From that day forward, he became more silent, darker, and he didn’t even show any emotions but sadness. Everyone at school was curious about what happened to him, but no one could understand. Black was realizing that many elements that made Canterlot didn’t please him, mainly the rich ponies he knew, who were constantly thinking about being superior to anypony else. He was really hating his own city. Spring was leaving place for Summer, Black’s mood was worsening, till he finished the school he attended by what seemed a very long time. It was the last day of school, and everypony met outside, in the square right in front of the building <> Said a filly <>Answered another one (Black made a wince) <> forced the first one.

For once, Black made an half-smile <> The conversation went on, and the square slowly empty. Black went home too. He was pensive. Without even greeting, he got upstairs, threw his bag in the corner and finally jumped on his bed. He was looking at the ceiling, thinking about the future <> he thought  <> after a while, he decided to act: he took his Geography book, and opened the last page, the one with the map of the whole Equestria. After a couple of minutes, he slipped downstairs to tell the Andershoof <> The couple was really nervous about his decision, but after a research, they discovered that there was a special academy nearby, so they decided to give Black a try, an academy meant a lot to him, and he felt like making his parents proud of him.

The problem of where to stay until September was solved quickly: Mr. Andershoof’s cousin lived there. He could stay there, at least before entering an academy; he hoped for it. Black’s stuff was already sent to Ponyville, he just needed to get there by train. He bought a one-way ticket. No one was there watching him, just a purple filly he never saw before, she was looking at him in a weird way, like he wanted to tell him “silly” or “Poor you”. Black saw his entire childhood from behind the glass. It was really hard to leave back everything you did since you were alive. He felt really bad. He just wanted to be remembered.
