//-------------------------------------------------------// Give Your Heart A Break -by ilovepinkx33- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter I //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter I "C'mon Gummy! Let's go play!" Pinkie Pie and her pet alligator, Gummy were having a nice pony to alligator day in Ponyville since Pinkie had an hour break from working at Sugarcube Corner so she had alot of free time with her pet. Her devotion to the alligator is like peanut butter to jelly. Although Gummy never really talked because he doesn't have any teeth, he does show devotion towards the pink pony. Their friendship was inseparable. They were always there for each other. Pinkie would tell Gummy anything and he would just listen and keep his word for it because he doesn't have any teeth. And Gummy always makes Pinkie happy and joyful whenever nopony was around. They would sneak up on ponies, join Dash on the pranks and dress up in costumes together, especially Nightmare Night where Pinkie once dressed as a chicken and Gummy as a chicken egg. They really are the two best friends that anypony can have literally. "WE'RE THE 2 BEST FRIENDS THAT ANYPONY CAN HAVE! WE'RE THE 2 BEST FRIENDS THAT ANYPONY CAN HAVE! AND WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER LEAVE EACH OTHER!" Pinkie sang happily. She and Gummy had planned to hang out with Fluttershy with her animal friends today.  Fluttershy was meek like a deer and was such a doormat. Pinkie's friend, Rainbow Dash would always get pissed off and lose patience with her shyness and poor assertiveness. Pinkie was quite understanding towards Fluttershy's shy nature so she always supports her when it comes to difficult tasks the yellow Pegasus couldn't do like jump over stepping stones one time in Canterlot. "Hey Fluttershy!" Pinkie called as she saw Fluttershy with her animal friends outside the cottage. Hearing her voice, Fluttershy turned to the pink pony and gave her a warming smile. "Hey Pinkie Pie." she responded in her usual soft voice. "Ready for Gummy to hang out with his animal friends?" she cooed as she talked to Pinkie's alligator. Gummy said or did nothing except for a little nod. "Oh goody! Alrighty, Pinkie. Now we have to wait for the rest of our friends and their pets to come over. Wanna have some tea?" Fluttershy offered as she was about to walk inside her cottage. "That sounds good!" Pinkie beamed as she hopped after her. *15 minutes later* "Hey Fluttershy!" greeted Twilight Sparkle as she brought her pet owl, Owlicious along. Zillion seconds later, the rest of the ponies arrived with their pets. "Howdy do, Fluttershy and Pinkie!" Applejack beamed. "Oh this is gonna be a goood day, I tell ya!" "Oh you bet it is!" Rainbow Dash grinned. "OH MY GOSH! You know what that means?! A PARTY!" Pinkie cheered enthusiastically as she took out her party cannon and suddenly started to bounce all over the place putting decorations and getting food ready for this party she's currently throwing. Everypony in Ponyville knows that Pinkie is such a party pony since most of the parties in Ponyville are thrown by her obviously. *5 SECONDS LATER* "TA DA! LET'S PARTY!" Pinkie said she finished with the last decoration 5 seconds later. Her friends stared at her in awe. "How the hay can you get this party ready in 5 seconds?!" Dash asked in astonishment. Pinkie shrugged. "I have no idea. I just finish party stuff super quick." she giggled. "Oh, Pinkie. You're interesting in so many ways." Twilight giggled. "WHATCHA WAITING FOR? LET'S PARTY!" *2 HOURS LATER* "Ahh, that was a good party." Fluttershy grinned. "I bet all our animal friends are tired as heck right now. Looks like it's time for me to take them in for naptime now." "Alrighty Flutters. Looks like we all have to get going too." Dash said as she petted her tortoise, Tank. "See ya everypony!" Pinkie said as everypony waved their goodbyes and left. "Alrighty Gummy. Its just you and me! Let's continue our rest of the day today!" she added enthusiastically as Gummy followed along. A pony and her pet. How better than this day be? Pinkie thought to herself. "Wanna play ball, Gummy?" she grinned. Gummy nodded. "Alrighty!" Two seconds later, Pinkie got a pink shiny ball she got for her birthday. It was a special ball since it was her favorite color. The ball was literally the same color as her hair. "Let's play!" Pinkie Pie and Gummy played a very nice game of catch at the park and then a game of tennis and b-ball. Despite it being like 2 hours already without taking a break, Pinkie and Gummy still had the energy in them to play. "Oopsie!" Pinkie cried suddenly as she threw the ball too far. Gummy went to retrieve the ball. Somehow, Pinkie threw the ball in the busy streets where alot of pony cars and carriages were moving by and so. "Oh no! Gummy! Wait! Lemme get the ball!" Pinkie cried in realization as she sprinted after the alligator. There was Gummy, ball in mouth with a happy gleam in his eyes that he got the ball. But then suddenly..... "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" Pinkie cried in horror as she sprinted to the road where there as a pony who stopped his car to see what he has hit. Tears started to form in the pink pony's eyes as she was face to face with nothing else but a ball and Gummy, dead on the road. "I am so sorry, Miss." said the pony as he looked at her apologetically. Not wanting to look him in the eye, Pinkie Pie leaned down to try to wake up the alligator but it was no use. "Please wake up, Gummy! Don't leave me...you're my bestest friend ever...you can't leave me." Pinkie sobbed. "Please open your eyes so that I know you're okay." But no response. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter II //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter II Pinkie Pie pinched herself if this was reality. Unfortunately, it was reality. Gummy, her beloved pet alligator died from a car accident because she threw the ball too far towards the busy road. Her little pocket of sunshine, happiness, and the most important thing who meant so much to her is never coming back to her again. "Oh Gummy. I'm so sorry, I would do anything to bring you back, but it's too late. I didn't make it in time. Now, you're taken away from me." Pinkie Pie sobbed, tears flooding her eyes as she cried a bucketload of tears. "What seems to be the commotion?" Rarity wondered as she and the rest of friends noticed the other ponies gathering around Pinkie, also wondering what happened. The driver who accidentally killed Gummy was explaining to everypony about what happened while Pinkie just slumped there, sobbing right by her dead friend. "Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow Dash called, alarmed as the friends dashed towards Pinkie. "You won't believe it guys. I lost the most important thing in the world!" she cried as she sobbed into Rainbow's mane. "Oh my, I'm so sorry." Fluttershy replied compassionately as she hugged Pinkie. Twilight, Applejack and Rarity were too shocked and hurt when seeing Pinkie like this. Poor Pinks. Applejack thought. That alligator meant so much to her. Rainbow Dash let Pinkie Pie have a good cry as her mane starts to deflate and her coat and mane lost all it's vibrant pink color. Pinkie felt her heart literally shatter to pieces as she felt the pain of loss. It's been days and months already since Gummy died and Pinkie's taking it pretty hard. She locked herself in her room and cried all day and all night, blaming herself that she lost her dearest friend. It has been concerning Mr. and Mrs. Cake since Pinkie hasn't came downstairs to work lately and they have been trying to coax her out of her room for once but no use. Pinkie's now glued to her room. Not only it has been worrying them but her friends are also concerned about it. "I am worried about Pinkie Pie right now." Dash said. "It's been already months now and Pinkie still isn't gonna budge out of her room!" "I know, she's still devastated about Gummy." Fluttershy added. "I know she is, but she has to move on with her life ya know? She's worrying everybody, including me. I'm starting to miss all the random talks and bubbly rambling Pinkie would always do when she's around." Dash replied sadly. "That is a good point, Rainbow but everypony tried everything to get Pinkie out of her room. But no use. And she hasn't been happy for months too. I'm really miss her happy smiles and giggles. I want that Pinkie." added Twilight. "I'm gonna go visit her then. I'm ready for a challenge. I'm gonna make her get out of her room once and for all and to help her with her loss." Dash suggested with determination in her eyes. "That's the spirit, Rainbow!" Applejack grinned. "Go get her!" The Sugarcube Corner haven't changed lately since Gummy's death. It seemed pretty normal to Rainbow despite the emptiness and hurt she's feeling after thinking about Pinkie. Dash went inside to greet the Cakes. The Cakes looked like they haven't slept for days and the sad frowns were literally be stuck on their faces for a while. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Cake. Dang! Everything has changed alot around here." Dash greeted with her signature smile as her eyes wandered around in shock on how horrible and dull the bakery was. Somehow it lost all their vibrant colors, the food and sweets Pinkie baked were all dark brown and gray like pebbles and Mr. and Mrs. Cake somehow looked like they lost their colors too not only because they were exhausted from all the work without Pinkie, but because Pinkie wasn't there to spread happiness and joy like she would always do since all the laughter was drained out of her body. "Where's Pinkie Pie right now?" she asked. "She's still in her room." Mrs. Cake looked at her with very sad eyes. "It's already months now since Pinkie's pet alligator died. We tried like everything to make her happy again but no use. Sugarcube Corner used to be a very happy place, now it's nothing but a sad, depressing place to be." added Mr. Cake as tears began to form in his eyes. "We miss the happy Pinkie. We tried everything to help her move on from Gummy but no use. That alligator meant so much to her." Rainbow Dash nodded. "I know. I just wish I can do something to make her happy again." The Cakes looked at her with hope. "Can you possibly help her feel better about her loss?" She smiled. "Of course I can! My job ain't finished til I see a pony feel better. I'm ready for a challenge." she winked as she dashed to Pinkie's room upstairs and there she was, slumped and down as she laid in her bed sobbing her eyes out for a while now. Dash tried to fight back tears as she saw Pinkie now. It hurts seeing her like this and would do anything to see that bright Pinkie smile again. "Hey Pinkie?" Rainbow called to her gently as she walked towards her. Hearing her voice, Pinkie turned to her. She looked like she haven't slept or eaten for days. Her eyes were bloodshot red from crying, her hair was slowly draining to a much more darker color and the sparkles that were once there in her eyes were completely gone. It was a horrible yet heartbreaking sight to see, according to Rainbow. "Hey, Rainbow." she sniffled as she wiped her nose with a kleenex. "What are you doing here?" "I'm here to make you feel better." Dash replied as she wrapped her hoof around Pinkie to comfort her. "And to help you get over Gummy." "Thanks for being a good friend, Dashie. But I'm not sure I'll be able to move on from him. He's my best friend,he's a good listener, he's so adorable and he's the only pet I have. No other pet can replace him." she responded wistfully. "A party isn't a party without him." Dash can literally feel her heart breaking as she felt compassionate and sympathetic towards the pink pony. She couldn't imagine what would happen if she ever lost Tank. "I know and understand how much he means alot to you but you know that he may not be here anymore but he will always will be in your heart." she reassured her as she pointed at Pinkie's heart. "Everything happens for a reason, how would Gummy feel if he sees you in this awful state? You wouldn't want him to feel sad because of his death, do you? Because in life, everypony lives and dies. It's a life process, Pinkie." Pinkie nodded in understanding. "Well that is true, Dashie. But how am I going to move on from him? It feels impossible." "I understand Pinkie. I felt this way too before. Tell ya what, I'll help you." Dash cooed as she pulled Pinkie in for a hug. She was determined to bring a smile back on Pinkie's face no matter what. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter III //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter III Despite knowing that nothing ever would obviously help her move on from her loss, Pinkie decided to let her friend, Dash give a try anyway to bring the smiles and giggles back in her because she got to admit that it isn't really fun being sad all the time. "What do you want to do, Rainbow?" she sniffled as she blew her nose for the second time. "First of all, you need to eat, Pinks. You are nothing but skin and bones. You need to have some meat in ya; and sweets ain't gonna help with your appetite this time." she replied with a serious look on her face. "If you say so." Pinkie didn't argue back. She was too exhausted and sad to even argue about anything. Rainbow led Pinkie out of her room which was the first time in months since she got out of the place. As the two friends went downstairs, the Cakes looked at Rainbow Dash in awe as the pink pony was right by her side, despite her hair still deflated and droopy. "Oh my gosh! You coaxed Pinkie out of her room! How did you do that?" Mrs. Cake asked in astonishment. Rainbow Dash shrugged. "I don't know, probably cause I'm too awesome? I"m just kidding, Mrs. Cake. I took Pinkie out of her room to take her out to eat since she haven't been eating anything lately." she finished with a sound of worry in her voice as she glanced at Pinkie's frail skinny body. The Cakes seemed to notice that as well. "That's good to hear, Rainbow. Pinkie really needs to eat since she hasn't been eating any of the food I keep giving her." said Mrs. Cake worriedly. "We'll be right back, c'mon Pinks." For the first time ever in a couple months after Gummy's death, Pinkie Pie stepped foot outside of the Sugarcube Corner. "Whatcha wanna eat Pinks?" asked Dash. "I really don't know......hay?" the pink pony replied hesitantly. "Well then, hay it is. We can go to Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack has a bunch of hay besides apples." As Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were on their way to Sweet Apple Acres, ponies were staring at them as if they were some foreign, extraterrestrial aliens from space. Some looked shocked, while some looked happy while some looked compassionate. "Hey, Pinkie Pie." said a pony. "You're finally out of Sugarcube Corner after all those months." said another. "I'm really sorry for your loss. I hope you feel better soon. We will all be waiting for your smiles and giggles to return to you in no time!" said another one. Pinkie gave everypony a small genuine smile and thanked them for their understanding and compassion. "It really means alot to me, everypony. Hopefully I can move on from my loss.." Pinkie trailed off as doubt flooded her mind whether if she can do it or not. Oh poor Pinks. Anyways, Pinkie and Dash finally made it to Sweet Apple Acres so that she can eat something which is hay. "Hey Applejack!" she called for the rodeo pony as she was nowhere to be seen. Just in a flash, an orange pony with blonde hair and a cowboy hat popped outta nowhere. "Howdy do, Rainbow Dash!" she said, her Southern accent slipping in as usual. When she noticed Pinkie was outside for the first time in months, AJ couldn't help but feel overjoyed about it. "Long time, no see Pinks." she smiled warmly and then that smile turned to a sad frown when she noticed Pinkie's awful state.. "Man, you look horrible like a little ole frail rat, sugarcube. You need to have some food in your system and I have just the thing!" she added as a light bulb with ideas popped up from her head. She walked back into the barn for something while the 2 ponies waited. A minute later, Applejack came back with a wheelbarrow full of hay of all kinds. Yellow, chocolate, apple-flavored and plenty more but mostly it was yellow. "Damn, AJ! You have alot of hay!" Rainbow Dash squeaked in astonishment. AJ chuckled. "Of course, Captain Obvious. I do live in a farm ya know." "Oh, I forgot." Rainbow Dash felt really stupid after that realization. "Enough chit-chat! Dig in, sugarcube!" AJ turned to Pinkie as she beckoned her to come. With no hesitation, Pinkie gulped down on the hay like a bear wolfing down on a bunch of salmon. Fortunately, after all the hay got into her system, Pinkie's mane and coat had slowly turned brighter. It wasn't really bright enough like the normal color she was but it was getting there. Dash and AJ grinned with hope knowing that Pinkie will soon get back to her normal self. "Thanks for the hay AJ!" Pinkie smiled as parts of her had begun to puff up a little bit. "It's so good! I was starving!" "Anytime, Pinks. I would do anything to help you get better again." she said warmly as she patted the pink pony on the shoulder. Pinkie giggled as her color kept turning brighter bit by bit. After lunchtime at Sweet Apple Acres, Rainbow Dash decided to take Pinkie Pie to Cloudsdale as she gave her a pegasus pony ride up to the sky for a nice view of Ponyville. She was a little heavy, according to Dash but she really didn't care. She flew her to certain places that earth ponies never knew about which fascinated the pink pony. Then Dash took her to Winsome Falls for relaxation and view of the rainbow waterfalls as she flew through the falls. "Oh my gosh, Dashie!" Pinkie cried excitedly as she gazed at the falls in wonder and excitement. "They're soooo beautiful!" she giggled as her color rapidly gotten even more brighter and her hair puffing up like crazy until the sparkles in her eyes have now gotten back to where they were. "I know right?" Dash beamed as she halted. Pinkie hopped off her back and began hopping around the wonders of Winsome falls. "Pinkie Pie! You're better!" Dash cried excitedly as she saw Pinkie's happy and joyful nature have returned to her. Pinkie grinned. "You bet it did!" she giggled. "Thanks so much for being there for me and helping me, Dashie. It really means alot." she said as she pulled Rainbow in for a hug and planted a friendly kiss on her cheek for appreciation. Rainbow blushed. "Ah, it's nothing Pinks. I just want you to feel happy again and move on from Gum..." she stopped herself realizing that Pinkie might probably not have gotten over Gummy yet. Pinkie's ears started to droop a bit. "Please don't go back to that state again, Pinks. We don't like seeing you like this, I want you happy again. I know Gummy was really important to you but remember what I said back at Sugarcube Corner?" she pleaded hopefully as she looked at Pinkie in the eyes, hoping that the sparkles wouldn't disappear again. "And I'll help you move on from Gummy." Instead of going back to the depression state, Pinkie instead gave Dash a genuine smile. "Aw, Dashie. I already moved on from Gummy even though I really miss him." Dash's ears perked in shock. "Really?!" "Yup!" she beamed. "You hung out with me, showed me all these cool things and it made me forget everything about Gummy. You did everything you can to help cheer me up and move on from Gummy. It really means alot to me, Dashie. That's what I like about you, that you keep on trying and trying which is what you did!" Dash couldn't help but feel a little heat of red puffing up her cheeks as she smiled sheepishly. "Ah shucks, Pinks. You really know how to make me blush like crazy." She giggled. "And well that's awesome! From now on, whenever you need anything, just come tell me. I'll be here to help you get through it." she winked. "That's a deal! Cross my heart and hope to die! Stick a cupcake in eye!" Pinkie did her little pinkie swear which was the most adorable thing ever according to Dash. "Tell ya what?" Dash smirked with a flame of competition in her eyes. "How about I race ya to the nearest waterful? whoever gets there first, wins!" "Okey dokey lokey!" Pinkie chirped cheerfully as she began to sprint. Dash flew past her leaving behind her signature rainbow streaks. As she flew, she suddenly began to have thoughts and goosebumps about the pink mare. Throughout her day with her, Dash couldn't help but feel protective and loving towards her more than a friend would do. When Pinkie's sparkles and giggles starts to get back in her, Dash felt a bunch of butterflies in her tummy and joy in her mind because she was the one who brought them back to the pink pony. When she looked at Pinkie Pie deeply in the eyes earlier, she literally got lost them as these new feelings of a possible love for the pony begins to develop. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter IV //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter IV NO! I don't like Pinkie that way! I was just happy that she's finally back to her normal self! Dash denied to herself as she flew and flew as her train of thought kept moving. But her mind kept messing her up and teasing her based on how she reacted when Pinkie gave her that unexpected peck on the cheek. I didn't expect that coming. she thought. And I actually liked it. She shook her head to get rid of the thoughts despite how much it kept bugging her about it. "Admit it." said her mind. "You like Pinkie Pie." "No I don't!" "Then why did you offer to go to Pinkie's room to help her then in the first place? Hmmmm.." "Because I care! You know what, I ain't gonna worry about this now because I have a race to win!" Dash muttered to herself as she flew as fast like the wind since she's almost nearby the waterfall. Not paying attention to anything else except for the destination, Dash didn't notice that Pinks was there so as a result, she bumped into Pinkie and they tumbled down over the rocks and to the meadows of Winsome falls. "Wheee!!" Pinkie giggled. "OW!" Dash screamed as her tail got messed up with Pinkie's during the tumble. As they stopped rolling, Pinkie was between Dash and the ground, giggling her head off. "That was fun! Let's do it again!" "Oh my gosh, Pinkie Pie! Are you okay? I'm so sorr.." before Dash can finish her sentence, she couldn't help but looked into the pink mare's enchanting and luring ocean blue eyes. She can literally see the ocean waves crashing with Pinkie's eye sparkles as the reflections and ripples of the waves. Rainbow felt like she was in a trance as she looked deeper and deeper into her eyes like if she was trying to look into Pinkie's soul. Dash didn't notice she slipped off a goofy, dreamy smile as a result of Pinkie's constant giggling again. "Are you okay, Dashie? You look funny!" she laughed. "You looked like some dazed dodo who drank some of AJ's sweet cider!" Dash somehow mentally tuned Pinkie out unintentionally when no response came out of her. So as a result, Pinkie's hooves grabbed Dash's face and squeezed her cheeks to make her look like those balloon fish she read about at Twilight's house. Dash seemed to notice it as she grabbed her hooves off her face and shook her head from her doozing moment. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Pinkie. I don't know what has gotten into me." she said apologetically as she got off Pinkie, looking dizzy like Derpy Hooves. Pinkie giggled. "It's no biggie, Dashie. After all, you really do look funny and cute as a balloon fish." she playfully nudged Rainbow on the shoulder. Dash smirked. "psh. I'm gonna get you for making me into a balloon fish." "Oh no!" Pinkie cried, pretending to scared. "I'm soo scared." she finished sarcastically as she winked at the blue pegasus. "Catch me if you can!" she laughed as she galloped away from her. "Oh no you didn't!" Dash smirked as she dashed after her. Fortunately, the pink pony couldn't even outrun her at this time as Dash caught her and tickled her playfully, making the pink mare laughing nonstop. "Okay, okay you win!" she laughed as she gave Dash a hug. "Thanks for making my day brighter than ever." she murmured with sincerity as she pulled Dash into a warm friendly hug and nuzzled against her. Rainbow's heart skipped a beat like a drum. "Anything for you, Pinks." she said warmly as she returned the hug despite the rapid beating of her heart. The next day, Pinkie Pie finally returned to work as the Sugarcube Corner turned back to their normal colors as happiness, joy and laughter had came back in the atmosphere. The Cakes were nothing but overjoyed seeing the pink pony happy again, it was all they ever wanted. Pinkie returned to doing all the activities she loved to do such as baking, throwing parties and most of all, hanging out with her friends. Everypony in Ponyville were overjoyed and relieved that their best friend had been feeling better and moving on from her loss of her pet alligator, all thanks to Rainbow Dash. "Wow, Rainbow Dash." Twilight Sparkle said in awe as she and Rainbow Dash hung out for a little walk. "You made Pinkie feel better and helped her so much. How did you ever do it?" Rainbow shrugged. "Ah it's nothing." she brushed it off like it was nothing. "It was an easy job to do." she winked, despite feeling goosebumps on her wings after hearing Pinkie's name being mentioned. Twilight giggled. "I know you can do it, Rainbow Dash. After all, you're the kind of pony who's ready for a challenge." "Of course I am ready for any challenge! But for this challenge, I kinda need some insight help about it." she whispered as she wandered her eyes around, checking if there's anypony around, especially Pinkie. "Why are we whispering, Rainbow?" Twilight whispered back as confusion took over. "Come here." said Rainbow as she took Twilight to a nearby tree and continued to look around cautiously for anymore ponies passing by. "It's just...ever since I started hanging out with Pinkie and helping her cope with her alligator death, I.....I started to have these weird feelings about her." "Weird feelings? Like what?" "Like...I get protective and loving towards her more than a friend would do. Like, I would do anything to make her happy and it would just make my day. Plus, everytime I see her eyes, I couldn't help but gaze into them and also her smile, it just makes me melt. And the way her hair and body glows in the sun and the moon with all those shades of pink..oh my gosh. I can't help but skip a beat to seeing somepony so marvelous and magnificent like her." Dash explained dreamily as she thought of the pink mare in her head. "What am I gonna do, Twilight? I never faced a challenge like this and felt feelings like this before." she finished with a sense of worry taking over her. Twilight gave her a reassuring, genuine smile. "Awww, that is sooo cute of how you think of Pinkie like that, Rainbow!" she gushed. "According to a book I read based on pony behavior, a pony or stallion who ever feel or think this way towards somepony else, it means they're falling for them so in your case Rainbow, you're falling in love with Pinkie Pie." Rainbow Dash's mind wasn't crazy after all. Rainbow really was in love with Pinks. Rainbow Dash looked at her with wide eyes in shock. "M-me?" she stammered. "I-in love with Pinkie? How can that be? How can Ponyville's most brave, adventurous, carefree, toughest and sportiest pegasus pony of all is weak against love?" she got into thinking mode as she paced back and forth. "Maybe it is true. Could be that I am in love with Pinkie because while I hung out with her at Winsome Falls earlier, I couldn't take my eyes off of her." She blushed as she remember what happened earlier. "But what if she didn't understand or love me back?" she asked worriedly. "I know you're scared to tell Pinkie but eventually, you're gonna have to tell her what you feel. After all, Pinkie herself will soon find out about it anyways. So just tell her." Twilight winked. "Yeah, you're right." Rainbow Dash mumbled nervously. "You'll be fine, trust me." Twilight reassured her. "You're right, I guess I'm gonna tell Pinkie." Dash said, feeling a little flame of confidence growing inside her. "That's the spirit!" Twilight beamed. "Go for it!" So Rainbow Dash dashed to Sugarcube Corner to find Pinkie Pie. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter V //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter V "Pinkie Pie!" called Rainbow Dash as she flew over to Sugarcube Corner, looking for the pink pony. There she was, baking cupcakes and sweets like always with that cheerful smile on her face. She hummed a very happy harmonizing tune which was like heaven to Dash's ears. Noticing Dash's presence, Pinkie turned to face her, beaming. "Hey Dashie!" she chirped as she waved hi to her. "What's up? May I get you anything?" "Nah, not really. I was just asking you if you wanna hang out today." she replied sheepishly. "Sure!" said the pink pony merrily. "But can we go to this specific place I wanna go first? I wanna do something." Dash nodded. "Anything for you, my dear." she did a cute little curtsy, causing cute giggles out of Pinkie. "You're so adorable, Dashie! I'm almost finished with these cakes so wait for two seconds or so!" In a flash, Pinkie put the cakes in the oven and seconds later took the other ones out of it that was all ready to be eaten. Rainbow Dash wanted to take a bite of one of her cakes. They seem so good. she thought. But I'm not that hungry. I can get some later I guess. Just then, Dash saw very beautiful violet gem on the counter. It has the most marvelous sparkles that she ever laid eyes on. She bet that Spike would probably love it since he loves to eat gems. Dash wondered what the gem is for as a lot of questions flooded her mind. Two seconds later, Pinkie popped up in front of the blue pegasus, startling her. "Okay, I'm done! Let's go!" she squeaked. She then took the gem off the counter and waddled away with Dash following behind. "Where are we going?" Dash asked, wondering where the pink pony wanted to go. "You'll see. Be patient!" Pinkie said with a smile as she waddled away. Dash chuckled to herself at the way Pinkie waddles like a cute little duckling. She was so adorable when hopping and now waddling. Oh, Dash just couldn't even with all the cuteness overload, especially that she'll tell her later on today that she loves her. She just couldn't wait, she felt her heart rapidly beating as the butterflies in her started dancing all over the place but she was nervous at the same time too. Hopefully, everything will turn out good in the end, she thought. She also thought about why Pinkie Pie has the gem in her hooves. Could she possibly give it to a special somepony? Her heart fell with that thought. Pinkie probably loves somepony else, she thought sadly. Or maybe she want to give it to Rarity for her dresses? She rationalized it. Oh well, looks like she has to ask her about it. "Hey, Pinks. What's the purple gem for?" Pinkie gave her a small smile with a little sadness in her eyes. "It's for a very good friend of mine, Dashie. Somepony who really deserves this." Dash can feel her hopes crashing down. Pinkie Pie might probably have feelings for somepony else so, but she should not assume that. Despite that sad thought, Dash decided to wait a little longer to find out what the gem was really for. Finally, the two ponies finally made it to their destination; the Ponyville Cemetery. It was in the far, far side in Ponyville where all the deceased and memorials were at for remembered ponies, pegasi, unicorns, alicorns, or any kind of creature here. "Alrighty, Dashie. Here is the place." said Pinkie solemnly as she stepped foot to the open gates. Rainbow Dash suddenly felt like the urge to protect her according to the creepy, dark mood of the place. Without any hesitation, she protectively wrapped her wing around the pink mare as she wandered her eyes around the place while the two were walking pass certain gravestones like if something would attack them or maybe a zombie pony apocalypse could happen. Pinkie seemed to noticed that when she giggled at the pegasus' overprotective side of her. "I'm fine, Dashie." she reassured her as she looked at her with a sweet smile. "There's nothing here, really. Ya know, you're super cute when you get super protective and I like that." she winked at her. "And if you're scared, I'm here to protect you too." Dash blushed. "You really know how to make me blush, Pinks. And I'm not scared! It's just I'm not used to a place like this." she mumbled nervously, low enough for Pinkie to not hear. Finally, Pinkie and Dash made it to the exact destination aka Gummy's gravestone. Pinkie walked towards it, with the gem in hand as she put the beautiful gem down next to it. "Hey, Gummy." she said to the headstone. "It's me, Pinks. How have you been? Are the animals in heaven treating you well? I know you're up there watching me now but I just want to say that I really miss you. I'm so sorry that I didn't get to you in time that day of the accident. It's my fault and it'll always be my fault." she continued as tears start to form in her eyes with a pained smile on her beautiful face. "I never should of thrown the ball too far to the road or I should of stopped you and sometimes, I think that I should of be the one to go, not you." Her voice started cracking as she begun to cry. "But I know you wouldn't want me to think this way and that you want me to move on through life without you but it just hurts to know that you'll never be coming back. That's all I have to say, I love you, I miss you and I'll always remember you." she finished as she slumped down, sniffling as she remembered those flashbacks she had when Gummy was alive. They really were the best moments ever but it hurts her to know that no new memories would ever happen again. "Hey, Pinks.." Rainbow Dash started as she pulled Pinkie in for a hug. "That is very sweet of you to do this for Gummy. And I understand how you feel but please don't ever think that way. Everypony would be so heartbroken if they ever lost an amazing friend like you, including me. And Gummy wouldn't like seeing you this way, he wants you to move on without him. Well, I know he can't talk and all but I'm pretty sure that's what he's thinking." she said with a gentler voice to comfort the pink pony. "You really have a good point, Dashie." Pinkie agreed as she looked up at Dash. "I wouldn't want to leave you all. I would miss you all so much." "Same with us." Dash said as tears start to form in her eyes. She knew that couldn't bear losing one of her best friends, known as the love of her life. She would do anything to make her happy and be there with her thick and thin. Pinkie hugged her as both of their noses touched. "Thanks so much for everything, Dashie. It means so much to me that you want to help me through this." "Anything for you." Dash gave her a warm look as she gave Pinkie a comforting kiss on the nose. "Awww!" Pinkie giggled as her nose got tickled by it. "And speaking of which, I also want to tell you something." Dash said with confidence. She was ready for it. "Okey dokey lokey! Whatcha tell me?" Pinkie grinned. She batted her eyelashes cutely at her, waiting for Dash's response. "How about I tell you in a different place? This place is giving me the creeps." Which was true. Despite the fact that Rainbow is very brave and bold, but a cemetery still creeps her out. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter VI //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter VI "Where you taking me Dashie?" Pinkie squealed excitedly. "You'll know when I get there. Hop on!" Dash smirked as she offered her a piggyback pony ride. Pinkie happily took the offer. "Yay! I love adventures!" "Me too. After all, I am sooo adventurous, ya know?" Dash chuckled as a sense of excitement starts to fill her senses. "Alrighty, this little rocket is on its way to take off! 10, 9, 8, 7, 6..." she joked playfully. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!" Pinkie finished for her, the giggles exploded out of her as Dash took off to the sky. Pinkie wondered where her blue flying friend wanted to take her to as she looked around her in awe and wonder about the mysteries about the blue skies. Dash was flying like the wind as she felt the cool breeze blow through her rainbow mane, sparks of excitement in her cerise colored eyes, and trails and streaks of rainbows left behind as she took off fast as lighting. They flew past Ponyville, Canterlot, Sweet Apple Acres, and plenty more places. Everypony looked just like ants according to Pinkie as she giggled at the sights of them. "WHEEEE! Oh my gosh! Look at everypony down there! They look like teeny tiny ants!" she giggled. Damn, Pinkie Pie giggles a lot. After all, she is the Element of Laughter. Rainbow Dash couldn't help but giggle at Pinkie's cuteness and awe of the "ant ponies", she called them. "Hey look, Dashie! It's your pegasus friends of Cloudsdale! Hi Rainbow Dash's Friends of Cloudsdale!" Pinkie called to the nearby pegasi. They waved back to her with smiles on their faces when Pinkie and Rainbow passed by them. "They have names ya know." Dash giggled at Pinks' long ass nickname for them. "Well, I'm sorry. I don't know their names so I'm calling them that for now." "You're too funny, Pinks." Finally, Dash found her destination; an unknown yet gorgeous mountain near Cloudsdale. It was a very gorgeous mountain, alright. It was majestically purple with fog surrounding it. It was a peaceful sight to see, especially how the moss grew on the rocks. As the two landed on top of the mountain, Pinkie looked fascinated by the landscape and the fact that they can see all of Equestria from up there. "ooooh! This is gorgeous, Rainbow! What is this place?" Pinkie asked curiously. Dash shrugged. "Well...let's just say it's a cool mountain near Cloudsdale. I honestly don't know what the name is but I've been here a couple times if I want some peace and quiet to myself since sitting on my cloud doesn't really always work for me sometimes. I'll have to ask Twilight what's the name of this then. haha" she giggled sheepishly since she took the pink pony here and that she doesn't even know the name. Wow, that is pretty embarrassing. Dash told Pinkie everything what it's like to be up in the sky seeing all the majestic wonders and sights it has. She would tell her stories at the time she would just come here to watch dragons flying by sometimes. She would either watch the dragons either with some pegasi in her weather team during break or with Fluttershy although she only likes to be near the ground. Besides dragons, Rainbow would just watch the sunset in peace. "So Pinks, you're pretty much the very first Earth pony that knows this place and that I took you up here." she winked at her. "But don't tell anypony else because if you did, I'm gonna have to deny it and I'll catch you. Deal?" "Deal! Cross my heart and hope to die! Stick a cupcake in my eye!" Again with the adorable pinkie swear. "So anyways, whatcha wanna tell me now that we're here?" Oh! Dash almost forgot about what she wanna tell the pony which was her feelings. "Well Pinks I.........I like you." she mumbled. "Sorry, Dashie I didn't catch that." Pinkie said as she stretched her neck as a result of her face inches away from Dash's. The blue pony blushed at the proximity between her and Pinks. "Pinkie Pie, I love you! I really do! I'm in love with you..remember the time I hung out with you at Winsome Falls? That was when I started to fall for you. I love the way you smile, the way you laugh and giggle, the way your eyes shine, the way you talk, and the way your shades of pink shines in the day and night. I love everything about you, Pinks. I can't help it with the fact that I love you." Rainbow confessed with so much passion then leaned her forehead against hers. There was awkward tension in a while. It began to bug Rainbow..she wanted to know what Pinkie's reaction was about her confession. For now, from Pinkie was a couple of blank stares and constant blinking from shock. Then, she started to warm up as a warm, sweet and genuine smile began to form on her beautiful face and gorgeous eyes shining the perfect blue. "Aw, Dashie. You're soo sweet. I never thought about this way about you." she gushed. "But I don't like you." Dash's heart began to fall as her ears started to droop. A couple minutes later, Pinkie suddenly leaned in and kissed Rainbow on the lips. "I love you too." she winked. Now it was Dash's turn to blink in surprise as she sighed in relief. "You're the bestest friend I ever had. I still remember when you came into my room to coax me out of it during my depression state because you care about me, and I appreciate that. I really care about you too. Plus, you were so adorable back at Winsome Falls the other day. You look so funny when you're lovestruck." Pinkie giggled hysterically. "Plus, I really love your eyes too and your personality, plus your colorful hair." "Y-you do?" Rainbow asked shyly. "Of course I do!" Pinkie chuckled. She pulled Dashie in for a hug. "I love you so much Dashie!" "I love you too, Pinks." Dash murmured lovingly as she kissed Pinkie. The scents of sugar, peppermint candy and lilies and rain mixed up to a very unique smell called the..... Supepandyilyrain. Weird combination but it's a sweet one alright. Pinkie was putty in Dash's hooves as she melted during the kiss. According to Pinks, Dash was a pretty good kisser. She felt tingles in her spine as she felt Dash play with her hair. It was the most blissful moment ever for these two lovebirds on an unknown mountain near Cloudsdale that Dash never even knew the name of. Dash pulled away from the kiss as she put her head into the crook of Pinkie's neck and nuzzled her as she planted sweet butterfly kisses on it. Pinkie giggled at the sensation and the touch of her kiss and head against her neck. She hugged the blue pegasus and cuddled her throughout the rest of the time they had. Later on today, Pinkie and Dash made their way back to Ponyville, smiles on their faces as they walked side by side. Dash with her wing around Pinkie with that goofy smile on her face as she gave the pink pony, dreamy stares and glances although she was oblivious of it as she waddled away. Waddle, waddle. As she waddled away; waddle, waddle. "Hey Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie!" greeted Twilight Sparkle as they were coming her way. "Hey Twilight!" Pinkie greeted. "D'aww! Look at the way Rainbow's looking at you, sugarcube! That is too cute!" Applejack gushed as she noticed the way Dash was staring at Pinkie. Giving her a quick glance, Pinkie was nothing but tickled pink as she was blushing at her gaze. Rainbow Dash somehow mentally tuned out her friends as she couldn't take her eyes off her. Pinkie giggled. "Aww, Dashie! She's too googly eyed to even pay attention!" "Of course she is." Applejack smirked as she gave Rainbow a slap on the back to snap her out of her dazing. "Whoa!" squeaked Dash as she shook her head, feeling dizzy. "Where are we? Where are we?" she looked around, wondering. "You're in Ponyville, Rainbow Dash." answered Fluttershy, giggling at her confusion. "Obviously you wouldn't know that, darling." Rarity chuckled. "You're too in love with Pinks to even know that." Applejack snickered. "You're too funny when you're in love, gurl." Rainbow Dash blushed. "Oh shush, you guys. You know I can't help it when I'm in love. Blame Pinkie for making me be this way." she pouted as she kissed Pinkie Pie on the cheek. "Well love is love, Rainbow. I know you can't help it." Twilight winked. "Looks like we're gonna leave you two alone for the rest of the day. Have fun, sugarcubes!" Applejack smirked as the friends left Pinkie and Dash alone once again.
