Tales of Equestria - Mystic Arte Exhibition
(Before you go on, read this first, just so I won't have any questions: '><><><><><><><' means the story is jumping to a later point. '~~~~~~~~~~' indicates a Mystic Arte is about to be performed. For those of you who don't know what a Mystic Arte exhibition is, I recommend watching this first.)

“Twilight, wha… what did you do?” Pinkie Pie asked.
“I think I may have done, what the Abyssian Scrolls from Canterlot describes as, a Mystic Arte.” I replied with uncertainty. I… I was still in awe of what I just did.
“What is a ‘Mystic Arte’ darling?” Rarity asked.
“From what I can remember,” I tried my best to remember what the Scrolls said, verbatim. “A Mystic Arte is an arte that combines one’s natural abilities to their fullest while in the ‘Overlimit’ state.”
“Overlimit? Was that what those red, yellow and orange lights that were circling around you?” Fluttershy asked.
“Correct, ‘Shy. For magic users like me, we need to perform an advanced level spell, such as Meteor Storm, to activate a Mystic Arte. For those whose utilize the more traditional weapons, unlike my Book of Spells, they need to perform an expert technique first before performing their Mystic Arte.”
“Wait, wait, I wanna know. What was that thing you said before those light-thingies moved around you?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Ah heard, ‘Time to test it out!’.” Applejack answered Rainbow’s question. I caught Rainbow stifling a snicker.
“What, Rainbow?” I asked her. What did she find funny?
“Did you say that to make your magic stronger?” Rainbow tried not to laugh.
“No. It just came to my head once I went into the Overlimit state. I didn’t say it voluntarily. It’s like something made me say it.” I did my best to explain. Rainbow fell on the ground into laughter.
“Ok, ok! So, when I go into that state, I’ll say ‘I’m bursting with energy!” Rainbow talked through laughter. I charged up my magic for a spell that would make Rainbow shut up.
“Gusts beneath the earth, flail my enemies into the air.” I recited this spell’s incantation. “Ascending Winds!” A crack of earth appeared beneath Rainbow. From it, a sudden burst of wind erupted, sending Rainbow into the air. She used her wings to fly before she hit the ground. She gave me an irritated look, but I paid no attention.
“It’s not just me. All of us can perform a Mystic Arte.” I divulged.
“Wow!” Pinkie jumped around happily. “I wonder what mine will be like?!”
“I don’t know. Mystic Artes can only be performed in battles. But I don’t see why we all can’t.”

~Twilight Sparkle/Book of Spells- Planetary Devastation, Rise the Sun! (“Time to test it out!”)
“Land, Sea, Air.
*Twilight’s horn glows at its thickest, magenta aura*
*A part of land stretching for miles emits a brown aura, similar to the aura Twilight’s horn produces. An enormous ocean and the vast sky give out their dark-blue aura and green aura, respectively*
“I call heed to Equestria itself to assist me in stagnating those with heartless intentions!
*The three auras converge onto Twilight’s glowing horn, combining into a thick, white aura*
Planetary Devastation!”
*The advanced-level aura explodes into a white light, damaging those in the blast range while not injuring Twilight and her friends*
“Mighty star!
*A yellow glyph appears below Twilight*
I take responsibility in leading you against those who harm the innocent!
*The glyph’s edges rises from the ground and morphs into a golden and fancily-designed force field, which carries Twilight off the ground and into space*
Can I do it…?
*Twilight doubts herself as the force field floats into the Sun. An image of Princess Celestia with a confident smile towards her student turn’s Twilight’s look into absolute determination as the force field goes into the Sun. Twilight comes back onto the battlefield, her horn glowing with a golden aura, much as Celestia’s, as she leads the Sun to force down onto her enemies*
I bet you’ve never had the Sun on you, huh?”
*With the last of her short-lived, high-level magic, Twilight sends the Sun back into space*
~Rarity/ Bow and Arrows- Diamond Crush, Radiance Deluge (“It is on!”)
“A lady needs not to act in a barbaric manner…
*Rarity’s horn glows its light-blue aura to encase her enemies in a medium-sized diamond*
But I can’t forgive you for injuring those when you want!
*Rarity pulls out 7 arrows from her quiver as she charges the tips of them with her magic*
Diamond Crush!”
*Rarity fires all seven arrows in a straight line, each line piercing through the crystal and through her enemies. The crystal cracks each time the arrows pierce it until it crumbles down onto her enemies*
“Genuine and pure!
*Using her magic, Rarity lifts a gargantuan rock and throws it into the air*
Under my command, shine off your brilliance, pierce with your luster and rain down on my enemies.
*Using one arrow with a sparkling, light-blue aura on the tip, Rarity fires it at the rock. The moment the arrow pierces through the rock, it changes into an enormous diamond momentarily before it is broken into diamond stalactites*
Radiance Deluge!
*The diamond edges fall down onto her enemies*
C’est Magnifique, no?”
*Rarity flips her mane back into a confident manner*
~Pinkie Pie/ Aura Necklaces- Superhappy Jubilee, Laws of Pinkie (“Alright! Fun time!”)
“This calls for a party! Whee!
*Pinkie throws colorful sparkles in the air, somehow changing the background to pink. The party pony springs around happily*
Come on, everypony!
*Pinkie shoots up into the air while curled up into a ball with millions of party sparkles spread far out from her*
Let’s hype those spirits up with a super-duper awesomega party! A Superhappy Jubilee! Woohoo!”
*Outstretching herself as though she was building up energy, Pinkie makes the party sparkles explode into a minefield of fireworks. At the same time, the massive amount of euphoria of Pinkie heals her allies.*
“Hmph! You meany meanies!
*Pinkie crosses her arm*
Somepony oughta teach you a lesson! Well, Professor Pie is here to teach you the Laws of Pinkie!
*With a massive leap, she jumps high into the air*
*Through some convoluted access, Pinkie grabs the name of her Mystic Arte and slams it onto one enemy and she grabs her cut-in picture and throws it onto another enemy*
Hah!
Oh yeah!” *Realization*
*She outstretches her hooves to impossible lengths and grabs ‘Mystic Arte’. She throws it down to the ground to have to explode in a bright pink flash*
~Applejack/ Bracers- Applebuck Shatter, Zap-Apple Cider (“Yee-haw!”)
“Ho-kay! Y’all picked on the wrong gal here!
*Applejack runs towards a single enemy. She leaps forward-flip into the air, lands behind the enemy on her front hooves and utilizes the gathered potential energy in her backhooves to kick the enemy back*
*Reacting instantly, she backward-flips into the air, creating a large distance between her and the incoming enemy*
Let me show ya what happens when ya mess around wi’ me an’ mah friends!
*She forces the enemy up into the air with a rising punch, Tensing the muscles of her back hooves, Applejack turns and brings her back hooves into her*
Applebuck Shatter!
*With a mighty thrust, Applejack applebucks at her maximum energy to the enemy, knocking the enemy to the ground*
Ain’ nothin’ to it if ah do say so mah’self”
“Y’all ok?
*Applejack gallops towards her allies with a barrel with a zap apple symbol on it*
No worries! Time for a batch of Zap-Apple Cider!
*Applejack sets the barrel down with a force that the lid pops right off. Afterwards, she throws the rainbow-colored cider in the air, somehow landing on her and her allies, yet they absorb it with no cider traces left*
Drink it all up!”
*The strength, speed, physical and magical offense and defense of Applejack and her allies are increased for the remainder of the battle*
~Rainbow Dash/ Metal Wing Blades- Sonic Rainbomb, Prism Phoenix (“I am so pumped!”)
“Can you handle this?!
*Rainbow takes off into the air and spins around her enemies, creating her Rainblow Dry, gathering her enemies into a single spot*
Hold on there! This isn’t my best trick! YAHHHH!
*Rainbow takes off high into the air, almost near Equestria’s atmosphere. Rainbow speeds off downwards*
Sonic Rainbomb!
*At near-maximum speed, the impact onto her enemies creates a rainbow-colored explosion*
How more awesome can I be?”
*Rainbow takes off into the air, but this time, she holds both her front and back hooves to make an ‘X’*
“Sacred bird of legends and fire begotten by ancient ponies, please allow me to use thy divine power to… uh…
*White ember sparks surround Rainbow before evolving into multi-colored flames in the shape of a phoenix*
Oh forget this!
*With her colored fire, Rainbow flies around the fighting area, striking any enemy in her path, if not all*
Prism Phoenix!
*On the last flight, Rainbow allows the multi-colored phoenix to advance forward by itself by jumping out of it. At its final flight, the phoenix dies down to a trail of rainbow flames*
Colored flames! Extremely awesome!”
~Fluttershy/ Chakrams - Vulnerable Gaze, Cerberus (“You can depend on me!”)
“P-Please, stay away…!
*Camera zooms in on a crouched Fluttershy, who is attempting to meekly retreat from the fight. Her hooves and hair bury her head as though she is willing to let her enemies injure her*
I said… stay away! Rrrgghh!
*With unexpected ferocity, she unleashes her trademark Stare, paralyzing her enemies. She uses the opportunity the fiercely throw her chakrams held by her tail, each one successfully hitting the fear-struck enemies with heavy force*
*Fluttershy catches her chakrams with her tail*
…Um, if you wouldn’t mind, that is.”
*Fluttershy speaks out to the sky*
“From the gates of Tartarus, I call to its Guardian. Cerberus!
*Cerberus appears with an intimidating growl to Fluttershy’s enemies. Cerberus leaps about the battlefield nine times, each landing dealing damage to the enemies either by Cerberus or the shockwaves from the ground slams*
*Focus shot to the damaged enemies*
Aw, who’s a good puppy?
*Shift to Fluttershy giving Cerberus a belly rub, who is enjoying it much*
Who’s a good wittle puppy?”
*Cerberus leaps up and runs from the battle off-screen*

“Damn it! We can’t break free!” I yelled. My friends and I don’t know what this new enemy was, but this alien, scorpion-like thing was too quick for us. Even Rainbow had a difficult time laying a hit on it. Now it trapped us in its bodily cage and its nerve-stopping tongue prevents us from evening moving.
“Ewewewewewewewewew!” Poor Rarity. I know she’s not a fan of getting dirty. This must be a nightmare for here.
“Hold it right there!” Hang on. I know that voice.
“Spike?!” I yelled out. Sure enough, I saw my assistant stand right in front of the scorpion alien.
“Twilight! Are you and everypony else ok?!” My baby dragon asked.
“No, we’re not! We’ve got this horribly, icky-sticky thing on us!” Rarity wailed.
“Spike, you’ve got to get out of here!” I didn’t want him to suffer the same fate we were about to.
“No way! I’ll get you six out of there!” Spike defied my concern.
“Spike, this is no time to act macho!” (Resume Music)
“I’m not acting, Twilight! Arrrrr!” Spike ran towards the scorpion alien. Oh… this is not going to end out well.

Spike/ Fighter- Rocket Rush, Draconic Inferno (“Bring it on!”)
“Got to give it my best shot!
*Spike starts to run towards the selected enemy*
Haaaahhhh!!!!
*With a strong jump, Spike leaps towards the enemy with his arms outstretched and pushes the enemy far away. The enemy suffers one hit from a speeding Spike and another from a crash landing from the shove*
Don’t mess with Spike!”
“Taste a piece of this!
*Spike tenses his body*
*With a mighty roar, Spike evolves into his adult form, this time, with control. With a deep intake of breath, Spike releases a green wildfire, burning his enemies*
*Afterwards, Spike reverts back into his normal form*
Whoa…”
*Spike wobbles a bit as he is in awe of the amazing power he displayed*
(Stop Music)

Once my friends and I got the feeling back, we were able to move once more.
“Spike!” I ran over to him as he laid on the ground, exhausted. “Are you ok?”
“Whoa… never thought I had that much strength.”
“Rarity, heal him!” I said to Pinkie.
“Right.” Rarity’s horn glowed as she concentrated her magic. “First Aid!” Most of Spike’s wounds had suddenly washed off. Spike now the energy to stand up.
“Thanks Spike. We would’ve been goners if it weren’t for you.” I congratulated him as I gave him a hug. All of us gave Spike a hug.
“Aw, guys…” I could tell Spike was being modest.

“What are those things?” Spike looked back on the fallen monster as we all were walking to Canterlot.
“None of us know, Spike.” I replied. “That’s why we’re going to Canterlot- to see if Princess Celestia and Princess Luna can shed some light here.
“Well, why are you all walking? Why not just use the hot air ball-” Spike paused for a moment of realization. “Right. They’ve taken over Ponyville.”
“Mah family…” Applejack muttered morosely. We had to leave Ponyville once too many of those aliens were popping out of nowhere. Applejack told us she, Big Macintosh and Apple Bloom were fending off the aliens, but Granny Smith told Applejack to go with us, since she was part of the Elements. As far as I know, the Apples are trapped in Ponyville, along with the residents there.
“Don’t worry Applejack. We’ll rescue them.” Rainbow said. Applejack cheered up at the remark.
“You’re right. We jus’ nee’ ta figure what’s goin’ on here.” Applejack said. With that, we all made our way to Canterlot as fast as we could.

“Whoa…” Usually, Canterlot is full of unicorns bustling about. Now, it’s just lifeless.
“Twiley!” I know that voice. I turned to see-
“Shining Armor?” Yes. It was Shining Armor! He was hiding in one of the shops in the town square. First thing I noticed was the spear on his back. “Have there been monsters here as well?”
“Well, hello to you too, little sis. And yes, there have been a couple. We’ve been waiting out here in case more tried to get into Canterlot castle.”
“’We’?” Rarity asked. Just then, somepony else appeared from the shop.
“Cadance!” I ran over to my old foalsitter and threw a hug around her.
“Twilight!” Cadance was happy to see me as well. I noticed a spear sheathe wrapped on her back.
“I didn’t know you were skilled with a spear.”
“Shining Armor’s been teaching me.” Cadance explained.
“Um, everyone?” Fluttershy asked. She was looking at the sky.
“Don’t tell me…” Pinkie sounded like there was something she didn’t want to see. All of us looked up.
Monsters. Aliens. Whatever they were, the bunch of them were dropping from the air as though they knew we’d be here. Eight beings, their specialty I assumed were in physical onslaught based on their apparent armor and sword.
“Everyone, get ready!” Rainbow yelled out. All of us got out our respective weapons. Both my brother and my sister-in-law got their spears out. I have to admit, I want to see what they can do. (Resume Music)

~Shining Armor/ Sovereign Spear- Royal Rejection, Strength of Heart (“Not over yet!”)
“As Captain of the Royal Guards, it’s my duty to ensure no innocent being is hurt.
*Shining Armor’s horn glows its usual magenta aura. Shining concentrates enough to have a white spark travel from the base of his horn to the tip*
And that means… no malicious being will succeed!
*Shining raises his head in the air. The white spark turns into a circular magenta glow*
Royal Rejection!”
*The glow first manifests itself as a small, magenta barrier around Shining Armor, then quickly expands around the unicorn. The barrier’s increasing circumference damages and pushes back Shining Armor’s enemies *
“Cadance!
*Shining Armor runs to his wife*
Together, my love. Your love, my protection.
*Shining’s magenta-glowing horn connects with Cadance’s cyan-glowing horn. The connection produces a strong, violet glow at both tips of their horns. Five white streams appear from the violet glow and swirl around the couple. The ends of the streams attach to their horns, leaving the other ends to form a slow-spinning barrier around Shining and Cadance*
Strength of Heart!
*Both Shining and Cadance yell out their combined magic. The glow suddenly bursts from their horns and forms a swiftly-expanding, violet barrier, mixing with the streams. The barrier not only damages and pushes back their enemies, but also heals their allies*
You can always count on me being here for you, Cadance.”
~Cadance/ Valkyrie Spear- Noble Bastion, Strength of Heart (“Leave it to me!”)
“No need to panic.
*Cadance’s horn glows its common light-blue aura. The aura intensifies as Cadance focuses*
I’ll aid all of you! Noble Bastion!”
*Cadance raises her head and summons a rapidly-expanding barrier of her horn’s aura, restoring a great deal of her allies’ HP*
“Shining Armor!
*Cadance runs to her husband*
Together, my beloved. Your protection, my love.
*Cadence’s cyan-glowing horn connects with Shining Armor’s magenta-glowing horn. The connection produces a strong, violet glow at both tips of their horns. “Well… that’s good and done.” Shining was the first to speak after all of us killed the monsters.
“Shining Armor?” I wanted to know something.
“What is it, Twilight?”
“How did you and Cadance do that kind of Mystic Arte?” I forgot he didn’t know what a Mystic Arte was. “By ‘Mystic Arte’, I mean-”
“No need to explain. Princess Celestia taught it to Cadance and I right before she left.”
“Left?! Left where?!” Where had my mentor gone?!
“She said she was going to find the source of all these creatures.” Cadance answered. “She told for Shining and I not to do anything else other than protect Canterlot Castle.”
“If Princess Celestia is out who-knows-where, then who’s protecting the Castle from the inside?” Fluttershy asked.
“Princess Luna.” Shining answered. “Princess Celestia gave the authority of the Castle to her sister. Cadance and I are not to do anything else unless Luna tells us otherwise.” At that moment, all of us heard an explosion that shook the ground momentarily.
“Oh no! Smoke is comin’ from th’ Castle!” Applejack pointed at the black cloud forming from the Castle.
“We have to go there, right now! Princess Luna could be in danger” I commanded everyone. At full speed, we ran towards the Castle.

When we arrived at the Castle doors, we saw they had been broken in half.
“Whatever’s beyond here, it apparently excels in physical strength.” I shared with everyone.
“Stay on your guard, everyone!” Shining Armor warned us. He was the first to enter through the doors.
We all waited out for a while.
“EVERYONE, GET IN HERE NOW!” My brother’s voiced bellowed. We all ran inside and were greeted by a sight I hoped never to see.
Princess Luna was hung by her legs from the ceiling and was being assaulted from four sides by more of those creatures; all who were physically superior.
One of them looked at the ones who entered the doors. As it did, the other three repeated his action. They stopped pummeling Princess Luna and proceeded to walk towards us.
“Don’t even think you’re going to get away with assaulting our esteemed princess of the night!” Fluttershy harshly warned them as she pulled her chakrams out.

The last of the creatures laid dead before us.
“Thank you, everyone.” Princess Luna’s mane wasn’t flowing right and she sustained dire injuries, but she was able to stand and speak. “Another moment and those brutes would’ve gotten the best of me.”
“What happened?” Spike asked.
“I’m not sure. I was just keeping watch of any of those monsters. Next thing I knew, I was yanked into the air while being positioned upside-down, ropes were tied on my wings and legs and my horn failed to do any magic.” Princess Luna’s eyes locked onto her horn. A moment later, her horned glowed its dark-blue aura.
“Where’s Princess Celestia?” I asked her.
“To be honest, I don’t know. She said she was going to discover the source of all of these evil beings, but she hasn’t come back. I fear something has happened to her.”
“Then why don’t we go and find her?” Pinkie asked.
“I can’t ask you to do that. It’s much dangerous. Who knows what kinds of monsters lie ahead?” Luna worried.
“What’s there to worry about? There’s me, Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Spike, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and me. That’s eight!”
“Pinkie, you counted yourself twice.” I said.
“Oops! Well, that’s seven.”
“No, it’s too dangerous.” Luna’s decision seemed absolute.
“Well, what if Cadance and I went with them?” Shining Armor popped up.
“That’d be nine! We’d be evened out!” Pinkie injected. However, Luna pondered for a moment.
Finally she spoke. “Shining Armor and Princess Cadance, you have my permission to travel with the Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Spike.”
“But Auntie Lu- I mean Princess Luna, you sure you don’t need us?” Cadance asked.
“No need. I’ll do my best to guard Canterlot as best as I can.”
“But Auntie-”
“No time to waste. Go to the Temple of the Royal Sisters. You’ll find an artifact there that will direct you to your next destination. I fare that your journey is a safe one.”
“Ok.” I said. “Please take care, Princess Luna.” With that, all of us ran off.

“Heh. Déjà vu.” I remarked as we entered the top floor of the Temple of Royal Sisters.
“How so, sugarcube?” Applejack asked.
“We all came here the find the Elements of Harmony. Now we’re here again to find an artifact that will tell us where Princess Celestia is.”
“Huh?” There was a dark circle forming underneath me. Instinctively, I jumped out of the way- just as the circle erupted into dark-blue flames.
“Bother! Just when I had you in my grasp.” No… tell me it isn’t…
“Nightmare Moon!” All of us yelled.
“Correct, you foals!” The evil ruler of the night set herself down upon us. All of us prepared for combat
“What have you done to Princess Celestia?!” Rainbow Dash angrily asked her.
“So quick to pass on judgment, now aren’t we? Rest assured, your princess is alive, but about.”
“What do you mean by ‘about’?!” I demanded to know.
“All I can say is that your search ends here! And even if you were to defeat me once again, there’s still more of us to go through before you even have a chance of saving your Princess!” Nightmare Moon said with evil glee.

~Nightmare Moon - Slaughter the Morning (“You will never see the light of day!”)
*Nightmare Moon stamps her hoof on the ground*
“O, joyous cloak that is superior to the wretched day, be my servant and rid those who bask in the burning star.
*Her forever-flowing mane and tail extend and combine to a high-level twister. From the zenith of the twister appears a longsword, a cutlass, a katana, a saber and a falchion; all coated with the same glistening, purple aura as Nightmare Moon’s mane and tail*
Slaughter the Morning! Hahahahahahaha!
*Nightmare Moon laughs as each of the five night-swords slash and cut up her enemies*
The night will last for eternity!”
~Discord - Chaotic Mirage (“Time for havooooc!”)
“Have a taste of this!
*Discord warps the battlefield into a field of chocolate milk solids. The chocolate milk solids explode on Discord’s enemies, one by one*
Nope!
*As the last explosion occurs, the battlefield instantly shifts to land stretching for infinity. Discord flies above the ground. With the yellow glow from his lion hand, the ground suddenly wobbles and its physical hardness unexpectedly transitions as though it were water, creating a thick quicksand for his enemies*
Over here!
*Again, Discord bends the reality to place his enemies in a fiery place, only the fire doesn’t burn his enemies, but rather, it freezes them solid into red ice, where the enemies suffer from hypothermia*
How about this? Chaotic Mirage!
*Lastly, Discord transports his enemies into a space-like area with two white-colored black holes. The two swirl, creating the last set of damage to Discord’s enemies*

~Gilda - Roar of the Majestic King (“Bring it on, punks!”)
“What a bunch of dweebs!
*Gilda inhales a powerful breath*
Get out of my sight!”

*The last asteroid, one bigger than the previous asteroids, manages to hit the barrier, but forces it down back to Equestria with high speeds. As the barrier with her enemies collapses back onto the battlefield, the last asteroid shatters the barrier and delivers massive damage to Trixie’s enemies before it breaks and fades away*

*Sombra transforms into his bodiless form and dives in underground, leaving a jagged-outline black area. The outmost edge of the area zigzags a path under his enemies, causing the crystals to pop out from the trail and piercing Sombra’s enemies*
Sentence the defiant ones to death!”
*A mountain of a jagged, dark crystals appears from underground as a center from Sombra’s enemies. Sombra’s floating head at the summit solidifies into his physical body as the crystal mountain rises. The crystal mountain’s jagged edges delivers the final five stabs as it reaches its rising maximum*

“I think it’s safe to say we’re making excellent progress here.” Shining Armor said as we entered Canterlot. We had gotten word from Princess Luna that she had driven all the creatures, or as what the Diamond Dogs called them, the Kerezers, out from Canterlot. Most of the ponies have taken refuge here and Cadance suggested we come and check things out.
“So far, everything looks good.” I said as we walked through the Canterlot town square.
“WHOA!” We all hadn’t noticed Rainbow wasn’t with us. We all looked back to see Rainbow holding a flyer in her hooves.
“What is it, Rainbow Dash?” Spike asked as we walked to her.
“Guys, check this out!” Using my magic, I took the flyer out of Rainbow’s grasp and read it for myself.
“Hmm… ‘Canterlot Coliseum: Now exhibiting the first Equestrian Thrash Tournament. Everypony is allowed the chance to brawl with some of the most skilled fighters and a limited time battle with 200 of the Kerezers. Should anypony choose the 200 Endurance Challenge and survive, they will be given a chance to fight five of the mythic evils of generations past: A centaur, a stone canine, an outer being with mystical liquid, a cloud menace and a goat spellcaster. Prizes for winning range from 50,000 bits to high-quality weapons. The Thrash Tournament holds matches for an individual or teams of four.’”
“We gotta enter that tournament! We gotta we gotta we gotta!” Rainbow said eagerly.
“I don’t know Rainbow. We really should focus on finding Princess Celestia.” I said.
“Twiley, entering this tournament sounds fun.” Why is Shining Armor agreeing with Rainbow. “It’ll give me a chance to show my stuff.”
“But Shining, I thought the purpose of being a Royal Guard was to protect the innocent.”
“Actually Twilight, ah think tryin’ out for this tournament does sound amazing, especially fighting a centaur. I don’t have a clue what that is, but ah figure it’s worth going through a lotta enemies.”
“Let’s go!” Pinkie enthusiastically said.
“How many of you want to enter this?” I grumbled. Everyone was in favor. Everyone except Fluttershy.
“I don’t think fighting for fun sounds fun.” She said.
“Sorry, dear,” Rarity started. “But you have Twilight have been outvoted.”
“Even you Rarity? I thought you all of ponies would be against getting dirty.” I said.
“Well, yes, but ‘high-quality’ weapons! Who knows how pretty and deadly a new bow for me would be?” I sighed in defeat.
“Well… I guess a little detour won’t hurt.” And so, we all went to the Coliseum.

“So it’s agreed: Cadance, Applejack, Rainbow and I will enter.” I said after we finished signing our names. I saw a bruised pony off my right who just finished fighting. Spike went off towards him, to I guess ask him something. After five minutes, he came back.
“The guy over there said he’s fought all of the Five Mythic Evils. He said they are, in order, Tirek the Centaur, Crunch the Rockdog, Hydia the Human with her negative Smooze, Arabus the Cloud Menace and Grogar the Necromancer.”
“He told me Tirek fights with his strength and with a bag of evil rainbows he holds around his neck.” Spike continued.
“Negative rainbows?” Rainbow and Fluttershy were puzzled.
“And that Crunch can petrify ponies with his hand.”
“Petrify?” I asked uneasily.
“And that the Smooze of this Hydia can make you feel all grumpy and slow you down.”
“’Smooze’?” Shining Armor wondered
“And that Arabus can take your shadows and eat them.”
“Take your shadows?” Pinkie asked being flabbergasted.
“But he told me Grogar is the most dangerous of all. He holds some magic that isn’t even native to Equestria. That guy didn’t even last two minutes against him.
“Combatants: Twilight Sparkle, Mi Amore Cadenza, Applejack and Rarity, please come to the Coliseum. Your fight is about to begin.”
“Sounds like we’d better really watch ourselves out there, girls.” Cadance said. The four of us were showered with ‘good luck’ and ‘go get ‘em’ from our friends.
We made our way to the center of the Coliseum. Thousands and thousands of ponies were in the stands, cheering us on.
“Ready, ladies?” Rarity got had her bow and arrows out. Cadance had her spear out. Applejack was wearing her bracers. And me? I got my Book of Spells out.
“Let the Tournament commence!” A voice on speaker yelled out. The four of us positioned for 195 ponies and monsters.

“*pant* *pant*” All four of us had never fought this long. “How’s everypony doing?” All of us were covered in bruises and scratches and various effects from spells.
“Ah’ve been… better.” Applejack wearily responded.
“That… bow will be worth through all this mess.” Rarity exhaustedly answered.
“Still better than fighting Chrysalis.” Cadance said through fatigue.
“We’ve got to keeping holding on. We’re about to fight the Five Mythic Evils.”
“AMAZING! This team has shown tenacity, attitude and tremendous strength! Will they perform with the same admirable qualities with the last five?! Let’s see right now!” The announcer announced.
A gate to the right of us, which hadn’t been used, started to open up. Cadance, Rarity, Applejack and I could make out five figures as they stepped into the Coliseum.
“My gosh…” I was in complete awe as I saw them: A being that had the lower half of a horse but had two extra limbs and a red, mean face. A humongous dog, made entirely of rock. A… strange being on top of a weird, purple liquid. A cloud monster with an evil smile. Lastly, a goat with complete red eyes and sclera with bells around his neck. The centaur stepped first to our side.
“So it’ll be four against one for each of them, huh?” Cadance observed. “Get ready, ladies!”

*Tirek grabs the black bag tied around his neck by a string and opens it*
*With a purple spark, a stream with a combination of violent violet and corrupt black appears out of the bag. The dark stream swirls around Tirek’s enemies, weighing them down. Somehow, the stream creates a red fire. The swirls suddenly constrict the enemies. The combination of the constricting swirls and blazing fire damages the enemies*
~Crunch the Rockdog- Gravel Coffin (“You make me mad!”)
“I hate nice!
*Crunch slams the ground with his front paw, creating a shockwave that damages his enemies*
I hate sweet!
*Crunch slams his other paw to make another shockwave*
Rgghhhh… Nice deserves to be crushed!
*Crunch digs his front paws deep into the rocky ground and pulls up a gargantuan, jagged-edged boulder.*
Gravel Coffin!”
*Crunch throws the boulder at his enemies. The boulder damages Crunch’s enemies eight times as it sinks before going in completely underground*
~Hydia & Smooze- Tormenting Flood (“I can’t stand ponies!”)
“Oh, enormous and never-ending Smooze, corrupt all those that is good and pure!
*Hydia raises her hands in the air, commanding the Smooze to her bidding*
Tormenting Flood!”
*The Smooze multiplies in size, nearly covering the battlefield. The Smooze rises in an upward spiral to gather its potential energy, then drops down onto its enemies, bringing about injuries. Not only does it damage, but the Smooze decreases the physical and magical attributes of its enemies*
~Arabus- Shadow Calvary (“Give me your shadows!”)
“Shadows, come forth!
*Arabus raises his hand to change the sky of the battlefield to one with a dark atmosphere. In the process, the shadows of his current enemies pop out under them. The shadows run to Arabus and position themselves as his bodyguards*
Charge down and trample them to dust! Bring their shadows to me!
*Arabus lowers his raised hand towards the shadows. The shadows suddenly multiply into an army of 1000. The multitude of shadows proceeds to run over Arabus’ enemies, causing a succession of damages to them*
*The shadows are then pulled into Arabus’ mouth, restoring half of his total HP*
Mmm! Tasty shadows!”
~Grogar- Necro Prison (“I’ll banish you from existence!”)
“There’s no place to hide!
*Grogar’s horns glow a fiery black*

*The bell on his neck shines with a burning darkness*
Come out, dimensional elements and trap the ones I despise!
*From both his horns and bell, an allocation of red, magenta and black orbs. The orbs take their places: the magenta orbs form into a cage that paralyzes the enemies, the red orbs form chains that hurt the enemies as they are binded and the black orbs join into a gigantic sphere that encases the enemies trapped and binded by the cage and chains respectively*

*The air inside the sphere sets off, damaging the enemies 17 times* (Stop Music)

“There it is! The Gates of Tartarus!” Rainbow pointed out to the cavern ahead of us.
“This is where the Kerezer leader is holding Princess Celestia.” I muttered to myself.
“No time to dawdle! Let’s go and stop the leader and save Princess Celestia!” Fluttershy spoke with determination. All of us ran inside the cavern. We knew there would be powerful enemies inside, but all of us have grown powerful as well. Princess Celestia, we’re coming to save you!

When all nine of us arrived at the next room, we expected another brute Kerezer to fight. However, we didn’t expect the next room to be very huge.
“Huh? What’s wi’ this room?” Applejack asked. All of us walked to the various points of the room to.
“Hey guys, look up there!” Spike pointed up to the ceiling.
“What’s with the clear gems?” Rainbow asked as we all looked up. There were clusters of clear gems, stuck on the ceiling.
“Hm… maybe we need to get them down?” Rarity wondered.
“Better than doing nothing.” I said. Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Cadance pulled some of the gems down one by one.
Once all the gems were all pulled off, we wondered what to do next.
“Good job everyone.” Wait, that voice!
“Princess Celestia?!” All of us yelled. There she was by the one part of the room that, like all the others, opened when we defeated the Kerezers.
Hang on, something seems weird about her… Bah, the whole adventure’s probably getting to me.
“Spike, you must eat the white gems.” My mentor said rather demandingly.
“Wait, Princess Celestia!” I ran towards her. “It’s been so long! What’s happened?!” I wanted to know.
“In due time, my student.” She answered, not even a second after I spoke. “Right now, Spike eating the gems is most necessary. It’ll help stopping the Kerezer Leader.”
“Why does Spike-” Rainbow started, but she was cut off.
“There is no time to question my command! Do as I say!” My mentor’s voice sounded full of haste and irritation.
“R-Right!” Spike grabbed as much of the white gems as much as his arms could hold. He caught gaze of Princess Celestia. She was looking at him with a gaze that said ‘Don’t waste time and hurry up!’. Spike hurried and munched on the gems.
After a few seconds of eating, all of us noticed Spike clenched his stomach. “Ow…”
“Spike, what’s wrong?” Rarity walked over to him.
“My stomach…” Spike fell onto the floor. “It hurts…” Immediately, all of us grouped around Spike.
“Spike? Cadance, Rarity, see if you can heal him.” I said to them.
“I’m afraid that won’t be necessary, Twilight Sparkle.” I heard Princess Celestia say. I turned to my mentor with a questionable look.
“Why?”
“Your friend, Spike is long gone now.” Is it me, or are the colors on her mane and tail a bit darker? “There’s no way to help him. It is futile.”
“But…why?”
In a swift motion, my mentor was whacked on the head with the wooden part of my former foalsitter’s spear.
“Cadance!” Shining Armor yelled out as I watched in horror what she had done.
“You’re not my Aunt Celestia!” She yelled.
“Nghh… How dare you treat your ruler this way!” Princess Celestia yelled. Cadance swooped under her and gave her another whack.
“You’re not Princess Celestia! The real Celestia wouldn’t be so harsh and unfairly commanding!”
“You reckless fool.”
“Guys! Spike!” Applejack yelled out. I heard an uproar, one that sounded full of destruction. I looked at-
“What is that?!” The… dragon. The white dragon with black eyes and pink sclera. The red spines and barbed tail.
“Astounding, isn’t it?” Why was my mentor…
“Why is Spike-?” I asked, but she was gone. The dragon swung its tail at us, but at the last minute, my brother put up a force field around us.
“I’ve got a feeling that Spike isn’t himself.” Shining said as the tail kept hitting at his barrier.
“Why would Celestia do this to him?” I wondered.
“Twilight, that thing wasn’t Princess Celestia. It looked like her, but it wasn’t her!” Cadance said with conviction. “Why would the real Celestia have Spike chomp on gems that would turn him into a-”
“A horrible, brutish dragon?!” Rarity finished.
“Right, Rarity. Anyways, we’ve got to return Spike back to normal.” Please, I hope not by what I think she means.
“You mean by fighting him?” Pinkie asked.
“I’m afraid so. It’s either that or have him crush us to death.”
“But, I can’t…” I morosely muttered. How can I hurt my little baby dragon?
“Twilight, I know you don’t want to hurt Spike, but we have no choice.” Shining told me. I could see the barrier was starting to crack from constant smashing.
I thought for a few seconds. “Ok… For Spike…”
“Everypony, as soon as I close the barrier, run! We’ll gather around him and do our best to incapacitate him. Ready?” All of us nodded. (Resume 'Awkward Justice)
“Go!” Shining closed the barrier and we all zipped away, just as the tail slammed onto the floor with such floor that it was stuck.

Shining Armor and Cadance walked on over to Spike. I didn’t want to have to hurt him, but it was necessary for to return him to normal. As soon as we defea- I mean, reverted Spike, the exit made itself known.
Cadance had started to heal Spike’s wounds. “He’s suffered a lot from us, but he’ll be fine.”
“You guys go on ahead. We’ll stay with Spike.” Shining announced.
“Ok. Let’s go, girls. Ah think there’s somepony waitin’ for us.” Applejack said with a determined look.

All six of us walked into the lowest point of the Gates of Tartarus. There, the thing that looked like my mentor waited for us.
“I’ve been waiting for you.” She said.
“Cut the stupid act! We know you’re not Princess Celestia!” Pinkie yelled at her.
“My, my Pinkie Pie. No need to be so rude.”
“That’s really funny, coming from the one who demanded Spike to eat those corrupted gems without giving a reason why.” Fluttershy spoke out.
“Now tell us. Who are you and what have you done with our princess?!” Rainbow demanded to know.
“I suppose there’s no need to drag this out any longer.” Her voice was suddenly filled contempt and hatred. Her horn glowed, but with a red aura instead of her usual golden. Her colorful mane and tail slowly faded to black. The gems on her crown and necklace changed to red, which was also the color of the sparkles on her mane and tail.
“Where is our princess?!” Rarity repeated Rainbow’s question.
“Not much for intelligence are you? I am your Princess! To put it in correct terms, you are looking at your princess’ physical form but not her mindset and power.”
“So you’re the one behind all this, huh?” Applejack asked.
“I take it back: you’re the one lacking in intelligence the most.”
“The leader of the Kerezers. I thought you’d look a little different than what King Sombra had said. Speaking of which, how were you able to control all of them?” I asked
“A simple mind-control magic does wonders.”
“Why?”
“Would I really be that stupid enough as that Changeling Queen to reveal my true intentions?”
“It’s obvious, isn’t it? World domination?” I asked.
“Commendable, Twilight Sparkle. Then I suppose you know-” The Kerezer Leader’s horn glowed red. “…I can’t let anypony, dragon, alicorn, dog, griffon, all of this world’s damned beings, get in my way!” All of us readied ourselves, for our toughest battle yet.
“There’s nothing anybeing can do.” The leader said before the bloody brawl ensued.

*Keres Celestia’s horn glows dark-red. Far into Equestria’s atmosphere, Keres Celestia’s magic moves to Sun slowly to the battlefield. Pulling the star appears not to have strained Keres Celestia, even after she alters the Sun to augment its temperature, changing it to a blue Sun*
Fire, burn the Holders of Harmony into bones and dust! Hypernova!”
*The Holders of Harmony succumb to the unbearable heat of the blue Sun, taking initial damage. With a sadistic smile, the corrupted alicorn uses the last of her magic to force the blue Sun to detonate, bringing excruciating and searing pain to the Holders*
“You think you are the only ones capable of wielding ancient magic? Witness upon a magic far more ancient than time itself!
*Keres Celestia’s horn glows, this time, shifting from red and Princess Celestia’s yellow, at second intervals*
Farewell!
*Six beams, each a separate of red and yellow, is fired from Keres Celestia’s horn to the Holders of Harmony. Though the beams do not injure them even the slightest, each of the Holders recognize something is wrong. Unexpectedly, they collapse on the ground as though something vital was taken from them. Above them are symbols familiar to each of Holders and each of them look in horror as they no longer have their cutie marks. A six-sided magenta star with tiny white glimmers, a red apple, a yellow and light-blue balloon, a light-blue diamond, a cloud with a red, yellow and blue lightning, and a pink butterfly all travel towards Keres Celestia*
*The cutie marks amalgamate all around Keres Celestia and rush through her, producing a red shine. The red shine dissipates to reveal their cutie marks, now devoid of color. Keres Celestia returns the colorless cutie marks to their respective owners*
*Keres Celestia now holds each of the Holders’ talents, shown as their respective colors: Twilight Sparkle’s magenta, Applejack’s orange, Pinkie Pie’s light-blue, Rarity’s purple, Rainbow Dash’s red and Fluttershy’s pink. Keres Celestia combines the talents into a dream catcher-designed portal*
*A blue-colored bulked steel limb appears out of the portal, followed by a steel leg and the whole figure to reveal a steel-material golem*
*The golem waves its hand at the Holders and a series of attacks befalls on them: Fluttershy is cut up by a dark chakram, Rarity is pierced with five arrows shot by a tainted bow, Rainbow Dash is stabbed with a pair of black, steel wings, Applejack is pummeled mercilessly by the golem’s other hand which is wielding a demonic bracer, Pinkie is sprayed and injured with smoke of negative emotions from the gem of an evil necklace and Twilight has a concentrated form of satanic magic explode around her*
Fatal Creation!”
*As the Holders lie on the ground weakened, the steel golem gradually cracks. At its final crack, it bursts, sending thousands of sharp metal pieces at the Holders*
*Keres Celestia closes the portal* (Stop Music)

“I should’ve mentioned earlier…” The Leader said as it looked down upon us. “It is death to try and take me on.”
“No…” I looked at my friends. All of them. Wounded and beaten beyond normal limits.
“You… won’t win!” Rainbow strained to say. She tried to get up, but exhaustion brought her down. None of us fared batter.
“How in the world does anybeing know that kind of magic?” Pinkie’s voice was weak with fatigue.
“We should’ve brought th’ Elements with us…” Applejack’s voice was barely a whisper.
The leader smiled sadistically upon us. “Die.” It lowered its horn at us and charged for a spell.
“No… I’m sorry everyone. We couldn’t save the world…” I said to myself, ready to accept Death’s embrace.
*WHACK* The leader stumbled backwards from being hit by something. After it fell backwards, I felt healing magic restoring my wounds.
“Are you really going to keep falling for that?” Cadance?
“You insolent foal!” The leader yelled. It lunged forward to strike Cadance, but a barrier surrounded her.
“Everypony!” I saw Shining Armor and Spike run through.
“Shining Armor and Spike! What are you two and Cadance doing here?” Fluttershy asked, her voice regaining strength from Cadance’s magic.
“We figured you could use some help.” Shining answered.
“A little harmonic help to be more precise.” Spike looked in good health and high spirits now as he held out a book.
The Elements of Harmony!
“No! Not those Elements!” The leader yelled. It broke free of Shining Armor's barrier and knocked Cadance out of their way with Celestia’s horn. “I’m not allowing any hope for you fools to be permitted!” From the leader’s right, a new figure appeared from a teleportation spell.
“What?! Nightmare Moon again?!” Spike yelled in horror. No… there she is again. But how- I thought-
“Ah, Nightmare Moon. How wonderful to see you. I thought for sure you had died at the hooves of these pests. Glad to know I was wrong.”
“How shall I proceed?” Nightmare moon asked
“Trap these fools in a barrier. One they can’t break free of.”
“Understood.” Her horn pointed towards us as it glowed its dark-blue. Her magic released.
…Right as she turned to the leader and trapped it in a dark-blue barrier!
“What?!” The leader struggled to break free, but the barrier was too well-structured.
“Hahaha. What a fool.” Why is Nightmare Moon against her master? Oh!
“Princess Luna?” Applejack asked. The alicorn reverted back to her well-liked form.
“Long story short, this was a part of a plan between my niece, your brother and Spike. But no time for how and when. Use the Elements of Harmony and defeat the leader and bring my sister back to normal!”
“We can’t! The leader took away our talents!” Rarity moved her flank to show a black-and-white version of her cutie mark.
“Just use the Elements!” Luna shouted.

As Luna, concentrated her magic to keep the leader in the barrier, my friends and I, now back at top health, placed the Elements on.
“Sure hope they work.” Applejack said with a little doubt.
“If they don’t, Cadance, Spike and I will back you up.” Shining said as he stepped forward.
“Let’s at least try.” I said. My friends took their places and so did I.
“No!” The leader’s strength started to break through the barrier. (Resume Music)

Holders of Harmony- Elements of Harmony
*Twilight uses her magic to envelop her and the other Holders in a light-pink light. The magic levitates them up into the air*
*The gems on the necklaces and crown glow brightly as each of them concentrates on the ancient magic*
*Their eyes glow silver as they burst a silver shield, producing a stream of rainbow that flies high and about to crash down on Keres Celestia*

“Effortless.” I heard the leader say. With a huge burst of strength, it broke free of Princess Luna’s barrier. With its magic, it put up a golden barrier around itself to protect itself from the magic of the Elements. Now, the rainbow was pointlessly crashing against the barrier.
“No!” I heard Fluttershy yell.
“How is it possible?!” Rainbow shouted
“Nopony can block against such magic!” Rarity added.
“Your efforts are pointless and underpowered.” The leader said. It was using Celestia’s magic to protect itself. With its own magic, it started to alter the rainbow to a negative energy of black and gray. The negative magic was heading towards us. “I wonder how the Elements would work if they were corrupted?”

“No. You won’t.” I heard Shining say.
“Shining Armor. Cadance. Spike. Together.” I heard Princess Luna say.
*Cadance raises her horn to the rainbow streams produced by the Elements of Harmony to give it a layer of protection, shattering the negative magic produced by the leader*
*As the rainbow with protection-layer rushes towards the leader, it stands the defend itself once again, before being paralyzed by Luna’s magic and trapped in a barrier conjured by Shining Armor, leaving a gap for the rainbow to strike the leader*
*Spike eats one of the white gems he apparently was holding. Unlike last time, he does not writhe in agony, but he transforms into his adult dragon form. Spike inhales deeply and releases a white fire, contradictory to his purple scales and green spines. The fire mixes with the rainbow from the Elements of Harmony and the protection layer*
The name for this ending blow? I think all of us can agree on: “Valiant Symphony!” All of us yelled.
*The stream strikes Keres Celestia. The leader of the Kerezers struggles to fight against it, but the combined forces of the 10 heroes are too much. After eight seconds and 52 hits, Keres Celestia falls down, exhausted and mortally wounded*
