Glorious Night

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, it was 7 in the morning. After I got up, I started to pack for the journey. I didn't know how long it would take so I brought 5 pairs of everything. As I went downstairs I heard a loud bang. I ran down the stair to see a pot on the floor and Luna trying to cook something.
"Uh, I guess cooking is more complicated here" Luna said.
"I guess so. How about I cook us breakfast" I said picking up the pot and started cooking some pancakes. Assuming that ponies eat hay here, I went outside to get a hay bale and got some hay out of the bale and put it on a plate and I brought it to Luna.
"How did you know I like hay fries?" Luna said amazed.
"Lucky guess?" I said, all I did was put some hay on .
"Well" Luna said, "what is it like living in uh uuuh" Luna didn't know this country's name.
"Texas?" I replied sitting down with the pancakes.
"Yes. What is it like living in the country of Texas?" Luna said and ate some hay.
"Well actually, Texas is a state but its pretty nice living here, especially in the rural parts of Texas, like where we are now. The wide fields, fresh air, the warm sun." I said.
"Well, that seems nice" Luna says finishing her hay.
"I suggest we better be going" I said.
"I suppose" Luna said. As we went out the door I grabbed my backpack.
"Why do you need that?" Luna asked pointing her purplish-blue hoof at my backpack.
"You'll see" I said as we head out to start our journey.
