Chapter 1: Feeling a Little Curious

Through the stars in the glowing night skies of Equestria a streak of light flashes across many ponies mistaking it for a shooting star, shutting their eyes, wishing, but this is no star, it is a special thing, a curious thing, sent from somewhere in the cosmos, but where ever it came from, this world was its home now.

It shot through the atmoshpere of the planet slowly ingniting in flames, the blaze glowed firey-yellow and roared as it soared through the air, slowly the blaze descended to the planet floor ever so slowly and impacted with incredible force tumbling plants and trees, leaving behind a trail of scorched earth.

-----KC, The Base of the Canterlot Mountain-----

A strange smell lingered in my nose, I opened my eyes to see unfamiliar flora surrounding me and noises from the area's fauna echoing from all around, it was truely magnificent and hypnotizing and wished many more could behold the beauty of my discovery.

Whislt I was caught up in the glorious views and analyzing the area I felt a slight gurgle in my lower body, looking down to inspect myself, I found that my body was that of a youngling equine and slightly... colorful, blue coat, yellow mane and tail, I could not figure if this was a natural occurance thus intreguing me, as for the gurgling I found it to be internal and had no idea what it meant but it wasn't pleasent.

I decided to explore the area in search of more items to study, as it turned out my efforts were a success! There was many varieties of biological items to see, unfortunately the gurgling prevented me from interacting with my finds as it caused great discomfort and scared off the creatures. The gurgling slowly grew lowder and more discomforting as I treked and my pace slowed, I required a cure for this phenomenon if i was to make good pace in my explorations. Fortunately I found a plant sample shortly after that smelt sweet and upon tasting and consuming a minor piece of the plant the discomfort eased ever so slightly, I proceeded to consume more of the plant and collected more as I traveled along.

Eventually I managed to subdue the gurgling discomfort in my lower body and quickened my movements while remaining quiet and vigilant for any more possible discoveries. Disappointing as it was I found no more new items to study as I reached a clearing in the trees and was immeaditly greeted with an almost equally impressive sight: an entire civilization ontop of a rising mountain with many facilities that fascinated me so in the complex designs and questionable positioning of a large structure on the near peak.

Starting at the base the mountain i was determined to make my way to the civilization and begin researching the behaviors of the rest of the species, possibly equestrian like I, so I began my long travel up the near vertical slopes of the mountain, proving to be a challenge with only hooves, but that was merely an obstacle standing between me and a civilization, possibly of my own kind... which I had much to learn about.

-----KC, Canterlot City-----

I admit the climb was difficult I triumphed and made my ways into the streets of the city. As I climbed my way over the side of the city walls many gazes directed at me and as it seemed my prediction was correct: the denizens of the city were in-fact equines as I! However, some appeared to have horns and others having wings, some bore neither but they were few in numbers. There gazes came with muffled speech, possibly intrigued by the sight of a youngling of their kind climbing the walls of the city covered in scratches, bruises, and dirt stains obtained from the trek up the side of the mountain.

It wasn't long that I had to observe their behviors before winged equines in shimmering outfits moved foward and encroched on me and proceeded to ask questions, some of which I would like to know.

"Hey little filly," the first shimmering equine asked folding up his wings "what's your name?" I stould silent for my understanding of there language was adiquate, but my verbal communications were primitave.

"Um, where'd you come from?" the second shimmering equine asked after his partner received no responce, I attempted to communicate with them sense they insisted on a responce, but rather patheticlly I was unable to make a full verbal sentence.

"I-I-I... c-ca... me... fro-" the equines seemed to speak in hushed tones as I attempted speech but I managed to listen to some of there conversation.

"I don't think she can speak" the second one said

"maybe we sould bring her to the Princess and have her decide on what we should do with her" the first suggested, they spoke more of which I couldn't understand and shortly after nodded their heads together and picked me up gently.

"Hey kiddo" the equine said hoisting me into a craddled grip of his foreleg "you're gonna get to meet the Princess."

the equine spread its wings that had been neatly folded at his side and launched from the floor soaring to the near-peak structure with his partner close behind.

-----KC, Canterlot Castle-----

They landed at the main entrance to the collosal structure, probably an important facility of which they contain this iconic "Princess". They hurried down winnding corridors making quick sharp turns in many directions with me tucked safely in the equines grip and finally stopped at an enormous wooden door with regal designs showing it to be an extremely important area, and it was confirmed from the staement of one of the other equine.

"This is it" the equine stated poudly "this is the Princess' chamber, treat her with respect for she is our leader: the leader of Equestria." I thought it to be a fitting name: Equestria, for we are equines, thus, equestrian. They heaved the doors open with a creaking moan and entered slowly introducing there arrival.

"Your highness!" the equine bowed respectfully "most humble apologies, but we found this filly climbing the walls of the city badly scratched and bruised and unable to speak." I longed to tell them I could speak... just not properlly.

"We request orders on what to do with this filly for we have never had a case of "orphaning" in meany years." the second stepped in.

The Princess looked down from a towering peack, seated on a cushioned seat and scrutinized me, she did so for a short while then began to weigh options in her mind, finally, she came to an conclusion and presented her idea.

"I shall contact my student and see if she or her friends can do anything." a quill and parchment floated out from nowhere and the quill moved on its own as it began to scribble note on it and then... puff, it disappeared like magic, I spent some time trying to figure out the recent happening when a rolled up parchment poofed infront of the Princess and it floated, surrounded by a glowing yellow aura with a similiar effect around her horn, the parchment then unrolled and the Princess began to scan the writing ontop, it intrigued me very much the glowing yellow aura and I wished to find the source of the phenomenon, but the parchment rolled up again and the Princess spoke.

"It appears that my student and her friends can take this filly, prepare a chariot and luggage for her and send her off to Ponyville town hall and deliver her to the pony 'Twilight Sparkle'." they carried me off down a hall to a large room with an opening at one side and had rows of intresting looking shimmering objects of trasportation with a wooden pronged circle on either side. I waited a while as the "ponies", we appear to be according to the Princess, loaded container items into the "chariot" and secured me in with a harness and buckle, two winged ponies hooked themselves up to the chariot and took a running start and took off through the sky and headed to a distant city which I belevied to be "Ponyville" where a "Twilight Sparkle" lives and with a name like that, it was bound to be an intresting experience.
