an adventure through realities
it was a regular old day on earth, the sun shining, birds singing and the flowers in full bloom. as the children played in the parks, their parents chatting on the benches about tv show and life. most people were relaxing and enjoying their weekend, except one, me. i was in a hurry to see a good friend of mine who told me to get to his place immediatly. he had said something about completing a watch of some sort, then he just hung up. the morning air was fairly warm but it wasn't exactly humid, but i was sweat like i had just run a ten mile marathon, but on a skateboard and headed uphill. i digress, his house wasn't exactly far awy from my parents house but it was enough to make one exhausted. when i got there i rang the doorbell. no answer. i rang again."zach, are you there?" i asked. there was a shuffling sound and the door opened a fraction and an eye filled a gap.
"who is it?" a voice said.
"it's me" i replied.
"ok i'll just open the door"
there was a rattle and a few thumps but the door eventually opened after about 30 seconds.
"come in, come in!" zach said in a hushed voice.
he lead me to his basement where all of his science experiments went on and the machinery that was built by his hands and designed by his ingenious brain. he was definitly the smartest guy i know and, most likely, the smartest person that i'll ever meet. my parents told me to stay away from him but, being a teenager, i wouldn't listen.
he was like a younger version of doc brown from that movie, back to the future, except he was about 23.
he was tall, skinny with short jet black hair. his eyes were like a clear summer sky, a brilliant blue. he was always distracted with his work to notice the look i give him when he rambled.
he lead me to a table where he showed me a strange looking watch. it was gold and had several buttons on the side with numbers on the sides. next to the watch were a few scattered tool and a piece of paper that had codes on.
"this watch is called a interuniversal physcal minipulator, it will take you to different universes and it can take you into the worlds of you're favourite tv shows, but being as busy as i am, i don't exactly have time to sit down and watch television" he explained.
"so, you're saying that we can go to different universes if we type in a code from that piece of paper?" i asked in confusian.
"how many have you made?"
"seven" he said proudly
"what?! i thought you said that you only just completed one of them?" i exclaimed
"no"
"why did you make seven?"
"because with seven you could take someone else with you, ie a companion. if one breaks then you could use one of the other ones!"
"can we go to equestria?"
"where?"
"have you ever seen that show my little pony friendship is magic?"
"no, but i have seen a lot of pictures of the ponies on the internet, but i detest them. if you wish to go there, then i will make a code for the watch to take you where ever you please. would you like to take a list to make it easier?"
"yeah, that would be a fantastic idea!"
i proceeded to write down a list of all of the places i wanted to go and in about half an hour we were finished.
"oh, um i almost forgot to tell you, you can change your base form." he said after i had strapped the watch on.
"what?"
"if you like the way you look in one dimension you can set that form as your original, so if you press a button then you can change back to that specific form at any time you wish."
"ok, i'll keep that in mind" i said as i put the extra watches into my bag and stuffed the code sheet into my pocket.
"thanks for the, iteruniversal whatsit watch" i said as i put in the code i wanted
and with the press of a button, i was gone in a flash.
