I am the power source of Equestria. I am the justice of Equestria. I am the god.
For years now, I have been the rightful ruler of Equestria. The corrupted princesses are locked behind bars just where they belong. The Mane Six are also behind bars. I hope they haven't done anything naughty. Equestria is in the right hands and WILL remain in the right hands.
Someone's knocking on the door. It must be my guards.
"Greetings, my lord."
"Greetings, Moondust." Moondust is my loyal advisor. He does not like my ways, but if he doesn't, who will he beg? Who will he banish?
"Sir, there has been a rebellious act. Ponies have been asking for the Mane Six." Moondust pointed to a window in the Canterlot Castle, gesturing to the shouting crowds. "These people are ignorant, lying brats. We shall lock them up as well!" I decide, and point to the guards at the door. "Take all of the rebels and lock them up in the Canterlot Dungeon. After that, report back to me for more results on the town."
The guards leave, and pleasantly, follow my instructions. Back to talking to Moondust.
"So where were we?" I say, and he coughs awkwardly just as he's about to speak nonsense. "My lord, your ways are surely too foolish! You must stop this treachery at once!" He speaks with such boldness. I think, and choose my words wisely.
"You are the one acting foolish." I say shortly, and push him to the guards. I snap my fingers and the guards push him towards the door. "You're making a big mistake!" He shouts as he's pulled into the doorway. Too late. Who will save him now? He is a disgrace to my presence. I dislike him and he will rot in prison like the Mane Six.
Someone's knocking on the door again. It should be my guards this time. I shout to open the door.
"Greetings, my lord." The guard says, just like poor Moondust. I smile and sit down at my chair, expecting a good turnout. "Well sir, the rebels were extremely rebellious but we managed to get them in the Canterlot Dungeon. The princesses are still unable to use their magic on Equestria and the Mane Six are all weak and powerless. And sir, just as you ordered, we have restored Discord. He is coming here right-"
"Greetings, Prince." Discord's voice sings in my head as he appears in front of me, sitting next to the guard. I look at him and shake my head.
"Hello Discord. Thank me for what you've done." I smirk and point to the darkness throughout the city. "Yes, of course I thank you for releasing me. I hear you need my help?" Discord asks very 'interestingly'. I nod and smirk again. "The reason behind it is I need your help to secure that this world will become secured with chaos and destruction. I know you can help me with it, correct?"
Discord nods, smiling back at me. "I suppose the Mane Six have been dealt with?" He asks, and I smile back at him. The smiling continues for a long time until he bursts out in evil laughter. I assume he is overwhelmed with desire and impression. I imitate Moondust's awkward cough and continue with our conversation. "Discord, as your duty under my orders, I would like you to control the time in Ponyville. Can you make 50% of the day into night?" I smile greedily. Discord nods and snaps his hands. The time turns into night. Perfect.
"My next order would be to..." I think for a moment, browsing through all the possibilities.
"Could you perhaps, make an eternal eclipse?" I ask now, thinking about all destruction and panic that will unfold onto the poor, poor world. Discord looks at me strangely for a moment and pops a question. "Why?" I smile evilly and answer his question with glee.
"Don't you see all the destruction and chaos that will happen? Are you not excited for anything? This is a very once-in-a-lifetime chance and you will have so much privileges to yourself, of course." I gesture to all of Ponyville, imagining the destruction and panic once again. Discord thinks for a moment. I stare at him while he thinks, trying to reach his thoughts. He finally speaks.
"I cannot even make an eternal eclipse myself, Prince. I am not that powerful enough, but I do have enough power to make an eclipse for 3 weeks in a month." I nod at him, and he begins the process. He looks at the shining moon and concentrates as he casts the spell. I nod eagerly with glee as he raises rocks and stone to block the moon fully.
"That's just about it." I grin and clap at his amazing performance. "Thank you, thank you!" Discord bows and wipes a bead of sweat from his head. "I'm guessing that's enough to satisfy you, right?" Discord says.
I nod silently and put a hoof to my lips as I listen to the ground. I hear a faint whispering, coming from the dungeon depths.
"Well...Discord...Eclipse?! No...impossible..why?" I hear a few words, and Discord looks at me curiously as if I'd gone insane. I point to the ground and mouth "Ponies!". He nods like he understands and we both put our heads to the floors to understand more.
"So you're saying Discord has put an eclipse onto the moon just as the king ordered?" Twilight's voice reminds me of friendship and warmth. I shiver, but continue listening.
"Yes, my student. Princess Luna says she can sense it." Princess Celestia is not that weak. I think, and growl in my head. Patience, Patience. It's all in the mind. Discord looks at me. I guess he can read my thoughts. Surprise, surprise.
"Well why in tarnation is everything all messed up now?" Applejack demands, and I cringe. These ponies are driving me crazy. I can't take it anymore. Discord, I demand you to teleport us right in front of them. Discord looks at me again and smirks. Snap! We're in the dungeon.
"You're right, everything is messed up." Discord admits, and teleports right next to Celestia. "I would let you go if I could, but I'm afraid this is the Prince's territory now." He smiles apologetically and teleports to Princess Luna this time. I smile as he continues to torment everyone in the room, teasing them with each word.
"Now if you excuse us, the prince and I need to go have some tea. Ta ta!" We both vanish and reappear in my office, my sitting in my seat and him looking at me mischievously. I burst out laughing and bury my face into my hooves.
"That is by far, the funniest and most professional taunting scheme ever created. You are a genius!" I compliment him, and continue laughing. Discord grins and snaps his fingers to see a book appear. 'Equestria's History' it reads. I open the book.
The Birth of Equestria - Chapter 1
I clear my throat as I begin the chapter.
"A long time ago, Equestria was a mere village, small but proud. These ponies are suspected to be the ancestors of Equestria. Everypony was working hard to survive, but soon, a drought came, instantly slowing down the process. Ponies were hungry, tired, and famished. Soon they forfeit and sheltered in homes until the drought slowed down."
"Measly little ponies." Discord retorts, and yawns.
"The drought lasted on for ages, but finally, it ended. Only a few ponies remained, but still, happy as ever to be alive. They started building an even greater community, which first started as Canterlot. They began moving to other cities and soon, Princesses were elected, battles unfolded, and the history of Equestria remained silent, until now."
"Until now?" I ask particularly no one, and read on.
"For years now, nopony has heard the true story. Rumors run around, tales and chapters are whispered around, but nopony knows the truth. The ruler before Princess Celestia would be me, her long-lost brother. I am much like her, as a twin, you could say. My name? I am Solaris, the holder of the sun. The PROPER holder, that is."
"What?" Discord says, and sighs. "Whatever, go on." He snaps his fingers and puts on his glasses. I look at him and read the next paragraph.
"If you are reading this book, find my sister and bring her to the highest mountain in Canterlot. I will be waiting there."
I smile at the same time as Discord does. We know what we're going to do, already.
We make such a good team.
I arrive at the highest mountain, Mount. Celestia. Figures. I look around until I spot a grand-looking pony, sitting down on a rock, gazing down at the horrible city.
"How could you do this?"
A slight smile plays on my lips, and I decide what I should respond. "Well, of course, Celestia ordered me to do so." I say with a melancholy tone, and frown at him like he's wrong. Solaris looks at me, trying to decode my face. I look at him back innocently, staring into his eyes.
"Why?" His questioning is just what I want. I clear my throat just as I began that chapter and start to invent a story.
"Princess Celestia has turned bad, I'm afraid. She destroyed Equestria to her greater will and hired me to work for her as her new loyal advisor. Of course we cannot prevent this mess, my dear Solaris. But I can, in exchange, bring you to her if you can stop her foolish ways, that is." I love explaining things. I'm so trustworthy as a god and everyone can count on me.
"But...well...may I tell you a story first?" A frown plays on my lips this time, but I prevent it from showing. I nod and wait for the story.
"My sister and I were very close...how could she have become so corrupted? We were too close and inseparable even though we spent a large amount of time without each other. Unless... my sister is controlled by..it."
I look at him interestingly. "It?"
"It...an all-powerful amulet that my sister had worn when she...when she.." I decide I should trust this man, and lean in forward to hear the story. "What happened?"
"She is no royal blood. She is not the true ruler of Equestria. She wore an amulet that granted her princess powers. It is called the Alicorn Amulet. A while ago, a pony named Trixie used it, causing herself to become corrupted and strict. My sister can control the amulet very well, and has learned to hide it so she can have unlimited power. The truth is...we are both normal ponyfolk, like the rest of Equestria."
I gasp. Really? Is this the truth?
Solaris looks at me now, and nods as if he too can read my mind. Perfect.
"Solaris, I will now lead you to Princess Celestia's castle. I promise to show you the right way." I slyly lead him down the mountain and stop. "Hold on tight!" I say, and we teleport to the castle right away. He is in locks and chains, and I am now sitting in a little chair next to him.
"B-b-b-ut...what?!" He's in a rough state, I can see now. The chain around his body tightens with every step he takes towards me. He uses his magic, but it is powerless against mine. He stops taking steps and looks at me angrily.
"I thought you promised." He says, and I laugh evilly. "You think I would really promised the brother of Princess Celestia?" I smirk and snap my fingers, imitating Discord. Discord appears and sits on top of Solaris. "Hello my dear friend." He exclaims in surprise, and smiles smugly. "Looks like someone's got himself in a hoof." I remark, and Discord laughs.
"Excellent joke, my Prince." Solaris squints his eyes, trying to figure out who I am. "You're the prince...aren't you." He asks, and shakes his head angrily. 'Why didn't I see this before..." Discord sighs and ignores him.
"The point is, we're going to destroy Equestria. Let us go tell Celestia of her news." I suggest, and we leave Solaris boiling with fury.
"Hello, Celestia." I sneer at her as we enter the chamber. 'Princess' Celestia looks at me oddly, like she doesn't know what I'm talking about. "We know your secret." Discord says.
"What secret?" Rainbow Dash asks curiously, and the Mane Six all look at Celestia suspiciously. "I don't know what you are talking about." Celestia retorts. "You know what I'm talking 'bout. The Alicorn Amulet. You have it, and you're wielding it right now!" I snap, and Discord takes off Celestia's golden necklace to reveal the Alicorn Amulet, sitting there. The Mane Six gasp in horror as Celestia's cheeks turn red with guilt.
"What's your real name?" I smirk, and I know I've got her caught now. The Mane Six sit up. Celestia looks at me angrily, but she can't do anything, because her powers have been taken away. She is about to speak.
