"Come, love," she said, opening the door. "It's time to go for brunch."
Cadence nosed her husband out of bed. He got up reluctantly, just like a foal. The determination and drive seemed somewhat absent. Not that she minded, he wasn't really made for anything other than looking pretty. It was now time for the real test.
"Feather Duster?" Cadence called, opening the door to their suite. "Can you come and give the bedroom a bit of a spruce-up?"
"M-my lady?" the startled pegasus replied. She'd been hovering outside the bedroom for the past three days, desperately wanting to go in but not daring to push her luck.
"Yes, dear, just a spruce up. Don't mind my husband, I'll go ahead a little ways."
Cadence trotted down the hallway, and waited. Surreptitiously looking over her shoulder, she spied the little minx flagging her overly-primped tail at Shining. He nodded to her with a stupid grin on his face... and trotted right past to catch up with his wife.
"Hmm, it's true," Cadence said to herself as her husband trotted behind her like a little lost foal, "geldings really are easier to handle."
