A half hour later, we came upon a row of town houses in a kind of crummy area of town.

“Looks like shit.” Shade replied

She pointed a hoof toward one of the houses in line. “I live in number thirteen”

I glance around at the rusty carriages lining the street, the group of shady looking colts hanging around the convenient store on the corner.

“Are your parents at work?” I ask.

I caught the magazine, and stare at the glossy front cover.
