But Wait There's More

It had been a few hours since I had set out to the mysterious building, and already it was starting to get dark. In this time I had walked over the next hill and entered a rather dark and foreboding forest. However now was probably as good time as any to start looking for somewhere to rest for the night. I started wandering around looking for somewhere I could rest when finally I cam across a nice looking cave... well nice as far as caves go. It was dry at least. As I settled down into the cave the sun started to set. I crawled up lacking anything to keep me warm. I closed my eyes and slowly started to fall asleep.

=================================================================================================

I dreamt of light. Lots of light. Then suddenly I was in a light blue oblong room. In one corner sat a desk with a long bed next to it. On the bed covers the words keep calm and sleep on were printed. Two large bookcases were against the wall both full of a large collection of books all of different shapes and sizes. Light streamed in through a window which I walked up to. I looked outside at the street below. Opposite me was another house and a large street lamp. The road below me was empty. In the distance I could hear a low roar. I could also hear another noise. A low whirr. Then the source of the sound appeared and  a large, red thing moved along the black road below me.

===============================================================================================

I jerked awake to the sound of something rustling in the undergrowth. Ignoring the sound I tried to remember my dream. Where was that place? and what was that thing moving along the road? Once again hearing the sound of rustling I stopped thinking about my dream and concentrated on what was happening.

I slowly got to my hooves to look out of my cave. Looking around I saw nothing. Then it hit me. A horrible smell hit my nostrils as I gagged, what the heck was that. I heard a low growl behind me. I slowly turned round hardly daring to breath.

As I looked at the source of the growling I was confused. As I looked at the large pile of twigs before me I wanted to laugh. They looked like a poorly made sculpture of a wolf. The growling ruined the cute thought. The glowing green orbs that I guessed where it's eyes flashed intimidatingly, I turned away from it looking into the dark woods. Aw hell I thought briefly before dashing off into the undergrowth.

As I dashed through the undergrowth I looked around for something to disable the creature with. There were plenty of rocks on the ground but I had doubts that I would do much if I threw them at it. I carried on running still looking for something to attack the stick-wolf with before finally spotting a tree with a low hanging sturdy looking branch. I looked behind me and saw that I could either hit the wolf with the branch or climb the tree and wait for it to get bored. I chose the latter and leapt onto the branch before scrambling up the tree.

When I was about half way up I looked back down below me. The wolf pawed at the tree in frustration and watched me, growling at the same time. I watched it until eventually it realised I wasn't coming down and walked away in boredom. I breathed a sigh of relief and carried on up to the top of the tree.

Eventually I reached a point where I couldn't go up any more. My body was covered in scratches from the branches and my limbs were aching from the exertion, but it was worth it. The view was amazing. I could see a lot more now than when I was on the hill earlier. Again just below the horizon I could see the sea, but I could also see the extent of the forest and now clearly see the river. The forest went on for a good 5 or 6 miles from here but the river looked beautiful in the slowly rising sun.

As I continued to look at the landscape I relaxed as the wind tousled my mane and tickled my fur. I stood there relaxing for a moment before looking to see where I was headed next. I looked around for the building I was heading for and as I did I noticed something curling up into the air. A wisp of smoke. That meant there must be others here! Maybe we could be friends! Maybe- I stopped myself. When I finally saw the building I was heading for I noticed that the smoke was on route anyway so I might as well check it out on my way there. With that I took note on what way I was headed and climbed back down the tree.

When I finally got to the bottom of the trees I started heading off in the direction of the smoke and the building beyond. As I walked I missed the feel of the wind against my body, I felt so blissful when I was at the top of that tree. I was able to recap what had exactly happened. I had met a white horse with a horn on its head and wings, experienced a lot of white light and then appeared on this island. I seemed to be missing some important detail.

I carried on walking for a good couple of hours in the same direction, dodging trees as I went and going over everything I could remember trying to work out why I was here. It was right there in front of me! I sighed in exasperation before burning my hoof on a fire. I yelped a jumped up into the air.

"Ow ow ow ow owwwww!" I cried in agony. Suddenly I heard the sound of hooves on the ground rapidly approaching me. I turned to face the sound and suddenly got a face full of a white pony thing like me. This one was obviously female from the looks of her face. I looked behind her. She was flanked by two other ponies. One was also obviously male like me and the other I couldn't quite place.

The pony on top of me had me pinned to the ground. I watched her. She didn't seem threatening. I squirmed under her hooves trying to escape. She pushed down harder.

"Ah ah ah, no you don't. You're not leaving here until you answer a few questions". I sighed. This was going to be interesting.
