I wonder if they are hostile to outsiders? she thought to herself. Ducking under some bushes, she noticed six female horses standing by the edge of the woods. The closest one to her was a violet unicorn with a purple and pink mane and tail, reading a book. Next to her was a normal horse with orange fur and yellow mane and tail. Beside that one was a white unicorn with a purple mane and tail who was fixing her solid violet mane. Another normal horse was next to her; this one had a hot pink mane and tail, and slightly duller pink body fur. Above those four Wolfheart saw a winged horse; a pegasus with blue fur and rainbow mane and tail. Next to the blue pegasus she saw another winged horse, this one pale yellow with a pale pink mane and tail. The six ponies were apparently having a good time; Wolfheart could tell they were friends. Though she was tempted to eavesdrop, she decided against it. She would speak to the new ponies face to face. Trotting toward them with her head partly down so they could tell she was not a threat, she soon stood before the six. They immediately approached her, talking in excited voices. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!" said the pink horse. "You're new here! So you're invited to my party!" Pinkie pie started bouncing around like she was insane, and Wolfheart took a few steps back, confused by this pony's enthusiasm and boldness. The next to approach was the orange-furred pony. "Ah'm Applejack," she said, "What's your name?" Though confused by the pony's accent, Wolfheart started to reply, but was interrupted by the white unicorn. " My name is Rarity.May I ask what happened to your mane? And why is your fur all torn up? I know a good stylist..." Wolfheart backed a bit further in the woods. She was nervous now; these ponies were too friendly and she was not used to that. The blue pegasus dove down, landing in front of Wolfheart. " My name is Rainbow Dash. I have a couple questions too. Are you a pegasus? How come you have eagle claws?" The next horse to step forward was the purple unicorn, who finally stopped looking at her book. "Good afternoon. My name is Twilight Sparkle. Who are you?" Before Wolfheart could reply, all the ponies started talking at once, all excited, and she wanted to flee; their eagerness frightened her. Suddenly the last pony, the yellow pegasus, spoke. "Stop it, all of you! Can't you tell you are scaring her?" "Oh come on, Fluttershy," said Pinkie Pie, " She won't be scared when she sees my parties!" This was too much for Wolfheart. She turned tail and bolted, though behind her she heard the yellow pegasus, apparently named Fluttershy, lecturing the other five. "Now you've done it! You scared her away!" Wolfheart did not stop to look back; she kept running until she was deep in the forest, in a small clearing, where she stopped to rest. I hope those aren't the Six in the prophecy- they scare me! I hope the Teller of Tales comes. She can explain... She curled up in the middle of the Clearing with her tail around her body, trying to hide herself in the shadows. The Wanderer's Dream- chapter 1The Wanderer's Dream- chapter 1 Wolfheart stretched her eagle-like foretalons. She loved this cave in the Wildlands beyond the Everfree; it was her den, her safe place. On the walls hung trophies from her various battles, including her prize possession; the Wolf-Stone. This rock was pale as the moon, and if she looked into it, she could see what was to come. But recently she had grown tired of her cave's safety. She felt wanderlust in her blood awakening, and was curious about the lands to the east. There, she had seen many equine creatures that were as brightly colored as birds. And she wanted to know more. Packing her few possessions in a saddlebag, she headed to the eastern town of colorful horses. The journey would take a week; although the trail itself was short, it was treacherous. Although she could trust the wolves, there were other, larger predators out here. And she had no wish to be eaten! Besides, she liked to stop and enjoy the scenery. The first day past without incident, so she curled up in a hollow tree to sleep, the Wolf-Stone by her head. Unlike most of her nights, tonight her dreams were all nightmares. She found herself on a ledge, looking into a valley of fire. The flames below her leapt up in the form of claws, trying to bring her to the heart of the inferno. In the center of the valley was a scorched-earth clearing, with 2 hurroks and 2 wolves in the ash. And above it all was a silhouette of a dragon-like form. Wolfheart knew what this meant, and she flew high over the flames, intent on rescuing the Four below her. The evil dragon-creature raised his clawed right forepaw with a snarling taunt: "I know you plan to save them, Little Fool. But how can you, when you cannot even save yourself?!" Making a gesture, the clawed demonic creature caused her wings to catch on fire and opened a bottomless pit below her. Just as she was about to fall and be turned to ash, she awakened. A voice spoke in her head. "You are related to the Four," it murmured, "And you know what you must do. Seek the relatives of the Six who rebelled so long ago in the town of the bird-bright horses, for the Prophecy will soon awaken." At this message the young hurrok started galloping. If the Teller's words were true, she thought, there is not much time until the Curse is reborn! Moving swiftly through the darkness, she found herself standing on a ridge at sunrise, seeing the colorful ponies below her. Spreading great black feathered wings, she flew on toward the sunrise. The Teller of Tales-Chapter 3After a while of hiding, Wolfheart sensed a presence nearby, and opened her golden eyes to see a great white wolf with odd-colored eyes, one blue and one amber, standing over her. "The Tale-Teller!" cried the dark horse. "What brings you here from the Blue Lake Pack?" "Simple," said the white wolf, "I heard you call. I see you met the bird-colored ponies, yes?" "I-I have... they scared me so! Wh-why are they so crazy? One kept bouncing; she would not keep still! Another dived at me! Why? What are they? Why do they act like this? And are they the Six in the Prophecy?" "I can reassure you they are not the ones in the Prophecy, In the Prophecy's tale, the Six are foals, 3 males and 3 females, and one of each gender for each race of horses. Or in this case, brightly colored ponies..." "Oh. I understand now. But how will I find the Six?" "They will find you. But not until a danger is awakened." "A danger?! What danger?" "Well, more an annoyance, actually..." "An annoyance? Then how will I know what it is?" "This creature bears the Dragon-Curse that the Dragon-Lord put upon the Dark One's slaves. So it should not be hard to spot. And besides," (Here the wolf smiled.) , "This annoyance will talk so much you want to put a muzzle on him to shut him up!" "Okay, i should know then! But how do you know this creature?" "I met him once long ago. He wound up with a rope holding his mouth shut. Need i say more?" "Ha ha! I understand now, Tale-Teller! But how will the said annoyance be awakened?" "Therein lies the problem. You will have to go back to that town of the bird-colored ponies, and start a fight near a certain statue... You will know it when you see it." "That will be easy!" "Not really, Wolfheart. The ponies in that town refuse to fight, even if challenged. You will have to strike first." "I understand, and i obey. Thank you, Teller." The wolf touched the young hurrok's forehead with her muzzle. "Go now, Wolfheart. You know what you have to do." Then the Teller vanished in a puff of smoke. Wolfheart watched the wolf vanish and then she went back toward the east, nerves steeled to handle the strange ponies.
