Chapters The Denied Letters
My name is Sweetie Belle; I am the sister of a very famous designer in Canterlot, Rarity, and I am also a famous hot-shot pony of pop! I achieved this level by hard work and by help from my friends, who always cheered me up when I felt down. Unfortunately, Apple Bloom, my very good friend, died. I sang a song to her in the hospital, and it was great to see her smile… one last time. My other friend, my first friend, Scootaloo was sent to flight school and I’m sure she finished it already. I would like to pay her a visit sometime, but the last time I saw her she was going bat-shit crazy about a nightmare she had... about the Rainbow Factory. I wish it was different… I don’t think Scootaloo even remembers me now… but I would like to see her again.
I woke up in my light-pink and purple bed and looked around my peach-colored room. It was already morning, from the look of my white opened windows. I got off my bed and headed to the bathroom. I looked at the mirror and squeaked as I saw how terrifying my mane was. I levitated a brush with my unicorn horn and started gently brushing my hair. I was singing the tune of my favorite song called ‘Equestria Girls ’ that I heard at the disco I’d attended last night… or was it Thursday? I don’t even remember! I went downstairs and waited for my maid to arrive and make me some breakfast; I was never the best cooker and I realized that only when I tried making breakfast for MYSELF for the first time. I yawned and looked at the time; my maid should arrive anytime soon. I looked at the clock again and decided to check my mail. I yawned again and walked out of the door. I saw lots of fans screaming outside of my gates. I smiled and went to the mail box. As I approached, the mail mare arrived.
“Hi, Derpy!” I greeted my mail mare. She smiled at me with her weird mouth and looked at me with her crossed eyes.
“Hey Sweetie Belle! There is male from a brainwashed mare!” She opened my mail box and put a few letters in. She smiled “See you later!” She said, flapped her Pegasus wings and flew away. I shook my head and smiled as the Pegasus pony crashed into the door of another house.
“That mare Derpy has some imagination!” I sighed. I opened the mail box and thousands of letters in it, most of them was fan mail, but I have noticed two letters that said ‘Denied’ I thought for a moment; Why would they send me denied letters? It was just pure nonsense! So I took them inside and I have decided to read them out of my own curiosity. As I read through the first Letter, I was shocked; It was from my friend Scootaloo! I was so happy at first… but then I was shocked.
Dear Sweetie Belle,
Hi, it’s me, Scootaloo. You might have forgotten me, Sweetie Belle, but I’m your friend… and Apple Bloom’s. I know that you are in Canterlot, a famous singing pop star, and you don’t have time for me. But I’m writing this to you because you are my only friend to write to. My coltfriend, Orion, has died a few days ago and my other friend, Aurora, wants to have nothing to do with me. Sweetie Belle, please read on, I have something important to tell you… I have had these nightmares lately… I remember I told you about them when we were the CMC’s together? Well, they never ended... until yesterday. I am not allowed to tell anypony about the Rainbow Factory, but my nightmares were true. I’m now a worker in the Rainbow Factory… if you could ever forgive me! I-I don’t even know what to say, I had no choice Sweetie Belle, please… I can explain… it all happened when I was taken to the Rainbow Factory, when Rainbow Dash killed Orion before my very own eyes! I had no other choice but to join. Now, I need a friend, to hug, to cry out my feelings to. I have no other Ponies to love us much as I did you anymore… not even Rainbow Dash. I’m sorry If I wasted your time and you don’t know me anymore… but I wish to hear a reply from you.

I nearly cried. I didn’t expect it to come up like this and by the date, I was supposed to receive it a long time ago. I didn’t even notice how my maid already arrived and how she was apologizing for being late and she got straight back to work. She made me scrambled eggs and toast, like my sister used to make. I started reading the second letter and it terrified me more than the first one. She wrote and described in detail about every single thing Rainbow Dash told her about the Rainbow Factory. That’s when I started to sob. I felt pity for Scootaloo, not only because she had to work in such a horrible place, but because the letter was denied it must mean anything. The Pegasus ponies must have read her letters before sending them that meant Scootaloo was in trouble and that meant that they might of killed her cause they are very strict and that also meant that Derpy ignored the command ‘Denied’ and went on sending it, and that meant it was me who was supposed to get to the bottom of this and bust those Pegasus’s on their job! But how? I thought for a moment. If Scootaloo is still alive, I must find her and with her help we will stop this horrible punishment!
In the train station, lots of fans came to me and asked me for my autograph. I tried to finish with it as fast as I could to make sure that I wasn’t late. As I got the tickets for the train to Ponyville I took a deep breath and waited for the train to arrive. I just hoped that Scootaloo was still alive. She'll be very happy when she sees me! That at least made me happy. When the train has arrived, I took a deep breath and stepped into the train.
“Ponyville, I will be ready for you!” I gulped and sat at my seat. I ignored the screaming fans and the paparazzi and flowed into my own worries. “I hope she is okay...” I whispered to myself. I started crying thinking of what horrible punishment they have prepared for her and I really hoped I wasn’t late.
Hey, the name’s Scootaloo. I am a Rainbow Factory worker and I’m learning to become a professional, right now I’m just a student. My life sucked until I got here, but at least I had good grades at school and I’ve always been the greatest filly in Cloudstale’s flight School. Now I’m a grown up mare and live my life until I can’t enjoy it anymore. I never got to enjoy my life as a filly, but I still have a chance to preform my actions now.
“Scootaloo?” I heard a voice. I woke up slowly not showing it. I had a terrible head ache and I felt weird for some reason and I knew why; my life was always miserable, I had no friends, no family and I always reflected my misery on those who I really did not care about and pain was my only friend. “Scootaloo! Wake up! We’ve got a lesson to get to!” I turned to look at what pony was talking, in front of me stood a pony. I looked at the pony and it took me a few seconds to realize who the pony was. It was my mentor, Rainbow Dash. She was the most trusted pony and she was the greatest in the factory, I was always her fan. I smiled uneasily at her due to the pain in my head that was rumbling louder than a cow stampede. I got off my bed and looked at Rainbow Dash; pride shimmered in her eyes. I looked down and looked at the wounds on my body that came from the higher part of my chest to the lower part of my body. I seemed to forget what happened to them for some reason, but it did look kind of cool on my body. Rainbow Dash flew out of the window and signaled me to follow her. We flew a long way to the factory and the pain in my head and body made me slow down. Rainbow Dash stopped and raised her eyebrow at me. I flew to her and she started flying slowly. “What’s wrong squirt?” She asked me rather rudely. I never heard her saying this to me; in fact I never really remember speaking to her properly.
“I-I just have a head ache…” I whispered weakly. "It kinda hurts..." I sounded weak and it made me feel weak.
“Well, I know what will cheer you up! Today I will teach you how to kill our victim with a LIVE victim” She said looking up at the sky. I squealed in delight and smiled happily, it was going to be SO AWSOME! She looked at me as if she expected a different reaction. What was wrong with her? Was I acting weird? Did my breath smell? “Uh… Squirt? What’s wrong with you? You seem to be acting strange lately!” She asked looking at me with a strange look. I shrugged and we flew on.
“Oh! Just great, Dasher!” She said looking at him with a smile.” I looked at them both signaling that I was board. “I have finished the task you have assigned me to do!” She said happily. I looked puzzled. What assignment?
“You always seem to amaze me Rainbow!” He mused. “I guess, it’s time I promote you! You are now my deputy!” He announced. He put a badge on her uniform which said ‘Deputy’ Rainbow happily bounced up and looked at Black Dasher.
“Aw yeah!” She said feeling cool. He looked at her in a flirty manner and it didn’t take me long to find out what he was up to.
“Rainbow Dash… I think we should go to… our victim?” I said whispering not trying to offend the boss. Rainbow Dash looked at me and nodded.
“We should go” She said calmly looking at him. He let us go and right when we were about to leave he stopped us again.
“Wait!” He shouted. We looked back at him, I was annoyed but I still paid some respect and listened. “Scootaloo, after you two finish, Spike will be waiting for you. He is now your apprentice assistant.” He said quickly and I nodded. Rainbow Dash led me with her wing and smiled. We went through the long corridors of death and misery. I was quite excited really. ‘My first victim!’ I thought to myself and smiled in full joy and happiness.
“Information about Candy Swirl please!” I asked her. She took out a clipboard with a picture of Candy Swirl and lots of information that I didn’t care to read. I ran back to the room and gave the clipboard to Rainbow Dash. Dash quickly looked through the information and gave the clipboard back to me.
“Put this on the desk” she said and pointed to the right-corner. I ran to the Desk and put the clipboard on the desk. As I did so, I saw two other clipboards; one said ‘Orion’ and the other, ‘Scootlaoo’ I looked at the photo of the child which was me. I nearly cried, I looked at Rainbow Dash.
“What is this?” I asked her. She looked me.
“Oh, that… I forgot to put away, can you do it for me?” she said as if she didn’t care about me. I looked down and thought ‘maybe it’s just a mistake…’ Rainbow Dash called me to get ready for my first torcher and the excitement overflowed my sadness.
We turned the lights off to make it dark. The Guards took Candy Swirl inside the room. The confused filly stood in the middle of the dark room. She looked around and shivered in fright. “I’m sorry!” She shouted “I didn’t want to fail!” She shouted and started to cry.
“Disgraceful! Shame! Shame!” Rainbow Dash shouted looking at the filly “You must pay! You must be punished!” The filly started to cry more. Rainbow Dash whipped the filly from the darkness “Stop crying!” This sentence reminded me… sort of like I‘ve been through this before. I shook my head and tried to focus. Rainbow Dash chained the helpless Filly to the wall and revealed the room with a spark of light. She saw me standing next to Rainbow Dash. Her green eyes beamed with fear, her lips were wide open. The pink colored mane was slowly coming from puffy to straight and her yellow coat was shivering with fear. That reminded me that it was Pinkie Pie’s daughter. Pinkie Pie was Rainbow Dash’s friend before. I looked at how the filly saw me; a killer, a monster, a terminator. That made me sad but I knew that I wasn’t working here for mercy. I put on my angry face and looked at her. She sniffed her little nose and let out another tear.
“S-Scootaloo?” The filly asked worriedly.
“How do you know my name?!” I demanded. I never accually saw this filly before, I just heard of her.
“W-we played together in Flight s-school…” She said “I-I was a grade smaller… remember?” She asked. I didn't understand, I never saw her... ever. We never played together, I was always alone in school. I felt embaressed as Rainbow Dash looked at me.
“What’s up with your memory?” Rainbow Dash asked whispering. I just shook my head and concentrated on killing her. The humiliation I just experienced made me rage! I took the knife and ran right at her. I smiled crazily at her and stabbed her into the heart. She squeaked one last time and died. I laughed crazily but Rainbow Dash was disappointed. I looked at her. She shook her head “You are supposed to make the filly SUFFER!” she looked at me annoyed “But it was still a good one! You just need more practice.” She tried to cheer me up. I nodded and then she showed me where and how I shout put her organs. I looked as Rainbow Dash cut through the Cutie Mark, I saw how she cut through the eyes. I had a feeling… that I’ve seen it all before but I knew it was all just my bad head ache. Rainbow Dash promised she would teach me how to make a pony suffer and she said that I would be better at times.
I went out of the torcher room and saw Spike. He greeted me and I went after him; I know he was Twilight Sparkle’s (Rainbow’s friends) number one assistant and he was ready to get the job of MY assistant! I came and gave him the first order; relax until tomorrow.
I flew home with Rainbow Dash and she went to bed first thing. I decided to check my mail and I saw only one. I looked at it and opened it, it was short but weird;
I’m coming!
I looked at the letter once again. What the buck was that? I threw it away thinking it was just a spam/joke letter, but the name sounded familiar. Sweetie Belle… I thought for a moment and decided to get some sleep; that head ache was really getting through my brain! I said goodnight to Rainbow Dash, Flew to my bed and fell asleep.
Sweetie Belle sat in the train for five long hours. “This is taking awfully long” She whined to herself. She got herself some ‘train curtains’ so she could get her privacy and keep away from the fans and the paparazzi. The screaming made her exhausted. She was tiered and she needed some sleep but the shouts and fan squeals didn’t let her to doze off into her dreams. Not only that but also her worries about Scootaloo made her eyes stay wide open. “What is wrong with me?” She asked herself “This is stupid! Why am I even bothering? I’m a Star! Why do I care?” She started telling herself over and over but her heart whined to provide interest in help. “Why do I need to put myself into this? It’s just ruining me! Extra worries are no good. I have a bunch of stuff that I need to complete by the end of this month and THIS just doesn’t fit into my schedule!” She sighed as she knew that what she was saying was not true. She wanted to help Scootaloo, but she didn’t even know how to do it. Scootaloo lives in the clouds and that will be less likely she will be let to come down. After thinking for a few moments, she decided she would pay some pony a visit. Apple jack died with Apple bloom, Rainbow Dash was the Rainbow Factory worker, and Fluttershy was in Canterlot with Twilight; they were doing a research on rare Sympha Bunnies. Pinkie Pie was the only one she could stay with.
Sweetie Belle finally fell asleep, but it was not long after the train arrived in Ponyville. Sweetie levitated her Saddle bags with her stuff on her back. She waited as the queue of ponies went out of the train so that she can come out in peace. As she went out of the train she saw lots of fans asking her for autographs. Sweetie Belle ignored them and just went to her destination. She was never like this, she always paid enough attention to her fans, but her worries made her go on without stopping. She had questions in her head like what will Pinkie think of her? What will she say? What will she do? Sweetie Belle tried to think of words to say to Pinkie, but she was sure she will find an explanation to her visit to sugar cube corner. Sweetie Belle reached the door and knocked on it. She waited for some time and then she heard footsteps approaching the door. Pinkie Pie opened the door but not in her usual form; her hair was straight and she sobbed and cried a little bit. Sweetie belle looked at her in confusion. “Oh, hi Sweetie Belle” Pinkie said smiling weakly trying to be happy. Sweetie Belle came in the house and looked at Pinkie.
“What’s the matter?” Sweetie Belle asked her looking in concern. Pinkie Pie whipped her tear out of her sad pink face. She looked at Sweetie Belle, smiled, but then fell on her knees in front of Sweetie Belle and started crying hysterically with a high pitched voice.
“It was horrible! My daughter, Candy Swirl has disappeared a few days ago, not even Celestia can find her!” She cried “She failed her Flight School test… and… and…” She didn’t say the last words because her crying has beaten it all. Sweetie Belle was shocked; she knew exactly what happened but how to tell Pinkie Pie? She never saw Pinkie Pie so sad. She was not being Pinkie Pie as she used to before. Sweetie gave Pinkie a hug and patted her on the back. Pinkie Stood up and smiled at Sweetie Belle. Sweetie looked at the pink pony and sighed.
“I know what happened….” Sweetie said looking at Pinkie’s curiosity and biting her lip. She took a deep breath. “Rainbow Dash… killed her” She said closing her eyes. Pinkie was confused; Dash was her best friend, why would she do such a terrible thing? Pinkie Pie stared at Sweetie Belle for a long time in shock. Pinkie Pie looked down at once and started tearing up again. Sweetie Belle tried to comfort the sad earth pony, but it seemed hopeless.
“W-Why would Dashie do that?” She asked sobbing . Sweetie Belle thought of what she was going to say for a moment.
“Um… well… she…” Sweetie Belle started. “You know, Scootaloo sent me mail about information on the Rainbow Factory… and they sort of kill Pegasus’s when they don’t pass their final exam and make them into rainbows. That’s why I came here, to help finish this nightmare.” Sweetie Belle looked at Pinkie uneasily and saw how the Pony’s mouth was wide open and how her eyes stretched in fear as if it reminded her of something. Pinkie Pie started feeling numb in her heart.
"She...she...she..." Pinkie Pie looked down and hit the floor with her hoof. Her sad pink face would make anyone come up to her and give her a hug. Everypony who were dearest to Pinkie, died. Her whole family died in the rock farm when their house got burnt down, Pinkie Pie was the only one saved, and that is when she went to find a new home in Ponyville. Mr and Mrs cake went on an expedition to the biggest mountain in Equestria with the baby cakes as a family picnic. Her husband died from an unknown illness. And now... her own daughter died. How was she going t cope with the death of her close ones? Her heart was brocken and she didn't feel like being happy anymore. All she needed was somepony to care about her, somepony to hug and sompony to cry out her feelings to. She put her hooves on her chest and sat on her rump. "Dashie... why?" she whispered to herself. She felt like dying to see her family again. "I... I want to die... to be with them" She sobbed. "All of them" she cried. Sweetie Belle's heart sank. She hugged the pink pony and started to cry.
"Please don't die Pinkie! You still have your friends, remember? Rarity...Fluttershy...Twilight... and me? I don't have anyone Pinkie... I want you to live and they want you to live! you are still needed her. I don't want to loose you, you are my only friend" Sweetie Belle started to cry "If you want I can stay with you for a while" She sobbed smiling weakly "That's what I'm here for." Pinkie looked at Sweetie Belle for a long time and then she smiled and got her cotton-candy hair back on. She stood on her hooves and jumped on Sweetie Belle giving her a big hug. She nodded. they smiled at each other and before their eyes, from the window they saw a big rainbow rising from the skies. "She must be happy in that wrold now..." Sweetie said looking at Pinkie and seeing a big smile on the pink pony's face.
The Lost Memories
It was a sunny morning, Scootaloo woke up and decided to go get Dash. Even though they were on a three day-break, she was board. As Scootaloo went to Dash’s room she saw Rainbow Dash still sleeping. She didn’t want to wake up her mentor so she decided to pay Sugar Cube Corner a visit. She loved cupcakes and she loved them a lot. No pony made them better than Pinkie Pie, and she worked at Sugar Cube corner. Scootaloo knew that Pinkie Pie would be rather upset with the events of her daughter missing, but she didn’t know what exactly happened. Or at least that was what Scootaloo thought. She brushed her teeth and styled her main. Scootaloo flew out of Rainbow Dash’s house leaving her a note that she went to Sugar cube corner to get some cupcakes.
As Scootaloo flew to the door of Sugar Cube corner she knocked on the door and response came slowly. But when she expected a happy pink pony to open the door with a warm greeting, she saw somepony different. It was a pony she never saw before; her mane was pink and purple, her coat was white, she had dark blue eye shadows, a pink bow on her mane, a pink scarf and a pink tie on her tale. She was fabulous and her face was so angel-like and innocent. She had a signing cutie mark and it seemed that her voice might be even better than her look. She stared at Scootaloo for a moment looking from top to bottom; her eyes were sleepy and her mane was messy as if a storm just past. She had scars all over her chest, stomach and lower. The pony smiled and her eyes watered. She looked at her one more time and jumped on Scootaloo with a warming hug. Scootaloo looked confused but she really didn’t care much; her coat was so soft and her hug was so heart-warming. “Scootaloo!” She squealed, then the Pegasus stepped back even more confused.
“Who a-are you and h-how do you know my n-name?” She said scared for her life. The pony frowned.
“It’s me, Sweetie Bell!” she exclaimed smiling again. ‘Sweetie Belle’ that name was familiar, it repeated in Scootaloo’s mind over and over again until she remembered.
“Oh, so it is you who wrote that prank-letter to Rainbow Dash?” She asked strictly scolding. Sweetie Belle looked confused.
“W-What do you mean? It was not a prank-letter! And I sent it to you!” Sweetie Belle exclaimed. Scootaloo looked at her and raised her eyebrow.
“Not a prank letter? You were lucky that I read it before Rainbow Dash!” Scootaloo sniffed rudely. Sweetie Belle looked at her with wide eyes and thought of what would happen if Rainbow Dash read it. And remembered Scootaloo’s soar body filled with scars.
“W-What did they do to you?” Sweetie Belle gasped. Scootaloo was even more confused; who did what?
“What do you mean? Who? What? I don’t even know you! Why do you care about me?!” Scootaloo harshly spat at Sweetie Belle.
“You… don’t remember me?” Sweetie Belle asked in horror. She then remembered what Derpy said to her when she was checking the mail ‘A brainwashed mare sent you this’ This sentence repeated in her head until she finally realized what happened. “YOU WERE BRAINWASHED!!!” She shouted at Scootaloo. “You must come with me!” She said madly. Scootaloo was very confused now. Sweetie Belle levitated Scootaloo and took her with her.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?!?! LET ME DOWN NOW! I DON’T EVEN KNOW YOU! WHO ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU DOING???” Scootaloo was shouting all the way until Sweetie Belle reached their destination. Sweetie Belle put Scootaloo down gently and pointed at the wretched house which was the CMC clubhouse before.
“Come in…” She said. Scootaloo hesitated at first, but then she decided to obey. She and Sweetie Belle came in; she saw a map which had crossed places of Ponyville, most of them did not exist. She looked around and saw lots of toys and a stereo.
“So what?” Scootaloo asked weirdly “What’s up with that?” Scootaloo asked and Sweetie Belle pointed to a photograph. Scootaloo came closer to the picture and saw herself. She was a young filly in the photograph and she was not alone; she was smiling with two other fillies together. Scootaloo was now VERY, VERY confused and she started to panic; she did not remember these days, she was always alone… who were these Fillies? She looked closer to the photograph and saw a note. ‘CMC’s forever’ Scootaloo started to cry; was she brainwashed? Suddenly Scootaloo felt a head ache and when she looked around, the room started to fade. She felt dizzy and in a few moments, her heart ached and she fell on the solid ground hearing one blurred voice
“SCOOTALOO!” Sweetie Belle cried.
Scootaloo woke up in the hospital and heard the doctor talking to Sweetie Belle.
“She hit her head hard, she won’t be able to recover, her skull is damaged and not even Celestia’s magic can let her recover, she will die. I’ m sorry. “ Sweetie Belle started to cry.
“I don’t want to lose another friend! No!” She cried loudly. Scootaloo looked at Sweetie Belle with a weak look and then she remembered what actually happened in her life; she had friends and they had lots of fun, she never liked the Rainbow Factory, and Rainbow Dash killed Orion, her Coltfriend. Scootaloo called out to Sweetie Belle weakly. Sweetie Belle happily ran to Scootaloo. “Scootaloo! I thought I will lose you!” She said excited and happy tears went through her beautiful eyes. She wanted to cheer up the white unicorn, but she knew that she would die soon.
“I’m sorry Sweetie Belle for everything… please, Sweetie, tell Pinkie Pie that I’m sorry that I killed her daughter, and please… I’m sorry but I won’t live anymore.” She said. Sweetie Belle gasped and started to cry harder.
“I-I thought… but… why?” She cried “I don’t want to lose you, Scootaloo, you are my only left friend!” She cried harder. Scootaloo put her hoof on Sweetie Belle’s mouth and hugged her.
“Please be strong, remember your song? You sang it to Apple Bloom to cheer her up!” She said “Now please, cheer up for me and be strong, you still have to live” She said and closed her eyes fading away into a dark deep sleep. Sweetie Belle cried for a moment but then, she stopped.
“I know what I have to do now, it is not safe to just let them go away! I and Pinkie Pie will have to have a chat with the princess” Sweetie Belle grinned evilly.
