This FanFicion is heavily inspired by Cupcakes by Sgt. Sprinkles, and also inspired and based on the song ‘Couldn’t you just simply die’ by General Mumble.
This is also my first, and possibly only FanFiction, I'm not begging for people not to criticize me, I am just asking that you take it into consideration that when I wrote this, I had no experience with any FanFiction writing. Thank you.

Applejack finished her work with one swift blow the the last apple tree for the day.
As the apples fell one by one into the buckets waiting below, the orange mare couldn’t help but feel proud, she and her little sister, Apple Bloom, had done it, they had cleared the section of orchard in just one week, Rainbow now owed them three days of apple bucking, something she would never do unless she had to, and seeing as she lost the bet - Applejack smirked in satisfaction - she was gonna have to.
Applejack sighed in relief as the last bucket of apples was lowered from the cart by her big brother, Big Macintosh, and carefully placed in the corner, ready to be squashed, pressed, baked or whatever they decided to do with them the next day, it had been the biggest harvest in weeks, and Applejack was glad to have nothing to do for the rest of the day- oh no...
Applejack almost fell to the floor as she remembered, she’d promised to help Rarity down in her store with some clothes arrangement or something... she was so tired, she didn’t think she could stand Rarity standing there for hours talking to her about dressmaking, and how ‘Those sparkles absolutely make you shine my dear’ but she had promised, and it wasn’t like Applejack to break a promise.
“Big Macintosh, I have to take care of one last thing, tell the others in the house that I’ll be gone a while, will ya?”
“Eeyup” Big Mac nodded, he was a pony of few words, and didn’t ask why, or what she’ll be doing, just trotted off towards the house, leaving Applejack to sway unsteadily on her feet, blink twice, then hurry off to Rarity’s store, for some long, boring, and ‘prim and proper’ talk.
Applejack stood outside Rarity’s store, took a deep breath and composed herself, trying to stop her eyelids from closing right then and there.
Com’on Applejack, you promised your friend you would be here, so you’re gonna be there, no matter how tired you are, just go on in, you can deal with her pompousness for a couple of hours, you’ve tackled much worse.
Laughing at that thought, and agreeing with herself, Applejack sighed, shook her head one last time, raised her hoof and knocked on the door.
The door opened to reveal the white mare, her coat glistening in the light of the slowly falling sun, and her eyes sparkling with happiness at seeing her friend.
“Rarity, you okay? You don’t look so good.” Applejack inquired, staring at her friend with curiosity and worry.
“Fine, Fine!” Rarity cooed, but Applejack could see, now she was standing in better light, Rarity’s hair was slightly more of a mess than usual. Normally, the white ponies mane was as immaculate as Dashie’s was messy, but tonight though, her mane looked different. A few hairs were out of place, nothing that would bother Applejack normally, but this was Rarity, the most glamorous and pretty pony in all of Ponyville, she’d never let even one hair out of place, let alone the messed up tangle Applejack was seeing in front of her, and as Applejack drew closer, she saw that the ponies coat wasn’t glistening, it was stained with patches of... blood red.
“Rarity, y’all bleeding! You okay? What happened?” Applejack darted forward to see what she could do for her friend, but Rarity just laughed quietly, and put a reassuring hoof around Applejacks shoulders.
“Now, now, Applejack, I’m perfectly alright, I was just... dying my er.. my mane a different color.”
Applejack looked at Rarity, confusion and uncertainty in her eyes.
“Your mane is as purple as ever Rarity, and a little more unkempt than usual, what's been happening?”
“Heh Heh...” Rarity gave a nervous giggle, “I was dying my mane, then you knocked and made me jump, I spilt the dye before it could touch my mane, and I didn’t see the point of brushing it this morning, seeing as I was only going to mess it up later, dear.”
“O...kay” Applejack said, still unsure, but relaxing a little, allowing her friend to guide her away from the door, closing it behind both of them with one of her hind hooves.
“Y’know, Rarity, I know I promised to help y’all with the dresses and hats and things, but its been a long hard day, couldn’t we possibly reschedule? I’m free on-” Applejack began, but Rarity held up a hoof.
“I’ll only be needing your help for five minutes dear, then I can handle everything from there.” The last three words had an edge to them that Applejack had not heard in Rarity’s voice before.
“Now look here, Rarity, you're acting mighty strange the evening, are you sure y’all okay, if there is something up you can tell me y’know, I’m here for ya no matter what happens.” Applejack pulled away from Rarity’s hoof, and looked at her friend, with a mixture of worry and curiosity in her eyes. Rarity looked as if she was about to protest, but then gave up and met her friends gaze.
“Everything... is not fine, Applejack, I...” She paused and then continued. “...I have had a bit of trouble in the back room, I was hoping to avoid it if possible, but now you ask... I...” The white pony stopped again, looking upset.
“Its okay, Rarity, you don’t have to tell me, I’ll go and check it out for you.” And without another word Applejack turned and headed for the door leading to the back room.
Applejack kicked open the door with a hoof, and trotted inside. The room was dark, and Applejack couldn’t see anything, not even with the dim lighting from behind her shining through the door, she groped around the wall beside her for the light switch, and pressed it.
She gasped.
In the centre of the room stood a large operating table, like the kind you would find in a hospital, it was slightly larger than an averaged sized pony, the only difference between it and a hospital table was the straps either side, and the metal padlock hanging loosely from one of them. Beside the operating table was a small metal cart, atop which lay several bloodied medical tools. Stacks of pony mannequins stood in the corners of the room, each with a different hat atop them, and several mannequins didn’t have hats, these were lying uselessly, scattered around the floor. It wasn’t the terrible operating table, the bloodied medical tools, or the creepy pony mannequins that made Applejack reel in disgust and horror, it was something much worse.
A ponies severed head, average in size, lay on the floor next the operating table, its coat, or what little that could have been seen of it under the bloodstains, was a light purple, and Applejack could tell this pony was a unicorn, because of the large hole in the dead ponies skull, where a unicorn horn SHOULD have been, the ponies mane was missing as well, instead there was just a bloodied mess and a few purple and pink hairs, and ripped and tattered skin where the mane should be, Applejack recognised this pony almost instantly, though the eyes were closed, Applejack was sure if she opened them she would find purple-rimmed eyes, that used to brim with curiosity and intelligence, from all those nights she had spent reading that library of hers.
“T-T-Twilight...?” Applejack managed to stutter, and tears began to well up in her eyes.
“Pesky unicorns, the horn always makes it difficult to remove the mane.” A voice, it couldn’t be Rarity’s voice, her voice was glamorous and as posh as her looks.
Applejack spun round in fright, nearly jumping out of her skin, tears slowly falling down her cheeks. A white pony with a purple, messy mane stood in the light of the doorway, grinning maniacally, her horn glowing.
“R-R-Rarity... w-what is this? S-some kind of sick j-j-joke?!” Applejack was shouting at the white pony now, the tears falling freely, and she backed away slowly.
“...and the Pegasi, always fluttering the wings, can’t keep them still for a moment, no dear, NO YOU CAN’T!” The white pony was yelling as well, “Earth ponies however, you are always easy, always softer and without all the extra magic...” This was not Rarity, at least, not any form or Rarity that Applejack had ever seen, she backed away even more, and felt the pressure of the operating table at her behind, she couldn’t move.
Applejack stood there, shaking, the tears splattering the floor, mixing with the blood and gore of the Twilight’s decapitated head.
“...a joke. A JOKE. They ALL say that, all of them, every single worthless pony, pegasus or unicorn I have dragged in here all think its a joke. WHY WHY WHY!!” And with that exclamation the pony began bashing her head against the wall, obviously deranged, blood appeared on the ponies forehead from the violent blows, but not enough to render her unconscious, she turned back to Applejack, pure, seething hatred. The mare looked unstable, her mane now even more of a mess than ever, blood dripped down her nose and she wavered on her hooves, but advanced slowly forward nonetheless, leering at Applejack.
Applejack could have run then, she could have pushed passed the white mare, who was obviously unbalanced by her head injury, and been out the door in moments, leaving this world of horror, gore and death behind, she could have gone to the mental hospital or the police station and told them of Rarity’s descent into insanity, she could have left that room then and there and lived a mostly happy life, grown old and died peacefully, in the knowledge that somepony as insane as Rarity had been locked away.
But thats just it; she could have.
Instead Applejack tried to dart forward, but slipped on the blood from the remains of Twilight, fell backwards and hit her head hard on the strong metal of the table.
Applejack sunk to the floor, he head bleeding and pounding painfully, her vision blurred, the last thing she saw was Rarity standing over her, and in her normal voice, Rarity was saying;
“Now, who’s a silly pony?”
Applejack tried to scream, but sank into unconsciousness.
It all went black.
The metal padlock felt extremely cold against Applejack’s flesh, as she started to regained consciousness she could feel other objects pressed against her skin. The top of a metal table, the hard, worn leather of straps secured tightly around her body, the bandage around her head, covering the wound she had received from the blow to her skull, the soft prick of a sharp metal instrument pressed against her cheek...
“Wakey, wakey, dear. My, my, you were out stone cold, you are very heavy you know, it took a lot of my magic to get you onto the table!” A soft, glamourous voice said, cheerfully, “A lot heavier than Rainbow Dash, now there is a screamer.”
“R-Rarity?” Applejack blinked her eyes in confusion, then she remembered the horror of the back room of Rarity’s shop, and instantly began twitching and struggling against her bonds, which held firm against her pathetic, weak attempts to break them, she pushed her head up, causing the sharp object, which Applejack could now see to be a surgical knife, to cut deeply into her cheek, drawing blood and making the orange mare cry out in pain, slamming her head back down onto the table. The knife stayed there, completely still, a slow, pulsing blue glow around it, suspending it in the air.
The same pulsing blue glow appeared to the right of Applejack, followed by a purple-maned head, as Rarity appeared, her eyes glaring down at Applejack, but her voice remaining normal.
“Oh, Applejack, I didn’t expect you to scream so loudly from just a little cut, my dear, Rainbow Dash didn’t start screaming until I started to use the chainsaw on her wings, which were a pain to remove, I might add. I ended up having to tear them from her using magic, not a pretty sight.”
"W-Why Rarity?" she pauses, breathing heavily, "Why are you doing this? I-if this is a joke...” she pauses again, barely able to keep back the tears. “...y-y’all goin’ too far now."
Rarity looked down at Applejack, the hatred returning to her eyes.
“AGAIN WITH THE JOKE. Fashion is no joke, FASHION is about making SACRIFICES!!” Rarity screamed at her. “You ponies all think its a game, that fashion is easy, that all you need is a couple of bits of thread and some material. WELL YOU’RE WRONG!!”
“I’ll show you... I’ll show you all, my hats and dresses will be the most well known in all of Equestria, you’ll see, you’ll all see... but you won’t, Applejack.”
Applejack started to cry again.
“Rarity, this is not like you, stop it. STOP RARITY PLEASE!!” Applejack screamed, as the blade was moved downward, scraping across her skin, but not puncturing it, not yet.
“You know, forget it.” Rarity snapped, her voice in her normal tones again.
The blade went soaring through the air and hit the wall, and Applejack sighed in relief, hoping there was some chance her captor would let her free of her bonds, that she could go home to Apple Bloom, Big Macintosh, Granny Smith and some hot apple pie.
No such luck.
A wicked, glinting blade rose from the table; much longer and much sharper than the previous one, and hovered over towards Rarity, who inspected it closely, before sighing.
“It’ll have to do.” She said, giving it a disapproving look, and starting forward toward Applejack, who watched, unable to speak out of sheer terror.
The blade descended towards Applejack’s right foreleg, and pressed against the skin. The point of the blade rested at an angle, then, suddenly and without warning, it zoomed upwards, puncturing the skin of Applejack’s shoulder, the blade didn’t go deep, but it went through, and out the other side, and rested there, leaving her skin from her.
Applejack didn’t scream, she had gone beyond that, but then she started to scream louder than she had ever before, as the blade slide downwards, stripping her foreleg of all flesh on the exposed side. The scrap of orange coated, useless and bloodied flesh fell to the floor, making an awful ‘Schwack’ noise.
Rarity moved over to Applejack’s left side and commenced the same thing again, then moved the blade down to tear through her hind leg, moved to the right once more, and tried to do the same. In her excitement, however, the blade zoomed downward to quickly, and, with a horrible thudding sound, it hit the hoof.
The blade had gone to deep into the skin, and moved too quickly, it thudded against the top of Applejack’s hoof, as the orange pony wept even harder.
“Hmm, what a bother, dear. I’m afraid that will have to come off.” Rarity sighed, looking extremely bored.
She trotted over to the cart, rummaged around using her magic, and produced a large, heavy hammer, and a long, rusted nail. She cheerfully trotted back to Applejack’s side, and the blonde mare could only watch, as Rarity placed the nail where the hoof met the flesh, hover the hammer above it, wink at her, then let the hammer fall.
Applejacks screams should have awoken all of Ponyville, but the door was heavy and thick, and Rarity had made some precautions with her magic, making the whole room sound proof. So the ear piercing shriek that came from Applejack was only heard by her tormentor.
The hammer fell again and Applejack screamed, then the hammer was tossed aside, the nail gripped by blue magic, and wrenched down, with a sickening crunch and tearing of flesh and bone, the hoof came free, Applejack’s severed skin tearing free from her, dropping to the floor.
Rarity hovered the hoof up to her, peering down at it with disgust.
“Oh my dear, you really do have VERY dirty hooves.” She muttered, and tore the flesh free from the hoof.
She then gathered up the flesh she had stripped from Applejack, ignoring the hoof as it clattered uselessly to the floor. As the orange mare watched, sobbing quietly, Rarity began to hang up the tattered flesh, peice by peice, on a thin line - which Applejack had not noticed before - that extended the room, on it hung other pieces of flesh, torn from helpless ponies, Applejack wasn’t the first, nor the last.
“You’re coat will look beautiful, my dear, I have been waiting for this for quite a long time, I have had very nice idea for an orange chef’s hat for the baker down at Sugarcube Corner, he really is such a nice stallion, and deserves the best service!” Rarity chimed.
“R-Rarity...” Applejack managed, in between her sobs of pain, “W-Why, I-I’m your friend. P-please Rarity, don’t...” Applejack managed nothing but sobs, the pain was too much for her to bear.
“Of course you are my friend! That is why I brought you here, you are so beautiful, Applejack, you will make a FINE PIECE OF FASHION!!” Rarity’s voice shrieked, and with that she lept over to Applejack, magiking a much smaller blade into the air.
“Now, dear, hehheh.... Hehhahehhahahhah! We need to be - H-hahha - precise with this part, yes - hehhehhahahhah!” Rarity screamed at her, losing all control now, the hate and the joy at the pain Applejack was experiencing showed in her face, and she laughed as the blade sunk into her friends Cutie Mark, slowly cutting around each of the three apples in turn, causing Applejack to scream once more, flailing around, trying to stop her torturer from continuing.
“KEEP STILL YOU WORTHLESS - HEHHAHAHAHAA - EARTH PONY!!” Rarity bellowed at Applejack, this only made the orange mare scream even more, and writhe in pain, making it impossible for Rarity to commence the delicate cutting out of the apples of her friends Cutie Mark.
Applejack writhed again, causing the blade to miss completely and slice deeply across her flank, showering her Cutie Mark and Rarity’s face in blood.
“YOU FUCKING WHORE OF A PONY! LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME - HEHEHEHEHAAA - LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO, I NEEDED THAT! YOU STUPID...!” And with every word Rarity used magic to slam Applejack’s head against the metal table. “...IGNORANT. UNCIVILISED. BRUTE. OF. A. MARE!!!” Rarity screamed, but Applejack screamed louder and louder, crying, trying to stop the white pony but only managing to let more tears flow and join the blood on the floor, her struggles became weaker and weaker, and Rarity stopped slamming her head against the table, and looked down at her, breathing heavily.
“I thought we could enjoy this...” Rarity’s voice lowered to a whisper, but somehow managed to get through Applejacks soft cries. “I thought me and you could just spend time on this last project together, before you died, but no, you give me no choice Applejack. I am going to have to speed things up.”
And the white mare lept onto of the table, painfully sinking her hooves into Applejacks stomach, and stood on top of her.
Applejack could barely breath, Rarity may look weak but she was a lot heavier than most ponies thought, she looked up at the white mare, tears falling faster, the screaming stopped by the look of pure hatred in Rarity’s eyes.
“Please...” Applejack crocked. “Please...”
Rarity dropped everything else in the room that was suspended by her magic, causing the knifes and various objects to clatter to the floor.
“Applejack, you ruined the fun we could have had, you must pay one last debt before you die.” Rarity still spoke in a whisper, and lead closer to Applejack.
Applejack felt the magic twist around the bottom of her mane.
“Please...”
The magic pulled the mane swifty upwards, tearing a few hairs from there place, but still staying intact.
The magic tore again and again, Applejack screamed as if there was no tomorrow -Which for her, there wasn’t - as the mane was torn repeatedly, hairs and scalp coming free of their place. She screamed for Big Macintosh, for Apple Bloom, for Granny Smith, for Princess Celestia.
“PLEASE ANYPONY!!” She cried, unable to let any more tears fall, as she had used them all up. “ANYPONY! ANYPONY! ANYP- AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!”
Her cries for help were cut short by the earth shattering scream that left her lips, as the mane tore free of its place, taking the scalp with it, ripping upwards and suspended triumphantly by Rarity's magic, dripping blood into Applejack’s eyes.
Rarity paused, hovering the scraps of mane and flesh over to the washing line. She had hoped to do the tail as well, but it was clear this one had no tears left to shed.
Applejack, somehow still conscious, watched through bleary eyes, as two sick looking blades hovered above her.
“Please...”
The blades hovered above her eyes.
“Please..”
The blades dropped.
“Please...”
The blades sunk into Applejack’s eyes, puncturing them, and all the light in the room left her, she couldn’t scream, she had gone far beyond pain now she just had her mouth open.
She breathed.
Rarity was impressed, no pony had survived that before, no pony, she ripped the blades out, aimed one at Applejacks head.
“PLEASE HELP ME!!!”
Applejack screamed the loudest she had all night, perhaps even the loudest she had in her whole life, writhing helplessly one last time.
The blade struck into her brain, ending her life and Applejack was no more.
Rarity sighed. She wasn’t messy, in fact, Applejack had been one of the cleanest in a long time, Twilight had been a pain, kept trying to use her magic to stop her, so she had had to tear out the horn swiftly, and Rainbow Dash and those awful fluttering wings, the wings had made a nice feather dress for a green pony called Lyra though, it looked very good and fetched a nice price too, so that was okay.
Rarity began the clean up, ripping out the tail and cutting off the ears, she then severed the head, and stuck it in the closet nearby, where many other pony heads were stacked, eyes closed.
She shut Applejacks lids with magic, and closed the closet doors, and began work on the chefs hat, she had a lot to do, that Cutie Mark would make a nice headpiece...
“Don’t you know, the clients always right.”
