//-------------------------------------------------------// My Little Dashie : Friendship Is Contagious -by AAlpha248- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Day 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Day 1 Dashie sat on the couch, watching Spongebob. I ignored her. It was just an ordinary day. Then I heard a noise. A noise she'd never made before. A cough. I'd heard her sneeze, oh yes, a sneeze was normal. But a cough. It was no ordinary cough, either. It was a moist, whooping, raspy cough. The kind I'd heard sick people make before. I turned, and there she was, wiping her nose on the armrest. "Was that you?" I asked. "Do." She said, with an obvious stuffy nose. SNERT! "Id wadn'd be." She was sick, I could tell that. But where was I going to take her? The Doctor wouldn't know what to do, and the Veterinarian would just report me. But there had to be SOMETHING I could do. "Dashie," I said, trying to hide the worry and confusion in my voice, "It's bathtime. We're going to bed early tonight." Her response was predictable. "aaaaaawwww..." she whined, "Bud I don'b wanna!" She got in the tub all the same. I gave her a hot bath, a snack of chicken soup, and sent her off to bed while I looked up What horse flu was like. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************** //-------------------------------------------------------// Day 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Day 2 She woke up early the next morning with a fever. I also noticed little bumps allover her skin. This could be bad. I don't want her getting sick, Because what if it doesn't pass? I need to do something. Her voice is getting raspier and she coughs all the time now. She sneezed on me as I was putting her to bed. I washed the area, but I still don't feel safe. She asked me If she was OK. I told her I didn't know. Was I right to do that?
