Equestria was once a beautiful place with flowers, pegasi, earth ponies and of course the elements of harmony in its residence, it was bliss for what seemed like forever.
until the day that the plague hit.
it started slow, as most viruses do, with a cough or a sneeze and no one thought of it, except for the princess who felt uneasy for several months at the sound of coughs.
That turned into wheezing.
That turned into fever.
That turned into paralyzation.
That killed half of Equestria.
But not unicorns so it seemed, unicorns found they were immune to all forms of the plague, and began studying why.
What they found soon changed everything. Unicorns discovered several scientific things that led them to more technology, and an ever growing race against time to save Equestria as the virus mutated to not only stay in non-unicorns, but to start to infect plant life as they slowly died off and Equestria became grey.
It had been 10 years after the plague, the princess is rarely ever seen out of her castle, most life is dead, and unicorns now had the capabilities of interstellar space flight. the princess refused to leave and made no further answers as to why, it seemed that Equestria was doomed.
Unicorns went on to build giant ships and stations, leaving Equestria as it slowly died, unicorns started to call this a curse or the worst day in recorded history, either way it didn't matter for it was a grim sight to see Equestria dimmed into a husk, and having to leave it all behind.
Its 2000 years since Equestria was abandoned, and the unicorns were going strong with ways of traveling extremely long distances though space, establishing multiple colonies, and advancing in medicine, magic, and weapons. even still pony kind never recovered as you would rarely see a Pegasus or an earth pony on most occupied planets, but it wasn't without hope when Mary Anmdamada ascended to be the galaxy's most successful scientist and assisted in establishing communication with various species which helped form the New Galactic Republic. although Mary flourished, most of her work never was released and was locked away on her research ship, The Genesis which was eventually lost in a expedition to the edges galaxy soon after she retired. she retired at an early age to the planet where she met a stallion named Olive Pallet and were soon wed having a daughter of their own, Violet Rose Anmdamada. While Mary was the Genisis's head scientist, she wasn't on it that often, instead she often set out with her crew on her expatiation ship, the Trinity, mostly researching something only her crew and the Genesis's crew knew about, eventually becoming one of her lost projects as it soon faded into myth that the files never even existed.
But Violet knew better.
She knew her mother well and spent a lot of time with her even after late fillyhood, she knew about the Genisis and that the projects were something important, yet not knowing what it exactly was, it was one of the only secrets Mary kept from her.
Violet knew her father but not as well as her mother, he was a painter and was a bit more distant than Mary but still loved Violet and cared for her like any good father would.
When Violet was a teenager she started martial arts training and her mother had moved to a new planet, Doros, a month after Violets 13th birthday. Olive died of cancer a week after the move. Mary didn't take it well.
Violet was now a grown adult and her mother had gotten older and passed as well, leaving all her possessions to her only daughter along with her expedition ship the Trinity.
Violet hadn't been the only one to knowledge the existence of Mary's unreleased work, the Galactic Republic was tipped by an unknown source something valuable to the existence of pony kind had been in the Genisis, and believed it still was, asking Violet to uncover the research and giving her full accesses to most routes and areas in the Republics reach along with a full crew if she agreed.
Violet had so many questions, so many answers about her mother she needed to hear and this was her opportunity.
She accepted.
Violet continues to write about her time on the Trinity along with inputs from her daily captains log how the second biggest discovery was made.
With the help of her crew and several adventures that guided her, these are the tales of how she fights, discovers and searches for her answers.
