Prologue (The Conspiracy)
Some time before 17 June 2010 [Day Zero] in Reality, Night [Exact time unknown]
A 'Cursed' Empty Classroom in North High School, Haruhi Suzumiya Universe
There's this theory that in anime, cartoons, and video games, what we see is only a glimpse of the world. Everything behind the scenes is not shown to the viewers. We've seen behind the scenes, and one event there changed Reality... well, Indonesia, forever.
The following events are recreated based on Haruhi Suzumiya's perspective, and I decided to try his hand in literature-style writing as shown here. Also, Japanese speech would be translated for the reader's convenience.
============================================================
A girl sat on the 4th desk from the front, closest to the windows. Showered by the moonlight, revealing her short brown hair with a yellow headband with matching yellow ribbons on both sides and golden eyes, she gazed out the window, waiting to meet someone. The school was practically devoid of life at night, so she was waiting for someone outside the student body. She understood the awkwardness of establishing a meeting with that person inside the school, as evidenced by her anxiety.
A few minutes later, a ladyand an alicorn entered the scene without so much as a poof. The alicorn had white fur, hair flowing with many colors just like a rainbow, and a regal aura. The lady had a very frilly dress, blonde hair, a hat adorned with a red ribbon around it, and a fan. That person immediately sneaked up to the waiting girl and poked him on the shoulder, startling her.
"Whoa! You scared me, guys..." the girl said in a Japanese-accented English while the lady and the alicorn giggled.
"It's your fault for not looking behind you~" the lady said, with the same Japanese-accented English, referring to the girl.
"I know... I thought both of you would use the front door! I'd be ready to welcome you if you did so!" the girl said to both of them.
"So, have you got the merchandise?" the alicorn asked the girl.
"I've got it right here~" Haruhi said while picking a pile of letters from her bag and putting it on the table. They were letters from Madoka Kaname who 'ascended to a higher plane of existence'. The letters describe that 'higher plane of existence' and places like 'London', 'Jakarta', 'Surabaya', and other places in 'Indonesia'. The 3 then proceeded to read the letters.
According to the letters, when she first 'ascended' [at the end of episode 13 of the Anime], she arrived in a real world city called London, where she spent some time exploring it. She met Harris F. Rutherford, who was knighted a few months before due to his exemplary actions with the British army in Iraq, in front of the Buckingham Palace. He said that the title of the 'knight' meant nothing in the 21st Century, merely 'a title granted in illegal service to two dying nations [the United Kingdom and the USA], in this case to suppress a country's advance to greatness'. After a few more days of exploring Great Britain, Harris offered Madoka an opportunity to 'escape' with him to a city called Makassar. She accepted the offer, and they left London for Jakarta, where they would buy another plane ticket from Jakarta to Makassar.
In Jakarta, she was amazed by the vibes of the city and the friendly locals, despite all the bad press it gets in the West-centric media, which Harris loathed. Some Jakartans use creative means for their living, while others... not so much. Some descended to a life of crime out of desperation, while some others work to help those people. Either way, all the Jakartans admit that a lot of things in Indonesia, corruption and welfare among them, need either improvement or massive overhaul. Or both. Some are already working towards that aim without waiting for the government's green light, so she and Harris observed. That first impression was further solidified in Jakarta's night life. In one of the night clubs she found Jakartans from all walks of life communing together and having fun. In Makassar, she observed the same thing, apart from the few so-called 'tawuran's (fights) and all. It is there that Harris established a domestic shipping company called "Indonesia One Logistics" and asked Madoka's hand in marriage. She accepted, and that ended the letters, presumably because the couple was too busy managing the new company.
"Indonesia seems to be a wonderful place, even with all the bad press," the alicorn said.
"I've been there myself, even before Madoka was there, for a long time. I didn't let myself get known, though. Still, Gensoukyou seems to be a perfect fit for Indonesia, with its sufficient chaos and all..." the lady said.
"So we all agreed, then, that Indonesia will be a suitable place for our three worlds to get to know each other?" the girl asked.
The three nodded to each other.
============================================================
And get to know each other they did. Here I will provide the summary of the events, related to the Three Worlds Conspiracy, between Day Zero and the Day of Reckoning.
Day Zero was 17 July 2010, where I met Shana-chan for the first time in a hairy situation. Some of my friends and a Korean teacher also met some Haruka Nogizaka-san, Misaka Mikoto-san, and Kino-san respectively. We defeated a 'villain' called Zetsumu on 30 July 2010. The word was in quote signs because his motives were childish and even after training only for 12 days he was quite... underwhelming to say the least. By doing that, though, we opened the gate for the Anime World, Gensoukyou and Equestria.
The first day of school was 1 August 2010. Lacus-sensei sparred with me and taught me parry-countering and block-countering early in the morning before school starts, and I get to practice it against Haruhi after school. Here starts the Russian involvement, with Anton Kudryavka and Andriy Romanov helping me beat her. There was also a serial killer in the Anime World who turns out to be part of the Conspiracy. He committed murders against his own will, for he was possessed by the girls who then forced him to kill their bodies so that they would be able to 'ascend to Reality'. After gaining some new Indonesian and foreign allies, Mr. Harris F. Rutherford (the aforementioned Harris in the letters) and Ms. Madoka Kaname among them, we snapped the 'serial killer', Mr. Samuel Springfield, out of the spree, forcing Haruhi to admit the Conspiracy to everyone in Indonesia via TV. To everyone's surprise, the Indonesians took it well.
Note: It is also at this time that Sol Infinitum (Earth's Ar Tonelico) rose up from the depths of the earth near Siladen Island, North Sulawesi. We turned it into an artillery system + the largest wi-fi router in the history of mankind.
Yukari started introducing Gensoukyou into Indonesian soil from 1 January 2011, when she moved Hakurei Shrine to the outskirts of Bandung. Soon after, she moves other important parts of Gensoukyou to parts in Indonesia seamlessly, like Gunung Agung in Bali becoming an equivalent of Youkai Mountain, the Palace of the Earth Spirits being near the Anak Krakatau, the Scarlet Devil Mansion in Samosir Island, et cetera. We also had to deal with the remaining Specters (the term we started calling the ghosts of Mr. Samuel's victims) from the Anime World. Also, we formed the so-called Indonesian Special Operations Group (I-SOG), per the public's request, to help coordinate defenses. Mr. Harris taught me about business at this time, by the way.
Note: The Harada Mansion (the one from D.N.Angel) popped up near Kampar River, the one with the so-called perfect waves. It was turned into the Kampar River Watersports Center. The Sanzen'in Mansion popped up in the outskirts of Jayapura, and the locals turned it into a Papuan Cultural Center.
The introduction of Gensoukyou ended without any incident on the 22nd of October 2011. Nothing happened until the 26th of October 2011, where we get called by the guys in Pulau Macan in Kepulauan Seribu (north of Jakarta) to help them defend the area from a pirate spaceship, apparently similar to the ones in the Anime 'Mouretsu Pirates!'. Kana Hanazawa (then a Specter, and that means she had also been killed) separated me from the I-SOG battle group and forced me to fight her in a warehouse. Then she unintentionally killed me with her last ditch attack, the White Phosphorous suicide bomb (don't worry, the Fourth Wall Boundary erected before the fight suppressed the effects of the bomb). Kana-nee (the way I called her since then) then brought me back to life by turning me into a half-specter. Then we rejoined the squad and finished the mission by capturing the spaceship and its crew. Then I had to explain how I died, and it wasn't fun.
Note: Kana-nee even said happy birthday to me. The fact that she, then an almost complete stranger [apart from being a famous Seiyuu and the fact that I bumped into her once in Singapore], knew my birthday scared me.
The I-SOG Grand Gathering Event, dubbed the Unofficial Jakarta December Festival, was from 2 to 9 December 2011. The Indonesian Sentinels (IaSt) team beat Team Solomid (TSM) 2-1 in a LoL exhibition match [after the LoL National Championship] on the third day, the exhibition fights between I-SOG and Ala Alba on the seventh day ended in a draw and incited thunderous applause all around the country, and Princess Celestia declared that she has a surprise for all Indonesians on the day after the Closing Ceremony.
10 December 2011 was the Day of Reckoning, the day when tens of Fantasy-related incidents happened simultaneously at 10 AM Western Indonesian Time. One of the grand incidents will be detailed in the next chapter.
