Eviction.
"Celestia damn it." I thought.
Today could not get worse, I had lost my job as a DJ in the Nightclub where I worked when I broke the DJ set from Wubbing to hard. The Lights shattered and I was fired for the accident. I trotted home with my head down, the moon high in the sky.
When I reached my house I groaned in frustration. This rich pony has been hounding me for bits ever since I got my job at the club where I "used" to work.
"Well if it isn't Cerulean Skies, How was the party?"
I clenched my teeth together, My fangs started to elongate.
"No, He is not worth it."
They slowly shrank back to a decent length.
"Perfect," I replied to the stuck up pony and his thugs.
"I heard you got fired after you blew up the place, Tell me how are you going to pay your debt now?"
"What debt?!" I exploded
"The Imaginary debt that you claim ponies owe you just so you can suck the bits away from the ponies who can already barely afford to feed themselves?" I had had enough of this rich pony hounding me all the time. I didn't even know his name.
This coupled with the fact that I was fired, Lets just say I was less then pleased.
The pony shook his head. "I'm selling your rundown house, you have no means to pay your debt."
I shook my head and held in my fury for this pony. I walked towards him and my front door when a hoof barred my way.
"You don't live here anymore. All the contents inside the house are mine."
Aw hell no.
I grabbed one of the thugs and threw him at the rich pony. The other thug tried to tackle me but I dodged him with ease. By now both of them had recovered and charged me. My fangs elongated and I grabbed both of them by the neck. My eyes glowed red and I stared at the Rich pony.
"Leave now, If you know whats good for you." My voice had grown deeper and all three of them looked scared out of their minds.
I threw them away from my house and into the street. The rich pony galloped away. I took a deep breath and my eyes returned to their original sky blue color.
I stepped inside my home and put on my grey hoodie. I loved the thing and always wore it in the daytime, but I felt like wearing it tonight. I relaxed for a few minutes until I heard a commotion outside and a loud voice yell.
"This is the Manehatten Police Department, we have the building surrounded! Come out quietly or we will breach your home!"
I clenched my hooves in fury,
"Celestia damned rich ponies..."
I galloped upstairs and grabbed my bag of bits along with a thick pair of blue sunglasses.
I took a steadying breath. I looked out of my bedroom window and saw atleast a dozen stallions outside of my home. My fangs elongated and I looked at the moon.
"I'm going to need you tonight."
I trotted downstairs and opened the door I trotted to the chief of police with my head down. He grabbed me and pulled me towards a chariot with another officer waiting.
I looked up and grinned at the officer waiting at the armored wagon. He stared at me in shock and I threw the chief over my body and booked it. I started running as fast as I could, I rammed into one of the officers and sent him to the ground. I was much to fast for the officers.
I jumped onto a roof and took off into the air. I saw a group of pegasi point towards me and started chasing me. I flew fast in the darkness of the night. I flew east towards the mountains adjacent to Manehatten. I started losing the Pegasi when I heard one of them shout.
"How the buck is this guy so fast?!?"
I grinned and put on a burst of speed. I lost them after a minute and I flew up to the mountain overlooking Manehatten.
"I was born here.. I lived here since this place was just a couple shacks... I guess its time for a new beginning."
I flew east for hours, passing dragon mountain and next to the Everfree forest. I followed a river to a certain small town I had heard of before. Maybe this place was quiet enough for me.
"Ponyville."
Pinkie Pie Party?
I followed the river leading to Ponyville, The sun was rising and I would quickly lose energy in it. I wanted to get to Ponyville to avoid crashing in the middle of nowhere. I flew until Ponyville was in sight and I saw the biggest apple orchard I had ever seen.
"Almost.. there."
I began to grow fatigued and the sun rose abruptly.
"Well shit."
I lost the energy to fly and began plummeting towards the orchard. I landed with a thud and a crack.
"Arrrghhh!"
I inspected my hoof and found it bent at an odd angle. I heard a mare with a southern accent speak to another pony.
"Hey Twi, that sounded like somepony getting hurt."
I rolled over and cradled my hoof.
"Damn sun..." I whispered in pain.
"Hey is anypony there?- Oh mah. Twilight come here!"
I heard them trot towards me and I muttered.
"Tired.. Crashed.. Hoof.."
Normally this wouldn't be a problem, If it was night I could have landed and shrugged it off. I was much weaker in the sunlight. I opened my eyes and when I noticed the two mares my jaw dropped.
"Twilight.. Sparkle?.. Element of magic?"
She opened her eyes wide and blushed.
"Your appearance precedes you.."
I groaned when a spike of pain came from my hoof. Twilight offered to heal it.
"Would you mind if I healed your hoof for you?"
I nodded weakly. She grasped my hoof with her magic aura and she warned me.
"I have to set it back in place first so it will hurt at first."
I nodded again and closed my eyes tightly. I felt a stabbing pain in my hoof and I cried out.
"AHHH" *Crack*
My hoof was set back in place and the pain quickly abated, courtesy of Twilight. I stood up and put some weight on my hoof.
"Thank you, My name is Cerulean Skies. I was a DJ in Manehatten until I decided to come to Ponyville."
Applejack the Element of Honesty grabbed my hoof and shook it vigorously.
"Nice to meet you to! Ah'm Applejack, owner of Sweet Apple Acres, my family and I work the farm.
I grinned at her enthusiasm when Twilight spoke up.
"Why don't you come meet everypony else?" She smiled at me.
"That sounds good, where ar-"
"Hey Twilight! My tail got all stiff which means i'm going to-"
She took one look at me, Gasped almost comically and dashed off in a pink blur.
"Uhh.. What just happened?"
Twilight face hoofed. "That was just Pinkie being Pinkie."
We started trotting towards Ponyville where the girls introduced me to the town, I saw a yellow pegasus mare trotting with at least half a dozen bags on her back.
"Hey Fluttershy!"
"Oh hello Twilight I- *Squee!*" Fluttershy hid behind her mane when she saw me and gave me a shy look.
"Oh its okay Fluttershy this is Cerulean Skies. He is new to Ponyville."
"Oh... Hi."
"What was that? you'll have to speak up."
She hid behind her mane and I could tell she was obviously a very shy pony. We met lots of other ponies once Fluttershy departed. Eventually Applejack had to leave.
"Hey Twi, As much as I'd love to stay I gotta finish the orchard okay?"
"Thats fine Applejack, I'll see you tonight!"
Applejack took a look at me and grinned, She rolled her eyes afterwards and laughed.
"Uh.. what was that?"
"Don't worry about it Cerulean. It was nothing"
I nodded and we trotted until I reached an elegant looking building called Carousal boutique. Twilight walked in a bell rung and a I could here a mares voice from inside.
"Just a minute!" "Welcome to- Oh its you Twilight and.. Who is this?"
"This is Cerulean Skies, He is new to Ponyville also he is from Manehatten."
Rarity gasped. "Manehatten?! Oh you must tell me what its like there!"
My smile vanished and I shook my head. "I would rather not talk about it.
Rarity was confused at first. "Touchy subject?" I nodded.
"Well, thats fine. Oh my its getting late. Today just flew by did it not?"
I grinned, I always felt exhilarated at night.
Twilight nodded. "It did seem to fly by today."
"I'd hate to impose but I don't have any place to stay tonight. I have bits to pay for rent if necessary."
Twilight spoke up. "You can live with me for awhile if you want."
I smiled "Thanks Twilight!"
We said goodbye to Rarity and departed.
"Where do you live Twilight?" I asked
"I live in the library, its right next to Carousal boutique."
For some reason the streets were empty as I walked to Twilight Library. Twilight stepped aside when we reached the Library.
"After you."
I shrugged and opened the door.
*BOOM*
"SURPRISE!"
I jumped at least a foot in the air and Pinkie Pie started bouncing around me.
"Did we scare you? huh? huh?"
I smiled and nodded, Pinkie jumped in the air and shouted.
"LETS PARTY!"
I noticed there was a small banner that said.
"Welcome to Ponyville Cerulean Skies."
"They threw a party just because I arrived here?"
I heard Twilight shout.
"Pinkie!? How many ponies did you invite?"
"EVERYPONY!" she giggled and continued jumping around.
I saw a DJ set and nearly drooled, It had state of the art equipment and I trotted towards it in a daze.
"Everypony can I have your attention please?"
They all listened to me, the guest of honor for a few moments.
"I'd like to show you all how I earned my Cutie Mark."
I turned on the set and took a deep breath.
I started playing a song I had made up, The lights turned off and beams of light reflected off of a disco ball in the center of the Library. I casted beams of light upon the disco ball that bounced and reflected all over the Library.
A few minutes later the song ended and a last blast of base echoes through the Library. Everypony cheered for me and I grinned. This is what I was meant to do in life. Twilight and her friends trotted up to me.
"That was So Awesome!" I heard Rainbow Dash squeal.
"Yeah!" Pinkie said, "But the set was for Vinyl Scratch."
"Who?"
"Me" I heard a mare speak out with a bit of annoyance.
"Damn it"
I turned and found the most beautiful mare I had ever seen.
"Oh... Uh sorry?"
Vinyl Scratch wasn't one to get upset over things, However she shook her head at me and ran out of the library. I galloped after her.
"Wait! I'm sorry!"
I chased after her, she was fast but I was much faster. When I caught her she looked angry. She lifted her hoof and it collided with my face.
"Ouch."
When I got back up she was crying and I could hear her mutter.
"Its not fair..*Sniff* I could never *Sniff* compete with that..."
I got up and tried to comfort her.
"I got my Cutie mark in that kind of music Vinyl. I'm sorry, I had no intention of making you feel like this."
"I'm sorry *Sniff* that I hit you."
"It's alright."
"Do you want to get back to the party?"
"Yeah.. I guess I kind of overreacted."
Vinyl Wiped the red from her eyes and we trotted back to the party. When we arrived Vinyl grabbed a drink and sat down, I grabbed my own drink and joined her. Twilight and the others were trotting towards me when I held up a hoof. They stopped and nodded knowingly. They all returned to the party and I sat next to Vinyl making sure she was okay.
We got to know each other better as we drank hard cider, courtesy of Applejack.
"How long have you lived in Ponyville?" I asked her.
"My whole life."
I nodded and she asked me.
"Why did you come to Ponyville?"
I sighed, "I was evicted by a rich pony after I was fired at my job, I worked in a club in Manehatten."
"Oh... how did you get fired?"
I laughed. "I broke the DJ set."
Vinyl laughed with me knowing just how things like that could happen.
"After that I pretty much got run out of town so I thought, Why not come here?"
We laughed and drank for many hours when Vinyl spoke to me.
"Hey Ceru.. Did I mention you look sexy in that hoodie?"
I raised an eyebrow at her. I liked her but I didn't want to take it to fast.
I smiled and grabbed her. I whispered in her ear.
"Are you interested in me Vinyl?"
She blushed and nodded slightly. I grinned and wrapped my hoof around her neck.
"I'll give it a chance okay Vinyl?"
Vinyl smiled and I smiled with her. The party started dieing down and Vinyl asked me a question.
"Do you want to come live with me for awhile?"
I smiled. "I'll let Twilight know."
I got up and trotted to Twilight.
"Twilight, I'm going to be staying at Vinyl's for a few days okay?"
Twilight nodded and continued to clean up her library. I trotted over to Vinyl and wrapped my wing around her.
"Lets go home Ceru."
