Prologue
I'm in love. Let's start with that. In love with a colt I've known almost my entire life. The colt who lives two doors down from my house. He's one of the smartest ponies I know. He is one of the few ponies who doesn't think I'm socially backward or naive. He is the one pony who I can always count on if I need to talk about something but don't wish to talk to any of my gal pals or family about. He is kind and, well, everything any filly would want in a colt. The only thing is..... he doesn't know how I feel about him.
My name is Emerald Petunia Glow but everyone calls me Emy. I'm a fourteen year old emerald green unicorn filly with a dirty blond mane and violet eyes. I bear no marking on my flank. And this is the story of my first love. His name is Coffee. Coffee Rainbow. He's a beige unicorn with black mane and eyes. He bears a mallet on his flank to represent his love of politics.
I love to play with my friends as we try to find our special talents. He enjoys politics and wishes to go into a field of law when he grows up.
I might be able to comfort my friends and help them undetstand their emotions but I'm clueless on how to even approach my own. I- I think he likes me back but I don't know for sure. I'm- I'm scared what will happen if I ask him. What if he doesn't feel the same towards me? What happens then?

Coffee: Chapter 1: Dress to Impress
Well, today was busy to say the least. Mama Fluttershy took Scoot and me to get some jewelry for tomorrow to go with our dresses.
"What is tomorrow?" you may ask. It's the Stardust boat trip. That's like the mini pony prom for us except it's during the school day, you don't bring a date and there's no prom queen and king...
...But just because you don't bring a date doesn't mean you don't have one by the end. I'm really hoping Coffee notices me. Scoot and me aren't much for dresses so we're really hoping the colts we crush like it. We're wearing some really pretty matching black dresses covered with white dots.
We are so nervous and excited we can't sleep. Scoot is still trying to fall asleep while I gave up hours ago. I sure hope tomorrow goes on without a hitch.
I'm gonna daydream or rather night-dream about Coffee some more. Bye.
Yeah, sorry about not writing more in like months. But so much has changed and now I feel better prepped to tackle this story.
