Twilight has returned to Canterlot in the interest of advancing her studies. One morning, however, she finds Celestia doing something very silly and can't, for the life of her, figure out why. Her curiosity leads her down a path she is unfamiliar with, but still altogether intrigued by. Soon, however, she finds her search drawing her back to introspection, wondering whether she's pursuing Celestia for research… or for other reasons.

Even fearing the inevitable conclusion, she never stops—for Twilight Sparkle is not one to be denied an answer.
