Haunted by her past visits to Ponyville, Trixie attempts to return as a showmare. After an abysmal first performance, she begins her travels through Equestria, looking for ways to survive, and beginning a path of self-discovery. Her journey leads her across all of Equestria, and to many of the lands beyond, driven by every emotion from fear and self-loathing to revenge, humility and self-sacrifice.

(This story is the first in a series about several different characters, but Trixie has to be first. This will also take place before the coronation, and I'm still unsure if that will happen in this story or in the series at all. Depends on where I get with it.)
