The story starts with a Pony chained and bound in the canterlot dungeons- awaiting judgement at the hooves of Princess Celestia. The pony looks out to the single solitary window, barred and high up at the ceiling, he let out a sigh and lowered his head, his cellmate chuckling lightly to himself; "Hehehe.... whats the matter, finally seeing how hopeless it all is?" Eyes turning to a burning red, a large pair of fangs protruding from his mouth "SILENCE!" spitting in the direction of the now terrified earth pony stallion "You have no idea why it is i'm sad... all my life has been nothing but surviving through sheer luck, i cant believe it will all end so sadly despite how much i put into trying to live to the fullest..." The prisioner looked over at the vampony pegasus, sitting closer- still wary of the monster "i-it seems you have a story behind you... i dont suppose you'd mind telling a lost soul like myself your tale?" The vampony was about to obect, but nodded- closing eyes as if the words he spoke inveiled in front of him like a mirage "My name, is Emerald Thunder... and this is the tale of my life...." "I was born three hundred and twenty eight years ago... the son of two pegasi- a seamstress and a farmer in a remote village called Glascow. My child hood was a cruel one, my parents believed my quiet behaviour was a sign i was plotting to steal from them, or some other ridiculous notion" the pony chuckled at this, thinking of what his parents would think of him now "But it all went horribly wrong when a customer suddenly appeared one quiet day... Remembering it in his mind; there he was, playing quietly hoping to avoid the steely gaze of his mother when a griffon hobbled into the shop, eyeing the light green decoratons  and the small rustic cabin as well as the several strips of thred strewen around the shop, his mother jumping unexpectedly "OH, w-welcome to Glascow garments, how may i help you sir?" but the sentence had barely left her mouth when he pulled a sword from under his wing, aiming it at the throat of the now terrified mare "All of you get outside, you ponies will fetch a good price with the diamond dogs!" The mother running to the back of the cabin where Emeralds younger sister jade lay asleep in a crib, he went to run in after  her when he heard it- a sickening slicing noise, and a flow of red liquid came from the door as the griffon emerged holding the crying filly, his mother Giving him a cold stare through glassy eyes. His father burst in distraught and tried to protect his home but he was no match for the brigands who cut him down, putting his sister in a large wooden cage attachd to a cart "Y-you killed them... you wont kill my sister!" picking up a sewing needle from the table leapt on the griffon, stabbing the yelling creatures eye again and again
