"A...Fine."
Crystal said, her ears flopped against her head and she sighed. Lavender grinned,

"GREAT!" She squeaked, Ciaramist stared at them...

"Couldn't we just use magic?" She asked awkwardly. Lavender stared at her, obvious shock crossing her face.

"M-MAKE IT STOP!" She howled, getting lots of strange glances from the ponies who passed by. Crystal hid behind Halo, clearly embarassed by her purple friend.

"Was it something I said?" Ciaramist wondered to herself. Lavender huffed and strutted off, keeping a dignified look from the random ponies watching, she was dragging Crystal behind her, she eventually let go and let her walk on her own, but stopped as no one else followed.

"C'mon, let's go to my house!" She howled to the other four, grinning now, seeming to completely forget what Ciaramist had said that had offended her so much. She trotted off towards the dusty stone path, everypony else was huffing as they trotted heavily behind the lavender earth pony.

Ciaramist cleared her throat quietly and trotted behind them, her hooves making a clip-clop sound on the path. She looked around at the houses, there were many of them, and staring out the windows were ponies of all colors, a minty-green unicorn's head was tilted as she watched the newcomer. The moment the minty-green unicorn saw Ciaramist looking at her, she quickly put on a smile and waved a hoof. Ciaramist waved back, then trotted on, keeping at a close pace with her friends.

She glanced at Crystal Gem, and whispered quietly to the blue-and-white unicorn, "Hey...Does she always freak out at the mention of magic?"

Crystal Gem held back a small chuckle. "No, Darling. Only when it has to do with making fireworks." She chuckled now, unable to hold it back.

Halo was giving them a glance, her eyes shined lightly with something that almost seemed to be a warning to them.

Ciaramist looked about at her surroundings and saw a cream-colored earth pony with a pink-and-purple mane trotting along, then she saw a rather tall, bulky, red stallion trotting through, pulling a cart full of apples, she kept moving, till the lavender pony that was leading them stopped upruptly.

"We're here!" Lavender called, gesturing with her pale purple hoof to the door of her home, she shoved it open rather roughly, and a squishing sound. "Whoops! There goes my secret stash of cupcakes." She said in a rather disdainful tone.

"This...Wow." Ciaramist said, there was fireworks everywhere, not to mention several cupcakes scattered about that seemed to be in such quantities that they could feed an army. The walls were dark purple, and had burn marks all over them. Sketches of extreme inventions were strung about, half-finished projects were carefully laid across. The room was a mess, she had clearly shoved her things aside to make a pathway, it wasn't to the extreme that she looked like a hoarder. Actually, it looked more like a child's messy room. Ciaramist coughed lightly, and looked at Lavender, her gaze clearly amused.

"Do you really need to make more?" She asked, her ears flopped lightly, she hoped Lavender wouldn't 'explode' again.

"Well duh!" Lavender grinned, opening a small drawer and pulling out gunpowder. She grinned almost madly and reached into a cupboard and pulled out string to use for a fuse.

"C'mon, Crys!" Lavender smirked gleefully, pulling out a shell to use, then pulling out some sugar, strangely enough, then bounded to another drawer and grabbed some Timberwolf toenails.

Ew... Thought Ciaramist, she was beginning to think she had misjudged her, she wasn't just crazy. This pony was insane.

Lavender Joy then grabbed something that was bright red and glowing, it was a bag, a normal bag, but it was full of a glowing powder. Ciaramist couldn't help but admire it the slightest bit. "What's that?" She asked. Lavender shrugged, "Honestly, I have no idea! It's something I've been finding recently in caves...It's extremely explosive."

"What are we making?" Crystal asked warily, her head drooping almost to the ground, she hated making fireworks, sure, it was beautiful when it went off, but you try making it with a crazy pony who half of the time set it off in the middle of the construction.

"Firecrackers!"

"Oh ponyfeathers."

"C'mon, Crys! I won't set your mane on fire this time!"

Ciaramist started, she was afraid to ask about her mane., she looked at Crystal, who rolled her eyes. Midnight bounced, "Hey, I can help!" She said.

Crystal looked at her gratefully, until Lavender decided she wanted both Crystal and Midnight to help.

Lavender grabbed a few circular pieces of cardboard and took the gunpowder. She shoved it into Crystal's hooves, she jumped, and handles it carefully. Lavender carefully handed the red stuff to Halo, who stared at her, Lavender really wasn't paying attention, she had meant to hand it to Midnight.

"Crystal."

"Yes?"

"You're breathing too hard."

Crystal huffed, this pony may not have seemed all that bright, but when she focused, she was gonna focus.

She did a few adjustments to the shell, then held it upright. "Crystal, gunpowder- carefully." She added, pointing to the shell with the hoof she wasn't using to hold it up. Crystal poured the gunpowder carefully into it, until Lavender told her to stop.

"What do you want me to do with this?" Halo asked, she had a quiet nature, Ciaramist had seen that from the time she first met her, she seemed sensitive to her.

Lavender's focus immediately snapped. "Uh...Give it to Midnight, please." She said,
Halo did as asked. Lavender then looked back to her fireworks, "Midnight, pour some- carefully, mind you, into the shell." She said simply, and Midnight did as told, the whole thing exploded.

"PONYFEATHERS!" Crystal jumped back off of the wooden chair, holding her mane in her hooves.

Lavender bursted. "OOPS!" She guffawed. "I forgot to seperate them!" She squealed.

They repeated the process, and they finally got it right.

"OHHHH YEAH!" Lavender squeaked as she shoved it onto the shelf, her eyes wide with absolute joy.

"How about now we make some smoke bombs?" Lavender practically squealed, and Crystal drooped again.

It was a long process, they made five firecrackers, twelve smokebombs, and two fountains,
Both Halo and Ashley fell asleep during the process, which was understandably, but Ciaramist was particularly interested in the process.

Lavender trotted over to Ashley and Halo, Ashley was sleeping on the ground, and Halo had settled herself on Lavender's couch, she grinned mischeviously, she left Halo alone, considering she was more the sensitive type.

"WAKEY-WAKEY, ASH!" She howled in Ashley's ear. Ashley shrieked and clung to the ceiling, everyone then had a good laugh, except Halo, who still slept peacefully.
