Awoken (Fanmade sequel to Rainbow Factory)
"We got another batch of useless fillies to 'take care of' today." A pegasus in a white lab coat cackled. He pulled a blood covered lever and a machine halted.
"I cant wait to get my hooves on those little rejects." Said another worker evilly, his face contorting into a menacing smile.
"What about you, Hate Seed?" The first pegasus said to a grey coated pegasus with cybernetic blade wings and a blonde mane. His eyes shared the same mellow yellow feature.
"Yeah... Sure... Whatever..." Seed replied in a depressed tone.
"Whats wrong, Hate? Lost your spirit?" Scythe asked with taunt.
"Yeah, along with all the ponies I'm forced to kill." Seed retorted.
"Leave the wimp alone, Scythe." Syphon said. Seed sighed deeply and shook his head as he walked way. No one escapes the Rainbow Factory, Seed knew this. He would be stuck here forever, killing innocent fillies and colts all for the sake of a stupid rainbow, and there was nothing he could do about it. He was born into the Rainbow Factory's line of work. He had also been born as an Earth Pony, but through intense therapy and surgery, he was made into a pegasus. During the surgery he had also been given the ability to turn his hearing and vision up and down. He flexed his cybernetic wings out and looked at them with a slight disgust.
"I am a monster..." He said to himself. He had no family, no friends... He might as well have been a machine. He walked through the place, shutting down machines for the fillies arrivals. He moved up to the platform controls for the main machine and pressed the shut down button. He began to hear the frightened squeaks and murmurs of the scared fillies. They moved to the center of the room and were looking around in terror. In the front were three braver looking ones. There was an orange filly with a dark purple mane leading all of them. She was trying to be brave, but the intense fear showed in her eyes.
"Do you know why you're here?" The 'tour' guide asked. All the fillies remained silent, fearing what might happen to them if they spoke. "Because," He clicked his tongue. "You're all a bunch of useless worms! So, we're going to treat you like them!" He said menacingly. The frightened fillies all cried out in fear. One of them spotted a light on some of the scaffolding and flew for it. A guard stopped her dead with a high voltage taser. She fell to the metallic floor with a sickening thud. Her muscles twitched as she convulsed for a few minutes, then remained painfully still. A door at the top opened and the head ponies, all outfitted in black robes that covered their entire bodies and manes, stepped out onto a balcony. Seed knew what was coming, a taunting speech to the fillies about their dire, hopeless situation. He turned his hearing off and observed the seen in silence as it unfolded before him. The orange filly in the front looked up at the boss, directly at her eyes, but the boss did not seem to notice it. Instead of fear, confusion ensued upon the small filly. He saw her say something, then the head pony made eye contact. Her violet eyes softened slightly, but then changed into a seething rage as she whipped off her black robes, revealing the beautiful cyan pegasus with a flowing rainbow mane. Seed furrowed his brow in confusion as the rainbow maned pegasus began to scream at the young filly who was shocked at the sight of Rainbow Dash. Seed was shocked by the change in his boss, she never lost her cool like that. He turned his cybernetic hearing back on in curiosity.
"You failed Cloudsdale, and worst of all, you failed me. You're dead to me, kid." The mares cocky voice filled his ears. The orange filly looked heartbroken, tears forming in her eyes as she screamed back up at Rainbow Dash.
"You won't get away with this!" She cried.
"I already have." The cyan pegasus said coldly. She nodded over at Syphon, who then flipped a switch and pulled a lever. The Cruncher, which was one of their many deadly machines, roared to life. He took control of it and used the machine to grab the grey pegasus beside the orange one. She cried out something to him, but Seed couldn't hear it over the roar of the machinery. Seed hated the Cruncher for what it did, it appalled him to no end. With a malevolent, crazed smile of insanity, Syphon pulled two levers back and forth, tossing the grey pony around and twisting his body to positions that were, under normal circumstances, impossible to make. His bones crunched and his ribs cracked as he cried out in agonized pain. The orange filly was looking at what was happening in shocked horror as silent tears streamed more frequently down her face.
"Poor little fillies." Seed muttered with sadness. The machine ground to a halt with a hiss and dropped the grey, convulsing filly to the ground.
"We find that the machine works better when the fillies bodies have been broken into a bloody pulp." Rainbow said with an evil smile. The filly ignored her as she knelt down to the grey pegasus. Seed turned his hearing up.
"Sc-Scootaloo...." The grey pegasus groaned. "I love you."
"I... I love you too." The purple maned pegasus said back. A tear slid down Seed's face. He was surprised by the sadness he felt for the little filly. He didn't think he had any emotion left in him after the years of work at the Factory. But this was to much for him. Seed turned his hearing back off and saw Rainbow nod to Scythe. The main machine awoke from its slumber and grasped the grey pegasus. He saw Scootaloo explode into tears and fall to the ground. Tears continued to stream from Seeds face and down to the cold, metallic floor below. All of the sudden, the fillies began to put on brave faces and take flight! The guards rushed in, killing a few fillies but the sheer mass of this group overwhelmed the guards and their deadly tasers. Seed's tears had stopped and were replaced with shock. Rainbow looked genuinely surprised also. Seed looked on in surprise and laughed. He turned his hearing back on as Rainbow realized what was happening.
"KILL THAT FILLY!" She screamed at the top of her lungs and pointed her hoof towards the orange filly. She sprang into action herself, flying forth and bucking fillies left and right, off the scaffolding and into the awful machine. They had all condensed to a locked door that Scootaloo was desperately trying to buck open.
"Go fillies!" Seed yelled before he was bucked in the side. He grunted as he hit the ground. He looked up, furious, from where he lie to see an psychotic Syphon ready to buck his skull in.
"What the hell, Hate? You on the fillies side now? After all these years of murder?" He asked with a icy sarcasm. A menacing, blood-thirsty smile of insanity across his face.
"You know what? I have had enough of you, Syphon!" Seed seethed, finally snapping from his quite mind. He flung a blade wing out and they slid into Syphon's chest. Syphon's face changed into a shocked silence.
"Y-you got me.... Why?" He asked, barely holding on to that ounce of life.
"Because, I'm sick of hurting, knowing its all I do. I break those around me. None are spared. I'm done with this ugly place of horror. Either today I die, or today I succeed and am freed from the Factory." Seed replied. Syphon let out a light chuckle then coughed some blood on Seed.
"Then you shall truly die..." Syphon breathed out the last word and the life faded from his sapphire eyes, leaving them a dull blue.
"Then so be it." Seed said and flung Syphon's limp body down and into the maw of the machine. Seed got back up and threw his wings outward, slinging the blood from them. He closed his wings back down to his side. "I have wanted to do that for a long time." He said as he looked back up to see Rainbow Dash was down to the last filly. A yellow filly that Seed recognized that it was the one that was on the left of Scootaloo when the fillies had arrived.
"How cute." Rainbow said as she walked slowly towards the filly, "You think you, a useless broken pile of manure, could possibly stand in my way. You really make me laugh. None of you can compete with the awesome power I have."
"Love can overcome all evils in this world." The yellow filly said bravely as Rainbow Dash stopped in front of her.
"Well then, bitch. Lets see if 'love' can overcome this one." She said in a mocking tone. She grabbed the yellow pegasus's broken wing and ripped it off. But the filly didn't scream, she just fell to the ground, grinding her teeth in pain. Wait, I have to wait, I can't take Rainbow on like this. I need the element of surprise. Seed thought grimly. He looked on in shocked horror as Rainbow Dash grabbed her by her other wing and drug her down the scaffolding. Rainbow held her over the gaping maw of the rainbow making death-trap and tore her other wing from her body. The yellow pegasus tumbled down head first. It swallowed her in one gulp and produced the most beautiful, vibrant greens and yellows Seed had ever witnessed during his time at the Factory, and he had witnessed a lot of greens and yellows. Rainbow threw her wings and bloodied body into action, roaring after the orange filly. Seed fell to the ground as Scythe tackled him down.
"Why?!" Scythe cried into Seeds face with a psychotic look on his face.
"You're new here aren't you? A new worker for the Factory." Seed asked. Scythe nodded his head. "I'll tell you why, I have built my life on judgement and causing pain, well no more! I stroked the fire of death, I have seen more pain than you can know. Tears of the broken have a habit of washing away your soul. Now, I have come to find this isn't my home. I'm awoken, and I'm taking back control!" Seed shouted and threw his wings out while he was pinned, giving him the leverage, and shock in Scythe, that he needed. He bucked Scythe off of him and gave him another good kick to the face. Scythe got up and bucked at Hate Seed, who expertly ducked, sliding under Scythe with his wings thrown up. Both half's of Scythe's lifeless body tumbled into the wretched machine. Seed had just enough time to clean his wings of the blood before more guards arrived.
"Where are Scythe and Syphon?" One of them asked.
"The fillies took them out when they rebelled. They are now part of the Equestrian skies." Seed answered with fake sadness.
"Well damn... At least we got the ring leader!" The guard said and his partner held up an unconscious orange filly. Seed's heart dropped.
"Good, But let Rainbow kill her, she'll want to." Seed said.
"She already instructed us to set her up over the pit." The guard replied. Seed simply nodded and flew over to some scaffolding opposite of the exit, with the shackled filly in between. Rainbow Dash entered the room and flew towards the filly who had awoken the second she felt Rainbow's presence in front of her.
"Any final words you miserable WHORE of a foal?" Rainbow asked with craze. This sent a pang of anger through Seed. Not yet. His brain reminded him. Scootaloo brought her chin up high, demanding even a tiny piece of dignity before death. She looked Rainbow dead in the eyes.
"You have beautiful eyes." She softly cooed. NOW! He thought and shot forward at a high speed and his cybernetic wings cut through the metal shackles that held Scootaloo. They also cut the now crimson Rainbow Dash's neck, sending blood spewing from the open wound and onto everything below. Scootaloo had flung her wings out mid-fall and caught herself. Rainbow's limp body fell from the air , leaving a trail of blood and feathers in its wake. As she fell, her vibrant eyes dulled and became a lifeless violet.
"Get them!" One guard shouted.
"We've got company!" Scootaloo cried.
"I've got them." Seed said calmly and landed. He threw his wings out at the speeding pegasus guards. The cybernetic blades shot out and ripped them apart. In a hail of shining silver and glistening crimson, it was over. New blades cam from his wings and locked into place.
"Are you alri-. You know, I'm not going to bother with stupid questions. You're alive, and that's all that matters. Lets get you home, to your parents. They will be relieved that you're alive." Seed said. Scootaloo looked down with sadness in her eyes.
"I don't have any parents... I'm an orphan." She said
"Well then..." Seed paused for a second, thinking, then looked back up at Scootaloo. "I sure am relieved that you're alive." He said with a smile. Scootaloo smiled as she got what he was saying. They left that awful place, and forgot everything about it, save for the screams that haunted them and the horrid dreams that remained.
