Chapters It All Begins With a Spark
The Birth of Creative Spark
CHAPTER 1
Sunrise Sky, a light-orange pegasus mare with a red mane and blue eyes, walked over to the couch in her living room. She got onto the couch and carefully made herself comfortable, she had been pregnant and was expected to give birth soon.
As she finished getting settled in she looked down at her slightly larger midsection and smiled, "You're a real hassle to your mommy, do you know that little one?" she asked jokingly with a giggle as she rubbed her belly and smiled.
She began thinking of everything she and her husband would do with their new foal, who for the moment was of an unknown gender because Sunrise and her husband, Sky-blue Waters, had decided they wanted to keep it a surprise.
At that moment Sky-blue Waters walked through the front door of their home, he smiled when he saw his wife sitting on the couch, "Hey Sunrise, how are you and the baby doing?" he asked as he walked over to the couch and sat down next to his wife.
Sky-blue Waters was a light-blue pegasus stallion with a blonde mane and green eyes. He was just returning home from working with the weather ponies. Sunrise Sky didn't really know that much about weather control, other than cloud busting. She had been given time off work because she was pregnant and would not be able to work at her peak efficiency while laden with a foal. Sunrise Sky's employers had also made arrangements for after she gave birth, she work the early morning weather shifts while her husband took the late night shifts, that way the two of them would always get to spend the day together with their baby.
"I'm good, how was your work today?" Sunrise Sky asked.
"It was pretty uneventful, you've got to remember that not many interesting things happen in the weather control business." Sky-blue Waters explained to his wife.
"No kidding, but I suppose that's not always a bad thing, That way I'll always know that you're going to come home alright." Sunrise said giving a small chuckle before hugging her husband.
"Yeah, and it's not as enjoyable without you there." Sky-blue Waters said putting his foreleg around his wife's shoulders and giving her a small kiss on the cheek.
Sunrise Sky smiled, "Let's get something to eat, our foal usually kicks when it's time to eat." she said.
"Sounds good to me, I'll take you out to eat at the best restaurant in Baltimare." Sky-blue said.
"You're so sweet." Sunrise replied.
"It's only because I'm so in love with you, now lets get going." Sky-blue said.
The pair of ponies then readied themselves for their night out and left for the restaurant.
***
When the happy pony couple left the restaurant it was late in the evening, and Sunrise Sky was pretty tired even though she was usually a night-owl, despite her name which suggested she was probably a morning pony ,which was also true.
"That was wonderful, I can't believe we've never been there before." Sunrise Sky said as she and her husband walked back into their house.
"I knew you'd like it." Sky-blue replied
"I think I'm going to hit the hay early tonight, I feel really tired." Sunrise said
"Alright sweety, I'll be up to bed later, you just make sure that you get good and rested." Sky-blue said.
"OK, well goodnight then." Sunrise said before ascending the stairs to the bedroom.
" 'night." Sky-blue said back to her.
As Sunrise Sky readied herself for bed, the foal inside her womb kicked, causing her to let out a quiet, surprised yelp.
"Ah! I know it's bedtime, settle down." Sunrise said softly.
A short time later she had nestled herself into bed and fell fast asleep almost instantly.
***
Late that night, Sunrise Sky awoke with a start, bolting straight up in bed. In the process she had woken Sky-blue Waters, and nearly knocked him off of the bed. Sunrise looked at the clock on the bedside table, It was three o'clock in the morning.
"Hey, what's wrong, honey?" Sky-blue Waters asked, still half asleep.
"I don't know, I think it might something with the baby." Sunrise Sky said before wrapping her forelegs around her belly and leaning forward with a look of pain on her face.
Sky-blue Waters instantly shook off his drowsiness when he saw his wife in pain and immediately went to her side to help her. Sunrise Sky let out a quiet scream of pain before falling onto her back, Sky-blue Waters instantly went over to his wife lifting her slightly with his forelegs.
"Get help." Sunrise Sky said before passing out.
Sky-blue Waters was instantly on his feet scooping up his wife and quickly flying out the door of their home and flying, top speed, to the Hospital. The only thought on his mind was helping his wife and their baby, no matter the cost. His wife meant the world to him, and his foal would be no different.
***
Sky-blue Waters flew through the hospital doors at top speed, carrying his wife in his forelegs. He rushed over to one of the couches in the waiting room and gently set Sunrise Sky down, he then bolted over to the main desk where a surprised nurse stood.
The nurse quickly regained her composure, "Excuse me sir, but..." the nurse began before being cut off by Sky-blue Waters
"You need to get a doctor right away, it's an emergency, my wife is pregnant and we're afraid that something may be wrong with either her or the baby, please get help!" Sky-blue Waters said worriedly.
"Right away sir, just stay here with your wife, I'll be back with a doctor as quickly as possible." the nurse said completely disregarding all of her previous thoughts and Running at full gallop to get a doctor.
Sky-blue Waters went back over to his wife and sat down next to her, stroking his hoof through her mane, "Don't worry sweety, help is on it's way." he said comfortingly to his still unconscious wife.
A few moments later a doctor, two nurses, and the nurse from the front desk, came running into the waiting room, the two of new nurses were carrying a stretcher. The nurse from the front desk and the doctor quickly but carefully lifted his wife onto the stretcher they then took Sky-blue Waters and Sunrise Sky into one of the hospital rooms.
"You're her husband, correct?" The doctor asked Sky-blue Waters.
"Yes, please tell me you can help her." Sky-blue said worriedly.
"I will do everything in my power to help your wife, sir, but I need you to tell me what happened first." the doctor replied reassuringly, putting a hoof on Sky-blue's shoulder.
Sky-blue Waters did his best to calm himself before telling the doctor the story of what brought him to the hospital.
When Sky-blue finished his story the doctor nodded his understanding, "I see, have there been any other problems recently?" he asked
"Not that I'm aware of, but from what I've told you what do you think is wrong with my wife?" Sky-blue Waters asked anxiously, still fairly worried about his wife.
"It might be that she is going into labor, but just having trouble adjusting to it, that's a common occurrence." the doctor explained.
"She's what?!" Sky-blue Waters exclaimed with a mix of disbelief and excitement, disbelief was the more dominant of the two.
"She's going into labor Mr. Waters, now I must insist that you wait outside." the doctor said again.
Sky-blue Waters couldn't believe it, his disbelief changing into happiness and excitement. He was finally about to see his first foal, the foal that had been dominating most of his thoughts for the past months, and he was eager to meet the addition to the household.
***
A while later, Sky-blue Waters was summoned by a nurse into the room where his wife had been taken a long while ago, he was filled with excitement and nervousness at the same time. As he walked through the door he was greeted by his wife who was laying on a bed in a hospital gown and holding a small bundle.
Sky-blue Waters walked over to his wife's side, "Hey, how are you doing?" he asked softly, just-in-case the baby was sleeping.
"Better, a lot better really." Sunrise Sky replied.
Sky-blue Waters shifted his gaze from his wife to the small bundle in her hooves, "So, is it a filly or a colt?" he asked.
"It's a colt, happy and healthy." Sunrise Sky said.
Sunrise Sky shifted her left hoof to pull down the part of the blanket that covered the head of the baby. When she had pulled the blanket off of it's head completely Sky-blue Waters smiled at his new son, who turned out to be awake and also smiled back. The foal had a purple coat, a little fluff of a mane that was blonde, just like his father's, and blue eyes like his mother's.
Sunrise Sky lifted her foal in her hooves up to her husband, "Here, hold your new son, let him get to know his daddy" she said.
Sky-blue Waters scooped up his son in his forelegs and held him in a cradling manner. When he brought the foal up to his body it immediately snuggled into him.
"Aww , that's right little one, I'm your daddy." Sky-blue Waters said.
Sky-blue placed the foal back into Sunrise's lap, and smiled at her, his wife returned the smile. Sky-blue Waters looked out the window of the room and saw that the sun was beginning to rise, and immediately he moved his wife's bed over to the window so that they could enjoy the sunrise together as they did every morning, and now they had their son with them to joi in the tradition.
Sunrise Sky shifted her gaze to her husband, "What should we name him?" she asked.
Sky-blue Waters thought about the question for a moment and then answered, "How about Creative Spark?" he said.
Sunrise considered the name, "I like that." she said and looked down at the foal in her lap, "Welcome to the world Creative Spark."
The foal, newly dubbed Creative Spark, looked up at his mother and smiled, as if he accepted the name. Creative Spark snuggled into his mother then, letting out a little yawn, he fell asleep.

CHAPTER 2
The stay at the hospital was short, but even so Sunrise Sky and Sky-blue Waters were overly eager to return home with with their new foal, Creative Spark, who was once again asleep in his mothers forelegs. The two new parents walked down the hallway to the hospital exit, but before they got to the door they were stopped by an earth pony in a smart-looking suit.
"Excuse me, sir, could I have a moment of your time please?" the earth pony asked Sky-blue Waters.
Sky-blue looked over to his wife.
"It's fine, I'll just go sit down." Sunrise said slowly flying over to one the chairs in the waiting room.
Sky-blue Waters then turned back to the other pony, "Alright so what's this about?" he asked.
"I am here to offer you a new line of work in the group that I represent." the pony said as though he had rehearsed line many times.
"What is this group called?" Sky-blue asked.
"We call ourselves The Organization." the pony said plainly.
Sky-blue Waters searched his memory for the name "I can't say that I've ever heard of you before." he said.
"Not many have, but we like it that way." the pony replied.
"What would my work entitle?" Sky-blue asked now pretty curious.
"I can't reveal any information on that, unless you agree to join." the pony said.
Sky-blue Waters was now a little suspicious of what the pony was offering him, the jobs he have to perform would undoubtedly be something that he would be unable to back down from, and he didn't like the thought of that. Not wanting to to show his suspicion, Sky-blue kept a calm expression, "I'll have to think about it, and now really isn't a good time, my wife just gave birth." he said motioning to his wife.
"Very well, we will approach you in the future Mr. Waters, have a nice day." the pony said before turning and walking out the door.
Sky-blue Waters walked over his wife to start leaving, but his previous excitement was replaced by suspicion.
***
Sky-blue Waters held the door to the house open for Sunrise Sky and Creative Spark.
"Here we are little one, home-sweet-home." Sunrise Sky said gently nuzzling Creative Spark to wake him up.
Creative Spark rubbed his eyes with his tiny hooves before letting out a small yawn and looking at his new surroundings.
"This is your new home, how do you like it?" Sunrise Sky asked smiling at the foal in her hooves.
As if to answer, Creative Spark looked up at his mother, and his father behind her, smiled.
"Aww , Yeah I think you like it, don't you little Sparky?" Sunrise said giggling as she tickled Creative Spark under his chin, causing him to start giggling again.
"Sparky?" Sky-blue Waters asked with a smirk.
"Well I like it, and I think he does too, don't you Sparky?" Sunrise Sky said cooing to the baby she held and tickling him some more.
Sky-blue Waters watched and eventually began to feel left-out "Can I hold him again?" he asked.
"Sure, here you go, over to daddy little one." Sunrise Sky said passing Creative Spark over to Sky-blue Waters.
Sky-blue cradled Creative Spark smiling at him and getting a tiny smile form his son as well. He nuzzled his son gently, and Creative Spark hugged his fathers face, making both he and his wife smile..
"Aww , I love you too." Sky-blue Waters said before passing Creative Spark back to his wife.
Sky-blue Waters smiled at his wife and son then he had an idea, "Why don't we show him around the house?" he asked.
"I think that's a great idea." Sunrise Sky said.
***
Once their tour of the house was completed, the three ponies went back to the living room. Sunrise Sky sat on the couch cradling Creative Spark, who was now sucking on a pacifier, while Sky-blue Waters had his foreleg around her shoulders watching the baby in his wife's arms.
"He's just so cute when he gives you one his little smiles," Sunrise commented as she drew Creative Spark in for a hug.
"Yeah, but he eats like a horse, and changing time is anything but cute and fun." Sky-blue Waters said.
"I know, but it's all worth it for him, I would give the world for him." Sunrise said.
At that moment there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get it." Sky-blue said getting up and walking to the door. When he opened the door he was surprised, and a bit uneasy, to see the earth pony from the hospital.
"Have you made your decision?" the pony asked before Sky-blue could say anything.
Sky-blue Waters sighed, "No I have not decided if I want to take the job yet, as I told you at the hospital my wife just gave birth and I am adjusting to life as a new father." he said, he was a little annoyed at the pushiness of the group that was trying to hire him.
The pony didn't seem to register what Sky-blue had just said, "We must have your decision as soon as possible." he said plainly.
"Look, I have other priorities at the moment." Sky-blue Waters said to the pony.
The pony sighed, "Alright mister Waters." he said before walking off.
Sky blue Shook his head before closing the door and walking back to the living room.
Sunrise Sky looked over at him, "Who was that?" she asked.
"It was that same pony from the hospital earlier today, trying to offer me job." Sky-blue said.
"What's the job?" Sunrise asked.
"I don't know he said he couldn't tell me unless I took the job." Sky-blue said shrugging.
Sunrise raised her eyebrow at this, but shrugged, "Well, let's just get back to being a family for now." she said with a smile.

CHAPTER 3
It was the middle of the night when Sky-blue Waters heard a sound coming from downstairs. He looked over his shoulder and found his wife was still asleep, which meant she wasn't giving Creative Spark, who was also asleep in his crib next to the bed, one of his late-night feedings. He got out of bed, careful not to wake his wife, and went downstairs to investigate the sound he had just heard. He reached the bottom of stairs and saw something move quickly across the living room.
"Who's there?!" he called out to whatever, or whoever, he had seen.
Whoever it was certainly knew how to stay quietly hidden, but that would only help them for so long. Sky-blue Waters squinted into the darkness trying to make out any shapes or movement. Suddenly he saw something, it looked like a pony, but the silhouette lacked the shape of a mane. Sky-blue Waters flew towards it.
"I've got you." Sky-blue said as he hit and grabbed whatever it was.
Thing let out an oof as Sky-blue tackled it to the ground. The thing struggled to free itself, but Sky-blue had it pinned.
"Who are you, why are you here?!" Sky-blue demanded
"That's none of you business!" The thing, Sky-blue knew it was a pony now but it was wearing a mask, replied in a male's voice.
"I think it is my business, considering that you broke into my home." Sky-blue stated.
The pony stopped struggling, "Look, I didn't want this job once I knew what it meant doing, but if I tell you they might kill me." he said.
"Who?" Sky-blue asked.
"The Organization." the pony replied before landing his knee into Sky-blue's stomach, allowing him to get free.
***
Sky-blue Waters laid on the floor clutching his gut. Sunrise Sky had heard all of the commotion and gone down to her husband.
"Are you alright, what happened?" Sunrise asked.
Sky-blue Waters sat up with some effort, "I'll be fine, but we need to leave. Gather everything we'll need to stay in hiding for awhile." he said.
"What, why?" Sunrise asked worriedly.
"Remember the job offer I got, well apparently they're not too keen on taking no for an answer." Sky-blue said.
Sunrise nodded, "Alright, I'll get everything ready. You go get Creative Spark from his crib." Sunrise said.
"Right." Sky-blue said before flying upstairs to get his son.
Sky-blue picked up Creative Spark and frowned as he looked at him, "I never wanted this for you kiddo, I'm sorry." he said to his sleeping son, and then he went to the room where his wife was preparing for their departure.
***
Three Months Later
After months of being in hiding, Sky-blue Waters and Sunrise Sky, along with Creative Spark, found a log cabin in the woods near the town of Tall Tale. They had looked for the owners, but found nopony. It had most certainly been abandoned for quite some time, but it would have to serve as their lodging for the time being.
"Well, I wouldn't call this place five star , but I guess it will do." Sunrise said sarcastically.
"It's the best we've had in a while." Sky-blue Waters replied.
"I suppose, but it could definitely do with a good cleaning." Sunrise said as she walked through the entrance.
It was about eight o'clock at night when the family had finished making the house comfortable for them.
As the had done for every night since they left their home in Baltimare, Sunrise Sky and Sky-blue Waters took Creative Spark out to look at the stars, They had found that their son liked looking at the stars and so they made it an occasion each night.
"Look at those ones Sparky." Sunrise Sky said pointing at a group of stars to direct the attention of Creative Spark over in that direction.
"He sure loves the stars, doesn't he?" Sky-blue said ruffling his son's hair causing Creative Spark to giggle.
At that moment five ponies wearing black clothes and masks, jumped out of the bushes near the house forming a line. Sky-blue Waters moved in front of his wife to protect her.
"Surrender, or we will be forced to harm you." the pony to the immediate left from the center said to them.
"Yeah, that's not gonna happen." Sky-blue said getting into a fighting crouch, ready to defend his family.
The masked pony at the center of the group stepped forward, "Mister Waters, you have evaded us for long enough, kindly come with us." he said.
Sky-blue narrowed his eyes, he knew e voice of the stallion in front of him, it was yet again the pony from the hospital. "You again, huh, don't your employers have anyone better to send?" Sky-blue asked taunting him.
The pony snarled, apparently he had a short temper under his business-like personality. "Get them!" he called to his underlings.
The two ponies on the far right and left burst forward. Sky-blue flew towards the closest one and landed a punch to his face, the pony fell, unconscious, to the ground. The second pony tackled Sky-blue to the ground.
"Get out of here, go as fast as you can, and get out of here!" Sky-blue yelled to his wife as he struggled with the pony on top of him.
Sunrise did as her husband said and flew off with Creative Spark.
The lead pony shook his head, "You two, go after her." he ordered to the remaining ponies at his side.
They did as they were ordered and went in pursuit of Sunrise.
"NO!" Sky-blue Waters exclaimed before headbutting the pony on top of him, throwing him off and kicking him in the side of the head. The pony fell to the ground, blood coming out of his head. Once that was done, Sky-blue raced off in the direction of his wife, but he was knocked off course, and into the ground by the lead pony.
'How did he get to me that fast? ' Sky-blue thought to himself. when he looked over to the pony he saw that his enemy now had wings, he was shocked by this, he swore that the other pony had been an earth pony.
"You look surprised, mister Waters, haven't you ever seen a changeling change it's body structure before?" the pony asked before laughing. he then rushed over to Sky-blue and knocked him unconscious.
***
Sunrise Sky flew as fast as she could, carrying her son Creative Spark, away from the masked ponies that had attacked them. She knew that some had followed her, but she was faster than them, she was a mother and there was nothing more dangerous, or determined, than when you threaten a mother's child. Sunrise looked in every direction for a place to hide, but she couldn't find a place big enough for both her and her baby. Sunrise sighed as she made the realization that she would have to abandon her baby.
Sunrise found a hollowed tree stump that was big enough to cover Creative Spark, she placed him there quickly, "Stay here, Sparky, I'll be back, I promise. Mommy loves you." she said, and as she finished her statement a tear rolled down her cheek. Sunrise then flew at top speed away from her son's hiding place drawing her pursuers away from her baby with a heavy heart, knowing that might not be able to keep her promise to come back for him.
Sunrise flew as fast as could but she was eventually caught, the pony who had her in his grasp was the right hand colt of the group who had attacked her and her husband, he lowered his mouth to her ear, "I'm so sorry." he whispered in a solemn tone, it was the same voice of the colt that broke into their home three months ago. she stopped struggling in his grip and went along with her captors, at least she had kept her baby safe.
***
Creative Spark sat in the place that his mother had put him, even though he was still a young foal he knew to listen to his mother and father, he was going to wait in that exact spot and wait for his mother to return. An hour passed, then two, Creative Spark fell asleep thinking that his mother was just taking her time, she had told him that she would come back and she always did. She never left him alone for too long. As Creative Spark slept the night passed into the early morning but his mother hadn't returned, but somepony else just happened to be passing by and noticed him.
It All Begins With a Spark
CHAPTER 4
Azure Bliss, a light blue unicorn mare with an aqua colored, braided mane and tail and Yellow eyes, was walking back to her home in Van Hoover from Tall Tale, she had decide to walk through the woods for a change of pace from her usual route. As she walked she couldn't help herself from admiring the scenery around her. She was looking at a flower that she had never seen before when she heard a noise. Azure Bliss couldn't quite describe what the noise she heard sounded like, and being curious as she was she decided to investigate. She began looking all around the trees nearest to her and moved on from there, she eventually found the place where the sound seemed to be coming from, it was a hollow tree stump. Azure Bliss looked around one side of the tree stump and her jaw dropped, in front of her sat a sleeping foal, she moved back a step out of surprise and one of her hooves hit a dry twig. The foal yawned, Azure silently cursed herself, the foal awoke completely looked around and then up at her, he looked frightened.
"Hi there, it's OK, I won't hurt you little one." Azure Said trying to reassure the foal.
The foal kept it's gaze on her; her reassurance didn't have much of an effect on it, it was still frightened.
"Where's your mommy and daddy little one?" she asked attempting to be friendly and reassuring once more.
The foal looked around quickly when she said this, when it saw nothing it became sad.
Azure frowned, 'Oh, he must have gotten lost, or abandoned,' she thought.
"Come here little one, let's get you out of here." azure said reaching out with one hoof to grab to the foal.
The foal scooted away from Azure. She tried grabbing him again, but the foal continued to back away.
"Come on, I'm trying to help you." Azure said getting a little frustrated.
The foal didn't seem to believe her.
After trying once more to grab the foal Azure succeeded. The foal struggled to remove itself from her grip, but couldn't get out, he then started to cry.
'Oh great, now I've done it.' Azure thought to herself.
Azure was about to cast a sleeping spell on the foal when he landed a kick on her chest causing her horn to connect with his head. The foal fell asleep but not in the way Azure was hoping for.
"Oh no, that's not what I meant to do" she said.
She nervously thought of a way out of this but came up with nothing, eventually deciding to put the foal in her saddlebag and going to see her instructor, he would be the best to ask in this instance. Azure Bliss noticed a rolled-up piece of paper tucked into the blanket that was wrapped around the foal. Azure looked at it curiously before realizing that it was a birth certificate, she decided that she would look at it later, right now she needed to get to her instructor's house.
***
Azure Bliss was nervous as she went to see her magic instructor, carrying the foal she found in the forest. Her teacher had always been strict with his teachings, but was a kind pony, and he had warned her never to use her hidden talent , even though she knew how to counteract it. She didn't know what he'd think, or if he would even understand, she was so nervous that she nearly lost her last meal. When she finally reached her instructor's house and knocked on the door she was actually hoping that he wouldn't answer, but he did, he opened the door with a smile, he was an older unicorn with a tan coat and gray mane.
"Good morning to you Azure, what brings you?" he asked.
"Please don't be mad at me, I had no choice, and I had to do something, I couldn't just do nothing!" Azure blurted out quickly.
"Whoa, whoa, slow down Azure, now calmly tell me what happened." he said putting a hoof on her shoulder.
Azure took a few deep breathes before responding, "OK, but you have to promise not to yell, or get mad at me." she said.
Her instructor raised an eyebrow, but nodded.
"OK, so I had to use my talent , on this little guy here." She said as she angled herself to show her instructor the sleeping foal she had placed in her saddlebag.
Her instructors eyes went wide, then he gave her a stern look, "For what purpose did you use it on a baby?" he asked with a slight edge to his voice.
"I had no choice; he was all alone in the forest, and he wouldn't let take him from where he was so I had to use it. I was not about to leave an innocent foal to fend for itself." Azure said.
Her instructor put a hoof to his face and sighed, "I commend you for your resolve, but there must have been some other way." he said.
"I tried everything, he just refused to let me pick him up, if there was another way I would have gladly used it." Azure said.
Her instructor shook his head, "Alright, but why did you come to me?" he asked.
"Because you're the the only pony that I know I can trust if I need help." Azure replied.
Her instructor simply nodded, "Ah, I see. Alright I will help you with whatever you need." he said.
"You will?!" Azure said beaming.
He stopped her before she could continue, knowing how long her 'thank yous' were, "But you must now take care of this foal, since you felt it was your duty." he said finishing his previous statement.
Azure's previous glee faded, she thought about what her instructor had just said. When she had thought everything through she gave her answer, "Yes, I will." she said confidently.
"Good, now go home, you have a lot to do." He said.
***
After returning to her home with the baby Azure Bliss was a bit nervous, she had always wanted a foal of her own, but she wasn't expecting one to just be dropped in her lap all at once. Azure made a list, and went into town to find everything she would need to care for a foal.
"Alright that should be everything." she said as she finished her list.
Azure had turned one of her old saddlebags into a makeshift baby carrier, and put the foal inside. She went to every store and found all of the necessities: bottles, diapers, a pacifier, an actual baby carrier, and baby food. She had also purchased a crib and a highchair that would be delivered to her house later that day.
"Alright, that should do it, bring it on motherhood." Azure said.
It All Begins With a Spark
This Can't be Happening... Again?
CHAPTER 6
A twelve year old Creative Spark, sat in the hospital room next to his mother, Azure Bliss, who was laying in a hospital bed. Azure's sickness was taking it's toll, the doctors had told Creative that she was most likely going to die. He didn't want to believe it, he had done so much for his mother and through helping her had earned his cutie mark, she couldn't die now, but deep in his heart he knew that the doctors might be right. He put his hoof into the hoof of his sleeping mother, she had always been right beside him when he was sick in bed at home, now he was determined to return the favor, he would not leave his mother's side. After a few minutes Azure's eye's opened, and she looked over over at Creative.
"Well hello there Creative." Azure said with a smile.
Hey, how are you feeling today?" Creative asked.
"I'm fine, how long have you been there?" Azure asked.
"Almost three hours." Creative replied.
"You know you don't have to stay by my all the time, right?" Azure asked.
"But I want to." Creative said adamantly.
Azure frowned, "You've heard what the doctors have been saying, is that it?" she asked.
"That's a part of it, but I can't just leave my mother." Creative said with a kind smirk.
Azure frowned when Creative said the word mother , "Creative, there's something I need to tell you before I'm gone." she said solemnly as she hung her head.
"Don't talk like that..." Creative began to say before his mother placed her hoof to his lips.
Creative sighed, "What is it?" Creative Spark asked.
"Come close to me." Azure said,
Creative Spark leaned in close to his mother, expecting her to whisper something in his ear.
"Please don't hate me." Azure said.
Creative Spark was confused by what she said and looked at her with a raised eyebrow, he then noticed that her horn was glowing with magic before she touched it to his forehead.
***
Creative Spark opened his eyes, he now had a headache. Creative put a hoof to his temple rubbing his forehead gently trying to ease the pain of his headache. When the pain subsided, Creative took a look at his surroundings, he realized that he was no longer in the hospital room with his mother. This room was inhabited by a doctor and three nurses gathered around a hospital bed. Creative was curious, there were never this many medical personnel to care for his mother, then it hit him, had he fallen asleep in the chair at his mother's side, had she died while he slept?
Creative Spark frantically tried to shift his vision over to where the doctor and nurses stood, "What happened, what are you doing here?" he asked in a panicked tone, Creative was surprised to heard his voice echo in a dream-like kind of sound.
The medical staff didn't take notice of Creative, they just continued with whatever they were doing. Creative rolled his eyes in annoyance and decided to try and see for himself what was happening. Creative found that he couldn't move, it wasn't like he was paralyzed though because every once in a while he would feel his limbs move, Creative relaxed thinking that maybe the feeling would pass. Creative's perspective changed again, he realized he now only had a very limited visibility, he also felt as though he was being carried.
"Here you are Miss Sky." said a voice that Creative could not determine the location of, as he was shifted into a new position.
"Thank you, could you bring my husband in here, please?" said another voice, presumably the one previously called 'Miss Sky', the voice seemed so familiar as if he had heard a thousand times before.
Creative heard the sound of a door opening then closing, and after a few minutes the sound repeated.
"Hey, how are you doing?" Creative heard a Stallion's voice say.
"Better, a lot better really." the voice of Miss Sky responded to the question.
"So, is it a filly or a colt?" creative heard the stallion ask.
Creative Spark was confused and began to mentally ask himself questions, where was he, who were these ponies whose voices he could hear, and why could he still not move? All of a sudden his vision was cleared , he blinked a few time to adjust to the light, he could now see the faces of the ponies standing over him, one was a light-orange pegasus mare with a red mane, presumably Miss Sky, and the other was a light-blue stallion with a blonde mane. They both looked down at him smiling, he felt himself smile back. He felt as though he knew these two ponies, but he didn't know why it felt that way. After a little more conversation between the two ponies Creative notice that the stallion began to move the bed toward the window of the room, it was then that he noticed the sunrise, it was beautiful.
"What should we name him?" he heard the mare ask.
"How about Creative Spark?" he heard the the stallion say.
Creative Spark's eyes went wide with horror, he realized what was going on now, he was witnessing the day he was born.
***
Creative Spark went through three months of his life within a matter of minutes. He took a few steps back for the hospital bed were azure was laying. Creative held a hoof to his head as everything came back in a rush. His back hit the wall and slid down into a sitting position, putting both of his fore hooves to his eyes. Creative sobbed as he remember everything that he had forgotten, no he hadn't forgotten; it had been taken from him.
"What was that?" he asked, though he thought he knew.
"It was a memory spell." Azure replied.
"Why, what was it that I just saw?" Creative asked.
"The truth." Azure said plainly.
Creative didn't want to believe what had happened, but he knew that it was part of who he was, and he knew that.
"Why did you keep this from me?!" Creative asked.
Azure just frowned, "I thought you might react this way, and I'm prepared." she said.
"Why did you keep this from me?!" Creative repeated.
"Because I loved you, I didn't want you to think less of me for not being your real mother."
Creative could think of nothing to say, all he could do at that moment was be angry. He went to the door to the room and left. Creative needed to let off some steam, and think about what he now knew. As soon as he left the hospital, Creative spread his wings and took to the sky, flying always seemed to give him a rush to alleviate his troubled mind when he was incredibly overwhelmed, otherwise when he was calm he would have just walked. Creative flew into the woods near Vanhoover, he always felt at peace in natural settings, he thought it might help now. He found a clearing and landed, he proceeded to walk the rest of the time. Creative walked for half an hour before stopping, he found a tree stump to sit on and think. He had been sitting there for several minutes before noticing something between the trees in front of him, he didn't know what it was, but it seemed like a sort of building. Creative went over to investigate the dwelling and found that it was a cabin, a flash of pain went through his head as more memories came to him which were triggered by the cabin. He recognized it now, it was the last place he had been with his mother and father, it looked exactly as had all those years ago. Creative went to the door of the cabin and opened it. The inside was covered in cobwebs, like the day he and his parents first saw it, he looked around and noticed two makeshift beds and beside it, a makeshift crib... his crib. Creative went over to the beds, he noticed that there were two saddlebags not far away from them. Creative opened the saddlebag on the left first, from it's contents he assumed that it had belonged to his mother. He opened the next beg, his father's, and found a camera, a notebook, a small tool kit, and a picture. Creative took out the picture, it showed His father, mother, and himself as a young foal, in the picture they were all smiling. Creative felt a tear roll down his cheek, before placing the picture back into the bag. Creative picked up both of the saddlebags and left the cabin.
***
After taking the saddlebags he found in the cabin back to the house he and Azure had shared, he returned to the hospital and went to the room that Azure was in. Azure looked up as Creative entered, but said nothing to him. Creative went over and hugged her. She was surprised when he did this but eventually accepted the gesture.
"Thank you." Creative said.
"For what?" Azure asked not understanding his reasoning.
"Everything, you took me in and cared for me like I was your real son, anypony else would probably have just gave me to an orphanage." Creative replied.
Azure hugged Creative right back, "I would never have done that to anypony." she said.
"I know,.. mom." Creative said a tear going down his cheek.
"I thought you would hate me and never speak to me again." Azure said.
"I have no reason to do that." Creative said with a smile.
***
The days after the truth had been revealed to him, Creative Spark had stayed at his adoptive mother's side. Though telling creative her secret seemed to help Azure, she eventually died one night, days later, peacefully in her sleep.
It All Begins With a Spark
CHAPTER 7
Azure's funeral was a modest affair, lots of ponies attended, mostly Creative's friends and the friends of his adoptive mother. There was, however, one pony that stuck out to Creative, he was an old light-brown unicorn stallion with a grey mane. after the funeral, Creative went back to the home of Azure Bliss, he reminisced in the memories the house held. Creative was looking at a picture of he and Azure when a knock came at the door. Creative opened the door and, to his surprise, the unicorn stallion that he had noticed at the funeral.
"Excuse me, you are Creative Spark are you not?" the unicorn asked him.
"Yes, and who might you be?" Creative said in return.
The stallion chuckled to himself, "Forgive me, I forgot the I had not properly introduced myself to you, I was your... mother's magic instructor." he said with a smile.
Creative noticed that he paused before he said the word 'mother', "You knew too, didn't you?" Creative said.
The unicorns smile fell, "So she did fulfill her word, yes I knew, I was the first one she turned to after she found you." he explained.
Creative nodded, "I see, she said you were almost like a father to her." Creative Spark said.
The unicorn in front of him nodded, "Yes, believe it or not, she was abused by her her family as a young filly. She would often knock on my door after some of the incidents, she would run in, wrap her hooves around me, and cry into my shoulder." he said, a small tear, almost unnoticeable rolled down his cheek.
"She never mentioned that, but she always spoke highly of you, and told me that I should try my best to pass on the kindness that you showed her." Creative said.
The unicorn nodded, once more a few nearly unnoticeable tears on his cheek, "She would say that, yes." he said.
"I know you miss her, but I don't think you came here just to give me your condolences." Creative said.
"You're correct, I didn't, I came here to tell you something important." he said.
Creative raised his eyebrow, "What is it?" he asked curiously.
The unicorn took a deep breathe, "After Azure brought you to me, I decided to look into the disappearance of your parents. I found the cabin and investigated it, I believe I know who it was that attacked you and your parents years ago." he said.
Creative Spark became anxious and leaned forward intently, "Who was it, tell me." he said.
The unicorn looked unsure whether or not he should, but decide he would, "They call themselves The Organization." he said plainly.
Creative locked the name into his mind, he would find them at whatever the cost, "Thank you." Creative said as he give a smile.
The unicorn noticed his smile, and sighed, "I know that look, what do you plan to do with what I've told you?" he asked though he probably already knew the answer.
"If I find these ponies you'll know, so will all of Equestria." Creative said.
The unicorn sighed, "Very well, you will do what you feel you must, goodbye." he said before leaving.
Creative Spark closed the door, and began to plan out his course of action. He would have to leave Vanhoover behind, he may return someday, but he had to find the group known as The Organization first.
He packed up his parents' saddlebags with everything he might need, and he left saying one last goodbye to the place he grew-up in.
***
Creative traveled from from place to place gathering information about The Organization, he wanted to know all he could about them before actually going after them. His journey took him to ever city and town in Equestria, the years went by and he acquired small tidbits of knowledge, but usually nothing more than that. Eventually he reached a village called Ponyville, he was twenty-one years old now, and had given up on ever finding The Organization or his parents. He thought that if he couldn't find the answers he was looking for, then he would settle down in a peaceful place, and Ponyville seemed like the place. Creative looked around taking in the view, this was the town where the elements of harmony resided, or at least their wielders did, creative remembered reading something about that in a newspaper. Creative walked over to a building with a sign above that read:
"Sugarcube Corner
Creative decided to temp fate and enter the establishment. Upon entering, a bell announced his arrival and a light-blue earth pony mare with a swirled, pink mane came to the counter, from what he assumed was the kitchen. She wore a yellow apron embroidered with pink lace.
"Well, hello there, welcome to Sugarcube Corner, my name is Cupcake." the earth pony said.
Creative Spark smiled, he had always heard good things about Ponyville, "Hello, my name is Creative Spark, I'm new here, just arrived." he said.
"Well what brings you?" Cupcake asked.
"I came here to relax and take my mind off things." Creative replied.
"Well then, you've come to the right town." Cupcake said with a chuckle.
"That's good to hear." Creative said.
Cupcake shook her head, "Oh my, what am I doing, you must be here for some sweets aren't you?" she asked.
Creative considered it, "Sure, I'll have some chocolate chip cookies please." he said.
"Coming right up." Cupcake said, before going into the kitchen.
A short time later Cupcake and another pony, this one a yellowish earth pony stallion with orange hair, wearing a hat and whit apron, came out of the kitchen with a bag of what he guessed were cookies.
"Here you you go deary, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies." Cupcake said cheerfully.
"Thanks." Creative Spark said as he paid for the cookies.
"This is my husband, Carrot Cake." Cupcake said gesturing to the stallion.
"Hey there, buddy." Carrot Cake said extending a hoof.
Creative took the other's hoof in his own, "I'm Creative Spark, nice to meet you." he said.
"Have you run into Pinkie Pie yet?" Carrot Cake asked.
"No I haven't, why?" Creative asked.
The ponies in front of Creative exchanged a look, "Because then she'll probably run into you." Cupcake said.
Just then a pink pony with exceptionally curly hair entered the bakery. He assumed this was Pinkie Pie, before he could ask either Cupcake or Carrot Cake if his suspicions were correct he felt himself being tackled. A pink blur was the only thing that he saw, then Creative was able to make out the form as the pink pony he saw enter just a second before.
"Oh goodness." He heard Cupcake say.
"Heeelllloooooo, new friend!" the pink pony said, as she stood over him.
Creative blinked a couple of times, "Um, hi. I'm going to venture a guess in saying that you're Pinkie Pie." He said calmly, despite what just happened.
"Yes indeedy, that's me." Pinkie said beaming.
He remembered what Cupcake had said about Pinkie running into him, but he didn't think she was being literal.
"Can you wait here for a second?" Pinkie asked still standing over him.
"Uh, sure, I guess." Creative said.
"Great!" Pinkie exclaimed before rushing off in another blur of pink.
Creative attempted to sit himself up, but before he got all the way upright, he noticed Pinkie's aqua-blue eyes staring into his,"I'm back!" Pinkie said.
"Gyah! How did you do that?!" Creative asked shocked.
"Do what?" Pinkie asked puzzled.
Creative Spark shook his head, "Never mind, now what were you going to do?" he asked not sure if he wanted to know anymore.
Pinkie got off of Creative and helped him up, "This is what." she said, pointing to a very colorful wagon.
Creative Spark raised his eyebrow, "A wagon, alright." he said.
Pinkie pressed a button the side of the machine and it turned into a mangle of horns, flags, and striped pipes. Pinkie then began to sing:
"Welcome welcome welcome
A fine welcome to you
Welcome welcome welcome
I say how do you do?
Welcome welcome welcome
I say hip hip hurray
Welcome welcome welcome
To Ponyville today! "
Pinkie sang this, all while playing several instruments at once. Then a cake popped out of a compartment, and confetti shot out of the pipes.
Creative Spark's jaw dropped. Once he regained his composure, Creative spoke, "Wow, now that was impressive." he said.
"Thanks!" Pinkie replied cheerfully while bouncing up and down, almost like her hooves were made of springs.
Creative Smiled, he had to admit that he was entertained by Pinkie's exuberant attitude.
Pinkie gasped, "You need to meet my friends, I need to through a party for your arrival in Ponyville!" she said with a big smile.
Creative smiled, "Well let's get going then." he said.
"Yippee; off we go!" Pinkie said before grabbing Creative by his elbow and quickly dragged him off to meet her friends.
It All Begins With a Spark
Chapter 8
Pinkie Pie bounced constantly as she led the purple colt all over Ponyville, showing him absolutely everything there was to do and see and almost everypony there was to know. After the tour, Pinkie told Creative that she would now take him to see her best friends.
"OK, so I think we should go see Rarity first." Pinkie said with the constant smile she seemed to have.
"Sounds good to me, lead the way Pinkie." Creative replied.
She led Creative to the building she had pointed out earlier as Carousel Boutique, "Here we are." Pinkie said.
"Your friend lives in her shop?" Creative Spark asked, thinking Pinkie was just confused between her friend's home and business.
"Yeppers!" was Pinkie's only reply, before she knocked on the door.
After a few seconds the door was answered by a white mare with a deep-purple curly mane and tail.
"Well hello there Pinkie, darling." Rarity said with a weary smile and several random fabric samples draped around her shoulders; Creative mentally noted her sophisticated accent, and he thought it suited her well.
"Hiya!" Pinkie replied as she perked up.
"And to what do I owe your... unexpected... visit?" Rarity asked .
"Him!" Pinkie said pointing with her hoof to Creative Spark.
Rarity looked over at him, "Oh, hello dear, I can't say I've seen you before." she said inquisitively, wanting to get back to work.
"He's new in town." Pinkie chimed in before Creative even had the chance to say anything.
"Y-yes, my name is Creative Spark, it's a pleasure to meet you." Creative said, holding out his hoof.
"Well, it's nice to meet to you too.. Oh, I simply love your mane style. Very.... modern!" Rarity said, brightening up a little.
"Thanks, I think yours is quite beautiful too." Creative said with a smile, blushing only slightly.
Rarity blushed as she waved her hoof in a modest manner, "Oh, stop it, you're too kind." she replied.
"Well, we need to get going now Rarity, I need Sparky to meet the rest of the gang!" Pinkie exclaimed.
Creative Spark winced a little when Pinkie called him 'Sparky', for that was, in fact, coincidentally his mother's nickname for him when he was a foal.
"Well alright, Pinkie, it was nice to meet you Creative Spark." Rarity said as she backed into her Boutique with her cloths draped over her.
Creative Spark was about to say farewell, but Pinkie grabbed him again and led him off to their next destination.
***
Pinkie decided that she would introduce Creative to Rainbow Dash next. She took Creative to Rainbow's Cloud house just outside of Ponyville. On the way to Rainbow's house pinkie told Creative Spark about her friend.
"Here we are!" Pinkie stated as the arrived underneath it.
Pinkie had told Creative that her friend lived in a house, but the only thing Creative Spark thought when he saw it was 'castle'.
"Wow, now that's a house ." Creative said.
"Well duh, that's what I said it was." Pinkie said, apparently she had misunderstood what Creative had meant.
Rather than argue with Pinkie Creative just nodded, "Yes you did, but I didn't expect this ." he said.
Pinkie pulled out a megaphone out of nowhere, "Hey Rainbow Dash!" she called out into it.
After a few seconds wait, Rainbow came out the front door of her house, and flew herself down to her pink friend, "Jeeze, Pinkie, you know this is when I usually take a nap." Rainbow said before letting out a yawn.
"I know, but I just thought you might want to meet my new friend here." Pinkie said in reply.
Rainbow looked over at Creative, "Hey." Rainbow said.
Creative smiled, "Hello, Rainbow Dash, I've heard a lot about you." he said.
Rainbow had a smug look on her face, "Not surprising, I am pretty awesome." she said gloatingly.
Creative chuckled, Rainbow caught him doing this, "Something funny about that?" Rainbow asked.
"Not particularly." Creative replied.
"Do, you want me to prove how good I am?" Rainbow asked with a hint of a challenge in her tone.
"If you want to." Creative said.
"Alright then, let's have a race." Rainbow said.
"Where to?" Creative asked.
"We still have to see Applejack, Fluttershy, and Twilight." Pinkie said.
"Alright, well I know that Fluttershy was helping AJ today, so why not make it a race to sweet apple acres?" Rainbow suggested.
"Makes sense to me." Creative said, agreeing with Rainbow.
"Alright, Pinkie give me a countdown." Rainbow said, getting into a crouching stance.
***
Rainbow had definitely proven herself, she had flown faster than Creative had seen anypony fly before.
"That's just what I needed today, a good race to get me feeling my best." Rainbow said, not even out of breath.
"Well... I'm glad that... I was able to... help." Creative said between gasps, trying to catch his breath.
"WOOHOO, That was awesome! I knew Rainbow Dash would win, but still it was an awesome race." Pinkie's voice said.
Creative Spark, looked back to find Pinkie behind him, "How do you do that?" he asked.
"Do what?" Pinkie asked cocking her head to one side.
Rainbow flew over to Creative's side, "Don't ask, just go with it. It'll drive you crazy if you keep thinking about it." she whispered.
"Right." Creative whispered back.
"Oh look, there's Fluttershy and Applejack over there." Pinkie said, apparently forgetting about the question Creative had asked, and trotted over to her friends. "Hey Applejack! Hey Fluttershy!" she yelled over to them.
***
After meeting with Applejack and Fluttershy, Pinkie "So, who are we going to see now?" Creative Spark asked as he walked behind Pinkie, who was bouncing forward again.
Pinkie Pie looked over her shoulder, "Well, Twilight is the only one left, I think you'll like her, she's really into books and reading and all sorts of smart-pony stuff. I think you two will get along great." she said cheerfully.
"Oh good, an intellectual pony, to talk to." Creative said with a smile.
"Yeah, but she kind of has a problem with organizing things." Pinkie said.
"You mean she leaves everything strewn across her house in random stacks and piles?" Creative asked, That's what he did.
"No, she has a bit of OCD. Everything has to be neat and tidy." Pinkie said.
"Oh, well that's better than what I though." Creative said.
Pinkie led Creative to the Ponyville library.
"Um, Pinkie, this the library." Creative said, confused.
"Yeah, I know. This is where Twilight lives." Pinkie said, as if he should have known that.
Creative raised an eyebrow, but Pinkie didn't seem to notice and knocked on the door.
After a few seconds a lavender unicorn mare stepped out of the doorway."Oh, hey Pinkie Pie, what's up?" She asked.
Pinkie stepped aside, "I found a new friend, and wanted you to meet him." she said.
"Pinkie, you didn't just grab him and start dragging him through town did you, remember how that worked out last time with Cranky?" Twilight asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Of course not, I learned my lesson." Pinkie said proudly.
"Well alright then." Twilight said.
The unicorn mare, which Creative now knew was Twilight, looked over at him, "Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle, what's your name?" Twilight asked.
"Hello Twilight, I'm Creative Spark, pleasure to meet you." he said.
"What is it you do Mr. Spark?" Twilight asked.
"I'm an inventor actually, but my technique could use improvement." Creative replied.
"Oh, what is it that you invent?" Twilight asked with interest.
"Well, I usually make things that help people, mostly medical equipment, but sometimes I make other items." Creative said.
"So are you a doctor then?" Twilight asked.
"No, not really. I know some things of the trade, but not many." Creative said.
"Oh, well if you need any books on the subject then I will gladly supply them to you." Twilight said with a smile.
"I appreciate that, thank you." Creative said.
"So, where do live?" Twilight asked.
"Well, at the moment, nowhere. I just got here today." Creative said.
"Oh, well there aren't any hotels in Ponyville, but I do have a spare bedroom in the library." Twilight said.
"Wow, thanks, How can I ever repay you?" Creative said.
"It's no trouble really, you can even the library's basement as a workshop for your inventions." Twilight said.
Creative Spark was Surprised at how generous Twilight was being, he never expected to just be invited to stay at somepony's house on his first day.
"Well, I'd better get going, I've got a party to set up." Pinkie said, before she left in a blur of pink motion.
"How does she do that?" Creative wondered out loud.
Twilight chuckled a bit, "Don't ask, it'll just drive you crazy if you keep thinking about it, believe me, I know." she said.
"I'll trust you on that one." Creative said.
"Well let's get you unpacked, the spare room is this way, follow me." Twilight said
***
Twilight and Creative had finished unpacking creative's belongings, which was fairly easy since he had very little. As Twilight walked into her room she smiled. She had taken a liking to the new pony pinkie had just brought to her. She was very interested in his work, being a bit of an inventor herself, maybe he could teach her something new about the art of tinkering. Perhaps Twilight could teach him something new as well.
***
Pinkie Pie had planned a party for Creative's arrival in Ponyville, apparently it was a normal occurrence for the townsfolk of Ponyville. Everypony enjoyed the party that night, and they definitely got their fill of sweets. Creative Spark had to admit that even though Pinkie seemed a bit disorganized most of the time she could make a fine cupcake.
It All Begins With a Spark
Epilogue
Creative Spark was happy to be living at the library with Twilight Sparkle, he found her to be a good assistant. She was smart funny, and pretty cute too - an added bonus. Not to mention befriending Twilight's other friends, who were occasionally in need of help which he was only to happy to provide, for instance: Applejack's dog, Winona, was recently injured at Sweet Apple Acres due to a farming incident. Creative Spark was the only pony she thought might be able to help her canine friend after the vet had told her the she had no way of helping.
***
Applejack came running into the library full gallop with Winona on her back, "Twilight, Creative, Y'all need ta help me!" she all but yelled.
Creative Spark came out from the bathroom with his toothbrush still in his mouth, "What's the matter Applejack?" he said, his words slurred a bit from the toothbrush.
"It's Winona, she got in the way while we were workin' the field." Applejack said.
Creative Spark then noticed Winona slung over Applejack's back, and immediately spit out his toothbrush and rushed over to Applejack's Side, "Alright, set her down on the table and I'll go get my things." he said before rushing down into the basement to grab everything he might need.
Applejack had Winona on the table, just like Creative Spark had told her, "hang in there girl." she said petting Winona's head
Twilight came out of her room, "Applejack, what's with all the yell...?" twilight wasn't able to complete her question after noticing the blood on applejack's side.
"It's not my blood Twi, it's Winona's." Applejack said.
"What happened?" Twilight asked.
"Well, Big Mac was plowin' the field and Winona the idea to go and help . Big Mac didn't notice Winona gettin' behind him, and her legs got caught under the blade." Applejack said, recalling the incident.
Twilight looked over Applejack's shoulder and saw Winona, her eyes went wide and she covered her mouth with a hoof before running into the bathroom.
At that Moment Creative arrived carrying a big bag with a red cross emblem on in, and some of his medical equipment inventions, "Don't worry Applejack, I'm going to do my best." he said.
"Do your best?! " Applejack exclaimed.
"Well yeah, I've never worked with anything like this. I most take care of minor injuries, and this isn't minor." Creative said.
"You better not do anythin' that'll hurt my girl." Applejack said in a threatening tone.
"I would never do that AJ." Creative said, putting a hoof on her shoulder.
Applejack sighed, "I know, but I still worry." she said.
Twilight was just coming out of the bathroom and Creative noticed her, "Twilight, I'm gonna need
some assistance. Creative said.
"Oh no." Twilight groaned.
***
2 Hours Later
Creative Spark leaned on the table over Winona whose legs, or what was left anyway, were now thickly bandaged, " I can't do it." Creative said to himself, he would be able to help Winona, but he wasn't sure he'd be able to make it so she walk again.
Twilight overheard Creative's statement, "Yes you can, you've never given up before, why should this be any different?" she asked.
"Because I don't want to risk hurting her anymore than she already is." Creative Replied.
Twilight put a hoof on creatives shoulder, "You can do this, if you don't Applejack would have been better off having her
put-down, and you'll have failed both her and Winona." Twilight said.
Creative closed his eyes, he remembered a something his adoptive mother had always told him, 'If you ever want to be good at everything, don't give up on anything'. "Right, Twilight, get me my tools, I've got work to do."

Special Chapter
The Day After the Incident at the Cabin
Sky-blue waters blinked his eyes as he woke up. He felt a pain in his head. He attempted to put his hoof to his head, but he found that he was being held in place. As soon Sky-blue realized this, he began to struggle.
"You might as well stop; you can't break free." a voice said.
Sky-blue looked in all directions to find the origin of the voice, he stopped when he found it, it was the pony he had faced in the hospital, and then this remembered that he wasn't a pony, but a changeling. his went wide as he remembered what had happened.
The other noticed his realization and gave an evil smiled, "Yes, that's right, we attacked you, and we won." he said.
Sky-blue continued to struggle against his restraints,"Where's my wife you bastard?!" he said still trying to free himself.
"All in good time, Mister Waters, first we have a few questions for you." the changeling said.
Sky-blue scowled, "To hell with that, I'm not telling you anything!" He said.
The changeling sighed, "Ah, as I thought, then you leave me no choice." He said.
"What are you gonna do torture me, for what, what do I know that you don't." Sky-blue asked
"The location of your son." The changeling replied.
"What do you want with him?" Sky-blue asked.
The changeling gave another evil smile, "To recruit him, that is how we get our members to follow us with such a blind loyalty."
"You're twisted, taking foals from their parents." Sky blue said.
"We always give them a chance, if you recall, we tried to convince you, now tell me where is your son."
"I didn't take him, my wife did." Sky-blue said.
"Then maybe I should question her." the changeling said.
As the pony said this, another pony wheeled a table into the room, and Sunrise was laying on the table.
Sky-blue's eyes widened, and then he became angry, "If you so much as breathe by her, I'll kill you." he said.
"Big talk from somepony shackled to a table." the changeling replied, before walking over to the table where his wife was being held.
Sky-blue began to struggle again, more furiously than his previous attempt.
"So my dear, what do you say, are you going to tell me the location of your son?" the changeling asked.
"Never." Sunrise responded.
"We'll see." the changeling said, morphing his right hoof into a blade.
Sky-blue became even more frantic with his struggling, and noted that they hadn't secured his wings, he began to use their strength as well. He could feel the metal of his bonds straining, and then the broke open. Sky-blue grinned in triumph before fly straight at the changeling. The changeling didn't react, he was to stunned to move, and Sky-blue hit him with the force of a train. As he tackled the changeling in mid-air he landed a punch to his face. Sky-blue's hoof cut a gash from right under the changeling's left eye all the way to the right side of his jaw. The changeling screamed in pain before landing on the floor.
"I told you not to go near her, now I'm gonna kill you." Sky-blue said, advancing towards the changeling.
The changeling backed away, still on his back, "Mercy, please." he said.
Sky-blue stared straight down at him, "No." he said without any emotion in his voice.
The changeling's eyes went wide with fear as Sky-blue approached.
Sky-blue was about to strike, when he heard his wife yelled to him, "Look out!"
Sky-blue turned around quickly, but not in time to save himself from being hit. It felt like he had just been struck by lightning, he fell to the ground and couldn't get up.
The changeling got up and sneered at Sky-blue, "How did you like that?" he asked before he kicked Sky-blue in the gut.
Sky-blue could only respond with a groan of pain
"Now, I'm going to fix myself, and then lock you an your wife away in a cell." he said before morphing his face.
When the changeling was done he picked up a mirror and looked at himself, "What, that's not right." he said before morphing his features again, "No, no, no." he said after inspecting himself again.
Sky-blue looked up and saw what was distressing his captor and his eyes went wide, the cut he had made on the changeling's face was still there.
"What have you done to me?!" the changeling exclaimed.
"Huh, I guess you feed of love, but when you're struck by it, it hurts you... permanently in this case." Sky-blue said.
"Guard take these two out of my sight." the changeling said.
The guard hauled Sky-blue to his hooves, before dragging him out of the room.
It All Begins With a Spark
CHAPTER 5
Age: 1
Azure Bliss rubbed her her eyes as she placed Creative Spark back into his crib, he had awoken Azure for a late night feeding, as he seemed to do most nights almost like clockwork. Azure had found that she loved caring for her adopted son, even if he could be a pain some of the time. Azure loved spending time with him, she took him on walks, she played with him, and she read to him, their life was perfect. Azure had taught Creative Spark his first words just a month ago, he learned fast, and his favorite word seemed to to be 'mama', which hurt a little deep inside of her. Though Azure loved her adopted son, she was afraid of having to tell Creative the truth, that she was not really his mother and she didn't know who his real parents were. Azure could only hope that Creative would forgive her for keeping the secret from him.

Creative Spark was knocked onto his back as a piece of the device he was working on blew-up in his face.
"Ow. Well at least it wasn't as bad as last time." Creative said as he got up and dusted himself off.
Creative Spark heard the sound of his mother, Azure Bliss, coming down the stairs, no doubt to investigate what Creative had done this time.
"Creative, are you alright?" She asked.
"Yeah mom, I'm fine." Creative said with an awkward smile, his face was covered in black stuff from the device.
Azure raised her eyebrow with a smirk, "Right, well let's get your face cleaned up, and fix your hair." she said pulling out a cloth rag and a comb.
Creative spark went over to his mother, she always took care of him and Creative knew that no matter what she would always be there for him.
"Hey, mom?" Creative asked.
"Yeah kiddo?" Azure responded.
"Do you think that we could hang out together for the rest of the day?" Creative asked.
"Sure sweety." Azure said with a smile as she nuzzled Creative Spark.

Creative Spark was working on his latest invention to help his mom recover from her recent illness. He wasn't going to give up on his mother even if the doctors she had gone to had, his anger at those doctors fueled his drive to succeed. Just then, Azure Bliss came down the stairs.
"Creative, why don't you take a break, you've been down here for almost a full day." Azure said putting a hoof on her son's shoulder.
"Sorry mom, I can't stop now, this is going to help you out a lot. I'm not giving up on you." Creative said not looking up from his work.
"I'm fine right now, Creative, but you need a break, get some rest or you might pass out on the floor." Azure said.
"I know I should, but I just can't, I can't sleep thinking about losing you." Creative responded.
"Please." Azure said in a tone Creative had barely ever heard her use.
Creative Spark froze, whenever his mother used that tone she was truly concerned.
"Alright, let's get something to eat then." Creative Spark said turning around to go along with his mother.
