Couldn’t you have waited till later?” “No Spike, I want the Princess to see it as soon as possible.” “Fine.” Spike took the scroll and burned it in his sending fire. The scroll turned to ashes and magically floated out the window and vanished in thin air. “There happy Twilight?” Spike said sarcastically. “Very. Now come and help me with my chores.” “Fine. But this time you’re making breakfast.” “Deal. Now let’s go!” Spike followed Twilight down the stairs. As they reached the bottom a knock was heard. “I’ll get it!” Spike said walking towards the door. Spike opened the door. He was greeted by the most beautiful pony in all of Equestria. The mare of his dreams, Rarity. “Hello Spike. Is Twilight around?” “Yes she is, come in my lady.” “Why thank you, sir Spike.” Rarity said giving a little chuckle. Spike blushed due to her comment. “Twilight, Rarity is here she wished to talk to you.” Spike yelled as he guided Rarity to the couch. “I’ll be there shortly!” Twilight yelled. “Would you like something to drink?” “I’m fine Spike, but thank you for asking.” Just as Rarity finished her sentence, Twilight walked in. “Oh hi Twilight.” “Hey Rarity how have you been?” “I’m doing fine, keeping busy at the Boutique. How about you?” "I've been reading and doing the necessities as usual. What brings you here today Rarity?" song. Lol XD “I wanted to ask you if it was alright if Spike would go gem hunting with me later today. If he wants to of course.” “Of course I would love to come! Is it okay if I go Twilight?” Spike said in an excited voice. “Sure Spike, in fact you can have the rest of the day off. I can finish off the chores myself.” “You’re the best Twilight!” Spike said as he ran up to hug her. “You’re welcome… Um Spike could you let me go please, you’re choking me.” Twilight said gasping for air. “Oh sorry Twi.” Spike felt a little embarrassed. “Yes thank you kindly Twilight. Are you ready to go Spike?” “You bet I am! See you later Twilight.” “Make sure you’re back before it is too late.” “Okay Twi.” Spike followed Rarity outside. The sky was getting cloudy. “I hope the clouds are just passing by and there won’t be a storm tonight. Hopefully the weather team didn’t schedule an unannounced storm.” “Me too Rarity.” “Enough about this gloomy weather talk, how have you been today Spike?” “Great, now I don’t have to stack books. Besides it’s always great when I get to spend time with you!” Rarity blushed, “That is so sweet of you to say Spike!” Rarity gave Spike a kiss on the cheek. Spike instantly blushed. “How about you Rarity, how have you been?” “I’ve been great. Sweetie Belle is with my parents for a week, so I have the chance to get a lot done. And time to spend with you Spike.” Rarity said giving him a hug. Spike returned the hug. “I always love to accompany you Rarity.” The two were interrupted by their grumbling stomachs. “Let us go to the Boutique, I will make us some lunch.” “Alright.” Spike said feeling great. His love kissed him on the cheek AND hugged him. His dream was coming true! Spike was following Rarity. Love still in his heart. “Hey Rarity, is it alright if we hold hooves?” Spike asked shyly. “Of course Spike, you don’t have to ask.” Rarity offered Spike her hoof. Spike gently grabbed being careful not to hurt her with his claws. They continued to walk towards the Boutique. Today was turning out to be the best day ever for Spike. They had arrived at the Boutique. Spike held the door open for Rarity. “Thank you Spike.” Rarity said as she walked in. “No problem.” Spike said as he walked in and closed the door. “So Spike what would you like to have for lunch?” “I’m not sure, what are you in the mood for?” “How about a salad?” “That sounds great! You always make the best salads.” Spike said giving Rarity a kiss on the cheek. Rarity blushed. “You are too kind Spike!” Rarity walked into the kitchen, Spike followed. Rarity pulled out the lettuce, some cucumbers, tomatoes and radishes. She also pulled out some gems for Spike’s salad. Spike helped out by setting the table. He placed two seats next to each other. Just as Spike finished, Rarity came in with the salads; they sat down. Rarity pulled up closer to Spike. Spike took the first bite. “Perfect as always Rarity! What kind of vinaigrette is this?” “Why thank you Spike. The vinaigrette is made with lemon, honey and some spices.” “It tastes awesome!” “I’m glad you enjoy it Spike.” Spike made sure to eat with elegance. He used his utensils and his napkin. He wanted to make sure he was his best around Rarity. The two finished. Spike helped Rarity clean the dishes. “Is it alright if we sit down for a little while before we leave? I’m stuffed.” Spike asked Rarity. “Sure thing Spike, I could use some rest as well.” They both sat down on the couch. Rarity sat beside Spike. At first they were enjoying each other’s company until they were interrupted by the sound of thunder. “AHHHHHHHH!” Rarity yelled. “What’s wrong Rarity?” Spike said ready to attack any intruder. “I’m sorry Spike, I’m afraid of lightning and thunder..” Rarity said. Spike held Rarity in his hug. “Don’t worry Rarity, I’m here I’ll protect you.” “Thank you Spike.” Spike gave Rarity a kiss on the lips. Rarity returned the kiss. Rarity positioned her head against his chest. She could be in this position forever. Spike’s chest was giving off a comforting warmth. Spike and Rarity were in heaven. “Bwa ha ha ha ha!” Rainbow couldn’t hold in her laugh. Chapter 2: The Unexpected Storm“I can’t believe I actually scared Rarity! This is too great. I never thought the storm I made would scare her that much!” Rainbow Dash decided to look inside the Boutique to see Rarity’s face. To her surprise though, she saw Spike and Rarity enjoying each other's company. “I need to get out of here, there is too much lovey dovey going on here… I know! I’ll go prank Pinkie Pie, she’s always fun to prank.” With that, Rainbow Dash, along with her cloud, went to Sugar Cube Corner. The thousands of possibilities to scare Pinkie were racing through Rainbow’s mind. She wanted the perfect choice. As Rainbow made her way to Sugar Cube Corner, she could feel the wind picking up a bit. “That’s odd, there wasn’t a storm scheduled for today. Unless… Darn it! I forgot about the storm they were planning today since they missed one a few days ago.” The wind was really starting to pick up. Rainbow was losing control of her flight path. The wind started to push her around, so she let go of the cloud, not wanting to get electrocuted herself. Rain started pouring at a rapid pace, while the wind was pushing it around. Rainbow couldn’t see anything due to the heavy rain. She tried to find a landing spot, but it was too dark to see the ground. All of a sudden, a house came into view, and Rainbow tried her hardest to rise in altitude. She barely made it, almost hitting the chimney on the house. “Woo. That was too close!” Rainbow said, wiping the sweat off of her forehead. She continued to fly, hoping to find a safe place to land. Another house appeared in front of her; unfortunately she did not see it in time. She braced herself for impact, covering her eyes as she feared the worst. She crashed head first into the wall, the impact knocking her out. She laid there on the ground unconscious, having made a big dent in the wall. “What was that noise!?” A pony yelled as he went outside. As he went around the house, he noticed Rainbow Dash. “Are you alright?” Asked the stallion, but there was not an answer. He checked for a pulse, and fortunately there was one. “I’d better bring you to the hospital, you seem to have taken severe damage.” He brought her to the hospital. He was having trouble getting to the hospital due to the heavy rain. He finally arrived, drenched by the time he ran through the emergency doors. “I need help, I found this pony unconscious outside my house!” “Alright we’ll take her in.” Two nurses brought out a stretcher and brought Rainbow through the doors to the rooms. “Make sure to check her pulse.” The nurse told the other nurses. The desk clerk then spoke to the stallion. “Can you explain to us what happened to this pony?” “Well I was at home reading a book during the storm. All of a sudden I hear a loud 'BANG' coming from the wall. Looking around the room, I didn’t see anything that caused it, so I decided to look outside. I noticed the pony unconscious on the ground. After that I brought her straight here.” The clerk wrote everything down in a document. “Did you notice any cuts, bruises or any other type of damage?" “No, I didn't. It was too dark to see if she had any.” “Did she still have a pulse when you saw her?” “Yes, she did.” “Do you know a friend or family member you could report this to?” “I’m sorry, I don't. I do not know this pony.” “Alright, thank you for the information, we’ll try to find a friend or relative. You can leave at any time now.” “Thank you, I hope she’ll be okay.” The stallion then left the hospital and returned home. *Back with Rainbow Dash* Ow! My head, major headache! What happened? The last thing I remember is getting caught in a thunderstorm. Rainbow Dash was slowly regaining consciousness. Her eyes opened slowly. She quickly shut them; they were not adjusted to the bright lights just yet. The headache wasn’t helping with the pain either. She tried opening them again, wanting to know what had happened. This time it didn’t hurt as much, and her eyes were a little more adjusted. Slowly, her eyes adjusted fully. The first thing she saw was that she was in a stretcher being pulled by two nurses. “Wh…Where… am… I?” Rainbow asked, as she continued to regain consciousness. “You’re awake, thank Celestia. We were getting worried, you’ve been out for four hours now.” “Where am I?” She asked, this time more assertively. “Relax, you’re at the hospital. A gentlecolt brought you here after he found you unconscious outside of his house.” “HOSPITAL! WHAT HAPPENED? WHY AM I HERE!?” Rainbow started panicking. She hated being there last time until she started to read Daring Do. “Calm down, you seem to be fine for now. The doctors are looking at the results of the tests as we speak. As for why you’re here, according to the stallion, you crashed into the wall of his house. He went outside to see what it was, and he found you on the floor unconscious, so he brought you here.” “I crashed into a house? I don’t remember that. The last thing I remember was being caught in the thunderstorm. And when I woke up, I had a major headache and my eyes were having trouble adjusting to the lights at first. And then I noticed I was in this stretcher being pulled by the two of you.” “Interesting, write that down, I’m sure the doctors will be interested in hearing this.” “Sure thing!” The second nurse answered. “Sorry, I haven’t introduced myself, my name is Nurse Redheart. And this is Nurse Sweetheart.” “I recognize her!” Rainbow said, pointing to Nurse Sweetheart. “She was taking take of me when I injured my wing a long time ago.” “I’m glad to hear that. Now before we continue, do you have a friend or relative that we can inform about you being here?” “Actually, I have five friends. Their names are Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Rarity.” “Alright, we'll look them up and inform them.” “The sooner the better.” “Alright, Miss Dash. Sweetheart, could you please let the clerk at the front desk know to contact Rainbow’s friends?” “Sure thing, Redheart, I'll be right back.” “Thank you.” Nurse Sweetheart left the room, leaving behind the notes they recently took about Rainbow. Nurse Redheart picked it up and continued to ask Rainbow questions. “Now I am going to ask you questions about how you feel. I want you to answer honestly. This will only be seen by the nurses and doctors involved in helping you. Do you understand?” “Yes I do, nurse.” “Alright let us begin. How do your wings feel?” “They feel fine, no pain there.” “Alright. How do your hooves feel?” “My front hooves hurt slightly, but my back hooves are fine.” “Interesting. How do your upper body and shoulders feel?” “They feel fine.” “Alright. Now how about your back and neck?” “My upper back feels a little sore. My neck is fine though.” “Alright, that's it. Thank you for your cooperation. I will give this to the doctor when he comes back with the results.” Just then, they were interrupted by Nurse Sweetheart. “Hello you two, they just sent someone to contact your friends, Miss Dash. It should not take too long.” “Thank you, Nurse Sweetheart.” “Sure thing, dearie!” “Now, Miss Dash, I want you to just lie down and relax. After that hit you need to get some bed rest. We'll keep you here overnight. If the results come back clean, we'll release you tomorrow morning. But if there are some concerns, then we'll decide how long we'll keep you here.” “Alright, Nurse Redheart. Thank you for the help.” “It’s my pleasure, Miss Dash. Now we’ll leave and let you rest. Just press the button on the right side of your bed if you need any help.” “Alright. Before you leave, can I ask you something?” “Anything.” “When my friends get here, could you let them in right away? Even if I’m sleeping, let them in.” “Definitely, Miss Dash. Have a good rest.” Both nurses left and Nurse Redheart shut the door slowly behind them. Rainbow laid down and placed her head comfortably on the pillow. Chapter 3: Visiting Rainbow Dash*Back at the Carousel Boutique* Rarity had her head against Spike’s stomach; she could feel a comforting warmth. Spike fell asleep earlier. Just as they were enjoying their time together, they were interrupted by a knock at the door. “I’m sorry but the Boutique is closed for the night. Please come back tomorrow, I am open at nine am.” Rarity said, not wanting to move from her comfortable position. “Hello? Is this Rarity’s residence?” “Yes dear, but like I mentioned earlier, the Boutique is closed. I am not accepting clients at the moment.” Rarity started to feel annoyed; she wanted to stay in that position. “Hello Miss Rarity, my name is Nurse Sweetheart. I am here in regard of your friend Rainbow Dash. She is in the hospital and requests that her friends come and visit her.” Rarity got up and walked to the door. She surrounded the door in her signature blue aura and slowly opened it. “Sorry about that nurse, I thought you were a client. Please come in.” The nurse did what Rarity asked her to. “Thank you Miss Rarity.” “Now what were you saying about Rainbow Dash?” Just then Spike woke up and noticed a worried look on Rarity’s face. “What’s wrong Rarity?” “Come here Spike, the nurse here was telling me about how Rainbow is in the hospital and requests to see her friends.” “Yes Miss Rarity. If you could please make your way to the hospital, I need to let her other friends know of the news as well.” “Certainly nurse. Thank you for letting me know. Come on Spike, let’s go.” “Hold on.” Spike said just thinking of something important. Spike walked to the closet. He pulled out Rarity’s umbrella and coat. “I wouldn’t want you to get wet my lady.” Spike said as he helped her put her coat and umbrella on. “Why thank you Spike! You are such a gentledragon!” Rarity gave him a kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush. Spike held the door open. “After you my lady.” “Thank you again Spike. My my aren’t we a gentledragon tonight.” “Only the best for you Rarity!” Spike gave her a kiss on the cheek. This time causing Rarity to blush. Spike closed the door after them and they made their way to the hospital. On the way they made some small conversation about Rainbow Dash. “I can’t believe Rainbow is in the hospital. What do you think of this Rarity?” “I agree Spike, that one needs to be more careful. She is always so careless with her ‘tricks’ she does in the air. I can’t wait to hear what happened this time. She has crashed through houses before. I wonder what happened this time.” “Well if it was you in the hospital, I would never leave your side. I would stay there until your release date. I would always be there to make sure you were alright.” “That is so sweet of you Spike! I would do the same for you!” “Thank you Rarity! It feels nice knowing there is someone there who cares about you. For a while I only had Twilight, that is, until I met you... Since day one of seeing you I was in love with you. They enjoyed the moment for what seemed like ages, until they realized that they were supposed to make their way to the hospital, to see Rainbow. “I hate to interrupt you Spike, but we should make our way to the hospital to visit Rainbow.” “Oh, right. When they arrived, Spike helped Rarity take her coat and umbrella off. Just as Spike took her coat off, they were joined by Twilight and Pinkie Pie. “Hey guys! You were visited by a nurse as well?” “Yes Spike. The nurse came and told me. I told her I would let Pinkie know and she headed towards Fluttershy’s cabin.” “Yeah poor Rainbow Dash. She does really awesome tricks and flips and twists and…” “Whoa. Slow down Pinkie. Just then, they were joined by Fluttershy. “Oh hello guys. I heard about Rainbow Dash. Where’s Applejack? If you don’t mind me asking.” “She isn’t here yet. She should be here soon though. Rarity laid her head on my chest and I fell asleep. And then latter we were interrupted by a knock at the door. It was the nurse letting us know about Rainbow.” “Did you guys do any kissing?” Twilight asked giggling like a school filly. “Actually yes we did.” Spike said as he kissed Rarity on the lips. “Okay, I get it. Get a room you two.” Twilight said, unable to hold her laughter. “What are ya’ll laughin’ at?” “Applejack! Oh nothing, just joking with Spike.” Twilight gave Applejack a little blink. “Oh I see. Well how ‘bout we all go see ‘er now?” “Sounds good let us go?” “Excuse me, we’re here to see Rainbow Dash.” “Your name?” “I’m Twilight Sparkle. Let’s go guys.” They walked down the hall, looking at the number on each door until they saw 113. “Here we are 113.” Twilight opened the door slowly, in case Rainbow was sleeping. As they walked in they noticed she was awake. “Hey guys. Thanks for coming!” Rainbow said, excitement in her voice. “Hey Rainbow. How ya’ll doin’ sugercube?” “I’m doing pretty good. I only have an annoying headache and some mild pain in my front hooves, but that’s it nothing serious. Now I’m just waiting for the results from the doctors. “What happened Rainbow? If you don’t mind me asking” “I don’t remember anything after I got knocked out. All I remember is it was getting windy. It started to rain, and the wind was pushing the rain so I couldn’t see anything. After I remember bracing myself for impact as I was going to crash. I don’t remember anything after that. I was told that a stallion brought me here after he found me unconscious.” “What were you doing outside in the first place?” “Well…” “Rainbow what were you doing?” Twilight asked, with a firmer tone. “I... Well it wasn’t worth all of this, but I am glad to see you are okay!” Pinkie said as she bounced in her usual way. Just then they were interrupted by a knock at the door. It was the doctor. “Hello everyone, my name is Doctor Hooves.” “Hello doctor, I’m Twilight Sparkle, this is Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity and Spike.” “Pleased to meet all of you. I’m here to tell Miss Dash her results.” “Alright doc, what are the results?” Rainbow asked, feeling nervous. “Well everything came out fine. You suffered no serious injuries, no broken bones and your wings seem to be fine. We’re going to keep you here overnight just to make sure everything is well. And we’ll release you tomorrow morning. Have a good night everyone.” “Thank you doc and have a good night.” The doctor left closing the door behind him. “OH! That’s great news Dashie!” Pinkie said squeezing her. “Pinkie, you’re squishing me!” “Oh sorry Dash!” “No worries Pinkie. But if you guys wouldn’t mind, I think I’m going to go to bed now. I want to well rested for my release tomorrow morning.” “Sure thing sugarcube. Have a good night.” They all said their goodnights and left closing the door softly behind them. Rarity pulled out the lettuce, some cucumbers, tomatoes and radishes. She also pulled out some gems for Spike’s salad. Spike helped out by setting the table. He placed two seats next to each other. Just as Spike finished, Rarity came in with the salads; they sat down. Rarity pulled up closer to Spike. Spike took the first bite. “Perfect as always Rarity! What kind of vinaigrette is this?” “Why thank you Spike. The vinaigrette is made with lemon, honey and some spices.” “It tastes awesome!” “I’m glad you enjoy it Spike.” Spike made sure to eat with elegance. He used his utensils and his napkin. He wanted to make sure he was his best around Rarity. The two finished. Spike helped Rarity clean the dishes. “Is it alright if we sit down for a little while before we leave? I’m stuffed.” Spike asked Rarity. “Sure thing Spike, I could use some rest as well.” They both sat down on the couch. Rarity sat beside Spike. At first they were enjoying each other’s company until they were interrupted by the sound of thunder. “AHHHHHHHH!” Rarity yelled. “What’s wrong Rarity?” Spike said ready to attack any intruder. “I’m sorry Spike, I’m afraid of lightning and thunder..” Rarity said. Spike held Rarity in his hug. “Don’t worry Rarity, I’m here I’ll protect you.” “Thank you Spike.” Spike gave Rarity a kiss on the lips. Rarity returned the kiss. Rarity positioned her head against his chest. She could be in this position forever. Spike’s chest was giving off a comforting warmth. Spike and Rarity were in heaven. “Bwa ha ha ha ha!” Rainbow couldn’t hold in her laugh.
Chapter 2: The Unexpected Storm“I can’t believe I actually scared Rarity! This is too great. I never thought the storm I made would scare her that much!” Rainbow Dash decided to look inside the Boutique to see Rarity’s face. To her surprise though, she saw Spike and Rarity enjoying each other's company. “I need to get out of here, there is too much lovey dovey going on here… I know! I’ll go prank Pinkie Pie, she’s always fun to prank.” With that, Rainbow Dash, along with her cloud, went to Sugar Cube Corner. The thousands of possibilities to scare Pinkie were racing through Rainbow’s mind. She wanted the perfect choice. As Rainbow made her way to Sugar Cube Corner, she could feel the wind picking up a bit. “That’s odd, there wasn’t a storm scheduled for today. Unless… Darn it! I forgot about the storm they were planning today since they missed one a few days ago.” The wind was really starting to pick up. Rainbow was losing control of her flight path. The wind started to push her around, so she let go of the cloud, not wanting to get electrocuted herself. Rain started pouring at a rapid pace, while the wind was pushing it around. Rainbow couldn’t see anything due to the heavy rain. She tried to find a landing spot, but it was too dark to see the ground. All of a sudden, a house came into view, and Rainbow tried her hardest to rise in altitude. She barely made it, almost hitting the chimney on the house. “Woo. That was too close!” Rainbow said, wiping the sweat off of her forehead. She continued to fly, hoping to find a safe place to land. Another house appeared in front of her; unfortunately she did not see it in time. She braced herself for impact, covering her eyes as she feared the worst. She crashed head first into the wall, the impact knocking her out. She laid there on the ground unconscious, having made a big dent in the wall. “What was that noise!?” A pony yelled as he went outside. As he went around the house, he noticed Rainbow Dash. “Are you alright?” Asked the stallion, but there was not an answer. He checked for a pulse, and fortunately there was one. “I’d better bring you to the hospital, you seem to have taken severe damage.” He brought her to the hospital. He was having trouble getting to the hospital due to the heavy rain. He finally arrived, drenched by the time he ran through the emergency doors. “I need help, I found this pony unconscious outside my house!” “Alright we’ll take her in.” Two nurses brought out a stretcher and brought Rainbow through the doors to the rooms. “Make sure to check her pulse.” The nurse told the other nurses. The desk clerk then spoke to the stallion. “Can you explain to us what happened to this pony?” “Well I was at home reading a book during the storm. All of a sudden I hear a loud 'BANG' coming from the wall. Looking around the room, I didn’t see anything that caused it, so I decided to look outside. I noticed the pony unconscious on the ground. After that I brought her straight here.” The clerk wrote everything down in a document. “Did you notice any cuts, bruises or any other type of damage?" “No, I didn't. It was too dark to see if she had any.” “Did she still have a pulse when you saw her?” “Yes, she did.” “Do you know a friend or family member you could report this to?” “I’m sorry, I don't. I do not know this pony.” “Alright, thank you for the information, we’ll try to find a friend or relative. You can leave at any time now.” “Thank you, I hope she’ll be okay.” The stallion then left the hospital and returned home. *Back with Rainbow Dash* Ow! My head, major headache! What happened? The last thing I remember is getting caught in a thunderstorm. Rainbow Dash was slowly regaining consciousness. Her eyes opened slowly. She quickly shut them; they were not adjusted to the bright lights just yet. The headache wasn’t helping with the pain either. She tried opening them again, wanting to know what had happened. This time it didn’t hurt as much, and her eyes were a little more adjusted. Slowly, her eyes adjusted fully. The first thing she saw was that she was in a stretcher being pulled by two nurses. “Wh…Where… am… I?” Rainbow asked, as she continued to regain consciousness. “You’re awake, thank Celestia. We were getting worried, you’ve been out for four hours now.” “Where am I?” She asked, this time more assertively. “Relax, you’re at the hospital. A gentlecolt brought you here after he found you unconscious outside of his house.” “HOSPITAL! WHAT HAPPENED? WHY AM I HERE!?” Rainbow started panicking. She hated being there last time until she started to read Daring Do. “Calm down, you seem to be fine for now. The doctors are looking at the results of the tests as we speak. As for why you’re here, according to the stallion, you crashed into the wall of his house. He went outside to see what it was, and he found you on the floor unconscious, so he brought you here.” “I crashed into a house? I don’t remember that. The last thing I remember was being caught in the thunderstorm. And when I woke up, I had a major headache and my eyes were having trouble adjusting to the lights at first. And then I noticed I was in this stretcher being pulled by the two of you.” “Interesting, write that down, I’m sure the doctors will be interested in hearing this.” “Sure thing!” The second nurse answered. “Sorry, I haven’t introduced myself, my name is Nurse Redheart. And this is Nurse Sweetheart.” “I recognize her!” Rainbow said, pointing to Nurse Sweetheart. “She was taking take of me when I injured my wing a long time ago.” “I’m glad to hear that. Now before we continue, do you have a friend or relative that we can inform about you being here?” “Actually, I have five friends. Their names are Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Rarity.” “Alright, we'll look them up and inform them.” “The sooner the better.” “Alright, Miss Dash. Sweetheart, could you please let the clerk at the front desk know to contact Rainbow’s friends?” “Sure thing, Redheart, I'll be right back.” “Thank you.” Nurse Sweetheart left the room, leaving behind the notes they recently took about Rainbow. Nurse Redheart picked it up and continued to ask Rainbow questions. “Now I am going to ask you questions about how you feel. I want you to answer honestly. This will only be seen by the nurses and doctors involved in helping you. Do you understand?” “Yes I do, nurse.” “Alright let us begin. How do your wings feel?” “They feel fine, no pain there.” “Alright. How do your hooves feel?” “My front hooves hurt slightly, but my back hooves are fine.” “Interesting. How do your upper body and shoulders feel?” “They feel fine.” “Alright. Now how about your back and neck?” “My upper back feels a little sore. My neck is fine though.” “Alright, that's it. Thank you for your cooperation. I will give this to the doctor when he comes back with the results.” Just then, they were interrupted by Nurse Sweetheart. “Hello you two, they just sent someone to contact your friends, Miss Dash. It should not take too long.” “Thank you, Nurse Sweetheart.” “Sure thing, dearie!” “Now, Miss Dash, I want you to just lie down and relax. After that hit you need to get some bed rest. We'll keep you here overnight. If the results come back clean, we'll release you tomorrow morning. But if there are some concerns, then we'll decide how long we'll keep you here.” “Alright, Nurse Redheart. Thank you for the help.” “It’s my pleasure, Miss Dash. Now we’ll leave and let you rest. Just press the button on the right side of your bed if you need any help.” “Alright. Before you leave, can I ask you something?” “Anything.” “When my friends get here, could you let them in right away? Even if I’m sleeping, let them in.” “Definitely, Miss Dash. Have a good rest.” Both nurses left and Nurse Redheart shut the door slowly behind them. Rainbow laid down and placed her head comfortably on the pillow.
Chapter 3: Visiting Rainbow Dash*Back at the Carousel Boutique* Rarity had her head against Spike’s stomach; she could feel a comforting warmth. Spike fell asleep earlier. Just as they were enjoying their time together, they were interrupted by a knock at the door. “I’m sorry but the Boutique is closed for the night. Please come back tomorrow, I am open at nine am.” Rarity said, not wanting to move from her comfortable position. “Hello? Is this Rarity’s residence?” “Yes dear, but like I mentioned earlier, the Boutique is closed. I am not accepting clients at the moment.” Rarity started to feel annoyed; she wanted to stay in that position. “Hello Miss Rarity, my name is Nurse Sweetheart. I am here in regard of your friend Rainbow Dash. She is in the hospital and requests that her friends come and visit her.” Rarity got up and walked to the door. She surrounded the door in her signature blue aura and slowly opened it. “Sorry about that nurse, I thought you were a client. Please come in.” The nurse did what Rarity asked her to. “Thank you Miss Rarity.” “Now what were you saying about Rainbow Dash?” Just then Spike woke up and noticed a worried look on Rarity’s face. “What’s wrong Rarity?” “Come here Spike, the nurse here was telling me about how Rainbow is in the hospital and requests to see her friends.” “Yes Miss Rarity. If you could please make your way to the hospital, I need to let her other friends know of the news as well.” “Certainly nurse. Thank you for letting me know. Come on Spike, let’s go.” “Hold on.” Spike said just thinking of something important. Spike walked to the closet. He pulled out Rarity’s umbrella and coat. “I wouldn’t want you to get wet my lady.” Spike said as he helped her put her coat and umbrella on. “Why thank you Spike! You are such a gentledragon!” Rarity gave him a kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush. Spike held the door open. “After you my lady.” “Thank you again Spike. My my aren’t we a gentledragon tonight.” “Only the best for you Rarity!” Spike gave her a kiss on the cheek. This time causing Rarity to blush. Spike closed the door after them and they made their way to the hospital. On the way they made some small conversation about Rainbow Dash. “I can’t believe Rainbow is in the hospital. What do you think of this Rarity?” “I agree Spike, that one needs to be more careful. She is always so careless with her ‘tricks’ she does in the air. I can’t wait to hear what happened this time. She has crashed through houses before. I wonder what happened this time.” “Well if it was you in the hospital, I would never leave your side. I would stay there until your release date. I would always be there to make sure you were alright.” “That is so sweet of you Spike! I would do the same for you!” “Thank you Rarity! It feels nice knowing there is someone there who cares about you. For a while I only had Twilight, that is, until I met you... Since day one of seeing you I was in love with you. And now here we are a couple. I couldn’t ask for anything better.” Spike said giving Rarity a passionate kiss on the lips. They enjoyed the moment for what seemed like ages, until they realized that they were supposed to make their way to the hospital, to see Rainbow. “I hate to interrupt you Spike, but we should make our way to the hospital to visit Rainbow.” “Oh, right. I forgot for a second.” Spike said blushing due to being embarrassed. “Oh, sweetie, you are turning the most delightful shade of red, it is most becoming.” Spike blushed harder due to her comment. “We better get going to the hospital.” “You are right dear. I can’t believe I lost track of my priorities for a moment there. Let us go.” Spike held Rarity’s hoof all the way to the hospital. When they arrived, Spike helped Rarity take her coat and umbrella off. Just as Spike took her coat off, they were joined by Twilight and Pinkie Pie. “Hey guys! You were visited by a nurse as well?” “Yes Spike. The nurse came and told me. I told her I would let Pinkie know and she headed towards Fluttershy’s cabin.” “Yeah poor Rainbow Dash. She does really awesome tricks and flips and twists and…” “Whoa. Slow down Pinkie. Rainbow, isn’t feeling great, we need to be calm around her.” “I know, but I thought I would cheer her up.” Pinkie said with the biggest smile possible on her face. Just then, they were joined by Fluttershy. “Oh hello guys. I heard about Rainbow Dash. Where’s Applejack? If you don’t mind me asking.” “She isn’t here yet. She should be here soon though. Why don’t we sit down while we wait for her?” “That sounds like a great idea.” They all took a seat continuing to talk as they waited for Applejack. “So Spike, how was it at Rarity’s? Just the two of you alone…” “Hey! Don’t get any ideas Twilight. We had a nice lunch and then we decided to take a break. It started to storm outside so we sat on the couch. Rarity laid her head on my chest and I fell asleep. And then latter we were interrupted by a knock at the door. It was the nurse letting us know about Rainbow.” “Did you guys do any kissing?” Twilight asked giggling like a school filly. “Actually yes we did.” Spike said as he kissed Rarity on the lips. “Okay, I get it. Get a room you two.” Twilight said, unable to hold her laughter. “What are ya’ll laughin’ at?” “Applejack! Oh nothing, just joking with Spike.” Twilight gave Applejack a little blink. “Oh I see. Well how ‘bout we all go see ‘er now?” “Sounds good let us go?” “Excuse me, we’re here to see Rainbow Dash.” “Your name?” “I’m Twilight Sparkle. And this is Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Spike.” “I’m sorry, but I don’t have Spike on the list to be allowed in. The rest of you may go in.” “What! We’re not going to leave him behind. Could you please ask her if he could come in?” “Alright, give me a second.” The desk clerk got up and walked down the hall of rooms. She came back only one minute later. “She said it was alright for Spike to come in. Go ahead. Her room is number 113. About half way down on your right.” “Thank you. Let’s go guys.” They walked down the hall, looking at the number on each door until they saw 113. “Here we are 113.” Twilight opened the door slowly, in case Rainbow was sleeping. As they walked in they noticed she was awake. “Hey guys. Thanks for coming!” Rainbow said, excitement in her voice. “Hey Rainbow. How ya’ll doin’ sugercube?” “I’m doing pretty good. I only have an annoying headache and some mild pain in my front hooves, but that’s it nothing serious. Now I’m just waiting for the results from the doctors. “What happened Rainbow? If you don’t mind me asking” “I don’t remember anything after I got knocked out. All I remember is it was getting windy. It started to rain, and the wind was pushing the rain so I couldn’t see anything. After I remember bracing myself for impact as I was going to crash. I don’t remember anything after that. I was told that a stallion brought me here after he found me unconscious.” “What were you doing outside in the first place?” “Well…” “Rainbow what were you doing?” Twilight asked, with a firmer tone. “I... I… Alright! I decided to scare Rarity by hitting a cloud to make a thunder sound and lightning. But it was worth it! I could hear her screaming from outside.” Rainbow started to chuckle. “That was you Rainbow Dash! How could you do such a thing to a lady!? It is very inappropriate young lady!” “Sorry Rarity, but you’re fun to prank. You always do the best ‘scared’ screams!” Rarity felt a little embarrassed. “That’s not it though. This all happened as I was making my way to Sugercube Corner to prank Pinkie.” “You were coming to prank me silly! Well it wasn’t worth all of this, but I am glad to see you are okay!” Pinkie said as she bounced in her usual way. Just then they were interrupted by a knock at the door. It was the doctor. “Hello everyone, my name is Doctor Hooves.” “Hello doctor, I’m Twilight Sparkle, this is Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity and Spike.” “Pleased to meet all of you. I’m here to tell Miss Dash her results.” “Alright doc, what are the results?” Rainbow asked, feeling nervous. “Well everything came out fine. You suffered no serious injuries, no broken bones and your wings seem to be fine. We’re going to keep you here overnight just to make sure everything is well. And we’ll release you tomorrow morning. Have a good night everyone.” “Thank you doc and have a good night.” The doctor left closing the door behind him. “OH! That’s great news Dashie!” Pinkie said squeezing her. “Pinkie, you’re squishing me!” “Oh sorry Dash!” “No worries Pinkie. But if you guys wouldn’t mind, I think I’m going to go to bed now. I want to well rested for my release tomorrow morning.” “Sure thing sugarcube. Have a good night.” They all said their goodnights and left closing the door softly behind them. Rainbow put her head on the pillow in a comfortable position and fell asleep, excited for tomorrow.
