After being stripped of her role as lead pony, Lightning Dust finds herself framed for murder. What's more, she soon comes to discover that she has become caught in the middle of an international war that Equestria isn't even aware of yet. With the help of a few unlikely companions, Lightning Dust sets out to clear her name, and quite possibly save Equestria in the process.

As fate pins former friends against one another, and blurs the lines between friend or foe, Lightning Dust will soon realize there are things, and ponies, much more important to her than being the best.
