Big Macintosh was sweating.
It wasn’t the physical exertion. Bucking apple trees, for somepony of his physique, was something that nopony would ever see or hear him complaining about. The apples descended from their perennial captors with the usual grace - landing, without fail, into the buckets priorly appropriated for that purpose. It was an act that had long since become second nature to the large Earth Pony. With minimal thoughts towards the physical motions, he moved from one tree to the next, only partly conscious of doing so. He was only indistinctly aware that he was performing, with such casualness that completely belied the force required, acts that no other pony in town could accomplish even if they threw their entirety into the effort.
And still, he was sweating.
His mind was wracked, occupied. Spectres of desire shaped themselves. Images swarmed and infected his consciousness as another group of ignored apples, with a series of dull thwacks, piled themselves into the baskets. She was all he could think about. How long had it been since he had seen her? It had to be at least four hours at this point. No, the aching in his body suggested even longer. Half a day? More?
This was why he was sweating. This was why his blood pooled itself into his head, causing his face to become flushed. This was why, if anypony had been observing him, they would have assumed the physical strain had finally gotten to the workhorse. This was why his focus was far from the farm that he corporeally occupied. He was unable to shake her, even had he desired to do so. She was omnipresent.
He sighed. He needed to see her again.
Resigned, he set off on a fitful trot through the farm. This was their farm, his and hers. Granny Smith, too old, Apple Bloom, too young. No, the delights of cultivating this secluded patch of Equestria belonged only to the pair. He glanced around as he walked, searching. Dozens of trees already bucked, hundreds of apples neatly stacked in their appropriate containers. This was the livelihood of the farm, of the family. Their handiwork kept the food on the table, kept the loves of their lives going. They truly made an excellent team, complementing each other like lock and key.
His gaze penetrated the thick forest, scanning for her. His ears were perked - eager for the telltale echo of a recently emptied branches. He panicked after only a few minutes of fruitless searching. Breaking into a full gallop, the thoughts of her continued to assault him. He wanted her. He needed her, right now. A desperate, pitiable cry of her name almost escaped his lips as a sharp crack, emanating from somewhere up ahead, reverberated through their woods, destroying any question he had as to her presence. He smiled, came to a stop, and recomposed himself.
Attracted to the signal of proximity like it was the song of a siren, he wandered in its direction, emerging from the thickest part of the forest into area comparatively sparse. On a small hill containing but a single tree at its zenith, he saw her.
As if Celestia herself stood in awe of his sister’s rustic beauty, the sun was lowering itself submissively behind the hill on which the Earth Pony stood. The fiery orb shrunk, casting the pale orange of near-twilight over the area. Despite his desire to be as close to her as he possibly could, the divine sublimity of the entire scene forced the red workpony to a stop, his legs uncharacteristically quivering in anticipation and awe.
She covered in sweat, just as he, though her's a purely physical response. Glancing backwards as another kick was aimed at the singular tree, she raised her strong legs and bucked backwards, sending another loud crack through the forest and causing the tree to vibrate intensely. The apples, however, were stubborn, and only a few surrendered to the strength of the blonde Earth pony. He was sure, had he been closer, he would have heard a cuss of some kind in response to this. She grit her teeth and placed another powerful kick squarely in the middle of the trunk. The tree swayed violently in response, and released its fruits to the earth. Her characteristic hat fell off of her as a result of her efforts. She leaned down, picked it up and swung it back to cover her mane in a familiar set of movements. When she returned her gaze upwards and glanced around for the next unbucked tree, her eyes fell on her brother - marching towards her with determination.
Applejack grinned, and started trotting towards him.
They met at the base of the hill, both of them drenched in sweat and panting slightly from exertion. They stared at each other, neither of them saying anything. Big Macintosh could only paw the ground nervously at the sight of his little sister, and the grin she now wore purely from his presence.
"Shoot, Big Macintosh, you done with your crop of apples already? I was hopin' I'd be able to beat your record this time!"
He didn't say anything. He couldn't say anything. He was enraptured by her beauty. His body felt like it was on fire, a flame of passion and lust starting deep inside him and spreading out through his entire body. His face was flushed. Applejack noticed his strange behavior and her expression turned from one of happiness to one of genuine concern.
"You okay, Big Macintosh?" she asked, stepping closer to him. With the sun now shrunk to a tiny sliver on the horizon, the field around them became darker and darker. “You sure do look funny...”
"...yup..." he was finally able to stutter out. His eyes never left hers.
"...It's getting late out, Macintosh. Thinkin' about heading inside soon?" She asked, still concerned. He nodded in way of reply.
"...I have a few more trees to rustle, then I'll meet you back inside, okay?" Once more, he nodded. She smiled and leaned into him even closer. Wrapping her hooves around his neck, she pulled the big workhorse into a hug.
"You did real good today, big brother. I love you." she whispered, her lips brushing against his ear. She smelled of dirt and apples and sweat. He had to stifle a whimper.
After what seemed like an eternity, she finally allowed the embrace to break and pulled back. With a final wink and smile, she trotted off to collect the last batch of fruits for the day, leaving Big Macintosh standing there, shivering.
When she neared the edge of the field, she turned around, nervously, but Big Macintosh had already disappeared. She hoped he didn't notice how red her face was, or how much her limbs quivered when she pulled him close. Applejack, having worked on the farm all her life, was more than apt to notice the symptoms of a needy animal, and she saw them completely evident in her brother. She wondered which mare in town had captured his imagination, and chuckled lightly whenever she thought it might be one of her friends. She must have been a fine mare to have him acting the way he did. He was so, well...big. She tried to shake such dirty thoughts from her mind whenever they cropped up, but had long ago given up on abandoning them completely.
And who could blame her? She'd grown up with him always at her side. Despite the chaos that occupied her early years, she always had him there for her. She shared her loves with him, and her pain. He the most important pillar in the foundation of her life.
So when they had grown, and Granny Smith had sat the two of them down and, with clinical efficiency, explained the mechanics of reproduction to the growing foals, how could she avoid thinking about him? She'd seen animals mate on the farm, and she's been near Big Macintosh long enough that every inch of his body was familiar. He, inexorably, became the inevitable bar to which every stallion in her life was compared to, and found lacking. Even during her very first moment of sexual intimacy, when, in a drunk and excited fit of passion, she ran behind the building that hosted her senior prom with her date, she found her thoughts drawn to him. As she stumbled through the movements and awkwardly gave herself to an equally nervous stallion, she wondered, however briefly, how Big Macintosh performed his first time. She wondered how much her brother knew about the art of love-making, and how he pleasured his first mare, whoever she had been. The stallion's size certainly begged comparison to Big Mac's. And when that same stallion broke her heart two months later, she was once more compelled to thoughts of her brother, and she knew he would never hurt her like that.
She knew she shouldn't be having thoughts like this about her big brother. No one had to tell her how wrong it was. The fact that her breathing shouldn't grow ragged and short at the thought of him, or that her eyes shouldn't dart to his private area whenever he turned around, and that she shouldn't find herself growing hot and agitated as she stared was completely obvious to Applejack. The dreams she had, from which she would wake up, panting and frustratingly aroused, images of Big Macintosh fleeting from her consciousness, were wrong, she knew. Nothing would ever happen between the two of them, she knew. It was a purely biological response. She convinced herself that she was operating purely in the realm of fantasy, and that, one day, she'd leave Big Macintosh behind once she found the stallion of her dreams.

Applejack could already smell the delightful aroma of baked apples and cinnamon even as she marched up the long dirt road towards her house. Granny Smith and Applebloom already had dinner ready and on the table for her by the time walked into the kitchen, Winona hopped in excited circles around her.. Big Macintosh was already sitting there, shoveling his meal into mouth, but looked up whenever she walked into the dining room.
"Starved, Big Mac? Now I know why you were in such a rush out there! So hungry you even missed a few trees. Not like you, brother." she said, mock-admonishingly
He paused for a second, and blinked at her, the remnants of a destroyed apple pie dripping off of his muzzle and onto the messy tablecloth below him. Then, he grinned widely without a trace of guilt and dived back into the food. She shook her head, smiling, and moved to sit next to him. There was an expansive feast laid in front in them: Baked apples and apple fritters and apple pies and all sorts of other fruits and vegetables, most of which were rarely seen in meals on Sweet Apple Acres. There was a reason; it was a special day. The harvesting season had come to an end, and, if the initial estimates were anywhere close to accurate, they had pulled in one of their finest hauls in many years. Certainly, it was the most prosperous that Applejack and Big Macintosh had been old enough to participate in. Such an accomplishment deserved celebration, and thus the assortment of desserts and treats laid out in front of them. Applebloom excitedly moved from one end of the table to the other, explaining in a frenzied and shrill voice how she had help to construct each dish.
Applejack, barely listening, pulled in a few of the nearest foods and piled them onto a plate. She'd worked hard and nonstop all day and was ravenous. Picking up a baked apple, she rolled it around in her hooves and examined it for burns. After all, it was Applebloom who helped with these. Detecting nothing but perfection, she stuffed it into her mouth.. She couldn’t wait to sample them all, and picked up another baked good. Apple Bloom and Granny Smith chatted to each other at one end of the table, slowly eating their own comparatively diminutive meals.
She just swallowed down a large piece of apple crisp when she noticed, beside her, that Big Macintosh had stopped his meal. When she turned around to see what had interrupted the previously voracious pony, he was staring at her, his meal lying ignored on his plate. She laughed, perplexed. "Something wrong, Big Mac? Do I got something on my face?"
He recoiled as if struck and looked startled, as if he was stuck in a daze, and had just realized that she had noticed his staring. "No, AJ.” He coughed. “I was just lookin’ at...I mean, I just like..." he paused, "...your freckles," he concluded awkwardly, then dived for a glass of water, gulping it down to hide his embarrassment.
Applejack just stared at him at him while he seemed to content to pretend that nothing was ever said. "Well...alright then,” she responded, “Thanks, I 'spose." She could feel her own face glowing red.
An hour later, their meal finished, the family was sitting in front of the fireplace, listening to it crackle and spark. The flames cast deep shadows over the den. They conversed idly, talking about the past and the future. It was how the four of them typically ended the night, bellies full and delighting in the simple joys of warmth and family. Applebloom was still hopping around the room excitedly as Applejack and Big Macintosh whispered to each other, and Granny Smith's rocking chair creaked in regular intervals. But, like the filly she was, she soon wore herself out and was snuggling in between her siblings, and her stories and excited proclamations soon gave way to a light snoring. As usual, Granny Smith gently shook her awake and guided the now lethargic filly to her bed.
It was just the two of them alone, now. Big Macintosh didn't stir until he noticed his little sister stand up herself. He was pulled out of his content listfulness and turned to look at her. "Going to bed so soon?"
She tossed him a knowing smile and whispered, "I'll be right back." He watched her until she trotted from the room, staring at her ample rump swaying as she trotted, then turned back to the fire.
He wasn't sure how long he could keep this up. Even now, his entire body was aching just from being so close to her. It was a dull pain of desperation that made it difficult to concentrate on anything else. It was hard to classify it as simple desire; after all, he gave himself relief before but the urges he felt whenever he was around Applejack were something else entirely. They reached into a much more primal, a much deeper sense of need. Forced to live with a mare as perfect as Applejack but unable to act on his desires, he felt like he was a cursed stallion, forever caged by familial obligations. It was all he could do to ignore the erection under him, and to hope that Applejack didn't identify the source of his strange behavior. He's not sure he could live with himself if his trusting little sister ever learned how much he lusted after her and all the things that he wanted to do to her.
He heard her return to the room as he struggled with himself, internally, and tried to think about something else, about anything else. Applejack returned to her place beside him with a plop and set a basket down between the two of them. In it was a variety of bottles, clinking against each other, all musty and smelling of dirt from the cellar. Apple wines and apple ciders and apple whiskeys populated the container, a variety of multicolored labels and signs indicating the variety. All of the bottles were vintage, aged, and unopened.
"Well, Big Macintosh?” Applejack said, with a sly smile as she reached for one of the whiskeys. “I'd say it's time we get around to doin' some real celebratin'."
They hoped they wouldn't wake up Applebloom. Now loud and laughing, the two of them shared stories and tales back and forth just like they shared the contents of the three empty bottles that rolled around under them. Going shot for shot with a stallion as large as Big Macintosh wasn't a good decision on Applejack's part, and she found herself swaying and laughing at nothing. Her entire body felt warm and fuzzy. Big Macintosh, laughing himself, had to pull her back down to the floor when she stood up and started dancing to music only she could hear and almost knocked over an endtable. Her tales ended halfway through with a fit of irrelevant laughter as often as she actually finished them. Big Macintosh didn't show it, but he was almost as drunk as her. The fire got smaller and smaller as their conversations carried them into the early hours of the morning. They knew, somewhere in the depths of their addled mind, that they'd regret this in the morning, but at the moment, the alcohol was performing its proper duty of inhibiting such high-minded concerns.
They grew more solemn as the night went on, and they, already exhausted from the day’s activities, pulled out a blanket and curled up on the floor, draping it over them. The stories they told turned from joviality and toward fond memories and lost friends, and they inched closer and closer until Big Macintosh was holding his sister in her hooves, both of them staring at the embers of the fire, warming each other with their bodies.
"I love you, Big Macintosh," Applejack said after a few minutes of silence.
There was no sound but the crickets chirping and the last popping death throes of the fire. He didn't reply, but instead, turned her towards him and kissed her on the lips. She giggled into his mouth, and pushed back. His breath tasted, unsurprisingly, of sweet apples. He let the kiss go on much longer than normal, and, when she felt his tongue poking into her mouth, she pulled back. This was not the kiss of an affectionate brother.
"Woah, nelly." She pulled away from him. "Getting awful friendly there, sugarcube," she said with a nervous smile.
He smiled slightly, and moved forward and kissed her again. Maybe it was the liquid courage coursing through her veins or the fact that she hadn't done this with anypony in years, but she didn't pull back, and when she felt his tongue again, she let it into her mouth, and put hers in his. This kiss seemed to last an eternity, with the two of them murmuring and mumbling and moaning into each other's mouths, the flame crackling and popping. Applejack’s eyes were shut tight as she shared a passionate kiss with her brother.
When, at last, she was forced to pull away to take in a deep breath, she could say nothing. She stared at Big Macintosh as the two of them panted, their mouths covered in their conjoined saliva from their sloppy, drunk kissing. "B-Big Macintosh..." she was finally able to articulate.
Almost as if spurred into action by her words, her brother gently pushed her on her back and lumbered over her. It was then, with him towering over her, that she truly realized just how big her brother was. She, normally confident and assured in her own strength, felt like a tiny little filly under him, and the sight of his muscles and bulk rippling as he stood over her, his massive body completely enveloping hers, made her quiver. There was something large and wet resting on her stomach, and she knew what it was, and what it meant. Gulping, nervous, she could smell his musk, and the heady scent of it was causing her to shiver.
His face was just inches from hers and he was silent. There was something about his eyes, some part of him that was always lying just under the surface, something that was only hinted in the past with a casual glance or physical suggestion. Now that part was dominating, and it was obvious what he wanted. There was no mistaking the way he was staring down at her, his eyes sparkling in the faint light. He didn't just see his little sister under him anymore.
"Big M-macintosh..." she said again, unsure what she wanted to tell him.
"I want you," her brother blurted out suddenly. Like it was the final crack in the dam, the slurry of words surged out of him naturally. "I want you, AJ. I've always wanted you. I don't know how or why but I want you so bad and I can't even think when you're around me. I haven't looked at another mare in years. Please, AJ, I need you more than anything."
She stared back at, her eyes widening. The pounding of his heart was audible, and she could feel her own beating harshly in her chest. He stared down at her as if waiting for her response, as if she could muster any at this point. In the confused and dizzy state Applejack now occupied, the only she could do was whimper. The haze of alcohol made it difficult to cognize anything significant, or to connect errant actions with pesky consequences. From the very few thoughts that made their way clearly into her mind, it was obvious what option her dulled sensibilities were leaning towards. The way he snorted and pawed at the floor with one of his massive forehooves like an animal motivated entirely by bestial needs showed that Big Macintosh could probably smell it. It was a side of her brother she'd never seen, and despite all her recurring dreams that begun in one of a hundred versions of this scenario, it made her frightened.
"W-we can't, Macintosh," she whispered. She struggled and pushed against him as she wiggled back and forth, sliding out from under him. He instantly relented and backed up, allowing her egress from underneath his body. She'd never been more confused in her life, and a plethora of emotions flooded through her, conflicting and fighting for dominance. Confronting the situation in the only manner she could, with a last, fleeting glance at her brother, who was staring at her, looking possibly more frightened than even her, and an unvoiced apology, she fled from the room.
Big Macintosh stood, silently, for a minute, then collapsed on the blanket, and shoved his head under his hooves.
Applejack whined in anguish when the comfort of sleep fell away to harsh reality. The sun hit her eyes and she cursed Celestia idly for not leaving it lowered for just a few more hours. Her head throbbed in pain, yelling at her for the copious consumption she partook in the prior night. She sat up in bed, and and it felt like every nerve of her body was screaming in protest. The room, lit from a high-noon sun, smelled strangely, like stale air mixed with sweat and a mare in heat. It reminded Applejack of the days when she first discovered the pleasures of flesh, and would spend a day cooped up in her home, rediscovering every single inch of her body just to see how it felt. She was sore and aching as she hopped out of bed, stumbling slightly. Glancing around the plain room for her hat, she she gently prodded her recollection in an effort to recall the previous night. It was almost all a haze, lost to the obfuscation of inebriation, but there was a single event that stood out clearly, stark against the haze.
"Shoot, Big Macintosh," she said to herself, then, suddenly feeling dizzy, leaned against the bedstand, "You big dumb pony..." Why'd he have to go and say something like that? Normally, she would have just assumed it was the alcohol talking, but there was something about the way he talked that dissuaded her from that notion. A stallion simply overcome from drunk lust wouldn't talk and act like that. She regretted leaving him in the way she did, fleeing like a scared little kitten, but what else could she have done? She wasn't exactly in the right sorts either. The poor stallion was probably tearing himself up about it.
"Stupid...we're siblings!" she mumbled as she tore apart her room, tossing blankets and pillows haphazardly in search of her omnipresent garment. "I'm your sister...we can't be doing things like that...I oughta hit you..." She wondered, for a brief moment, who she was trying to convince.
Defeated in her efforts, she left out a resigned sigh and trotted out her door and down the steps. It became clear that the house was completely empty, and, after drinking her weight in water in desperate attempt to rehydrate herself and grabbing an apple to eat, she discovered a note on the kitchen table. Dear applejack + big Macintosh, it read, in Applebloom's childlike scribbles that was her excuse for handwriting, me and granny smith went to town. be back later tonight! love, Applebloom. At the bottom of the note, her little sister had drawn what appeared to be a bizarre caricature of the family, with a big bright pink heart enveloping all of them.
Smiling at the simple innocence of the note, she set it back down on the table and resumed her search. Expecting to find Big Macintosh still snoring in front of the smoldering fireplace, she instead was surprised to find that somepony had already removed all the bottles they had emptied. All that was left was the crumpled blanket and - aha! - her hat. Letting out a joyous woop, she ran over and swung it over her hair, finally feeling relieved. The memory suddenly came back to her. It had fallen off of her head whenever Big Macintosh had pushed her onto her back the previous night and stood over her like a predator.
They needed to talk. Leaving the room, she wandered throughout the lifeless house. When she passed by a hallway, she caught herself in a mirror, and grimaced. She looked like a wreck. Her mane was a tangled and unkempt mess, and spots of dirt covered her body in bizarre patterns. Her fur was mangled and matted and sticky with spilled wine and sweat. The bags under her eyes told an entire story about the quality of her sleep the prior night. Big Macintosh could wait, right now, she needed a shower.
Big Macintosh stood under the water as it poured down on him. His eyes were shut, and he was completely motionless. Content to sit in the outdoor shower and let the water attempt to wash away the shame, he made no effort to clean himself. Thoughts and half-formed plans to flee the farm or apologize swept over his mind, but they all had a common thread - his relationship with Applejack had irrevocably changed. He had spent the last two hours like this, and would have been satisfied to spend the next week or so under the water. Unfortunately, that ambition ended whenever he heard the door to the large shower room open and shut. Without turning around, he knew who it was.
"Big Macintosh," he heard his sister say, her voice somewhat relieved. "There you are! I've been looking for you." He heard Applejack's hooves clop against the ground as she walked closer to him. He couldn't say anything to her, shame and embarrassment catching the words in the throat.
"I...I think we need to talk a little bit about what happened last night." He knew that was coming, and quickly abandoned any notions that she'd forgotten his confession or would somehow be content to ignore it.
"I don't think I can stand to see you right now, Applejack," he told her, his voice shaking.
That's when he felt her rub against him, their wet bodies brushing against each other and sending a spark down his back. She spoke, right next to him, whispering directly into his ear. "I want you too, you big lug," she said, both sensually and mockingly.
In an instant, his misery evaporated. Every part of his body yearned to tackle his sister to the ground and take her right there, but he restrained himself as he felt his erection growing from her simple confession. "W-what do you mean, AJ? What about last night?" He opened his eyes and looked over at his sister, who was blushing and wearing a small smile, the corners of her mouth twitched upwards, obviously nervous.
In response, she leaned forward and kissed him. He was surprised for moment, then allowed himself to fall into it. They mirrored their passionate kiss from the previous night, though this time with more affinity for each other. Without inebriation impeding them, they seemed to naturally know what to do to please each other. The hot water hit their manes and ran down their face as they continued to lock their muzzles together. When Big Macintosh broke the kiss, she expected him to lean him with a shocked, excited look on his face. Instead, to her surprise, he dove for her neck and started nibbling and kissing it. She moaned into his ear as he assaulted her in all the right places.
"S-stop it, Big Mac..." she said, shuddering, against all her desires. He gave her one last bite on the side of her neck, then pulled back. His expression made his confusion unnecessary to voice. "I want to. I really do you. You do too, I reckon." She smiled.
"But we can't! You know we can't. It's just not right. What would Granny think if she found us doin' something like this? We could kiss the farm goodbye! Applebloom and Granny'd have to run the place themselves! How would we explain this to Apple Bloom? Gosh darn it, Big Macintosh, you're my brother." My big, strong, powerful, sexy, endowed, brother...
She pulled him into a slippery hug and sighed contentedly as his strong forearms wrapped around her. "We just can't," she said, her tone conclusory. "We'll just have to get over this okay? We'll both find someponies else to distract us and forget this ever happened!"
Her brother stood, and was silent for a long time after she let him go, as if he was still absorbing all the information. She began washing him as she washed herself, lathering the two of them down with soap and a sponge. Finally, he nodded. It was torture for the workhorse, knowing that the mare he wanted more than anything in the world wanted him back, but they were both powerless to do anything about it. She was correct, though, as always. Despite how much he longed for it, there was nothing he could do. He thought, maybe, now that she knew the truth, he would be afforded some catharsis, but his desires were simply amplified tenfold. Applejack rubbed down his back, untying his knots and massaging him in his favorite spots, he grunted in pleasure.
"Now turn over so I can wash your stomach, you filthy horse," she said, squeezing out the sponge.
He, after a second of indecision, obeyed, turning over, the water from the shower now splashing on his chest.
Applejack gasped, and exhaled in a sharp whistle. "Golly..." she whispered in awe. Her brother was laying on his back, staring up at her, but her eyes didn't meet his. Instead, she was transfixed by the erection that Big Macintosh had just put on full display. It was as long and thick as one of her limbs, mottled black and red. Applejack couldn't help but stare at it, her eyes widening and her jaw feeling like it hit the floor. She knew he was big, but, apparently, it had been far too long since she had seen him up close, she didn't know he was that big. She finally, after staring at it twitch on her brother's stomach, blinked and laughed at her own enamoredness. "Wow," she concluded, finally.
"Like anything you see, Appletart?" he mocked, his own nervousness now replaced with elation at his sister's reaction.
She shot him a look, but didn't deny anything as she moved in closer, wetting the sponge and beginning to wash down Big Macintosh's stomach, her hooves shaking the entire time. "Wow," she reiterated, only semi-aware of it. The water dripped and flowed down her body, both of them now absolutely soaked. When her sponge had moved over every inch of his upper half, she started going lower and lower as he watched, barely content to let her make her own pace. The sponge brushed up against his cock, finally, and a moan escaped his lips, unbidden, his hips bucking slightly into the air in desperation.
"Gosh...I've never seen anypony need it this bad...when's the last time you were with a mare, Big Macintosh?" He didn't answer and she didn't expect one, but still continued staring at him in awe.
