Twilight nodded at Celestia as she proceeded to drink her tea, for Celestia's motherly company was comforting and she needed it now more than ever, her brother was off fighting, defending Equestria from the griffons. Griffons had a reputation for being stubborn and demanded that Equestria gave them a share of riches and now they start a 'civil' war, cause they claim they were ten bits short.Twilight shook her head and smiled lightly as she looked up from her tea.

"those griffons are cheap huh?"

"indeed they burn down buildings if they don't get the latest outfits"Celestia chuckled.Twilight's smile grew wider,it was nice spending time with Celestia like when she was a filly the princess's responsibility absorbed most of her time so just siting here with her sharing a joke, was more than she could ask for.The door swung open leaving a loud thump causing twilight to jump out of her chair her levitation spell thankfully keeping the tea from staining the rug or her coat.Setting the tea on the table she shot daggers at the intruder ,he was carrying a letter.

"oh! sorry miss!" he gasped

twilight sighed and her eyes softened "um it's fine so..." it was here that she got a good look at him,he was wears a soldiers armor."oh! do you have news of the war?"she asked. The stallion shifted in his armor as if afraid to tell her.

"you could say that..." he hastily handed her the letter and walked to the door before saying sorrowful "i-i'm sorry for your loss"
