I work in an eerie place deep underground. The only bright side of my work is that you get to see rainbows all the time. You can never ever leave this place. I heard that there were people who left the factory but had to be placed in rehab for the rest of their lives. Well. I want to talk about my boss but I only have a limited time to write this journal. My boss’s name is Glaze. He always takes care of me because I am the youngest mare in the factory. I’m only 12. I’m writing this journal because I want to share my experience here. “Get back to work Kristen.” Glaze says with a gentle voice.  So I went back to work and everything was normal. Except for an incident. We were making rainbows like we usually do. Since it was Tuesday we only had a half-day of work. We got a break at 1:15.  I was so thrilled yet bored when we had the half-day. I wanted to see what was wrong with Glaze because he seemed sad at something earlier today. Ok back to talking about the incident. So it was Tuesday at 12:00 pm at night. We were making rainbows when suddenly the pony that was about to be turned into rainbows was a friend of Glaze. It was Pony Joe. I was in shock when I found out it was my best friend also.  Pony Joe is one of my best friends. “Glaze, We have Pony Joe here do you want him to be cut or spared?” I said cautiously. “Wait did you say Pony Joe?” Glaze responded with a scared tone in his voice. “Hi Glaze” Pony Joe said like he was really scared.  “Hi Pony Joe. Spare him Kristen he can work here even though he is an earth pony.” Glaze said trying not to cry. “Are you ok Glaze?” I asked being worried.”Leave me alone I’m fine!!” He yelled and started crying. I was worried for him ever since that day. I didn’t know how to help him. Pony Joe is nice but being a vice boss he is so bossy it’s just weird. He yells at us constantly and has found a partner named Snowy Breeze to help him boss us. I have complained to Glaze but he keeps saying, “Pony Joe is my best friend and I will talk to him about it don’t worry about it.” Snowy is the only nicest worker and treats me like her little sister. She keeps saying to me to make me feel better, “Pony Joe just wants work and he doesn’t care about anypony except for his wife Artsy. He only cares about her because she is pregnant with his only daughter and is in Saddle Arabia.” He won’t care about me even though I keep telling him I’m a worker that is very young. I keep saying to him,” Pony Joe I’m 12 please stop bossing me that way.You’re going to make me cry....” He responds in a yelling tone,” Get back to work faggot!!!” He is the meanest worker and I can almost sense that he is crying inside because he looks lonely whenever he yells at me. One day I went to his office and started to sing Learn to be Lonely from The Phantom of the Opera. He started crying so hard that I thought he was going to yell at me again but he did not. All he said was this,” Kristen I’m sorry that I yelled at you before and it won’t happen again. I’m so sorry.” All I said after I hugged him was,” Pony Joe it is ok I forgive you.” I have never spoken to him ever since that day because he won’t talk to me. I think he might be afraid of me. Pony Joe told me one day that his wife Artsy died in a car accident. I started crying hysterically. When I gave him my song that I wrote for him he gently sang it to himself: Hey BronyDanceParty, Hey BronyDanceParty, Hey BronyDanceParty I think you’re a very good friend. After he sang the song he fainted. I do not know why he fainted but all I could do is try to get him to the hospital. I screamed and Glaze came in saying, “What’s wrong Kristen??” “Pony Joe fainted after singing a song I wrote for him” “You shouldn’t have written the song Kristen. He faints when people are kind to him because he has never experienced that before in his life ever since Artsy died. He still has his child but he has to get her from Saddle Arabia. He has suffered tragic times in his life. He is basically like The Phantom from The Phantom of the Opera.” “Oh so it’s my fault he fainted.” “Yes it is now you should be ashamed of yourself!” “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make him faint. I’m just trying to help him.” I started crying. Glaze was scaring me. I saw Pony Joe wake up. Glaze yelled, “KRISTEN YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE DONE THAT YOU FAGGOT!!!” Pony Joe almost cried when he saw Glaze yelling at me so he said, “She didn’t do anything wrong now leave her alone she is only 12 get it straight Glaze!!!” “SHE MADE YOU FAINT!!!” “I would have died for her sake if it means protecting her from you.”
