One Less Smile

RainbowDash was at the Wonderbolts training camp flying everywhere performing various exercises. The wind flowing through her mane and the sun warming her wings. All was good in the land of Equestria. She had final become a lead flyer after the small tornado incident a few days earlier in the camp. Finally all her dreams were coming true. She was going to be a Wonderbolt and celebrate with all her friends.

Weeks went by and she only received a few letter from her friends saying that they were all right from the tornado. Most days she got mail but one week she got no mail. RainbowDash wondered what was happening. She wanted to make a trip to check on her friends but she had to stay in the camp if she were to become a Wonderbolt.

"The post office must had gotten a lot of mail and its taking more time to deliver it." she said to herself. A few more days passed and still no mail. RainbowDash started to worry about her friends. "Are they alright" she wondered. Finally Rainbow got tired of waiting and made a trip to Ponyville.

When she got there everything seemed more glum and dark. No one was smiling and no one was happy. She knocked on the door to Twilights house, but there was no answer. "Whats going on here?" RainbowDash asked herself. She was trying to ask some ponies what was going on, but everypony just walked away with not a sound. It was starting to get dark and wondered if she should start heading back to the Wonderbolt Camp. She started to trot to the outer part of Ponyville.

Just when she though she'd never find what happened she saw it. There, In the ground was a gray stone with a picture and a inscription on it. The carved picture was balloons that looked familiar and the inscription read "Never stop smiling". Just then Rainbow knew who was under this stone.

Her eyes began to fill with tears as she looked at the stone. Then out of no where a faint picture of PinkiePie appeared standing there looking at her.

Pinkie said "All you really need a smile to fill my heart up with sunshine" and then vanished. RainbowDash was in disbelief that her friend was really gone. She now sat there crying all alone now that there was one less smile in the world.
