She had been exploring some of the shelves in the basement that had held many ancient books. Their fragile condition had forced her to be very careful with each lest she inadvertently destroy them in her studies. Several of the books she had already investigated were little more than folklore from long ago and since forgotten by all save the royal sisters. One volume was the journal of the ancient explorer Garwin and was filled with pictures and notes of the exotic creatures that she encountered on her journeys through some distant islands. The cracked brown leather of the cover of the book in front of her bore a large stamp of a shooting star coming from behind a cloud, a symbol that she had never encountered before. She once again wondered who could possibly have written it. The large book contained page after page of spells, none of them she had ever seen before and all of them at first glance looked very difficult. She was certain that a book such as this must have once been the private spell book of a powerful wizard, but she had never heard of any that might have used a symbol such as this. Of smaller concern to her was how such a book as this could have ended up here, in simple old Ponyvllle. The last time she had even glimpsed something like this was back in Canterlot. Her mentor, Princess Celestia, maintained a vault where she kept a large array of powerful spell books safely locked away. Twilight had once caught a peek of the room with the massive books on the shelves as her teacher was coming out, but had never been allowed to enter it herself. Looking up at the clock on the wall, Twilight was startled to realize that the reading that had only seemed to last a few minutes had in fact been almost three hours. It was getting well into the afternoon by now, but the basement had no windows and was illuminated only by a well-placed lamp. The first spell in the book was a very long one. Just the pre-casting preparation had taken several pages to detail, and the spell itself could have filled a small book on its own. It was an extremely difficult spell, and the book wasn’t very clear on exactly what it did. She was anxious to find out though, but spike was out running errands around Ponyville. Maybe one of her other friends would be willing to give her a hoof. This was Fluttershy’s and Rarity’s day at the spa, and she knew that Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash had planned something for today, so that left Applejack as the only one who might be free. Blowing out the lamp, she headed upstairs. She found Pumpkin Spice in her room, and let her know that she would be going out for a little bit. Leaving the library, she set off at an easy trot for Sweet Apple Acres. It was another beautiful fall day as she traveled out past the edges of Ponyville. A few birds chirped in the cool air, but most animals had already started hibernating, and no sign of them was to be found. Soon enough, the rest of the birds that did fly south for the winter would be, and the town would again be waiting in silence for the snows to come. Arriving at the Apple farm, she began her search for her orange friend. She found applejack in the big red barn, sliding her way into the harness of a cart. “Hello Applejack!” Applejack looked over and smiled at her, “Well Howdy Twilight!” then grunted as she finally slipped the harness into place. “What brings yew ‘round here t’day?” “I’ve been working on a new spell that I found, and I want to try out. I was wondering if you could help me out with it. Everyone else is busy doing things.” “Well geez Twilight, I would love ta help ya out, but ah gotta collect the apples from the east field. There’s gonna be a freeze ta’night and I gotta get em inta the cellar a‘fore nightfall, otherwise they’ll all be ruined.” Twilight’s face fell, “Oh, ok.” Applejack broke into a bright smile, her green eyes twinkling as an idea struck her, “But I bet Big Mac could give yew a hand. He got ta work on ‘is chores real early today, and he should be just about done by now I reckon. I think he headed out to the north field so ya might check there first.” Twilight perked up, “Yeah! That’s a great idea! Thanks Applejack!” She turned and left, trotting her way happily towards the north field. A few rotten apples littered the ground, scattered among the leaves that had already fallen, and a squirrel worked at burying the precious nuts that created a bulge in its cheeks. Twilight soon found the large red stallion near the edge of the field hammering a fallen fence cross bar back into place. Wham! Wham! Wham! Though Twilight made no effort to conceal her approach, Big Macintosh was so focused on what he was doing, and the hammer was so noisy that he didn't hear her coming up behind him. One last swing of the hammer drove the nail firmly into place, and Big Macintosh returned the tool to the saddlebag sitting on the ground nearby. He turned and was slightly surprised to see her standing there, smiling at him. “Hello there Big Mac, how’s it going?” “Just fine, miss Twilight. Just finishin up some repairs around the farm‘s all. There somethin’ I ken do for ya?” “Applejack said you might have some free time to help me with a project of mine. Everyone else is busy doing other things, or I would have asked them.” Twilight looked at him hopefully. Big Macintosh had never really spent much time with his sister’s friends, though he did know them from their frequent visits to the farm. Even still, he was more than happy to help any ponyfolk, especially anypony that applejack counted as a friend. “Well I s’pose I can spare a tick ta lend a hand. What all d’ya need?” “There’s a new spell that I just found, and I really, really want to try it out, but I need somepony else to do it, I can’t do it by myself.” The change in Big Macintosh’s body language was subtle, and Twilight didn’t know him well enough to catch it. He had grown up on the apple farm, and had worked the farm every day with his strong back and powerful legs. For him, the sweat on his brow and the aching muscles from a hard day’s work were his life and he understood these things well. And although he had always been aware of the potent magics that flowed through the land of Equestria, it was as much a mystery to him as walking on clouds. It had always made him nervous whenever any of his unicorn friends used magic around him, and he did his best to avoid coming into direct contact with it himself. He hesitated, about to turn his sisters magical friend down, but the pleading look on her face dissolved his reservations in an instant. “Well, ah s’pose. What exactly is this spell s’posed to do?” Twilight’s smile lost a little of its confidence, “Well, actually, I’m not sure. The spell was kind of vague on what it’s supposed to do. That’s why I need someone to test it out on.” Big Mac blinked at her. “So anyways, the spell said that it’s supposed to give the somepony ‘more of whatever they have’. When applejack suggested that I see if you could give me a hand I knew you would be just perfect for it. “ Big Mac blinked at her again, still silent. “So, all I need you to do is just stand there. You don’t need to worry about a thing, I do this sort of thing all the time. Are you ready?” Big Mac nodded slowly, still a little unsure, “Eeyup.” The purple unicorn squared her legs and aimed her horn at him, clearing her thoughts. Big Mac, for lack of anything better to do, simply stood there, allowing her to work. Twilight focused her thoughts into her horn, working her way through the pre-spell incantations. Her mind swirled as magical energy began to build up deep within her body, and a slight glow began to show itself on her small horn. Several minutes passed, but finally Twilight took a deep breath as she finished the pre-spell sequence. The magical energy that had accumulated was more than she had ever tried to manipulate before, and her body vibrated with the barely controlled power swirling around inside her. Breathing deeply in an effort to steady herself, she once again channeled her thoughts into her horn, feeling the massive reservoir of magic pushing against her own mental blocks, wanting to force its way out through her horn to run free through Equestria. Her horn glowed brighter and brighter, and Mac felt a tingling all over his body as he noticed that he was glowing a bright yellow color himself. He was startled at his own luminescence, but was careful to maintain his composure so that he wouldn’t distract Twilight. The last thing he wanted was to mess up the spell and have something go horribly wrong. The light from her horn grew brighter and brighter, and the yellowish light enveloping Big Mac also grew in intensity. Twilight had been very careful to think out each word in the spell exactly as it had been noted in the spell book. A single mis-thought could have all sorts of unforeseen consequences, and the last thing she wanted was to trap Big Mac in some alternate dimension, turn him into stone or any number of other horrible fates that she could imagine. She put that thought aside, and focused on the task at hand. The spell was a very long and complex one, requiring her to weave her thoughts into the tangled web of incantations that she was channeling through her horn. The minutes passed, Big Mac stood there glowing nervously. Sweat broke out on Twilight’s brow above her clenched shut eyes, as she concentrated completely on the red stallion in front of her. That’s when it happened. Twilight had been carefully manipulating the insane flow of magic out of her body, but in a moment of very mortal weakness, she slipped. Her eyes snapped open, “OH NO!” and she gasped as the floodgates were torn away, and the remaining magic that she had been holding back rushed through her body, exploding around the two of them in a blinding flash of brilliant light that tore their senses away. Mac didn’t even have a chance to react before the blast of uncontrolled magic burned its way through his mind and body, obliterating his consciousness and throwing him into a deep blackness. Twilight tried at the last instant to redirect the violent flow of energy, but was cast aside from by the mad rush of energy, her own consciousness fading away. Pain. A deep, insistent pain, throbbing from somewhere beyond the darkness that Twilight languished in. It called to her, beckoned her to join it somewhere far off. She didn’t want to. It was warm and safe and comfortable where she was. But the pain would have none of that. Its calls became more and more strident, screaming at her to WAKE UP! She reluctantly gave in, slowly feeling her consciousness rise back into the world. She blinked her eyes groggily, trying to get them to focus. Finally bringing the world into perspective around her, she realized she was lying on the ground. It was then that she noticed the other pony lying on the ground in front of her, blinking back at her. Her mind couldn’t make sense of what she was seeing. Also, there seemed to be a weight around her neck that hadn’t been there before. Reaching up, she felt…a….something around her neck. It sat like a wooden ring across her shoulders. A yoke? She looked again at the prone form in front of her, still utterly confused about what she was seeing. There, a few feet away, lay…herself! She tried to speak, “Wha-“, but cut herself off with a choking cough when the voice she heard was not her own, but a warm country drawl. Her mouth dropped in shock, as did that of the other Twilight. They both looked down at their hooves. Red! Purple! But not where they were supposed to be! Twilight looked down at her red, poorly trimmed fetlocks, and Big Mac looked down at the purple coat on his own legs. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” They both started hollering, yelling at the top of their lungs as they alternated from staring at each other and back down at their own hooves. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!” screamed Twilight, only to be matched by Big Mac hollering right back at her. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!” After several minutes of them hollering at the top of their lungs, they finally both stopped. Sheer exhaustion finally choked their throats closed. They sat there huffing, staring at each other, unable to think, unable to wrap their minds around what they were seeing. Unsurprisingly, it was Twilight who managed to think of something to say, “What-“, again she stopped, caught freshly off guard by the alien voce coming from her throat. Pushing aside her doubts, she tried again, “What happened?” The Twilight sparkle sitting there in front of her simply blinked, apparently unable to respond. “Big Mac? Is-is that you?” She shuddered when she heard her own voice coming from the Twilight in front of her, “Eeyup…” Big Mac reached up a purple hoof to feel at his own throat, the strange voice coming out of it scaring him more than any thunderstorm over the farm ever had. Big Mac, in Twilights body spoke again, “What’s goin’ on? Did the spell work?” Twilight, in Big Mac’s body replied, “No, it didn’t. I messed up, and it went horribly, horribly wrong. I lost control, and I think that all the magic energy I couldn’t control somehow caused us to switch bodies.” As the implications of this sunk home, Big Mac tried to struggle up on his newfound purple hooves, but flopped uselessly on the ground. Twilight also made an attempt to stand, but found her powerful stallion legs to be made of jelly, and flopped down once again on the ground herself. After several more struggled attempts on both their parts, they finally managed to get their legs under them and stood there smiling at each other for just a moment until the reality of their situation struck them again. Big Mac spoke up, his voice trembling in fear, “Well, now what?” Twilight thought for a moment, “I think we should head back to library, and fast. I’m sure I can find a way to undo this…accident back there.” She tried to smile reassuringly at…herself, but found it too odd and settled instead for a rather neutral expression, much like the kind she saw Big Mac wearing most of the time. She tried to take a step forward, and nearly fell smack on her face again. “Clearly, it’s going to take a little bit to get used to these new bodies.” She still cringed at the sound of her new voice, but as she spoke more she was becoming more comfortable with it. Taking a few cautious steps, they began working on getting used to working with their new conditions. As Twilight became more and more familiar with her new body, she was thrilled to discover how strong Big Mac’s body was. She had always known that earth ponies such as the Apples who worked on farms tended to be a lot stronger than unicorns, but it wasn’t until now, being in Big Mac’s skin, that she fully comprehended just how strong they really were. She flexed her hind legs, feeling the massive muscles ripple under her coat. The feeling of sheer power that she felt being in Big Macs body was intoxicating, she couldn’t get enough. She knew that at this moment she could probably outrun any pony in Ponyvile, including Applejack. She could spend all day bucking apples out of the trees, and if she felt so inclined could kick over a dead tree. Caught up in the thrill of it all, she started to prance a little bit, but thought better of it when she nearly tripped again. Big Mac, on the other hoof, was faced with quite a different situation. As much as Twilight was relishing her newfound physical strength, Big Mac was equally despondent over the loss of it. The unicorn body that he found himself in was so…weak, compared to his own body. He felt vulnerable, and for the first time in his life, truly afraid. He trembled, his new toothpick thin legs barely up to the task of holding himself up. “How could anypony live like this?” he thought to himself. There was no way he could buck apples, or even pull a cartload of them if he had to. What if he became trapped in this body forever? What would they do about the farm then? Panic began to seize control of him, his eyes darting back and forth. Fortunately, Twilight noticed his rising panic. Coming down from her excitement she quickly noticed the fear rising in Big Mac’s eyes. “Mac? Are you ok?” “Noope” It was still eerie for her to hear Big Mac speaking in her voice. “Calm down Big Mac, We’ll head to the library. I’m sure I have a book that will help us. Don’t worry about a thing, I’ve had mishaps like this before. Well, I guess not like this, but don’t worry about a thing, I’ve always managed to fix it.” As Twilight rambled on, trying to allay her own nervousness as much as his, she was pleased to see that Big Mac was beginning to calm down as well. The trembling in his legs was diminishing. Taking a deep breath, Twilight looked up. The sun was rising into the afternoon. If they were going to make it to the library to find a solution, they were going to have to hurry. “Big Mac? Do you think you can run?” As a test, Big Mac took a halting step forward. His legs wobbled, and he almost cried as the feeling of helplessness swept over him again. “Ah, ah don’t think so.” Twilight frowned in frustration, but was determined to fix this. She did feel bad of course. She had caused this after all. Big Mac was obviously distraught about the whole affair and it was all her fault. Moving over to him, she stepped to be flank to flank and draped her thick neck over what had been her smaller purple one. “It’s ok Mac. I’ll fix this.” Strangely enough, Big Mac found the tender contact from Twilight very comforting. Her sympathetic gesture, crossed as their bodies were, helped him to collect his wits. “Ah think ah’ll be awright now Twilight. Let’s just get inta town and get this fixed as fast as we ken.” Twilight straightened up, looking down at her body. Big Mac’s body really was big, she found herself standing nearly a full head taller than herself. Another thing that suddenly struck her was that she didn’t feel as cold all of a sudden. She had only stood side by side with Big Mac for a moment or two, so that didn’t explain why she suddenly felt a lot warmer. “Big Mac? Was it all that cold out here to you before we…you know, switched places?” Big Mac thought about it for a second, “Noope.” “Huh, you must have a thicker coat than me or something. Anyways, let’s get to the library.” Still mulling over this interesting detail, Twilight began leading the way across the apple orchard. Weaving their way through the trees, the road back to town came into view. Big Mac had been rather preoccupied by the whole thing, but as they approached the white fence that ran along the edge of the road, a thought struck him and he spoke up. “Um, Twilight?” She stopped and turned around. “Yes Mac? What is it?” “How are we supposed to explain this to anypony we run into?” Twilight frowned, “I hadn’t thought about that. I guess it would be a little awkward, huh? Maybe we should just stay off the paths and work our way around to the other side of the town where the library is.” Big Mac nodded, but didn’t move when Twilight began to turn away. She stopped, and looked quizzically at him. “Was there something else?” Big Mac blushed, and looked down as he pawed a hoof at the ground in front of him. “Well…” he began, but trailed off. “What is it Mac?” “Um, well, I think I kinda need to use the outhouse…” “Oh.” They stood there awkwardly, not sure what to do. Finally, Twilight broke the silence. “I don’t think it’s a good idea to head back to the farmhouse, you might run into someone there. Why don’t you just go behind that tree over there and…you know…take care of it.” Big Mac’s cheeks had turned a deep, rosy red, but he nodded in agreement and moved off behind the tree. Twilight turned her back, and did her best to ignore what was going on behind the tree. Her efforts were interrupted when Big Mac poked his head around the large apple tree and asked tentatively, “Twilight?” “Yeah?” “Uh, I dun really know…I mean…well, how exactly do ah…aim?” Twilight blinked in confusion, not sure exactly what he meant. Then it occurred to her, and she almost smacked herself for not thinking of it. Mares and stallions were…built differently, and of course Big Mac would have no idea how to handle that. For that matter, she wasn’t sure she did either. “Oh, yeah. Well, you just kinda…keep your tail out of the way, and squat down a little, and then…well, you know…” The whole topic was really weird, and she was looking forward to being on their way. A minute or two passed before Big Mac finally came out from behind the tree, face still flushed from embarrassment. “Ah think that just about takes care uv it. Let’s get movin, I wanna get ta the library as soon as we ken.” Twilight nodded, surprised at his forcefulness. She attributed it to their unnatural situation, and again began leading the way. They picked their way around bushes and climbed over hills, all the while skirting the edges of Ponyville, and avoiding anypony they might run into. While they walked, Big Mac did his best to keep an eye out for anyone, nervously watching all around them. Twilight, on the other hoof, ever the faithful student of Celestia, had been thinking critically about what was going on. Her scientific mind couldn’t help analyzing what was going on, and she took note of the fact that while the majority of the upper brain functions were under the direct control of the consciousness dwelling within the body at the time, the autonomic functions seemed to still be operating just as they always had. While she had to get used to the idea of being far stronger physically than she had been a few hours ago, Big Mac’s body didn’t seem to be having any troubles with it. In fact, the less she thought about the physical tasks she wanted to perform, such as walking, the easier it became. Big Mac, who was a much simpler minded pony than Twilight, was still struggling with his own body, trying to get it to do what he wanted. He stumbled from time to time, tripping over small rocks or the thick layer of leaves on the ground. Twilight did her best to help him, but it was still slow going. They didn’t talk as they made their way to the library, Twilight lost in thought and Big Mac trying to control his body. It was very late into the afternoon by the time they made it to the other side of Ponyville, the sun was hanging low in the sky. Twilight’s spirits rose as she spied the top of the library just over the small hill that they were coming up on. “Look Big Mac, there’s the library, let’s hurry.” Big Mac had finally seemed to have gotten his hooves under him, at least mostly, and the two broke into a gallop towards the library. They came up on a cellar door set in the ground a few feet away from the base of the large tree that Twilight and Spike called their home. Twilight lifted it open with a hoof, and motioned for Big Mac to head in. “This leads directly to the basement, we won’t run into anypony there, and I can lock it while we try to figure out what to do about this.” They descended the staircase, light from outside their only illumination. Reaching the bottom, Twilight turned on a lamp hanging on the wall and took it in her mouth to light the way ahead of them. Big Mac closed the cellar door behind them, leaving only the pool of yellow light cast by the lamp. They moved into the basement proper, passing by ancient bookshelves laden equally with books and dust. Twilight moved confidently forward, heading directly for the pedestal where the mysterious spell book still rested from her earlier studies. Big Mac moved more cautiously. He had never been much for reading, and he had certainly never been in Twilight’s basement before. Twilight quickly ran up the stairs and locked the door leading into the library. “There, now we don’t have to worry about anypony walking in on us.” She moved back to the pedestal and stood in front of it for a few seconds. That’s when it hit her like a ton of bricks. She fell back heavily on her haunches, and the dumbfounded expression caused her face to fall, her mouth opening in shock. Big Mac moved forward in concern, “What is it Twilight? Somethin’ wrong?” Even as he said it Big Mac realized how silly a question it was. Obviously something was wrong; they were in each other’s bodies. “I-I just realized that I can’t use my magic anymore…” Big Mac suddenly became very aware of the horn protruding from his head, and reached up to scratch at it. “Oh yeah, guess we shoulda thought of that.” Completely lost now, Twilight simply stared blankly at the book in front of her. “Is there a way ya could teach me how ta use magic?” Twilight looked up pitifully and shook her head. “No, using magic takes years and years of study, I can’t just give you a five minute lesson and make you be able to fix this.” She growled at nothing in particular. “Oh this is so frustrating! I need to be back in my body to get myself back in my body! What am I supposed to do now?” she cried hopelessly. Big Mac certainly had no ideas. Magic was completely alien to him, and if anypony had told him a story the likes of what was going on now, he probably would’ve thought they’d been hitting the spiced cider a little too hard. But, here he was; trapped in the body of a mare. The body of the only mare that could probably fix this and one that seemed on the verge of an emotional collapse. “Twilight, don’t you be thinkin about quittin, ya’ll think of somethin, ahm sure of it.” She looked up at him. “Do you really think so?” “Ah know so. Yer the brightest unicorn ah’ve ever met, and if anypony can get us out of this, it’s you.” Twilight smiled softly at him, appreciative of his encouragement. “Thanks Big Mac.” Sweeping her uncertainties aside, Twilight sat up, her face hardening into a mask of confidence. “And you know what? You’re right. There’s gotta be something that we can still do. I may not have my magic still, but maybe there’s some cure in the book that doesn’t involve magic.” Looking down, she pondered the book In front of her. Under ordinary circumstances, she’d just use her magic to open the book and turn the pages, but these were far from ordinary circumstances. Reaching up with a large, heavy hoof, she fumbled with the cover of the book, trying to open it. Big Mac stepped forward. “Here, lemmee give it a try, my hooves are smaller.” Big Mac was right, and he had a much easier time of turning the pages than Twilight ever could have. Working together, Twilight read each page carefully while Big Mac turned the pages. The flame in the single lamp crackled as Twilight read, and Big Mac did his best to focus on turning the pages of the book in front of him, the minutes passing agonizingly slowly for him. Glancing up at the clock, he was surprised to see that only fifteen minutes had passed. It had seemed like hours. He sighed to himself, and squared his small shoulders to set himself for what was obviously going to be a long process. Time passed, and the only sound aside from the ticking of the clock on the wall was the sound of the pages turning periodically. Twilight was methodical, reading each line, each character and committing it to memory before she turned the page. Big Mac was a very patient fellow, and contented himself with thinking about the various other projects around the farm that he would start working on tomorrow. Well, that was if Twilight could fix this body-swap. Tick-tock, tick-tock, the minutes soon became hours, and Big Mac was beginning to find it difficult to keep his eyes open. His head drooped, and just as he was about to nod off, Twilight exclaimed excitedly. “Aha! I found something!” Instantly, he snapped awake, and looked up at her eagerly. “There’s a whole section here about a variety of ways that this spell went wrong for the person who wrote this book; and one of those things was a body-swap, just like what happened to us. Strange though…” She trailed off, lost in the words in front of her. Anxiously, Big Mac pressed her. “Well? What does it say? Is there a cure fer this?” She looked up, “Oh, um, no. It doesn’t actually say what he did to actually fix it, just mentions that it happened. And it makes reference to another book.” She stood, and turned to face the shadow shrouded bookcases behind them. “I wonder if it’s back here somewhere. It might just have what we’re looking for.” She moved towards the bookcases and began examining the bindings. Big Mac followed her. “Well, what does it look like? Maybe we ken find it faster if we’re both lookin fer it.” “Umm…I’m not really sure. But it will probably have a symbol of a shooting star coming from behind a cloud on it, so look for something like that.” They each grabbed a lamp off a nearby shelf, lit them, and began making their way methodically through the dusty bookcases. Holding the lamps in front of them, they peered carefully at the bindings of each of the ages old volumes. “Twilight! I think I found it!” Moving swiftly to his side, Twilight inspected the metal edged book, and saw the same mysterious symbol from earlier embossed on it. There was no title on the binding indicating its contents, only the strange symbol. Setting down and turning off the lamp, she grabbed the book off the shelf, and the two of them returned to the reading pedestal. Setting the book down, she allowed Big Mac to open the cover, and began reading again. “Oh good. This one looks like it’s actually indexed. Here, turn it to page forty-seven.” He obliged, careful not to go past the requested page. Twilight began reading, eagerly drinking in the penned words that had been recorded so long ago. “It looks like whoever came up with the spell I was trying to cast started experimenting with making more spells based on the failed attempts of his other spells. Apparently he tried to cast the very same spell to give a pony more of whatever they had, and ended up swapping bodies with his subject. He began experimenting with the mistake, and eventually created a new spell for body-swapping, and detailed the effects here.” Big Mac wasn’t really sure what all that meant, so he tried another tack. “Does it say how to fix it though?” “Hold on, I’m getting to that.” She read on, still wondering in the back of her mind who this wizard was that had come up with all these spells. They were obviously very powerful, the fact that she was stuck in Big Mac’s body ample evidence of this, and she was eager to learn more about him. “Alright, it says here that the spell actually wears off after a while.” “Well, after how much while are we talkin bout?” “According to this, it lasts ‘until the morning light breaks over the swapped ponies’. So I guess we’ll be fine in the morning.” She looked up at Big Mac and smiled. He smiled back at her. “Well, that’s good news. No offense, but ahm really lookin forward to havin my own body back.” Twilight tried to giggle, but it came out a lot deeper than she intended. “I’m looking forward to it myself. I thought it was hard when I wasn’t allowed to use magic to help with the winter wrap up, but not being able to use magic is something else entirely. I feel so…naked without it.” Big Mac smiled sympathetically, “I know how ya feel. Yer not a very stong one Twilight, and ahm not used to feeling so weak. It’s, well, it’s unsettling ta say tha least.” Unable to think of anything else to say, they sat there quietly for a time, just thinking about the odd experience that they were sharing. It was Big Mac who eventually broke the silence. “So, what now?” Twilight’s eyes came into focus on the mare’s body sitting in front of her. “Well, I guess we just wait till tomorrow morning. We can just stay down here for the night. I sometimes spend all night studying down here, and Spike knows not to bother me when I do, so we should be fine. What about Applejack, won’t she wonder where you are?” He shook his head, “Naw, sometimes I spend the night at other friends places, she won’t think nuthin of it.” He yawned, then grinned sheepishly. It was late, and they were both tired from their ordeal. Twilight gathered up a few floor cushions sitting in a corner, and fashioned a makeshift bed in a corner. “It will probably get a little cold tonight, but if we stay close to each other, I think we’ll be fine. Whattya say?” He nodded, looking forward to curling up and going to sleep after such an adventure filled day. Twilight lay down on the cushions, and Big Mac followed suit, curling up next to his body for warmth. It was then, with her small purple body curled up next to her that Twilight noticed something that she never had before. Breathing in deeply through Mac’s large nostrils, she noticed that she smelled good. Really, really good. Twilight had made it a habit early on to bathe regularly, and she always enjoyed smelling nice. But this was something more. This was even better. She started sniffing harder, deeper, driven by an unfamiliar desperation to draw in as much of that heavenly aroma as she possibly could. “Uh, Twilight? What’re ya doin?” Twilight’s glazed eyes suddenly came back into focus, as she realized that she had her snout buried in Big Mac’s mane. He was looking up at her uneasily, unsure of what to make of her strange behavior. Twilight’s eyes widened in surprise, and suddenly the strange sensation that had begun in her belly finally reached between her legs, and she began to feel something that she couldn’t even begin to describe, and certainly didn’t have anything to compare it to. Lifting her rear leg, they both suddenly saw the source of her newfound discomfort. Twilight’s large member had flopped out of its sheath and even as they watched it continued to stiffen. Twilight watched it with wide eyes, as if it were some kind of alien thing growing out of her body. Finally reaching its full length, Twilight continued to just stare at it. Oddly excited by the strange sensations running through her from this…large….thing between her legs, she poked at it curiously. She looked up and noticed Big Mac blushing fiercely, and shifting uncomfortably himself. She grinned at him sheepishly, and he looked back at her awkwardly, neither of them really knowing what to say. From the way he was moving around, she guessed that he was having…similar problems. “Well, it looks like our bodies have a, uh, mind of their own? Ha ha…” She laughed nervously. Big Mac was in fact quite uncomfortable himself, the area between his hind legs was on fire, and the deep musky scent of the body next to him was driving him crazy. At the same time, he was incredibly embarrassed to watch his own penis standing at attention, all in full view of Twilight. The extreme contradictions racing through his mind and body were driving him wild. “Uh, Twilight? I’m feelin’…really…uh, hot?” “Yeah…that sorta happens sometimes. Boy, this sure is…weird. I never expected this to happen.” It really was getting more and more uncomfortable for both of them, and Twilight knew that Big Mac was too off-balance from everything that was going on, and she was going to have to take the lead. “Well, there’s one easy way I can think of to take care of this. What’ya say Mac? Wanna give it a go?” He was caught a little off guard by her forwardness, but he burst into giggles at the utter absurdity of it all. Here he was, being propositioned by a mare, one of his sister’s friends, who was trapped for the time being in his own body! He couldn’t even be sure whose body he would be giving his consent for. “This does sure burn something awful Twilight. Ah guess, if you want to, then ah wouldn’t mind either.” Twilight stood up, and Big Mac rose after her. “So, how do we do this? Is there anything you need me to do Mac?” Neither of them was inexperienced in this area, but neither of them was at all familiar with their new bodies either, so they weren’t sure how to proceed. “Ah don’t know. Is there anything you need me to do?” they looked at each other awkwardly, and then both broke out into giggles. “Well, we both know our own…parts…better, so why don’t we just check them over and see if we think they’re ready?” “Sounds like a plan ta me.” They laid down on the cushions again, settling in inverted to each other. Big Mac found himself face to face with his own penis. He had never seen it quite like this before, and had to admit that he was quite fascinated by it. Twilight was in a similar boat, staring at her moist, engorged love hole from an angle she had never been able to before. Having the benefit of knowing exactly the way they liked to be stimulated themselves, they began paying oral tribute to their respective subjects. Twilight used her thick tongue to spread her slit wide, pushing in deeper and deeper while Big Mac slathered his way up and down the throbbing member before him, and ran his daintier tongue across the broad head, lapping up the pre-cum oozing out and using it to further coat the large shaft. They moaned into each other, the heat in both of their bodies rapidly soaring to a firestorm consuming their bodies from the precision they both demonstrated in their respective ministrations. It was almost too much for them to bear, as Twilight buried her face in her cunt, lapping as deeply as she could into her sacred confines, while Big Mac hit all the right spots in just the right order along his own length. The pleasure washing over their bodies had erased all sense of nervousness or awkwardness from their minds, and they surrendered completely to their lust. “Big Mac? I think I’m ready now…” Breathing heavily, Big Mac pulled back. “Ah…think..ahm ready too…” Standing back up together, Big Mac watched as Twilight moved around behind him. “So, I just, climb up I guess?” “Eeyup.” He responded, and braced himself for the weight of the body that would be coming down on top of him. Lifting herself up with her powerful hind-legs, Twilight did her best to climb gently onto Big Mac’s back, causing him to grunt. Panting slightly, she held herself up with one hoof, she reached down with her other hoof to help steady her swaying penis. Lining it up at Big Mac’s entrance, she pressed it against him to keep it in place. She was concerned for a moment at the size of it, that it might not fit, but was too overcome by her passions to stop herself. Repositioning her hooves onto his shoulders, she moaned at the heat she could feel from the head of her member pressing against Big Mac. He looked up at her, the longing in his eyes lighting a fire in Twilight’s own belly. “Are you ready Big Mac?” His eyes half closed, he nodded. “Eeyup…” Pushing her hips forward, she encountered the slightest resistance, but finally managed to work her way inside. She inhaled sharply at the sensation of the small, fragile body wrapping itself around her own sensitive organ. Big Mac was astonished at how completely…full he felt. He knew that he was well endowed, but all he could manage to think was: WOW. Every inch of the thick shaft that pushed farther and farther into him sent unimaginable thrills all through his body. She finally bottomed out deep within him, and they both simply rested there together, linked hip to hip. Big Mac took a deep breath, not realizing that he had been holding it, his lower muscles squeezing at the penis buried deep within him. Twilight simply rested her snout in the mane underneath her, her hot breaths blasting out in short spurts. “Are you ok there Mac?” “…eeyup…” he managed to sigh out. “I never imagined it could feel this…good…oh wow…” Twilight trailed off. Peeking up above him, he caught Twilight’s eye. “It’ll feel even better if you pull out and push back in…” Twilight blushed and giggled a little. “Oh of course, here…” As amazing as it was to slide into her, it was just as thrilling to pull back out. She stopped just short of extracting herself completely, and surprised both of them when she instinctually slammed back to the hilt into Big Mac. They both moaned loudly, the sensations overwhelming both of them. “ooooh….do it again….” She pulled out again, and pushed back in, savoring the feeling of her phallus tugging at the walls of the mare underneath her. She pulled out once more, and pressed back in. A tightening sensation that she was unfamiliar with had been building up in her newfound gems, but all it served to do was increase the urgency she felt and she quickened her pace. Big Mac himself was being washed over with wave after wave of ecstasy with each thrust from behind, his breathing coming faster and faster. In his own body, Mac had always prided himself on having great endurance, being able to pleasure his partners for hours on end, but unfortunately he still wasn’t used to this new body and couldn’t even try to hold out any longer. Twilight herself was still not familiar with her own body, and completely unaccustomed to the feeling rising faster and faster at the base of her shaft. Unable to recognize it, she had no way of controlling it. One last pulse of pleasure rocketed through Big Mac’s body, his face contorting into a silent scream of unadulterated bliss. The convulsing body underneath her, the sudden death-grip clutching at her as she plunged in once more was too much for her new body, and she suddenly felt the release boiling up deep inside her. She felt Big Mac’s seed rush up her length and spill forth into her depths, spurt after spurt issuing from the head of the shaft pressed deep within the body underneath her, each blast sending her higher and higher in pleasure. Each eruption deep within Big Mac caused him even greater enjoyment than he could ever have imagined. Standing locked together like that while Twilight unloaded everything she had into her partner, Big Mac’s body soaked up as much as it could, the rest squirting out around the throbbing member still twitching inside him. They eventually collapsed together onto the cushion, Big Mac’s cum seeping out of the purple mare that she was still buried in. “wow…that…was…amazing…” “…ee…yup…” They both sighed contentedly. They were exhausted from being stuck in each other’s bodies, and from the activities of the last few minutes. Curling up into each other once again, they took a moment to enjoy cuddling in the afterglow of the most incredible sex either of them had ever had. Soon enough, they fell asleep, resting contentedly next to each other. Waking up in the morning, the first thing that Twilight noticed was that instead of having somepony curled up in front of her, there was somepony behind her. And they were much larger than she was. She looked down, and was giddy at the sight of her own purple hooves. “Big Mac! It worked!” this time, in her own voice. She looked up, and found him smiling back at her. “Eeyup.” She smiled back, and they stood up. “Well, that was…different. We probably shouldn’t talk about this to anypony, huh?” “Eeyup.” “Look, Mac, I want to thank you again for trying to help me with this. I guess I need to work on that spell more.” He nodded, and they both walked back over to the stairs leading to the outside. Twilight followed Mac up them, and stopped at the top as he stepped outside. “Jus let me know if I can help out again. It was a little strange, but ah wouldn’t mind givin it a go agin.” He smiled at her once more to show that all was forgiven, and Twilight grinned back at him, “Thanks Mac, maybe I’ll try it again soon.” And with that, Big Mac headed off in the direction of the farm, once again taking the back ways in order to avoid any awkward questions that might arise at his departure from Twilight’s basement. Twilight herself was heading back down into said basement, coming up with all sorts of interesting applications for this new spell. It was quite exhilarating to swap bodies with Big Mac, and she wondered what it would be like to swap bodies with some of her friends for a day. Who knows, she thought, maybe she could even talk her teacher into trying it out?
