Chapters I fell asleep to the sound of my music, it muffled more an more until it was gone. Then I saw myself floating in nothingness. It was strange, dark, and silent.
Suddenly a bright white speck appeared, and then another, and finally there was a magnificent display of... stars. Then I started falling, falling towards a nonexistent ground. Then it appeared. As I hit the ground my vision blurred.
When my vision started to clear I saw a dark blue figure hovering over me, then I saw her. Magnificent, glorious, beautiful.... a pony! Anger seared through me as I realized that it was princess Luna. I jumped up and shouted "WHY ARE YOU HERE!" She only cocked her head in confusion. By the way, Luna is my favorite Princess. WHAT THE HELL! I don't like My Little Pony any more, why do I keep thinking about it?
"I am here to show you how to embrace your dreams, you are alone William, however if you embrace your dreams, and listen to what I say, you will no longer be alone." She looked at me and I knew she was serious.
So we walked.
As we walked I told her about school and she told me that Equestria had changed since I had left. LEFT? I was never in Equestria, how could I have left it. She then told me that Equestria grows stronger and stronger as more people embrace the show. She told me that I was the key to its survival. I was about to ask what she meant, but then I started falling again.
And then I woke up.
Its been a month since I DREAMED ABOUT PONIES, damn it, my thoughts keep getting interrupted more and more. So far I have established that Equestria could potentially be real, and that I have changed it by "leaving the herd" so now I am the supposed "Key" to the future of Equestria and all bronyism.
That night I started falling again, this time I landed on a cloud, it was so soft. Then I realized it was Rainbow Dash's cloud mansion. Whom by the way is my favorite Mane 6 pony. FUCK these interruptions. I started walking into the mansion because it was either that or jump off of this soft cloud. When I walked through the door I saw Rainbow Dash, staring at me with her big magenta eyes. "You have been expecting me?" I asked.
"Oh give me a break, I have to deal with you now, why couldn't it have been Twilight, or Fluttershy?" she replied.
"Well, I can always leave if you want" I replied.
"No you have to stay, I have a job to fulfill, how boring." She said.
She told me of the riots that have broken out. Ever since I left Equestria started having riots, for no real reason, not even the Elements of Harmony could stop them. She told me that I was the only way that Equestria could be brought back to peace and harmony, that I was the key to Equestria regaining its balance.
I started falling, and I was even more confused than before.
So I woke up again.
I used to be a brony like you. When I started my sophomore year last year I was a brony, I read all the fics, saw all the episodes, hell I even collected the damned merchandise. At the end of my sophomore year I realized that it was a waste of my time, and money. My name is William, I am 16 and this is my story.
I walked into school on the first day. The smell of... well you know, school. People talking, the noise of lockers shutting, coughs and sneezes, your typical sounds at school. As I walked into school I headed for my locker. It was locker 6M. Our lockers are numbered and given a hallway initial. Mine is locker 6 in the main hallway. I requested it last year as a reference to MLP. Now I urge to get my locker changed, but it was too much of a hassle to get this one. I open my locker and put my books in, as I was about to close my locker I realized something.
The Silence.
The entire school fell silent. I turned around and everyone was staring at me with a look that said "Why is HE here?" I instantly knew that today was going to suck. I started trudging through the halls to my first period class. I looked down at my schedule to see that my first class is video editing. Alright! Video editing, this is going to be awesome!
I was wrong. I walk into the room to see every person in the class (Minus the teacher) wearing a brony t-shirt. I see a mixture of the Mane 6, along with a few background ponies thrown in here and there. Which reminds me, I LOVE Scootaloo. Wait a sec, no I don't I don't even like the show anymore. What am I thinking?
The school day went by, and I am all alone. The bronies don't accept me, the normal people don't accept me. The teachers hate me because I had a reputation the past few years. Ugh, at least when I get home I can enjoy some video games.
When I arrived home I went upstairs to my room, and closed my door. I put my backpack in its usual corner. I kicked off my shoes and then I booted up my Mac. However I booted it into windows this time, I felt like doing some more hardcore gaming, but first I will check my email. Wow, 35 unread messages. Oh great they are all from bronies questioning why I left.
Screw the games, I am going to bed. I power down the Mac, plug in my cell phone, my iPod, and then I put my earbuds in my ear and listen to the sounds. The sounds that will lead me.
To sleep.
I decided to learn how to skateboard. It was faster than walking, and this way I wouldn't have to ride my overcrowded discriminating bus. I saw the park bench and I decided I was going to grind it. I shifted my weight, and then I quickly snapped the board onto the bench. I got halfway down the bench and then my skateboard slid. I toppled over and the side of my head slammed into the concrete corner of the park bench.
I once again found myself floating. Except this time the stars were differant. They were pulsing in a perfect rhythm. I started to feel the ambiance of a kick drum with every pilse, felt it surging through my blood. I knew this style of music. This was dubstep. Which reminds me that Vinyl Scratch is the best background pony. HOLY SHIt, why can't I get these thoughts out of my head. I cooled down as the bass hits led up to the drop, and when it finally arrived I was blown down, I was dropping with the bass. Literally. When I hit the ground, the magnificent white pony, with her blue hair and pueple glasses.It was Vinyl Scratch.
When she saw me hit the ground she stopped the music.
"Dude, that was a sick drop." She said.
"Thanks, you too." I replied. "Now what the fuck is going on?"
"Whoa whoa whoa, slow your roll man." Vinyl demanded.
"No, you listen up right now, I am sick and tired of being pulled into this world. I am sick and tired of you fucking ponies, and most importantly I am tired of no one...er.. pony telling what the hell is going on." I shouted.
"Alright fine, I will just tell you up front, because you are cramping my style." The pony replied calmly. "Basically you are the only living person to attempt leaving the herd. This caused a ripple between our worlds. Since you did this it shifted the balamce, now you are the key to rebalancing both of our worlds. I don't know how you are supposed to do it, but I know you are the only one who can do it... now if you will excuse me, I have a party to go Dj."
"Vinyl wait!" I said quickly.
"Yeah?" She replied.
"Thanks." That was all I could manage to say.
"No problem bruh!" Vinyl said before she galloped away.
I started to wonder when I would wake up, it seemed like hours had passed.
It was because they had. I woke up from an eight hour coma. I had to get 36 stitches in the side of my head and I had a concussion. When the doctors asked how I felt, I said "Determined."
