Gilda had a preference that when something went wrong with her, she would crunch over in agony until it was fixed. She was not a lazy griffon, as she often fixed her own problems and walked independently. But her broken, scarred friendship with her old buddy Dash was making her head pound.

Apologize to Rainbow Dash. You need her.

Pft! Gilda was not going to say sorry when she did nothing out of the ordinary. But Dash was her friend. She loved her more than anything in the entire world, and for her to be so distant and furious with her made Gilda depressed. Her conscience prodded her to know that it was her fault the entire thing spread horribly like a wild fire around Equestria. Everypony disliked Gilda for being too rough towards Fluttershy and accusing the cheerful Pinkie Pie of alleged pranks.

It was time to end her fiery silence with Rainbow Dash, so she started trekking towards Ponyville.

About three days later, she arrived. Gilda had bought a cheap, starry blue cape from this blue, depressed unicorn to hide her face. But her talons obviously showed she was a griffon, and everypony in town became aware it might have been Gilda. She sneaked her way through town, breathing rapidly as she walked. Her stomach filled with butterflies and anxiety when she was coming near Dash's Ponyville house. It was a small cottage, nothing much since Dash usually stayed in Cloudsdale. Gilda prayed softly Dash would be home, so they could have some privacy and talk about what had happened. When she was upon the porch, she pounded her beak onto the door. Gilda heard thumping of hooves and soon the door had opened.

But it was not Rainbow Dash. It was a small blue colt with a red, green, and dark blue mane. His eyes were big and cloudy, but also swollen as if he had been crying.

"Dad, some griffon is at the door!" called out the colt. Gilda's heart jumped. Dad?

And then walked up a stallion with the same light blue coat but instead a darker blue mane. She recognized him as one of the famous Wonderbolts - the quiet one named Soarin. He had a puzzled look on his face and looked around beside Gilda.

"Uh, hello?" he calmly spoke. His deep voice sounded around Gilda.

"Is uh, Das- I mean, Rainbow Dash here?" she asked, her voice shaky. She tumbled over her words like a filly trying to fly for the first time.

"Uh, no, she's in Cloudsdale. Who are you? I'm Soarin, Rainbow Dash's husband," he said, introducing himself.

Gilda's heart sank to her talons. Dash had run off with this guy and made that little colt. She closed her eyes, trying to blink out the hot tears welling up in her fierce green eyes. She attempted to scratch the ground to soothe her agony, but it was cold concrete and all she did was almost bend her talons forward. Catching her breath, Gilda nodded and waved her lion tail good-bye. Rainbow Dash had officially forgotten about her. She wondered if she had even cared about her as deeply as the griffon did at first, but obviously not if she had gotten over it and had a colt with some Wonderbolt.

She turned around and threw up right in their garden.
