"Ugh, where am I?" Blood said as he rubbed his temples with both hooves. He blinked twice and examined his surroundings. The trees around him where tall and creepy and the air was cold, damp, and full of fear. The grass was half dead and the dirt, wet and muddy. Blood lowered his ears "Everfree." he stood as he answered his own question. "Ok self-check." He sighed as he trotted toward the morning sun. "Wings?" he looked back to see a pair of white wings folded on his white coat, he spread his wings, flapped them twice, then promptly tucked them back against his sides. "Check. Horn?" he stopped, reached up to his head with his right hoof, felt a horn, then he smiled "Check." he put his hoof back on the wet ground and continued toward the sun. He continued to question himself until he reached an opening that led out of the forest.
"Finally, I was getting sick of this horrid place!" Blood calmly walked out of the Everfree Forest, as soon as he exited he was forced to stop and let his eyes adjust to the change in lighting. He felt the warmth of the sun hit his slightly moist coat, he shivered as his cold body adapted from the chill of the Everfree Forest to the relaxing heat of the Equestrian sun. After several minutes, his eyes focused and his body heated up. He started down a dirt road toward a small town. Half way to his destination he heard something that caught his interest. He came to a halt and listened harder. It was the sound of birds singing, but it was unnatural and coordinated, as if it was composed and meant to be to be sung by a choir or played by an orchestra. He looked to his left and saw a multitude of colorful birds in a tree, singing the song. He slowly went over to investigate further.
Blood wiggled his way into a leafy bush; he didn't want to frighten the birds so he hid from them. After a while of watching and listening to the birds, he looked down and saw a yellow Pegasus conducting the birds. He then spotted another pony; she was lying on a blue and white checkered blanket. As he looked at her he felt his mouth get dry and his heart beat faster. She was a dark purple earth pony, her mane and tail were neon green and electric blue and her brown eyes reminded him of polished copper. His gaze drifted down to her flank, her cutie mark was a full moon with what appeared to be a black wolf paw in the center. He shifted his position in the bush and a leaf tickled his nose causing him to sneeze loudly. The sneeze scared the birds away and both ponies looked in his direction.
He came out of the bush with his ears down "I'm so sorry, I heard the birds and hid in this bush to listen to them." he tried to avoid the gaze of the purple pony. The Pegasus spoke first "Oh that’s fine but you really should have just asked." then the Pegasus smiled and continued "Umm if you want you can lay on the blanket with Feral umm if you want to." Blood looked at Feral; she patted the empty spot of the blanket to the left of her. His heart began to pound inside his chest, now that he was closer he discovered her mane and tail were quite messy as if they hadn't been combed, this new information did nothing to affect how attracted he was to her. Blood walked over to the left side of the blanket, before he stepped on the checkered cloth, he looked down at his hooves and frowned as he discovered them to be covered in mud from wandering the Everfree Forest, and to his surprise Feral giggled.
Then she spoke "Don't worry about getting the blanket dirty, come on, I don't bite, much." he smiled and attempted to clean his dirt covered hooves by wiping them on the grass. "I said not to worry, please, lay down with me, you look tired." he felt a light blush form as she asked him to lay with her. The pounding in his chest got faster as he stepped on the blanket and rested his body next to hers. He forced his wings to stay in the folded position, for he didn't want her to know how he felt just yet. "My name is Feral Fauna, and you already met Fluttershy. What’s your name?" she extended a hoof to him. He leaned his head in and gave her hoof a quick kiss “My name is Blood, it's a pleasure to meet you Miss Fauna." she looked at her hoof with a slightly noticeable blush. "So Blood, do you live in Ponyville? I've never seen you around town." she asked still looking at her hoof.
"To be honest, I don't know." he glanced at the yellow Pegasus that he assumed was Fluttershy. She was staring at the tree the birds had been in, waiting for them to return. He turned his attention back to Feral; her head was slightly tilted to the side. "How can you not know?" her voice had a noticeable tone of worry and confusion. "I'm sorry." he lowered his ears and so did she, as if she knew what he was about to say, "I can't seem to remember anything before waking up in the middle of the Everfree Forest." she reached and touched his muddy hoof with her clean hoof, as soon as she did his wings twitched but he managed to keep them down. "Come on, we can go to my place." she rubbed his hoof. "W-Why?" he felt like his heart was going to burst and his mind raced as he tried to figure out why she could possibly want to invite him into her home.
"So we can get you cleaned up, I'll make you a nice meal and I'll give you a place to sleep." his hooves shook and his tail began to sway from side to side, she giggled and steadied his one hoof with both of hers."Umm well uhh sure." he said with a small smile. "Great, I'll tell Fluttershy!" she got up and trotted to the yellow Pegasus. Blood smiled and blushed as he watched her haunches; he only stared for a moment then looked away, for he didn't want to be perverted toward her. As Feral talked to Fluttershy he managed to overhear Feral say "He's cute." and glanced to see Futtershy nodding in agreement. Blood leaned down and ate some grass, only then did he realize how hungry and thirsty he was. A wave of fear came over him, he had nothing. No food, no home, no bits, and no family.
"Ready to go?" he was startled out of his fear educed trance; he hadn't seen Feral come back. Swallowing the tasteless grass he said "Yeah."
"Are you OK?" she asked with a fair amount of concern.
"I'll be fine." He replied in calm tone as he stood up and folded the blanket. Feral took the blanket and stuffed it in her saddlebags. She started to walk to her home but as she walked by him she gave him a small nip on the neck, and then continued to her home. He followed her with a light blush and great confusion. Why had she nipped him? He pondered this question too deeply and was surprised when she announced they had arrived. He made a mental note of the location of her house; it was the house directly left of Golden Oaks Library. He knew that he could find her house if he needed too.
The house was a normal equestrian style house. Feral opened the door and quickly started to giggle, he enjoyed her cheerful personality. "What's so funny Miss Fauna?" he decided to ask. "Oh nothing." she continued to giggle as she walked inside. "Follow me." She said and he followed her as she started to go up the staircase to the second floor. "Miss Fauna, may I ask a question?" He smiles as he noticed he had just asked a question. "Sure, but please stop calling me 'Miss Fauna', we are friends so call me Feral." She said as she trotted into the bathroom and started running the warm water that would soon become a bath. "Would you like to, oh never mind." He looked away with his ears down. He had wanted to ask if she would bathe with him, not only did he want to stay close to her, but also because he felt afraid of being left alone.
Feral was sitting with her hooves on the rim of the tub, he slowly went and sat down next to her and watched as the tub filled with clear warm water. "Blood." She put her head on his chest and snuggled up to his chin, her affection was so sudden but he instinctively rubbed his chin against the top of her head. For a moment a powerful feeling of joy filled Blood's heart, it was unlike anything he had ever felt before and if he had, he was unable to remember. They continued to cuddle until the bath was ready. Feral lifted her head off his chest and shut off the water, a small amount of steam rose from the surface of the water. "What did you want to ask?" She turned and gave a small smile as she asked. "It was nothing important." He got up and washed his front hooves in the sink, he looked up at the mirror.
In the mirror was a white Alicorn with a white mane and tail, the border of his mane and tail were red, and his eyes were the same shade of red as blood."Hey Feral, who is this pony?"
She looked at him and giggled "That's you silly."
"I look so..." He stopped and tried to find the right word.
"Handsome" Feral said with a small blush forming on her cheeks. He smiled and blushed a deep red.
"I was going to ask if you would like to bathe with me." He looked down at the sink and as he admitted what he wanted his stomach growled loud enough for her to hear. He expected to hear her giggle but when he looked at her she had her ears lowered and a disappointed look on her face. “I want too but you’re hungry so I'll go make us something to eat." He got agitated with himself for being hungry. She smiled lightly "Is it OK if we bathe tomorrow?" then she looked down at her hooves.
"Sure." He smiled as he climbed into the tub of warm water, then something she said clicked in his head, "Wait, did you say tomorrow?" She responded by flicking her tail and trotting out the bathroom with a big smile. He let out a relaxed sigh as he sat down in the bath water; he allowed his wings to stand up while she was downstairs cooking. Although he enjoyed the fact that he was an Alicorn and had been blessed with the power of magic and flight, he disliked that his wings wanted to display his sexual excitement. He took a deep breath and dunked his under the water; he stayed under wanting to see how long he could hold his breath. He shut his eyes and let his mind go blank, a few moments later he felt somepony shake him. Blood lifted his head and moved his mane out his eyes to see Feral at the edge of the tub.
"How long have you been under the water!? I've been calling you for the passed two minutes!" She looked and sounded worried.
"Sorry I didn't hear you umm I went under at the start of the bath so I guess about ..." She interrupted him.
"Blood you've been in here for about fifteen minutes! Nopony can hold their breath that long."
"Well, now I'm confused and hungry." He hopped out the bath and grabbed a towel "Can we eat please? I'm starving." He said as he began to dry himself off.
"Sure, I'll be waiting downstairs." She replied as she walked toward the door.
"Oh Feral."
She stopped and looked at him "Hmm?"
"Thank you." He smiled and looked away, slightly embarrassed.
"Your welcome" She smiled and walked out and down the stairs. After he dried and combed his mane and tail, he joined her in the kitchen which doubled as the dining room. He climbed onto the chair next to Feral, he felt happier the closer he was to her. "I made tomato soup, grilled cheese and salad. I hope you like it." She said looking a little nervous. He nodded and started on the salad, it was nothing special but he enjoyed the crunchy pieces. He ate the soup and the grilled cheese by taking a bite of grilled cheese and then drinking a bit of the soup.
Feral ate hers the same way. He finished eating his meal first so he took his dishes and cleaned them; he even cleaned hers when she brought them over. "Hey Blood, some friends and I are going to the lake tomorrow, do you wanna come?"
"How many ponies will be there?" He asked as he dried the dishes.
"Umm two or three maybe more." She replied. He felt nervous but agreed to go when the dishes were clean and put away. They walked out the kitchen and into the living room when Blood asked "Hey Feral, where am I sleeping?" She blushed lightly and looked at the couch, then the stairs. He gave her a gentle tap on her cheek with his nose and she said "I've never slept with a stallion before." Her blush intensified to the point he could see it and he felt his own cheeks grow warmer. "Do you want too?" He asked and she nodded.
"With me?" He felt his heart pound.
"Y-Yes."
She started walking up the stairs and he was more than happy to follow her. She went into the room across from the bathroom. She nervously and somewhat eagerly climbed into her bed. He walked to the other side of the bed and as he slowly climbed into the bed to join her, he said "Our first night together."
"Together." She repeated.
"I like how that sounds." He stated.
"Me too." She said as he lay down next to her, his heart beating like a drum and she cuddled closer to him.
"I guess I'll see you in the morning?" He said and she smiled and turned off the lamp that was on when they came in. He shut his eyes as the room became dark.
"Yeah." She giggled.
"Goodnight Feral."
"Goodnight Blood." She said and he felt her snuggle a little closer.
"Sweet dreams." He yawned.
"You too."
After a few minutes he fell into a dreamless sleep.
