Skythunder
Chapter 3: A Discovery
Previous ChapterI awoke with a horrible pounding in my head, as if I had been smashed on the head. Wait... I had! God, what happened? I gasped at the memory's of the night before. The storm, the cloud the whole thing came flooding back to me.
Then I remembered the... thing on the stone table.
I sat up with every fiber of my body hurting. I checked my phone to see what time it was. 7:36pm! That means I was unconscious for a whole day. All I could do was sigh. As I stood up, I glimpsed the object on the table. My vision was blurry but I could make out the colors. White and red. I remember there being a white and red lightning bolt. "White and red...white and red..." I said quietly over and over again. A sharp pain went through my head from thinking to hard. So instead of thinking I just stumbled towards it, still partially recovering from the hit. I got close enough to make out the shape and... "No" I said, with no expression in my voice at all. But yes. It had two large eyes which were shut. A crimson... mane and tail. Four legs and hooves. Wings. And it was white all over. Now I was close enough to see what it was.
It was a pony. A my little pony pony.
Although I couldn't believe my eyes what I couldn't believe even more was that it was the pony I created on the pony creator. Skythunder. She lay there and I just stared with my mouth agape. I think I stared for about three minutes. My mind was swimming with thoughts. How is she real? What should I do? She was just a filly and what I could tell a very young one at that. Her flank was missing her cutie mark. Her cutie mark! I never gave her one.
A crack of a stick brought me back to reality. People could be coming to investigate the area of the huge lightning bolt. My mind suddenly thought 'Bring her home'. As soon as I thought that idea, I thought I was crazy for even thinking of it. Although it was a good decision when I thought about it. Normal people wouldn't know what it was and report it to the police.
So as a reaction to all those thoughts, my body slowly reached an arm out to pick up the sleeping filly. As I came in contact with it's body though, it awoke from it's slumber. Her eyes flickered open and looked up to me with a small bit of fear in them. "Hello?" I answered the filly in response to her gaze up at me. The pony just angled it's head in confusion. She couldn't speak or understand english. That means she was in fact younger than I had thought. My head went back to the previous thought of taking her home. I took off my coat and put it in both arms. Slowly, I reached out and offered the warm coat to the pony. Skythunder didn't hesitate to leap in to my coat and curl up. She squirmed around a bit and flapped her wings to get more comfortable. I gently placed the rest of my coat over the curled up pony. As I held her in my arms and she closed her eyes I realized she was freezing. I brought her closer to me to heat her up with my body heat and she gradually became warm. My heart was racing. I was actually holding a cartoon pony. I started on my journey home and climbed over that giant tree that had fallen on the night of the hurricane. It actually took quite some effort but I did it.
I reached my door and walked inside. Skythunder had woken up at the noise of the door opening and closing. She began to wriggle trying to get on the ground. I set her on the carpet and she bounced out of the coat that was wrapped around her. She ran around the house a bit but then tired herself out. I considered where she would sleep and I finally reached the conclusion she would sleep in my bed with me. I didn't have any other spare beds so that was the only place available. I picked her up and like before she squirmed trying to escape. We went upstairs and in to my room which was welcoming after being gone for a day in a forest. I placed her on my bed and she crawled under the covers. She snaked around under there which made me laugh a little. I could tell she was exhausted by looking at her place her head on the pillow. Her eyes began to shut and she drifted off. I got in to bed too and rest my head on the pillow next to her. I watched her sleep for a while before I myself drifted off.
