//-------------------------------------------------------// Skythunder -by cupcakes982- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: My Life //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: My Life Skythunder (First a huge thanks to my friend who supported me to write this fanfic) I used to think of my life as an adventure. I thought life would be a world of opportunity and new experiences. That all changed when I found out life was hard. When I wake up I have breakfast and go to work. I come home from work and go on my computer for a while. I usually just check whats going on around the world or maybe catch up on all the episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Then I just sleep and repeat. That might be the only thing that gets me through each day. The thought of getting to watch a program originally intended for young girls. It seems a bit pathetic but what else is there in this unbroken cycle? I live in a very small town and nothing big happens here. Until one day the news said we were going to catch the edge of a hurricane and the damage could be quite severe... I woke up on Saturday and decided it was time to do something different for a change. I considered a number of options such as taking a class of something, but then I remembered I don't really socialize that well. I also thought of inviting some of my few friends round, but I had a pounding in my head from a week of work. Walking in the forest usually was nice but I didn't want to go out today because the sky was grey. I eventually just came to the conclusion just to surf the web for updates on anything. I looked at normal websites like youtube and amazon. I look on amazon to see if there are any plushies of ponies, just so I can have some physical contact with something, but like always there was nothing. After some browsing I came across a Pony Creator. I thought this might take up some time of the day so I clicked on the website. When it had loaded I decided to make my pony white. I like white. I don't know why I just do. The next stage was unicorn, pegasus or alicorn? I chose pegasus because I envy how they can fly. Flying has always been my dream. To fly with a pair of wings and look down on everything else. Next, what style of mane and tail. I chose for them to be close to Rainbow Dash' because she is my favorite pony. The color of the mane and tail I made crimson. But one more obstacle stood in my way. The name. I'm not good with names at all. Despite that fact though, I was determined to get a name down. The white color reminded me of the sky. And the sky reminded me of thunder. So I named the pony...my pony, Skythunder. Author's Note Just if anyone is wondering if the pony creator exists, it does. That's how I got that picture of Skythunder as the story picture. Here is the link to it if you want to make your own pony like I did. http://generalzoi.deviantart.com/art/Pony-Creator-Full-Version-254295904 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: The Storm //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: The Storm After creating my pony I decided to just go straight to bed. I wanted some time to rest and gather my thoughts. I sat up with alarm. I had fallen asleep. "Damn it!" i said while getting out of bed. I got angry because I had intended to do that walk in the forest I had thought of. But as I had fallen asleep it was getting dark. 'Oh well, I may as well go while I still have some light' I thought to myself. While I was putting on my coat I was trying to remember if I had forgotten anything. No I don't think I have. I grabbed my keys and left the house. When I entered the forest it got even darker because of the trees. As I walked through the forest the trees started to sway in the increasingly strong wind. "Why is it so windy?" I said out loud as if I was talking to someone else in the forest. The sky was darkening and I could feel slight drops of rain. I flipped my hood up and stared at the trees while I walked. The trees were always unnerving for me. They appeared to look back at me when I passed them. CRACK! A huge branch fell from the tree above me and I just barely dodged it. "What the-" I began but I stopped myself as I realized how windy it was. 'I guess I should turn back' I thought. I could see a bit of a clearing in the trees up ahead of me before I turned around. The clearing was shaped in a circle and it had what appeared to be a stone table. Strange. I had never noticed this clearing on any of my previous walks. Well I guess I am lazy and the only time I come here I only go half the distance I went today. Or tonight it would appear. Curiosity got the best of me so I walked in to the center. When I got further in to the clearing I noticed the trees were swaying at an alarming rate. The rain was heavy and the wind forced me to get in to a stance so I wouldn't fall over... That was what I had forgot! The hurricane! I tried to turn back but before I could a tree fell in front of the path. BOOM! I looked up to hear what had created the thunderous noise. Thunder, obviously. Something was really strange about the clouds. There was lightning sparking from cloud to cloud. I stared in awe as everything around me crumbled. I watched for about a minute. But that was a minute too long. Eventually, the energy shooting in the sky all combined in to one cloud. The cloud directly above the clearing. I sprinted to cover under a thick tree and dived under it. I turned my attention to the sky. The energy seemed to build up in the one cloud with the energy. I swear I could feel it in the air. Suddenly one huge bolt of lightning shot in to the stone table I had seen before. "This is INSANE!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, but even then I could just barely hear myself. Weirdly the lightning continued to spark it's wrath on to this one table. The bolt ranged two colors. White and red. It finally stopped with a wave of energy exploding from where the bolt had hit. I shielded my face with my arms. I eventually looked from my eyes and noticed something lying on the table. Something small. But before I could investigate, the tree I was under lost a branch, smashed my head and I was consumed by darkness... //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: A Discovery //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: A Discovery I awoke with a horrible pounding in my head, as if I had been smashed on the head. Wait... I had! God, what happened? I gasped at the memory's of the night before. The storm, the cloud the whole thing came flooding back to me. Then I remembered the... thing on the stone table. I sat up with every fiber of my body hurting. I checked my phone to see what time it was. 7:36pm! That means I was unconscious for a whole day. All I could do was sigh. As I stood up, I glimpsed the object on the table. My vision was blurry but I could make out the colors. White and red. I remember there being a white and red lightning bolt. "White and red...white and red..." I said quietly over and over again. A sharp pain went through my head from thinking to hard. So instead of thinking I just stumbled towards it, still partially recovering from the hit. I got close enough to make out the shape and... "No" I said, with no expression in my voice at all. But yes. It had two large eyes which were shut. A crimson... mane and tail. Four legs and hooves. Wings. And it was white all over. Now I was close enough to see what it was. It was a pony. A my little pony pony. Although I couldn't believe my eyes what I couldn't believe even more was that it was the pony I created on the pony creator. Skythunder. She lay there and I just stared with my mouth agape. I think I stared for about three minutes. My mind was swimming with thoughts. How is she real? What should I do? She was just a filly and what I could tell a very young one at that. Her flank was missing her cutie mark. Her cutie mark! I never gave her one. A crack of a stick brought me back to reality. People could be coming to investigate the area of the huge lightning bolt. My mind suddenly thought 'Bring her home'. As soon as I thought that idea, I thought I was crazy for even thinking of it. Although it was a good decision when I thought about it. Normal people wouldn't know what it was and report it to the police. So as a reaction to all those thoughts, my body slowly reached an arm out to pick up the sleeping filly. As I came in contact with it's body though, it awoke from it's slumber. Her eyes flickered open and looked up to me with a small bit of fear in them. "Hello?" I answered the filly in response to her gaze up at me. The pony just angled it's head in confusion. She couldn't speak or understand english. That means she was in fact younger than I had thought. My head went back to the previous thought of taking her home. I took off my coat and put it in both arms. Slowly, I reached out and offered the warm coat to the pony. Skythunder didn't hesitate to leap in to my coat and curl up. She squirmed around a bit and flapped her wings to get more comfortable. I gently placed the rest of my coat over the curled up pony. As I held her in my arms and she closed her eyes I realized she was freezing. I brought her closer to me to heat her up with my body heat and she gradually became warm. My heart was racing. I was actually holding a cartoon pony. I started on my journey home and climbed over that giant tree that had fallen on the night of the hurricane. It actually took quite some effort but I did it. I reached my door and walked inside. Skythunder had woken up at the noise of the door opening and closing. She began to wriggle trying to get on the ground. I set her on the carpet and she bounced out of the coat that was wrapped around her. She ran around the house a bit but then tired herself out. I considered where she would sleep and I finally reached the conclusion she would sleep in my bed with me. I didn't have any other spare beds so that was the only place available. I picked her up and like before she squirmed trying to escape. We went upstairs and in to my room which was welcoming after being gone for a day in a forest. I placed her on my bed and she crawled under the covers. She snaked around under there which made me laugh a little. I could tell she was exhausted by looking at her place her head on the pillow. Her eyes began to shut and she drifted off. I got in to bed too and rest my head on the pillow next to her. I watched her sleep for a while before I myself drifted off.
