Chapters A/N: This chapter is short as it is an intro scene of how the story's title actually comes in place and to see if I can actually make this work, if I do decide to continue I will do so.
It was a sunny day, I was walking home from school after a hard day of studying, G.C.S.E art kinda took it's toll on me and left me pretty tired and if it's not spending my lunch time drawing, it's spent making music, that said aside from having to study 5 different subjects, I was also hauling around a load of magnets and metal for a project I was working on.
"Geez I'm tired" was all I said before making the trek back down the path back to home, I had a few minutes to spare so I decided to burn them off by taking a long route through the forest, a path I usually take when I get bored or just want to enjoy the scenery"Well, I don't see why not"I said as I was making my journey, through the dark forest, I noticed a strange purple light glowing amidst the darkness "What the hell?" I walked closer as the light became brighter.
When I reached the light I knew something was off, there was no source for it to come from"Okay, this is weird, I wonder what the heck it is."I said as I decided to walk towards it, I was curious of what it was so I reached into, but when I did I found nothing "What th-" was all I got to say as I heard a deafening sound and I blacked out.
Before I knew it I was conscious again, but falling from a very high height from somewhere I didn't even know existed "WHAT THE HELL!" I managed to just cough out as I was falling closer and closer into an ocean "OH SH-" I was cut short by the impact of the water hitting me,it felt like a ton of bricks had just been dropped on me.
I opened my eyes, as I looked around I could clearly see I was in clear water as I could see all my surroundings, as I began to lose my breath I attempted to swim up, but to no a vale I was getting no where fast, I immediately began to think this was the end of me, dying for no reason by some kind of whacked-up teleportation thingy, as I tried to swim up again I felt my body begin to go limp, as I tried to reach up lost my breath, I grabbed my throat pleading for survival but got nothing as I felt my body go limp and my world began to fade.
I regained consciousness as I coughed up the water I'd choked on and looked around "What the hell just happened?" when I looked at the ground I noticed I was on some kind of beach "How did I get here?" I looked at my bag to make sure none of my stuff was broken, luckily it wasn't and I gave a breath of relief, I got up and started to walk but as I did I noticed something strange, I didn't have hands or feet "Wait, what th-" I cut myself short as I brought up what felt like my hand, only to find a black hoof "Okay, so I'm a pony?" I looked at the rest of my body to find that my coat was pure black, I had a l long sharp horn that was on my head and a large pair of wings folded at my sides "Wait, I'm an Alicorn?now what else coul-" I immediately cut my self short again preventing myself from causing a catastrophic event that usually occurs when I say that.
"Okay I'm a pony all of a sudden so that can only mean I'm in Equestria" I decided to have a look around the surrounding are to see if I could spot anypony nearby, when I walked up to the top of a hill I could see a few vague buildings that seemed to belong to a village of some sort, when I looked further in I could see a barn of some sort and I immediately new where that was, it was Sweet Apple Acres, I looked around for a path into the village and found a dirt road leading into a forest, I walked back down the hill and traced where the path should have come out, "Well I don't know how to fly yet so." when I found it I followed it into the dark abyss that awaited me.
As I went further into the darkness I could see more clearly for some reason and I looked up to see if my horn was flared up but it wasn't.
"What is going on here? First I fall out of the sky into an ocean and drown, secondly I wake up on a beach perfectly fine and I'm an Alicorn and thirdly I can see in the dark? never expected any of this from just touching a purple light." as I continued further I could hear howling and roars in the distance.
"What the hell was that?"
As I looked around I saw nothing and sought to continue on down the path, but was interrupted by the sound of growling and heavy breathing "Okay, whoever you are or whatever the hell you might be, I seriously don't want a fight right now." but to my luck the growling grew louder and louder until 3 sets of glowing eyes appeared "Okay to asses this, I'm a pony I'm in a forest near Ponyville or something and there's only one creature that growls and has glowing eyes in Equestria and that is a Timberwolf, congratulations to myself for wandering into the Everfree Forest." as the beasts emerged from the foliage I crouched into a defensive position readying myself for a fight.
The Timberwolves closed in on me readying to attack, as they leaped I rolled out of the way to avoid being at a disadvantage, they turned to me once again and lashed out at me as I tried to roll out of the way, I failed to move quickly enough and got sliced down my side "AHHH!Son of a bitc-" I cut myself short as I had to dodge another attack from hitting me again, as I tried to look around for an exit I found myself surrounded.
"Come on fido! you already took a slice out of me!" I shouted as it was true, I had a huge slice across my side and I was bleeding quite badly, they all lunged at me as I tried to roll but I was not fast enough, I was piled on and being cut pretty badly when all of a sudden my horn flared up "That can't be good." I said in slight fear of me nearly dying again, but when I started to feel immense power flowing through me my vision went black, when I opened my eyes the Timberwolves were dead, their remains were a small pile of wood debris that was burning with a dark crimson flame.
"Too close, I'm not going to survive long like this even as an Alicorn, so I'd better haul my ass outta' here." I then started galloping off down the path towards the exit but had to slow down and put pressure on my wounds with a hoof, when I finally made it to the outskirts I stopped to look at the village, it was vastly colorful even in the dark because I could still see perfectly, I looked at the ground to see a rather large puddle of blood forming, I then looked at my hoof and said "What did I do to deserve this?" as my world began to slowly fade I fell down to the ground, my vision blurred from near death.
"No, no time to rest, I gotta...keep...moving." those where my last words before I lost all strength to move, it was a cold night and the only warmth I had was my fur, my wings and a puddle of blood, I decided that if this was my end I may as well try to stay warm for the hell of it, I curled up soaking my coat and wings in blood and slowly drifted off into a coma.
A/N: like I said short chapter here but things will pick up further in and become deeper.
Chapter 2-Waking up
I was regaining my vision and hearing, but I was being kept from waking up by something and I could hear a constant *Beep, beep beep*, when I looked around I found myself in a hospital room on my own, I listened carefully and could just make out some faint voices.
"Are you sure he's going to be okay doctor? I could just make out that this was a feminine voice "Were not sure who he is, how he survived that level of injury or even where he came from, but he is slowly recovering I can assure you." I could reasonably understand that this was the doctor who was monitoring me "Okay, I'll notify my friends of the situation." as the doctor came back in I tried to say something, but my throat was dry and all I could do was move slightly and look around.
As I started to drift back off I heard the doctor speak in slight bewilderment "What the?" I heard the machine give off it's last beep before jumping to a constant beep, as I closed my eyes I heard the machine go back to beeping at a steady rate.
When I woke up again I was in the same medical room as before, although I could move and slightly speak, as I looked around I noticed a assistance button so I pressed it and waited, about a minute later the doctor came in shocked, so I spoke "Hey *cough* doc." as I spoke I could feel my throat's dryness from not drinking any water for who knows how long, after a few seconds the doctor finally spoke "Hey, you're awake." as he finished speaking I thought of one question, 'How long was I out' so I decide to ask him "Hey *cough* do you *cough* know how long I was out?" when I asked my question the doctor raised a hoof to his chin and thought, he then brought it back down "Well to give you the truth, you've been out cold for about 5 months or so, at first we presumed you dead but the machine kept saying you were still alive and breathing." 5 Months? that's a hell of a long time to sleep.
"Well to be honest, I don't even know how I got here myself, how I survived or where I am" I said still posing a question to past events "you are in Ponyville hospital, as for the other two, none of us are sure either." well that sort of burst my bubble, nopony knows where I am or who I am, guess there was no way of them to know in the first place, I suddenly remembered the second voice from when I woke up 5 months ago "Hey, who brought me here?" I questioned because nopony would just leave a pony to bleed to death so it must have been somepony.
"Ah yes, that would have been Miss Twilight Sparkle, she found you a few months ago and brought you in because you were dying." Twilight Sparkle, where have I heard that before? never mind,so that's who that voice belonged to "Where can I find her? I should thank her for bringing me in." after all it's the least I could do for somepony saving me "I do believe she works at the Golden Oaks Library, I'd think it would be quite a shock to see you awake after all this time, but since you are very much alive you shall be discharged." discharged that fast? well I suppose there's nothing wrong with me anymore so.
"Okay so I can leave now?" I questioned in the case of he was making a cruel joke "Yes we just need you to sign this and then you can go." After signing the form I left the hospital, I was blinded by the amount of light even though it was dusk, after my eyes adjusted I made my way to where Twilight was, hoping she still remembered the pony she saved from death.
I finally arrived at a building with a sign saying 'Golden Oaks Library', the building consisted of a house built inside of a huge oak tree "Hmm I can see why the name matches." I walked up to the door and knocked twice and waited, after 2 minutes I was greeted by a small purple dragon "Yes how may I help you?" I was surprised at the size of him, I thought dragons were big, maybe he's a specific species "Um, could I speak to a miss Twilight Sparkle?" I'm sure I've heard that somewhere "Yeah hang on a second, Twilight! there's someone wanting to see you!" after he shouted I could hear the response of the same feminine voice as when I was at the hospital.
"Hello, how may I help you?" she said, as if she'd done this a lot of times because it's a library "Um, may I come in for a second?" She allowed me in and offered me something to drink, I gladly accepted "Now, what is it that you needed?" here goes nothing "Um, do you remember that Alicorn you saved just outside the Everfree forest?" she nodded in response, well she remembers at least "Well...that was me." as soon as I said that her eyes grew to the size of plates.
"How are you-" I knew that question would come eventually "Alive?" she nodded again in confirmation "I have no idea why I'm here or How I'm still alive, but I can tell you this, never try to fight 6 Timberwolves directly on, it just doesn't work." she giggled at that sentence, and I smiled "Well of course not silly! you can't take on a pack of Timberwolves alone and expect to win!" so I decided to respond "Well I guess that's true, but it depends on your options of survival." as we chatted for a few more hours it was finally nighttime and I realized I had no where to sleep so I had to bring up the question "Hey Twilight, I don't have anywhere to sleep or really go to live so I was wondering if maybe I could stay here?" she didn't need to let me sleep here or stay, after all it was her house "I don't see why not."
"Thanks Twilight, this means a lot to me" after she took me upstairs she showed me where I would be sleeping "Here you are, you will be sleeping here." it was really nice of her to allow me to stay.
"After setting my things down and getting into my bed, I kept thinking if I was ever going to be able to finish what I had done on my project, alas it was time to sleep.
I woke up in some sort of black realm, my eyes adjusted to the darkness again so I could see what was going on, "What the-" a few holographic images were set in front of me, I could see a large black Alicorn with a dark blue flowing mane and her marking was a moon in darkness, I saw Twilight and some others then I saw the Alicorn defeated, I then saw another with a weird creature "A Draconequees?" I saw him laughing while everything was in chaos, I then saw him get defeated by the same beam of rainbow last time, this time I saw an Alicorn in a weird set of armor consisting of a bulky chestplate, a heavy gas mask shaped for an Alicorn's head as it had ears and a horn, I then saw a schematic for the same armor engraved on a steel slate, at the top were the words 'T4357B TYPE.A PROTOTYPE ARMOR', I then saw another schematic on the same type of slate, this time engraved with what looked like some sort of weapon with the words 'T4357B TYPE.A PROTOTYPE RAILGUN' I then realized the pony was wearing the same armor as on the schematic.
I then saw a battlefield, a city on fire, ponies dying and the same pony in the middle of the city with the railgun attached to his side, he looked at the corpses and then his head slowly drooped to the ground, he looked sad, I skipped to an image that showed a few griffons being blown apart by the railgun, I then saw a few ponies crying, he reached out a hoof and helped them up, he then pointed out of the city clearly indicating for them to run, I then saw a flash of images showing the pony until it finally showed his helmet being removed, I was shocked at what I saw, it was a male Alicorn with a black coat, it was me.
I woke up with a loud gasp, but quickly stopped being careful not to wake Twilight as it was still late at night, I then slowly got up and walked over to my rucksack that had my stuff in, I then looked at the metal inside and quietly said "This is the same stuff that armor was made out of." I then picked up my stuff and walked quietly downstairs, I then noticed a huge steel door labeled 'Basement' I then made a note saying where I was and not to disturb me, I then quietly opened the door and went in, closing the door silently.
I noticed a huge metal table in the middle of the room and said to myself "Time to get to work" placing my bag on the table and setting up.
A/N: and suddenly...visions! storyline picks up here and involves me joining the Canterlot Elite team, after a display of the Railgun.
It was nearly 6:00PM, it took me a while to draw out the schematic on the steel as I needed to use a laser cutter I had with me after I bought it from a good old friend, after that I started building the suit bit by bit as I had always known that to be the best idea to use on something like this, I had just finished building the helmet, now all it needed was some black paint, I set the helmet aside and started building the chestplate of the suit's armor, pulling out a blowtorch I melded the metal into shape with my magic without even knowing "What is up with my horn? It's probably nothing." I continued to weld and place the interior padding inside.
After about a good ten minutes of welding I started to build the rest of the suit's body plating, welding each bit into place carefully, joining the metal together.
About four hours had gone by and I was done with the suit "Now to test this thing to make sure it works." I slipped on each piece and locked each bit into place with it's hinges, It fitted as planned and was comfortable to wear and my wings fitted in their flexible plating, now all I had to do was try the helmet, I clicked a switch on my right hoof and a heavy helmet folded up and connected itself to my head, I flapped my wings to see how heavy the suit was but to my surprise it weighed nothing "What the? Well at least the suit works, but I'm going to have to use the damn H.U.D module mike built for me in the helmet, I'll also need the electronics for the wiring." I attached the final pieces that were four small thruster modules to the legs, all I needed now was the electronics for the H.U.D and thrust modules and after being happy with my work I click off my helmet and took the armor off, mounting it back on it's rack, I headed upstairs and back through the door, closing it behind me I placed my schematics into my bag next to my bed and trotted off, "Oh crap, I don't have any money do I?" Well that was the last thing I expected, I walked upstairs to find Twilight stargazing through her telescope, I took this as an opportunity "Impressive aren't they?" Twilight jumped nearly falling off her chair, "AHHH! Don't scare me like that!" I smiled "As for your question, yes, they are impressive, Princess Luna's the pony who creates this night sky." Now that impressed me, a single pony able to create such a master piece all on their own "Where I'm from the night sky sort of created it's self." Twilight looked at me dumbfounded "That's not possible! Princess Luna created the night sky and raises it." Oh, crap I never told her where I'm originally from did I? "Well I'm not from Equestria, I'm from a similar planet called 'Earth', on there the sky moves it's self due to orbital rotation." She was giving me a suspicious look that made me slightly uncomfortable.
"What do you mean you're not from here?" Oh boy here we go "Well you see, I got teleported here by a strange purple light, and I fell from the sky, landed in an ocean, drowned, woke up on a beach after drowning, suddenly I'm no longer human I'm an Alicorn, I nearly die from a pack of wolves made out of wood, get rescued by a very pretty mare" she was blushing furiously so I smiled "die again, wake up again and now here I am speaking about stuff nobody cares about." I took a long breath and looked at Twilight, to my surprise, she had noted everything down.
"Wait, so you're from a planet called earth which must mean you used to be a Human but got teleported by a purple light and now here you are?" How the hell did she know about Humans? now I was curious, and second how the hell did she manage to note all of that down? "Wait a minute, how do you know about Humans?" I asked "Well, here in Equestria, Humans used to be a myth, but several bones have been found matching a Human's skeleton, and that purple light, that was me, I was testing a teleportation spell that works on objects and I guess you were that object."
"So you brought me here?"
Twilight nodded but looked at the floor looking sad and then said "Yes, but please don't hate me!" hate her? why would I hate her? this place is far better than Earth so why would I be mad "Why would I hate you?" Twilight looked up and smiled "You don't hate me!? But I took you away from you're world!" she really doesn't know does she "Pfffft' No I ain't mad, you don't want to see the state my world was in." She hopped up and hugged me so I returned the favor and hugged back. "I didn't catch your name." wait I don't have a name yet do I? "That's because I never threw it." I smiled at that sentence, I've used it so many times in a situation like this "Plus, I don't even know if I have a name." Twilight looked at me confused, and for some reason she was staring at my flank "Uh, why are you looking at me like that?" Twilight instantly looked away and tried to hide another blush, she came to her senses and said "You're an Alicorn with a cutie mark, but you don't have a name? Oh! I bet Princess Celestia knows!" Wait what? "Um, who exactly is that?" Twilight instantly turned to me "She rules Equestria with her sister Luna, she's also my teacher since she made me her personal student."
"And I'm guessing their Alicorns too, right?" Twilight looked at me and smiled "Thought so, anyway where is she?" Twilight pointed out of her window towards a huge castle-like structure on the side of a mountain, my knowledge of being a brony a while ago came in handy right about, now "Let me guess, Canterlot?" She smiled at me "Well how do we ask her?" She looked at me and shouted "Spiiiiiike!" instantly the small purple dragon was at her side "Take a letter" wait a letter? how is she going to get up their? Spike brought out a quill and scroll and Twilight read out
"Dear Princess Celestia, 5 months ago near the Everfree forest I found a male Alicorn on the verge of death, I brought him to Ponyville hospital for them to patch him up, he never woke up so I assumed him dead, but recently he came to my door and thanked me after asking if I remembered him, he is not from this world as he was dragged out by an object teleportation spell I was practicing, he used to be a human from what he's told me but he is currently without a name and I was wondering if you knew who he was. Your faithful student Twilight Sparkle ."
Spike finished writing and burned the letter into a green flame that went towards Canterlot's main castle which is where I was guessing the princesses are staying.
"Now that's cool" Spike buffed out his chest in pride and said "Well being a unique dragon does have it's perks." Twilight giggled "Oh Twilight, I don't have a job yet so I don't suppose you have any suggestions would you?" she brought a hoof to her chin and thought for a few seconds "Hmm, come to think of it I think you could just help out around town and see what happens, I do have somethings I need help with." looks like that problems solved "I think I'll start with helping you." she looked at me and smiled "That's very kind of you, I need help creating a new spell that will allow me to cast an illuminating light that doesn't burn out or drain constant magic from the user." Oddly that doesn't seem that hard to be honest "sure but we better get back to bed, it's rather late." Twilight and I both yawned at the same time and said our goodnights before we headed back to our beds.
When I tried to sleep I was still thinking "Maybe I belong here." as my thoughts stopped, I slowly drifted into a peaceful sleep.
It was reasonably early in the morning at about 10:00AM, I woke up to find that Twilight wasn't in her bed "Twilight?" I questioned, but to my avail I heard a voice say "I'm down here!" Ah there she is, I headed downstairs to see what was going on, and to my surprise there were pancakes on the table, then I realize this must be breakfast "Twilight, you didn't have to do this you know." Twilight smiled and looked at me "I thought I'd be kind." we both sat down together and ate our pancakes relatively slow as we didn't need to be anywhere.
As we both finished our pancakes I still had the problem of finding a job, I asked Twilight last night and she said she needed help with a spell, so I brought it up "Hey, Twilight you said you needed help with a spell?" Twilight tapped her chin "Ah, yes I need someone to help me calculate the spells inscriptions so I can make it." That doesn't sound hard.
We headed downstairs to the basement, I told Twilight to not touch what was under the cloths as that's where my armor was and I didn't want her knowing about it yet, Twilight led me to a spot surrounded by magenta colored candles "What now?" she turned to me and said "We need to set out a rune for the spell to absorb magic to create it." okay this should be fun
After setting out the rune Twilight put a piece of paper in the center and cast a spell on it that made the rune and paper glow in her magic "I just have...to...keep...this up....I can't do it!" Wait what? "Every spell I've made works, but this one won't let me tap into it!" Twilight sounded really angry "Um Twilight, are you okay?" She looked at me and said "Okay? Okay!? my special talent is magic and I can't even create a simple spell!!!" Her mane and tail burst into flames and her color turned from lavender to white-hot "What th-" was all I got to say before a blast of fire exploded around us both, I shielded my eyes and hoped I didn't burn to death, after a few seconds I opened my eyes and saw that Twilight was now back to her original self, smoke emitting from her mane and coat "I'm sorry!! I couldn't control myself!!" I heard a burning sound, I looked to see Twilight curled up on the floor crying "Twilight, are you okay?" she continued to stare at the ground and said "I'm sorry..I didn't mean to do that!" I know she didn't but I needed to know what that was "Twilight, It's okay." she looked at my hooves.
"You mean, you forgive me?" I put a hoof on her shoulder, I could still hear a burning sound "Yes, can you tell me what just happened?" she looked up and gasped "W-what's happened to your mane and coat!?" Wait what? I walked up to a mirror that was in the corner of the room and saw that my mane and tail were composed of fire, my coat, wings and horn had a similar effect as flames were traveling around them and my cutie mark was glowing "What the hell!?" I rubbed my eyes and looked back at the mirror and saw that the flames were real "Okay that's strange." I thought blankly and looked back at the mirror, I cleared my thoughts and the flames on my coat and mane died out and returned to normal.
"What the?" I walked up to one of the candles and dipped my hoof in the flame, as I brought it out I was holding the candles magenta colored flame and my coat and mane had set alight in the same color, I let go of the flame and it dissipated into thin air, returning my mane and coat to the original deep crimson mane and black glossy coat "That's weird." I looked at Twilight and saw her jaw nearly touching the floor.
"Um, has anything like this ever happened before?" Twilight closed her jaw and shook her head "No, I've never seen anypony do anything like that, not even princess Celestia can do that!" this day just get's stranger and stranger, anyhow back to the spell "Let me see if I can help." I funneled my magic into the rune, strangely it felt as if the spell was alive and had accepted me and allowed me to bend it to my will, I saw a bunch of symbols float through my vision, when they vanished the rune had gone and the paper was on the ground.
Picking up the piece of paper, I saw that it had the same symbols that I had seen next to the rune we used "I think I did it but I'm not sure, you want to have a look?" she nodded and walked over "How did you manage to do this so fast?" I knew she would ask "Well I don't really know much, only that I spent about 5 years studying the art of runes, which is probably why I know so much about magic, runes and inscriptions that are involved in spell creations and books." Twilight smiled "Good to finally meet somepony who can understand basic and even the most advance parameters of magic and not call me an 'Egghead'."
"Why would ponies call you that?" Twilight looked at me and sighed "Some ponies don't really like the fact of being smart." That's a reasonable answer "Hey, do you know anypony who I can work for?" Twilight raised a hoof to her chin then brought it back down "Applejack said she needed some help down at her orchard, I think you should go and see her." alright then "Okay can you point me in the direction?" Twilight nodded and pointed out the window to a barn "That's the apple farm, Applejack and her family run it." I nodded and walked to the door and said goodbye to both Twilight and Spike.
It was bright and sunny outside and there were ponies milling about the town doing their own things, I was then had the wind knocked out of me and was forced down on the floor by what felt like a ton of bricks in the chest "AHH!" I got up and looked up to see what it was that had hit me, turns out it was a Pegasus with a cyan coat and rainbow mane, she looked at me and said "Oops my bad, didn't see you there, come to think of it I haven't seen you at all." neither have I seen you "Name's Rainbow Dash, fastest flyer in all of Equestria!" well no point in being rude "Yeah, sorry I kind of don't have a name yet, don't ask." she laughed but stopped when I frowned at her "Anyway sorry for bumping into you like that but I've gotta' go." With that she flew off further into Ponyville.
"Well that was interesting." I continued to trek down to the farm, I decided this was the best time to test my wings so I hovered up and flew towards the barn at a steady pace, I got bored and went higher and higher until I was up in the clouds "This is cooler than I expected." I flew faster and faster until I felt a heavy amount of G-force pushing against me, I kept going until I saw a weird cone shape forming around me, I flew at a faster pace and the cone increased so I flew faster and faster, I went back below the cloud layer until I heard a loud crack of lightning "What the heck was that?" I continued to fly but I looked behind me to see a huge line of red electricity sparking in a huge line from my mane and tail "WHOA!" I shouted as I flew at an insane speed towards the farm.
I came to an instant stop on the farm and looked at the fading trail of lightning and my sparking tail return to normal "That.was.awesome!" I walked around to look for Applejack but couldn't see her anywhere, I continued to the barn and knocked "Anyone here?" I opened the door and walked inside, my eyes adjusted to the darkness so I could see the barn's interior clearly, I then felt some rope tie around my legs and tripped me up "You ought' not to be trespassin' pardner." I looked around to see an orange mare circling me "Sorry, didn't mean to be trespassing, but I'm looking for a mare called Applejack." she sat down and gave me a straight look "Why are ya lookin' for me?" I returned the straight look and answered "Don't worry ma'am, I'm not looking for trouble, just work." she smiled "Well why didn't ya say so!" she untied me and shook my hoof "Name's Applejack, and this here is my family's farm." I looked around for a lantern, since she couldn't see in the dark "How in Equestria can ya see in all this dark?" I lit the lantern with my magic and smiled "No idea, but I'm guessing it has something to do with me being an Alicorn." she looked at me in the light and said "So ya are an Alicorn, ah never saw ya wings in the darkness, heck I could barely see you since ya coat's so black, ya eyes were glowin' red so that's about all I could see of ya." wait my eyes glow red in the dark? anyway back to the job.
"I was wondering if you needed any help around your farm." she brought a hoof to her chin and then lowered it "It just so happens ah do, Big mac's injured himself and I need some help gettin' the apples off the trees, I can get them down but there's a hole lot a trees in this orchard and I can't do it all on my own." I smiled "Okay I can help you with that."
Applejack led me to the orchard and I could see what she meant by a lot of trees, there were hundreds of them! all ripe with delicious looking apples "I can see what you mean, this is one impressive farm Applejack." she smiled at me as we trotted into the orchard "Why thanks mister, my family an' I worked mighty hard ta get this farm how ya see it today." when we reached the center of the orchard we stopped "All right mister, do ya know how to buck an apple tree?" I shook my head in response "Okay I'll show ya." she walked up to one of the trees "Now it's easy all ya gotta' do is bring your rear hooves up and kick real hard." she brought her back hooves up against the tree and kicked, the tree shock as all the apples fell into the buckets below "Now you try." I walked up to one of the trees and brought my rear hooves up and then kicked as hard as I could, like before all the apples fell into the buckets.
"See! ya gettin' the hang of it."
We continued to buck the apple trees until the majority of them had been harvested "That wasn't too hard, but it certainly left me tired." Applejack looked at me and smiled "Well as I always say." she brought out a leather sack of what looked like gold bits "Honest pay for honest work." I took the sack in my magic an examined it "I'm not that familiar with Equestria's currency "Well it's easy, bronze bits are worth 2 bits, silver is 5 bits and 10 for gold." I opened the sack and noticed that there were 500 gold bits in total which added up to 5,000 bits "This is a lot of money Applejack, are you sure about this?" she nodded and said "I'm always honest to everypony and I'm sure about it, take it after all, you've earned it."
As I said goodbye I trotted into town there were ponies still milling about their business as usual, I remembered the items I needed for the suit's paint and electronics, I needed wiring which could be made from copper, plastic for the circuit panel which could be found in a store and black paint for the suit.
I headed into what looked like the town's general store, I walked up to the counter and asked "Hey I don't suppose you have any of these items would you?" I showed the mare at the counter my list, she nodded and walked into the back room for a few seconds before coming out with what I needed "That will be 100 bits please." I brought out the sack Applejack gave me and took out the bits I needed and put them on the counter "Thanks." I then tied the stuff on my back with magic restraints and began walking back to Twilight's house.
A/N: I'll be testing a new P.O.V (Point.Of.View) technique such as; Twilight's P.O.V andMy P.O.V in the next chapter after the next one, just to make it a more in-depth understanding.
A/N: I have come back from the hellish depths of moving house, sorry about the delay everypony!
It was getting dark a little and I was still walking back to Twilight's house to paint the suit, install the electronics and construct the railgun, I hoped Twilight hadn't found the suit yet as that would have been awkward to explain to her, as I was walking there were still ponies milling about their business as usual, I overheard a pony singing a song about smiling and looked around to see who it was and saw a pink pony bouncing around, I went over to go and say hello "Hey that's a pretty good song you're singing." she stopped bouncing and smiled "Thanksmyname'sPinkiePiewhat'syours?" how the hell can she speak that fast? "I don't actually know, I only woke up from hospital a few weeks ago." she then started walking around me.
"HeyI'veneverseenamaleAlicornbefore, cometothinkofitI'veneverseenIyou before." she then jumped into the air and gasped before launching off some where "What's up with her?" I shrugged and continued walking back to Twilight's house but then got bored again and took flight, only going at a slow pace because I didn't want to cause an event like last time.
When I reached the house I entered to find spike tidying up the bookshelves with a feather duster
"Hey Spike."
He turned around to face me and replied "Hey." as I looked around, Twilight was nowhere to be seen and as I walked along the floor I came across a scorch mark on the wood "Hey Spike, where's Twilight?" he didn't face me but still spoke "Twilight has err, how do I put this, vanished." I cocked my head in confusion and said "Vanished?" spike then fumbled his claws "There was an accident with the Elements of harmony and they created a sort of field around her, when we managed to see where she was, there was only a burn mark where she used to be." I walked to the basement door and spoke as I opened it "Spike, I'll find her don't worry, but you're gonna see something pretty cool in a bit, I just need to finish it." I walked down into the basement, locking the door after me.
I laid all of my supplies on the table next to my suit and brought out the schematic for the railgun, as I looked over the schematic I noticed the fact of it being more complex than I thought, and I decided to build something else "Okay, so I'm going to need to make two of them, one for each wing...."
About 20 minutes had past and I had finished what I had made, two razor sharp, steel blades that were connected to springs and attached under the wings of my suit.
"okay so if I'm correct, when I do this..." as I twisted a cable inside the helmet the blades popped out with a sharp slicing noise, they were pointed out to the very tip of the wing, the blades were about 30 inches long.
As I put the blades back in their sheaths, I closed the back of the helmet and started putting the suit on and clicking the parts and hinges in place, to my surprise, the suit still didn't weigh anything "The hell is up with this suit, with the amount of metal in the damn thing I shouldn't be able to move, let alone have it on." as I put the helmet on, I turned the visor and H.U.D systems on and saw the screen light up in a deep red color and a layout of messages appear.
"SYSTEMS BOOTING UP...... F.O.F....ONLINE NAVIGATION.....ONLINE HEALTH SYSTEMS.....ONLINE
"Well everything seems to be working." As I looked on my left and right, I opened out my wings and popped the blades out, about a second later a display of the blades and my body came up on the visor, showing me an outer view of the suit, as I looked around I saw a small wooden table in the corner, I looked at my wing blades and smiled, as I flung my wings forward, the blades cut through the table like paper, as I stood up normally, I folded my wings back and the blades clicked back in to my wings "Now, let's find Twilight."
as I came up from the basement, slowly stepping up the stairs hearing the loud clanging sound of my metal hooves on the stairs, I opened the door to find Spike nowhere to be seen "Spike?" as I looked around I called his name a few more times, but to no result I got nothing in a response "Huh, wonder where he's gone." as I walked outside of the library a looked towards Canterlot and saw fireworks going off all over the place "I think that's a good place to start." as I flared open my metal wings I took flight and headed towards Canterlot.
TIME: 2:30PMP.O.V
"I still can't believe you're an Alicorn, Twi, It's just so awesome!" as I looked at rainbow dash I smiled "To be honest Rainbow, I'm still surprised myself" as I took a sip of wine from my cup we all heard a loud commotion outside.
"I wonder what that's all about." I said as I took another bite from my daisy sandwich "Don't worry about those ruffians dear Twilight, you're a princess now, nopony would ever think of bothering you." as I looked at Rarity I nodded "I guess you're right." as I said that, the door flew open revealing a pegasus wielding a knife "You're not worthy of being a princess!" as she finished, she lunged through the air towards me with murder in her eyes, everypony gasped in fear, time seemed to slow down as I closed my eyes....nothing happened, when I re-opened my eyes I saw a large pony in what seemed like some sort of armor, with blades attached to it's wings, holding the pegasus, when I looked closer, I noticed that the pegasus was dead and had been impaled, leaving blood dripping off the tips of the blades, forming a puddle, as they took the blades out, the pegasus dropped to the floor like a stone, as I looked at the pony I saw that it was an Alicorn, and it's helmet had a red glowing slit in it.
I thought to myself, "What in Equestria, is that...."
TIME: 2:45PMP.O.V
"Over here!"
I could hear what sounded like a battalion of ponies headed towards me.
"Whoa, whoa, just calm down, I'm not here to-" I was then interrupted as she started throwing anything she could grab at me with her magic, forcing me to dodge them, as I continued to dodge them, I heard a pony shouting.
"Step away from those ponies!" as I looked back, I was hit with a magic blast the seemed like a missile of force hit me, sending me flying into the wall, causing my armor's weight to crack the wall.
As I tried to get back up I felt something incredibly heavy pushing me down, causing me to struggle to even look up, but when I managed to, I saw a tall Alicorn with a flowing rainbow colored mane and tail holding me down with magic, with an evil look in her eyes.
"Guards, take this pony, and lock him up...and clean up this mess....."
As I saw a pony in gold and purple armor walk up to me and try to drag me, I tried to speak, but felt myself too weak to even move, a could see my armor smoking from where I'd been hit, but my head started to hurt like hell as I started to lose my vision, I looked at my visor and saw 'WARNING' flash up repeatedly as the visor then shut off, and I lost my consciousness, and blacked out, feeling nothing but the pain in my side, and being dragged along the floor slowly....
TIME: 5:00PMP.O.V
"I hope they send that barbarian to the moon!" I heard Rarity shout, I looked at her and said, "Rarity, that pony just saved my life, I doubt the princess will do anything like that" she then looked at me with a straight face and said "But he killed that pony and made poor Fluttershy cry!"
I looked over at where Fluttershy was sat, sobbing, with Rainbow Dash comforting her "Shhh, It's okay Fluttershy, nothing bad is going to happen to us...."
TIME: N/AP.O.V
as I struggled against the chains I could hear them rattle against my armor.
"Great, looks like I'm not getting out of here any time soon....wait, I still have magic."
As I tried lighting up my horn I felt I huge shock of electricity surge through my head "Gah!, F-fuck that hurt!" as I looked around the cell I saw a huge metal door, I then heard somepony talking.
"Are you sure you want to go in there princess?" as I focused on the voice I could hear another. "Yes I'm sure, I wish to deal with this pony, personally, you may be dismissed."
As I heard the first pony trot off, I saw the massive bolt on the door slide up and to the side, and the Alicorn with the rainbow mane walk in.
"You.....what do you want with me?" as I said that she looked at me evilly and spoke "you are going to tell me everything I want, and maybe I'll just spare you a few hours for attempting to kill my student." as she walked around the room I looked at her and said "Kill her? I didn't try to kill anypony." she looked at me and said "Then why were you present and why was one of my student's friends shrieking and throwing things at you?" I shook my head and responded "What happened was Twilight went missing and I came to find her, I got here just in time to stop her from being killed by a pegasus." She brought a hoof to her chin.
"Then why are you wearing armor looking like you want to take on an army?" I looked at my hooves and wings which is all I could see of my armor. "A little project I've been working on." as she looked at my I felt unnerving and cold "What's your name?" I knew that was coming, so I responded simply with "Don't know" she cocked her head and said "You don't know your own name?" I shook my head "I got teleported here from a different place, no idea who I am." she looked at me suspiciously and said.
"Take off your armor." I laughed and replied "Little hard from here, don't suppose you could let me down could you?" she sighed "Very well, but I will keeping a very close eye on you..." as she opened my wing and hoof shackles, I dropped ont all fours and clicked my neck "Alright one sec" as my visor turned back on, all my H.U.D elements lit back up, and my visor's eye slot lit up, causing it to light the room up a little, as the alicorn, stepped back her horn alight, I clicked off my helmet and placed it on the floor, then opening all the hinges on my armor, allowing me to slip out of it without having to dismantle it.
My eyes were still producing a mist, and I could see in the dark, my blood red mane and tail flowing, and I flexed my wings I then looked at the alicorn who's eyes had widened to the size of plates, she simply said two words "Dark Star."

As she said that name, my vision became blurry as my eyes started to pour with mist, before I knew it, I was in a dream, I was standing next to two ponies, one was the white alicorn, the other was another that was a dark blue and had a light blue mane and tail, as my head moved on it's own I could hear echoed voices of the ponies next to me.
"It's not fair!"
"Luna, everypony enjoys your night sky, they may sleep through it, but it comforts them in the night."
As my head stayed still, I could still hear the voices "Your lying!" as the blue alicorn stormed off, as I looked at the white one, my host said in the echoed tone "Well that went well didn't it?" she looked at me and sighed "She seems jealous, that she thinks ponies don't like her night." as I moved forward, I looked at her and said "You think? One day sis, Luna's going to make her night how she wants it, you can count on that, and fairly enough, I'm at her side when that happens."
As my vision blurred again, I was in another dream, this time I was sitting next to Luna.
"It's not fair."
As I looked at her I said "I know sis, not everything is perfect or fair, even I'm not perfect and I'm apparently 'pure' " she looked back at me and said "Well of course you are, you may not raise the sun or make the 'night sky', but you can do things ponies wish they could do." as I looked at the ground I responded "Sure, my mane and tail drip blood when they're wet, my eyes glow and make a blood-red mist, I can see in the dark, I'm really good with magic and I have these." as I opened my mouth slightly, I could feel a small sharpness, but I couldn't pin it down. "But none of them come even close to your night sky!"
she looked at me and sighed "Sure, but your much cooler than I am..." she looked at the floor with a sad expression.
I hugged her and said "Hey, your night-sky is beautiful sis, don't let anypony tell you different" she looked up at me and smiled "You really mean that?"
"Of course I do!"
she hugged me back and the vision then skipped, I saw a pony who was wearing blue helmet and chestplate confronting Celestia.
"Our night shall last forever!"
the vision skipped again and I saw the pony being banished to the moon, my vision returned to normal, and I looked at Celestia "Dark Star?"
she looked at me and nodded "Yes, Dark Star is your name, and you are......mine and Luna's brother." I cocked my head and said "Wha-How? I don't remember anything from this place." as she looked at me and sighed "Then it's as I feared, when we...banished...Luna you were very aggressive towards me when I told you, you went missing shortly after and I sent out detachments of guards to look for you, but you were nowhere to be found." I brought a hoof up to my chin and thought to myself "Is there anyway, for me to remember anything of this place?"
"Yes, but it will be very painful, it requires a spell only me and Luna can do, as your magic is 'Black'."
"Black?" I cocked my head again and looked dumbfounded at Celestia "Yes, your magic is very strong, so much to the extent that it's always in the form of black magic, meaning it's very powerful, and you can cast highly complex spells with ease."
I looked at the ground for a second then back to Celestia and said "Alright, let's do this." she looked at me seriously and replied "Are you sure your ready?" I nodded and her horn set alight, as she put it close to touching mine I felt an Immense pain shoot through my mind as I fell into an abyss.
I opened my eyes to find I was in some kind of dimensional block, I looked around and could only see miles of darkness and red stars, as I looked forward I saw an image float up in front of me, similar to the ones I had seen a few nights ago, except this one showed me reading a book, that was written in some kind of rune script, I then cast a spell that created a floating light, that was the same color as my magic, blood-red, the light then slowly vanished and it's glow faded, the image then disappeared and another replaced it, this time with a different focus, I was only a small alicorn, about the size of a small colt, I was walking in the rain with Celestia, and my mane and tail were dripping blood, Celestia and I then stopped as she looked at me, I started to walk in a circle and then in a triangle shape, then I span round and started drawing small runes in the circle out of my blood, once I finished I looked back up at Celestia as she smiled back at me, my eyes started to glow and mist was coming from them as Celestia took me back inside.
After a few more images, I came to one which caught my eye, I was stood in front of a suit of armor, identical to mine, my horn lit up, and it burst into bright orange flames, when I looked at where the armor used to be, there was just ash and molten metal, I looked at the ground to see I was stood in a puddle, I could see my reflection, my eyes were a bright sparkling orange, my coat had changed to a pure-white shade, and my mane and tail were bright flames, crackling and dripping lava, sizzling as it hit the water, after about a minute I looked behind me to see Celestia smiling, my coat changed back to it's original black, and my mane was it's normal blood-red, along with my eyes and the mist coming from them, I then hugged Celestia tightly, to which she replied "Well done brother, your learning to control fire rather well."
"Thanks sis! I try my best, but I want to do better!"
She chuckled and called me over, as I followed, the image began to fade away and was replaced with various others, as they zipped about I felt intrigued about them, somehow they felt familiar to me, as I saw my various stages in growing up, I realized, I wasn't even half the size of Celestia, only the size of Twilight, which then made me ponder back to the event of making the spell, when she turned to a fire element just like I did.
The next image I saw, was of me in some-sort of school, I was being bullied as I was crouched in a corner with others yelling at me "Dark Star's a freak!, Dark Star's a freak!" as I looked at them I could feel tears running down my cheeks, I then yelled "Shut up!" at them, to no avail, I felt my horn light up as I was ensnared in bright orange flames, my form had changed to fire like I had seen previously, and my mane and tail were dripping lava, as I walked up to them, they all shrieked in terror as I bared my fangs at them, and shouted "Get lost!" at the top of my voice causing it to echo nearly the whole length of the school, as they all ran off, I sank back down as my form changed back and said in a hushed tone "I'm not a freak, I'm just different....."
As I saw one final image, I was walking along a beach near a forest, I was dizzy and disoriented, I was walking at a slow pace and I had tears streaming down my cheeks, as I fell to the floor I said in a hushed and quiet tone "I need you sis."
After I said that, my vision blurred, as it darkened to nothing.
"Wake up."
"Gah!" as I fell to the floor I felt dizzy, I shook my head and got back on my hooves, and looked around the darkened cell, I then looked at where my suit was, but, it was gone, the only thing left was a small pile of ash.
"What happened?" as I looked around, I saw Celestia looking at me "While you were in the abyss of your mind, you changed to your fire element but you were still dormant as you should have been during the spell, but a few minutes in, your horn lit up and burnt your armor into ashes, it may have been a reaction to to the spell.
I looked dumbfounded, how could I have destroyed my armor? unless it was linked to the memory of me learning about fire and destroying the armor, I couldn't see any other reason, so I looked around and saw that it was getting brighter, as I looked out of the small grating of the cell, I saw the sun was rising, I looked back and saw Celestia's horn emitting a small glow.
"Sunrise already? How long was I out?" as she looked at me she brought a hoof to her chin "Roughly about 7 hours I think." 7 hours? that's a hell of a long time "7 hours? that's a long time to remember, sis." she chuckled and replied "You have been away, for a thousand years, I'm not surprised you've lost your memory." my eyes widened, but after a few moments I had formed back what had happened in my head, so it made sense, I yawned, it was unusual for me to yawn in the morning, as I closed my mouth a felt a small sharpness in my mouth, as I recalled feeling them in the memory "Hey sis, what's up with these?" as I opened my mouth slightly and pointed towards my fangs she looked at me and said "You are a 'pure' Alicorn, as in you are very strong and talented as you may know, but you were also of a 'special' type of Alicorn, they existed long before I was born, legend has it they were born as 'vamponies' and were shunned from the others because of this, and it would happen to be that you are a vampony like they were."
"Vampony? What's that?" as I asked that particular question she looked dead-serious at me "A vampony, is a pony who has either been born or has had the gene transferred to them, either at their own will, or at force, vamponies, while looking like normal ponies, have glistening eyes, you will need to feed on blood every now and then to be able to have the strength to cast your more 'advanced' spells such as invisibility, normal vamponies are effected by the sun and cannot be exposed to it for long."
I pondered the thought, being a Vampony and having to feed on blood was going to be hard, but if I'm talented in fire magic, why doesn't heat effect me like any other vampony? "Wait, if vamponies can't be exposed to heat for long, why am I talented in fire?" as she walked around the room a little she replied "As I said, you are 'pure', you aren't effected, by heat or anything a normal vampony is weak to, in fact, being highly talented in fire, you can bend it to your will such as, change it's color, or mold it into patterns, but if you do this out of your fire 'element', your coat will be surrounded in the color of flames and just flow around your body and coat, and your mane and tail will take on the effect of the flame itself."
That explained what happened a few days ago back in the basement, when my mane and coat were doing the same thing "So how exactly am I going feed on blood from a pony, their not exactly going to be comfortable or willing to allow me to take it in that way, sis."
"I'm sure something will work out, I have a feeling it will."
I pondered in my mind to try and take on everything that my mind had been flooded with, being a vampony was not going to be easy, and how was I supposed to tell Twilight? Yeah sure, I'll admit I like her a lot, but hey, can't rush those things now anyway, she'll probably try to kill me if she finds out that I'm a vampony.
After a few minutes of silence I finally came back to one particular thing, Twi's fire element.
"Hey sis, a while back while I was helping Twilight with a spell, she gave a glimpse of a fire element in a rather big explosion, don't suppose you know about that do you?" as she looked at me and smiled "So you're that mysterious black alicorn Twilight found, yes, Twilight does have a fire element, but she doesn't know about it or how to control it, and I'm sure your willing to help her, seeing as you have a strong feeling for her." she winked at me and I felt uneasy, but I kept steady "How did you know about that?" she chuckled " You forget I'm an alicorn too, I can sense my own brothers feeling you know." I looked at the floor and quietly cursed "Damn, forgot about that." as I looked around I asked one last question "You think Twilight's the one who will help me with the blood don't you?" she smiled back at e and chuckled and replied "It is a high possibility, yes she might even want to become 'pure' herself, after all, she did just become an alicorn."
I cocked my head, when did that happen, I did see her back in the dining room, but I never got to see her much "Huh, okay, now what do we do? I'm getting a little bored of this cell." as she smiled at me she said "Not so fast, I need to introduce you to the rest of her friends, but, the vampony and fire element will stay our secret.....for now." as we walked out of the cell, the darkness around me seemed to comfort me, and I somehow felt stronger, but only in a very small way "Sure, hope this time I don't get stuff thrown at me."

Hello everypony! it's been such a long time since I last posted/updated hasn't it?
Indeed, however, this post isn't related to the story in moral point...however it IS a rather grave sentiment...

Yes, you read/heard that correctly.
The reason for this is simply because of the lack of an editor, I had the 2nd chapter of Ancient Friends ready for proofreading and editing...however I lost the heart and feel for it...same as my second and poor story, My Life In Equestria.
But no, this is not the end of me...I AM working on one major thing...
Fallout Equestria: Darkest Depths.
Now you are probably all thinking "OH SWEET CELESTIA, IT'S GOING TO BE HORRIBLE!"
Perhaps it will be.
Perhaps it won't, I cannot say, you all know my work..over the months I have gotten a little better in my writing, but I am no more than a beginner than I was before, there are bound to be mistakes...and hopefully I have an editor for it.
I will TRY my best to make it as best I can and as interesting as I can...but none the less I can't promise a mona lisa of a story for you all...I got some decent views on my 2nd fic, yes, but I will admit...that was poor beyond extent...I was just so broken down that I lost my previous editor that I wanted to just get something up...
I discovered from this, my work isn't best based in the dark/adventurous type stories...but in the realm of fantasy, were things are what you want them to be...there will be no shoddy designs in this fic, no OPness, no poor excuses...I will try my BEST to get this thing to work.
I hope to see some things in the future from you all...the story will be getting it's prologue tomorrow, hopefully...

Okay everypony as before stated I said I was going to be working on a fallout equestria fic, as truth, I AM doing this however, it will take a LOT of time to get it up to par, however, in the meantime I am going to be working on an inspired fic from the Walking Dead, in hopes to actually get something decent done, hopefully it works, if not, it doesn't, sorry if I disappointed any of you, I'm just not too good a writer at the moment.
This chapter is NOT anything to do with the ongoing story, but a request to anypony out there who is willing to assist.
As you all should know I lost my editor a while back, and since then have not had the courage to publish any current chapters for any of my 2 stories, because I simply think that they are not up to standard and will not be even worthy of being read by anypony, or to even be looked at, it pained me as to when I first acquired my very first editor, upon the mistakes that were so blatantly obvious, they made a mockery of me.
This simple request is that to anyone willing to help, notify me on their availability, I cannot pay any sum of money for this and will only acquire editors who work at a FREE service, but in return will receive credit in the aft-section of each chapter.
I will also announce that any criticism that is harsh is not approved of, I am giving you my best here guys, so I'll be writing chapters and publishing as I go, they won't be top notch quality, but I'll be phasing through each one to correct minor spelling errors and grammar effects.
There is also NO time limit to when the chapters are needed to be completed by editing, but I ask that a schedule of no longer than 2-3 weeks tops is maximized, if for any reason an extended time limit is required, I ask that I am messaged with the reason, and the time needed for the extension.
