Rise of Organization XIII
They Conquered
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTwilight Sparkle made up her mind. “I choose… knowledge,” she said, confident with her choice. She levitated the book and placed it in Xemnas’ hands. Having no need for it, he tossed it at Zexion’s hooves. Creating an illusion with the fleeting strength he still had, he made a vortex appear in the doorway.
“There, we can go back now,” he said weakly.
The ponies still stood in their path, cutting them off from the door. But they were forlorn, disappointed in Twilight.
“Why are we leaving?” asked Larxene. “If we aren’t going to extract their hearts, we should at least kill them!”
“Are you mad?” cried Demyx. “I’m bushed! I can’t fight anymore.”
“Go home if you want, wuss,” mocked Xigbar. He painfully leveled his gun at Pinkie Pie. “I can… still… fight.” He fell back down.
“Hmph, aren’t you lot pathetic,” mumbled the rose user. Marluxia gathered up some reserves of strength and struck with his curved, colorful weapon. He knocked the Apples flat. The ponies shared the exhaustion the Organization felt and could do nothing against the recovering Nobodies. Axel crashed his chakrams together like cymbals on Vinyl’s head, incinerating her. Luxord shuffled his cards and dealt them out, keeping Celestia busy flipping cards to get them out of her face while dice the size of hailstones buried her alive. Vexen slammed his shield on the carpeted floor, glaciating Fluttershy, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash.
Twilight watched in horror as her friends quickly lost the lead they had earlier. Luna got decapitated by Saix’s claymore, Cadence was crushed by Lexaeus’ axe-sword, Discord was bludgeoned by Xemnas’ ethereal blades, and Zecora was drowned by Demyx.
Then, the most painful part came next. Shining Armor, normally so brave and full of hope, was reduced to a grief-stricken loser shocked by the horrific scene of mass-murder he had just witnessed. He looked into Twilight’s eyes, silently pleading her to do something. Xemnas stood beside her, looking smug and satisfied.
“He’s mine,” claimed Xaldin. He spun his six lances, some of them floating in midair beside him. He flew forward and plunged his lances into Shining’s flesh, five for his chest and one for his neck. “Twily, why did you let this happen?” he asked with his dying breath. He hit the floor, blood trickling out from his impaled body.
Twilight gazed in horror. “No… not my brother. Not my friends, my teachers, my baby sitter.”
“Well, Twilight Sparkle. Are you ready for your next lesson?”
She gave no response.
“See, this is what Organization XIII has to do when people don’t cooperate,” taunted Xemnas. “Against us, you have three options: give up your heart, get out of our way, or DIE!” With that, he stabbed her through the heart with his blades. “Consider yourself taught.”
