Her name brought her out of her thoughts. She was thinking about how her friends were being ponynapped, or worse. "Twilight, dear. Is everything alright," the pony next to her asked. "Yes Rarity, I'm fine," she responded, looking away from the white unicorn. She was too ashamed for eye contact. "Ok, but let us continue our work. It may take your mind off of...it," Rarity said, horn lit and looking around. Twilight nodded, doing the same. The duo were out looking for the gems that Rarity needed for her new dress. With Spike dead, and the murderer still unknown, Rarity didn't want to do it by herself.
---------------------------------------------Several hours later---------------------------------------------
"How many have we found," Twilight asked, the heat causing sweat to run down her body. "Almost done, dear. Just a few more," Rarity said. Twilight continued to search, up until she couldn't handle the heat anymore. "Rarity, I'm going to the pond," Twilight said, leaving Rarity to her gem hunting. The pond was just a few minutes from the area they were hunting in, so Twilight thought Rarity would be fine.
Twilight approached the clear waters of the pond. Her thoughts, once again, turned to her friends. Her subconscious wouldn't let it go. "Aaahhh," she yelled, going for a drink, but instead, seeing all of her friend's reflections in the water. Twilight looked behind her, but saw nopony around. She looked back at the reflections. Some were normal, others weren't. Spike was missing his head, just as Rarity was fine. Fluttershy was in her bandages, back at the hospital. Both Applejack and Pinkie were tied up, and Rainbow had nothing wrong, except her cutie mark. The white cloud had turned dark.
"Girls," Twilight started, beginning to cry. She would have sworn that she had gone nuts again, because of the unexpected response that she received. "It's alright, sugarcube," the Applejack apparition said, looking sad upon the trembling unicorn. "Did you just talk," Twilight asked, her tears beginning to stop. "We absolutely did, darling," The Rarity reflection interjected, the same look on her as Applejack's. "Hi...everyone," Twilight said. All but one replied, Rainbow. Her appearance turned away and walked away, soon to disappear. 'Was that a smile on her face,' Twilight asked herself. As she turned to look at the rest of her friends, Rarity changed. Twilight jumped back at the sight. Rarity had a large iron skewer through her body, starting at her anus and going through to the bottom of her horn, and she was being cooked in a fire. Twilight even saw her hooves melting.
"Rarity," Twilight said pathetically, crying on a nearby tree. After a few minutes, she looked up. She decided what time it was, and that it would be best to go back to Rarity. She took some fruit from some nearby trees and sucked the juices out as she walked back to where she left the other unicorn.
Another few minutes passed, and Twilight was worrying. She should have found Rarity by now, but there were no traces anywhere. "Rarity," she yelled as she continued to walk down the trail. She did that many times, but she never received a response. Twilight was beginning to panic. She had promised to keep Rarity safe, and she failed.
Twilight finally reached the spot where she left the white unicorn. The surroundings were exactly the same, nothing disturbed. "Rarity," she whimpered, tears forming in her eyes. That's when she found a clue. There was Rarity's bag that held the gems, but the gems were missing. Twilight thought that was odd, so she continued to look around. She found a two prints that were dog-like and a dragged pony's. "Rarity," she gasped, utterly realizing that her friend had been kidnapped. Yet, the criminals were still at large.
"Unhand me, you uncivilized hooligans," Rarity screamed as she was dragged through an underground cavern. "Shut up," said a high pitched noise from the creatures that held her. "I will not," she said. She was so tempted to connect her hoof to one of the dogs, but she was a lady, and would not resort to violence like that. 'I know Twilight will save me,' she thought, but each minute in the Diamond Dogs' grasp diminished her hope.
"Rarity," Twilight yelled, looking for her missing friend. The sky was beginning to darken, so she had to hurry. She stopped to take a breath. She looked at the position of the sun and was shocked when she discovered that she had been searching for the past three hours. She had to get going again. She started walking onward, eventually reaching a full run. "Rarity," Twilight started to yell every fifteen seconds, hoping for an answer. Being busy in her thoughts, Twilight didn't notice the pile of rocks in front of her. She tripped, rolling down the hill she was just in top of.
After what seemed like an hour, Rarity resorted to her desperate measures. First, with whining. "Pplleeaassee," she said in a high pitched tone. She only got a short "no" from the 'animals'. "I wanna go...," was all she was able to say before one of the 'brutes laid a hand on her'. She was thrown across the cavern floor into the side wall. "You will be quiet, pony," one of the 'mindless minions' whispered into her ear, which creeped her out. "Until she arrives," he continued, a sinister tone protruded his voice. 'It's official, I'm scared,' she thought. 'I hope Twilight finds me soon,' she wished.
"She will not, you mindless beauty queen." Rarity, furious of being called mindless, turned her head, only to fear more from what she saw. The Queen of the Dogs, covered in various gems and surrounded by many more mutts, at the top of a balcony carved in the top of the cavern. "Queen, this pony was spotted above. We captured her again for you," the mutt that talked to her earlier said. "Good," the queen said slowly. Her head turned toward Rarity, grinning happily. "Well, do you have anything to say in your defense before we sentence you," she said. "I have done absolutely nothing to you, so I see no reason to," Rarity said, grinning. The queen turned very hostile. "You have trespassed on Diamond Dog territory," the queen yelled. "Very well, my last words would be, buck you," Rarity said, laughing quietly to herself.
The queen look angrily at Rarity, seeing the smile on her face. "Fine then, maximum sentence. Have her done by supper time," she said, leaving the dogs that captured her. "Yes, madam," the group leader said. The leader turned his head to the others, and gave out orders. The other four nodded and got to work. The one on Rarity's right, a differently colored one, went over to a pit with wood in the center. He grabbed the two flint stones near the pit and started a fire. The oddly colored one nodded to the leader. The leader turned his head toward the unicorn, asking, "How do you like yourself."
"What," Rarity yelled. "Get the skewer," the lead mutt commanded the one to her left, a big muscled dog. He returned with a metal spear. Rarity started to struggle, but the other two kept her in place. "On the floor, pony," he commanded. She obeyed, if only to surprise him. "Ruk, keep her in place," he said, the big muscled dog followed. He grabbed onto her, restricting her movement. The leader brought the metal spear forward with him. One of the other dogs lifted up her tail, exposing her to the leader. He brought the spear up to her anus. "Please, no," she tried to plead, but the dogs ignored her. The leader brought the spear forward, entering into her.
"Ahhhh," she screamed, her walls ripping apart. He never stopped pushing it further. She could feel it entering into her stomach. "Ahhhh, please," she scream, tears pouring down her face, and her voice become weaker. The dogs were laughing. Rarity looked back and saw that they were laughing at her because she was bleeding. The leader took a lick of the fluid dripping out. He liked it, and cleaned up the rest that escaped. He stopped, deciding all the blood was cleaned up, and pushed the spear farther, resulting in Rarity's throat becoming scratched. It was becoming harder for Rarity to breath. Blood was now flowing out of her mouth into a puddle below her. Rarity felt faint, felt it was harder to move and breath.
The two other dogs were down on their knees, licking up the pool of blood that had formed. Rarity tried to make words, but only managed to choke on her blood. She tried to cry, but she was too tired to even try. "I believe the pony is almost done. Is the fire ready," the leader asked, halting the movement of the spear. "Yes," another one said. Rarity was certain that it was Ruk. When Rarity was able to regain some of her strength, she cried what she could. "Don't worry pony, this will be quick," he said. He moved, but Rarity didn't feel it. All she felt was an instant tiredness, then nothing. She was gone. "Put her on the fire. Don't burn her this time," The leader said. "Yes," Ruk said. Ruk looked back at the dead body, regretfully seeing the spear jutting out just below her horn.
"Rarity," Twilight yelled, exhausted from looking for said pony for the past 6 hours in the hot sun. She looked at the now risen moon, hoping for some sign. She took another step, but fell as soon as she put the hoof down. "Uhh," she sighed. She had to get some help. 'But for now, rest,' her thoughts protruded in.
