In the name of Equestria

The place: Just an icy isolated mountain. The date: I think that time and date had stopped in this place. Time of the day: No clue, the day and the night are the same, dark and dull.

These are the features that anypony would say if he went to the top of the icy mountains outside the borders of the Crystal Empire. He would think that nopony, whatever was his stamina, talent and power's strength, would never survived living in such a place.

But in that exact same place, was the banishment of an old evil. An evil that every pony though it was just past and will never have a return. But this evil was never at rest, at a continuous seeking to get its revenge from every pony who had ever stepped in its way.

After their shameful defeat from the two new married couple -now the rulers of the Crystal Empire- , Queen Chrysalis and her Changelings army had spent their last two years seeking a way to return and get the revenge.

They have been really weakened by the two lover’s spell. It got them to the ground and took a lot of their powers, the thing that will make Chrysalis unable to use her shape shifting spell. Also the fact of their banishment to a very far place from anypony made the feeding on other’s love even harder.

But Chrysalis had some resources to keep herself and her army alive. As she have been sending some of her troops to kidnap whomever they witnessed. And brought him\ her to the mountain to feed on all the love they have.

One day, one of the changelings was just taking a round in the mountains seeking food. But he found something different from what he had in mind. He found a piece of a horn. But this horn was different from his, or anypony else’s horn.

It was a tip of a bright red horn. It wasn't cone shaped like any other horn, but was flattened and sharp. As if it was a piece of a broken sword. The sight of it brings the sense of fear and safety. Any unicorn would sense a lot if evil power embedded in this horn, eager to be released.

The changeling took the horn back to his queen, to see if she could get any benefit from all this evil within it. It flew back to the mountain and put it under his queen’s legs.

At the first sight of the horn. She knew that the horn held a power of an old villain. She sensed the pain of a restless soul seeking rest which will come only from the revenge from the people who put him in this eternal doom.

She thought first of giving the horn to her army to feed on. But she had a better idea. She thought of getting a new powerful and loyal soldier into her army. But this attempt would use up all her and her army’s power. But she had nothing to lose.

Somehow Chrysalis could get her hooves on an old book. The Book of the Dark Magic was the title. And as the title said, it was about old dark magic that was forbidden in equestrian. And thus all the books and the scrolls on this subject had been burnt along time ago. And this copy in Chrysalis hoof may be the last copy of this devilish book.

She opened the yellow paged book. And found the spell she wanted. The raising dead spell. It was a spell created to bring back the dead people by giving the body back their soul from something that held the pony’s power –as the writer of the book had described it-. And that horn was perfect to bring back that doomed evil.

She drew a strange circle with some old symbols around it. And inside she drew a 5 armed star. But one arm had the shape of a devil’s head of some sort. She put the horn in the central part of the circle. Then she called all her minions and they all stood around the circle. Then with a signal of their queen they all let a huge charge of yellowish- green aurora, which made the entire circle illuminate with the same color.

The horn started to shake in its place and let a strange dark violet aurora of it. Then it got levitated from its place to midair. The entire aurora in the circle’s lines got concentrated in the central part. And it started to make a form of a big unicorn with radiant spots of light of the same color of the horn’s aurora. And the horn got attached to that structure.

Then the entire aurora faded, revealing a male unicorn with a black coat. He was wearing a silver armor and a cloak of some sort of royal red silk. His eyes were as that of a snake but bright red. He had big white fangs which made the creature more fearful.

After the spell most of the changelings have fainted from the overdose of the power. But Chrystalis had managed to stay on her legs to see her new soldier. But she saw something else, a king of some sort.

“Who are you?” Said Chrysalis.

“I’m King Sombra.” Said the unicorn with a loud voice. “The former dictator ruler of the Chrystal Empire. And who might you be?”

“I’m Queen Chrysalis, the queen of the changelings and your savior from the doom.”

“So you’re the one who brought me back from death. But why?”

“To become my new loyal soldier and serve me to repay your dept.”

“Servant, Ha. I’m a king you ugly monster. You’re the one who should be serving me.”

“This isn't a good way to talk to a queen. That’s it. I’m putting you back to death.”

“Wait! You didn't tell me what services you wanted from me. Perhaps we could have an agreement.”

“I want the same thing you want. To get revenge from the people who exiled me and killed you once.”

“You mean the pink alicorn and the white coated clown.”

“Yes, but you seem uninterested in my offer. So I’ll just send you back.”

“No no! That’s an undeniable offer. But instead of being your servant, we should be allies. I’ll get my throne back and you’ll get your revenge. And I’ll also make you my queen on the Empire.”

“ Hmmm, Allies ha. Alright I accept it.”

“Good. Now let’s work on your pathetic army.”

“They’re not pathetic. They've been weakened by the attempt of getting you back from death that’s all.”

“ Alright alright! They’re not pathetic. But they will never stand a chance in this form.”

“So, what’s your plan to get them back in their form?”

“I know some ponies around the Empire who are still loyal to me. Some of them are very powerful and have a lot of knowledge. And they will help me for sure.”

“Okay, let’s get this started. We will destroy Shining Armor and Cadence.”
