Chapter 1: How it started.
Character Introduction: Tech
Description: A very smart pony, good at puzzle solving. His knowledge mostly includes Mechanical builds such as artificial limbs and robotics. His only true friend is a cyborg pony he and his Father created by the name of Commadore, before his father had died. He has a Cutie Mark of a Wrench and Gear showing his passion for Mechanical Engineering.
Personality: Tech is a social outcast. He’s never had any true friends except for Commadore, his cyborg companion. So he is very lonely at times. He is a rather smart stallion with a liking of mechanical engineering. He’s a quick learner and takes in his surroundings fairly fast. He can be brave but generally relies on the help of his friends to get past threatening situations.
Backstory: Tech was born into the Ratchet family. Famous for their mechanical engineering, They made the best of equipment. They even made the first car. Though Tech didn’t get to know them for long, When he turned 5 his family decided to move to a new location as they weren’t making much money anymore since everypony in the area now already had just about everything they needed from the Ratchet family. But on their way they were ambushed by a pack of Bandits. He and Commadore were smart enough to hide inside a crate of supplies when this happened but sadly the rest of his family wasn't. He managed to survive and make way to the nearest town of Wellpony where he grew up and continued to live.
Abilities: Tech has the ability to create robots and fix vehicles so long as he has the correct parts for it. He also has a passive ability of quick thinking and puzzle solving
Character Introduction: Commadore
Description: A Cyborg built by Tech and his father to be a companion for Tech. He's about the average size of most ponies and has a grey coat with a black mane. He is fairly smart with his computer mind allowing him to analyze most situations. He has no Cutie Mark being a Cyborg.
Personality: Commadore is a simple Pony built to be the best friend of Tech. He shares similar characteristics in his personality as Tech. He is glad to help when his services are needed and is generally kind to those he's familiar with. He is also programmed to protect Tech from dangers such as mutants and Bandits.
Backstory: Commadore was created by Tech and his Father when tech was young to be a friend and guardian for the young outcast. He grew up with Tech on their own after the Ratchet family was murdered by Bandits. He spends the majority of his time helping Tech around his shop and studying for high school. When Tech is at high school Commadore will generally take care of the shop selling their merchandise and coming up with designs for new products for Tech to work on.
Abilities: Commadore is an Enhanced Cyborg Pony with abilities such as, Harder Defense, Better Strength, Faster Analyzing, and a Stronger Mind. He can easily analyze a situation and think of a solution for most situations.
Hi! My name is Techmo! Though most people call me Tech, This is the story about how I found my friends and how we saved Equestria! It’s not the brightest of stories but it sure is interesting
It all started about two or 150 years ago… We had all started getting used to the new ruler Princess Celestia and her sister Luna. Everything was nice and happy and everypony would go out and do the normal things you would do any other day. Such as tending to gardens, Visiting friends and relatives, and even going for a nice walk. Though I wasn’t the kind to do that, No… I was the kind of pony that stayed inside most of the day working on Robots and Cars and artificial limbs to sell to the public. I actually built a pair of wings for my own use, but I don’t use them often as they are exhausting to use and takes a lot of practice.
The only time I would ever go outside is when I needed food and supplies or when I went to school. I was going to graduate from high school this year and I could finally be done with it and have more time to work on my projects, though it didn’t happen that easily.
Everypony was doing their normal things around town, and I was at school. I had left my Cyborg companion Commadore in charge of my shop in case anyone wanted to buy a few things while I was out.
When I got to the school it started like any normal day. I went to class did a few tests learned some history and other unique subjects. I then went to eat lunch and listen to some of the chatter going on near me. I would normally find out some interesting things from doing this. It was all normal until the end of the school day, when Genny the schools expert in astronomy started panicking about something coming our way though we gave little attention to it. Everyone left the school normally and returned to their homes.
When I got back to my shop I saw Commadore standing at the counter waiting for my arrival. I had just gotten inside and headed downstairs when the sirens started. Suddenly a loud voice was casted over the town. All that could be heard was. “Attention citizens! It is your mayor here. We have a report from Manehatten explaining a threat to life as we know it… I have been told there is a giant rock about a quarter the size containing some form of freezing material from space heading this way right now. The estimated arrival time is roughly one week. We have been advised it would be smart to evacuate to Canterlot where the Royal sisters will be able to protect us with a magical shield. We will begin evacuation in one hour.”
I started to panic a bit. What else was I supposed to do? I had just received news that life as we know it could very well end! There was still a chance though. I could make it to Canterlot where everyone would be safe. So I began to pack all my equipment together and attached it to Commadore so we could head up and wait for everyone to gather and head to Canterlot. When I got out of my shop I saw everyone standing near the town entrance with very worried expressions on their faces. I didn’t blame them after all we only had a week to make it to Canterlot which was about halfway across Equestria.
An hour passed and the entrance opened, revealing a group of guard ponies from Celestia’s newly formed army. They were here to guide us to Canterlot. Or at least try, when we left the city we had headed straight for Canterlot. We had made it halfway there and were at a town by the name of Subcity. It was named that because of the fact that it was an underground city. We slept there for the night since we had walked for four days with very little sleep.
When we woke up we resumed our journey to Canterlot, we had about three days left to get there and where only half way there. It would take a miracle to get there alive.
After two more days of travelling all was looking well. We were almost to Canterlot and nothing seemed to be wrong. Although Commadore seemed to be worried about something but wouldn’t tell me, he said it would be best if I didn’t know.
Later that night we had all setup camp and planned to high tail it in the morning in order to make it in time before the meteor landed. So we all got sleep except for Commadore who was standing off to the side of the camp looking to the sky. I decided to ignore it and proceeded to sleep I needed to get up early so we could get out of here.
As morning came and we started to wake I heard somepony screaming about something. Before I could do anything a shockwave hit us and a giant wave of frost came over us. The meteor had hit and froze us all.
It would be a very long time before we left this camp.
