The Story of Binary

You're here. You're outside the laboratory that your friends dared you to visit. It stands tall and proud, even in it's withered and abandoned state. You look around, there's a somewhat eerie aura around this place. You wonder who's idea it was to put a building this in the middle of the Everfree Forest, maybe to study the denizens of the forest? Regardless, this place is creepy.

You gulp, walk towards the door and push on the door. You are instantly hit with the strong stench of blood and cover your mouth and nose. You look around, trying not to breath too often. The lights keep flickering on and off, you wonder why they're even on, you decide not to dwell on that subject. Walking down the corridor you can't help but look into one of the doors, you peek through the small window in the door and instantly regret your decision. Standing on the other side of the door was a pony-like creature with long razor blades for forelegs, which happened to be drenched in blood. You hope it didn't see you.

*SMASH*

The door, that you were holding shut prior to that moment, splinters and launches you to the other side of the corridor, which happens to be a few metres, so you smash into a wall. You quickly clamber to your feet and locate the creature, it's crouching down of the floor, it slowly lifts it's head to look at you, it's eyes are filled with insanity. It's mouth forms a slight smile as it limps towards you. At this point you notice it has a shard of metal sticking out of it's side, covered in dried blood. You can only assume it was the final stand of a scientist. You notice you've managed to back up against a wall. You try the last thing possible.

"Please don't hurt me..." You manage to mumble feebly.

The creature stops moving and stares confused at you, it makes a noise "Wha Fud Ai Hurt Ooh?"

It then cries in pain and clenches the shard of metal. It's eyes that were momentarily filled with innocence were yet again filled with insanity. But the creature tries to fight back. It clenches it's face and tries to console itself.

"No no no, no no no, no keel keel. No keel keel!"

You edge along towards the creature, thankfully it doesn't notice you. You take a closer look at the shard of metal. It turns out to be some sort of serum injection device. You grip the device and yank as hard as you can. It comes out of the creature and flies across the corridor, you fall over backwards. The creature cries in pain, then looks at where the device used to be. It's eyes return to their look of innocence and the creature tilts it's head to the side questioningly. You figure the serum was some kind of experiment on this specimen, you hope it went wrong and wasn't meant to do that on purpose.

You walk away from the creature before something bad happens. You go through a door in the corridor and enter the room your friends told you to check out. Room 1010. You open the door. You investigate the room, which is difficult because the lighting is terrible in here and goes from pitch black to too bright when the lights flicker. Your heart stops, you saw something in front of you when the lights flickered. It looked like a pony. You look at where it was, the lights flicker again, you see the pony again. This time you get a better look, you see that the pony is a pegasus, green and black in colour.

"Hello there." The green pony says, his voice trembling slightly.

"H...Hi..." You say, your voice trembling more.

"You don't know who I am, do you?"

"N...No I don't, uh, sho...Should I?" You look to your left and right.

"Haven't you heard the tales, of the experiments that went on here?" The lights flicker off and on, revealing the pony has disappeared. But then you hear a voice to your left "The cybernetic experiments?"

"No, I haven't!" You yell into the darkness.

The lights turn on, and stay on. The green pony stands right in front of you, a wide grin on his face "Well I should start explaining then. Let's start with a scientific report!" The pony excitedly reaches into a drawer and pulls out some paper that has been stapled together. He places it on a desk, which you walk over to.

The pony looks at you "Name's Binary, by the way!"
