I woke up the next morning feeling a lot better then I did yesterday. I got on all fours off the bed and went out the door. I saw Jam talking to somepony. They saluted to each other and parted ways.
"Morning Cass. Sleep well?" He asked.
"Morning. Yeah I feel a lot better. You know were Fridzy is? I need to talk with her."
"Yeah she's on the roof, last floor up. Just go threw though's doors and take the stairs. Want me to get somepony to assist you up them?"
"No, no I'll be fine. Thank you Jam."
"My pleasure."
I went up the flight of stairs wishing there was an elevator. Out of breath I finally made reached the roof. I saw Fridzy standing on a ledge. She noticed me and leaped over to me.
"Good morning Cass. You must be feeling a lot better if you made it up though's stairs."
"Yeah. Hey whats your job here? Sense your all the way up here.
"My job? I'm a scout for the sniping squad. I'm the fastest pony in our Faction. Nothing can hit me. Also if I'm not out scouting them I'm off searching for objects things lost like squads or out looking for spy's and what not."
"Okay. Cool.Hey listen, the reason why I'm really here is because I need to talk to you about something. Some stuff about how I feel about you."
"Yeah and.." Fridzy eyes got big and she walked closer to me. I froze for a second. "Cass, you there?" everything sounded echoy.
"Uhhh, sorry. Guess I'm still tired from going up the stairs." I lied "Well again the reason why I'm up here is to talk to you..." an alarm went off. Jams voice was on the speaker.
"We are under attack! All out post down! Ready our defense, prepare for battle!!" We ran (I ran, Fridzy flew) down stairs over to Jam. Delta was there with him.
"Whos attacking us?" I asked. Fridzy and Delta said Yeah? at the same time to Jam.
"I don't know. But we must prepare for the worst. Anything can happen."
"Agreed." Delta said. We went over to the front of the HQ on the roof. We watched and waited for five minutes and saw one pony running at our front gates. Delta looked through his sniper rifle.
"A Tankmen."
"A Tankmen? Why would just one of them be running at us?" I asked
"Take him out!" Jam commanded all units through a radio. They all opened fire with machine guns, rocket launchers, and grenades. He was jumping all around dodging all of our fire power, jumping on rockets and turning the back at us. We jumped for cover and our gates blew right open with a large vibration.
"Thats no ordinary Tankmen. Thats the leader!" Delta yelled.
"Wheres the rest of his men?" Jam asked furiously.
"Try in our HQ. Our men are dropping like bowling pins." Fridzy replied. We heard one of them yell as they were fighting
"Kasparkova shall fall with his men!"
"I turned around and the Tankmen leader was standing on the ledge with a scythe on his back and a sniper rifle crossed.
Then I remembered. He was Truedeath. I was training with him when were little. We were best of friends until Wynter currupted him with a dark spell. He killed our master then he and his four other friends created a group called Tankmen. Tank in meaning unstoppable. After the death of master they then tried getting me to join but I resisted. I held on to my pride, loyalty, and honor. For me saying no they attempted to kill me. I fought back, I was stronger. I was the better pony. They ran away swearing for vengeance. Expectantly Truedeath. I lost a master and my brothers..
Coming back into reality. I never knew I knew how to fight like the way I did with Truedeath. But now I do. I can do what he can.
"Truedeath?"
"You know him?" asked Fridzy "But you hated them for years and never told any of us you knew him?" She felt betrayed. I could see it on her face,
"I'm sorry. I can't remember why I.. I do remember, I was a shamed for knowing him."
"How touching. I see I didn't kill you yet. Figured the bullet would of taken you out." He had a weird ascent, like British mixed with high class Australian. He had a light blond hair, quite long. It covered up one eye and he had a molecule in the other. Again another pony with no cutie mark. "Kova, I need to ask as your still alive. Why don't you die? I mean your fighting for a lost cause."
"I do whats right."
"Yes, yes I know. Wait whats this a unicorn? This is hysterical! You left the all mighty Wynter to die with these fools?"
"Casper is a good leader! If I must I would rather die by his side know I did for a good cause."
"Wait a minute. Your the sniper that did this to me arn't you?" He uncovered the right part of his face from his hair reveling a scar across his cheek.
"You were really close. To bad you didn't kill me." he chuckled. "Well Kova, lets make a deal. I see that you greatly love your friends here so how about this.." our men were brought up with swords and guns pointed at them then forced to the fround. "I spare their lives for your head. What do you say?"
I thought for a moment. Fridzy said "Cass Don't listen to him!" I had no other choice but to listen to him. If I don't they'll die because of me but then again because of Wynter. I had a plan.
"Truedeath, I'll let you take my head but let me say my last goodbyes."
"Cass please don't." Fridzy was about to cry. I walked over to delta and told him something in a low voice so no one can hear. I walked over to Truedeath.
"I'm ready for my fate." I closed my eyes and leaned my head forward. I hear him pull out something. I opened my eyes looked over at Delta and smiled. As I heard the wind being sliced I jumped out of the way and Delta used a Blinding spell to (of coarse) Blind him and the four others. As they were blinded Jam ordered everypony to take the Tankmen down and tie them up.
"Delta was on the floor. I trotted up to him.
"Whats wrong?" I asked in a panic.
"I'm not good with magic but, but I'll be fine."
"Hope so. You saved us all." I had the medics take him away to aid him. A soldier tole me that the Tankmen were tied up with their vision back. I remembered that Truedeath had a spell on them that made them like this.
"I should of killed you when I had a chance you hear Kova!"
"I wish I could have you back my friend."
I had a hard headache. Something was calling me.. calling me to go back to the bunker 97. Something is there.. Thats why Wynter was there because she was looking for it. It...
