[A/N] IMPORTANT. For fans of the other stories, this isn't cannon. There isn't any dialog on purpose.
Hard Chord stood still with a depressed expression on his face as the cell door slowly opened. His life had been ruined from the stupidest mistake he had ever made. He is life was going tough, instead of doing the mature thing, he threw it down a hole and buried it alive. He thought back to every thing that brought him to this hell hole.
Twilights' stomach swelled with the presence of life as she was due to give birth soon. She hopped on the couch with her boyfriend and peppered his face with kisses. The two had been together for years now and were happier together than ever with a foal on the way. The two lovers laid on the couch as they shared kiss after kiss.
A knock on the door interrupted. As Hard Chord answered his heart dropped but he faked a smile and greeted his brother along with his two friends Soarin and Nova Burst. Twilight herself greeted them as well. Offering them any drinks which they declined.
Electronic Notes spoke to his brother telling him the plan to what they were about to do. Soarin and Nova gathered and watched Hard Chord. Each of them saying a prayer, knowing that this would hurt Twilight but what choice did they have. The hospital bill was going to be big and with tight money, they had to do this for him.
Hard Chord told Twilight that he was going to simply 'solve' their problems. Twilight knew instantly what that meant and grabbed him in an attempt to keep him from going. Hard Chord pulled his hoof away and tried to assure his girlfriend that every thing would be alright.
If only he knew.
Thy stood outside the Canterlot Diamond shop waiting. At a certain time, after they finished, they would run for the train and make a clean get away to Ponyville. They all had on cloaks to keep their identities secret. Underneath the hoods were face mask to make sure not a single pony saw the faces about to commit the crime.
As soon as they all heard the train pull into the station, a pat on the back and they charged the diamond store. Breaking glass and taking values while threatening the cash register. Collecting a thousand bits worth, they hurried as guards swarmed the store. They ran out the back and saw the train was about to leave. The first pony on got handed all the bits and soon the rest were on the very back except Hard Chord. Just before he could jump on however, a guard managed to tackle him to the ground. The rest couldn't react as the train had already took off.
The guards pulled the hood back and the mask down and were shocked to see his face.
Twilight was in tears. Hard Chord hadn't returned home since last night. Rainbow Dash said that Soarin came home, so did Pinkie who said Nova returned, Even Vinyl said her husband made it home. However when she saw the news paper and saw her boyfriends face on the cover being taken by royal guards.
A lone tear fell out of her left eye.
The door to opened as Hard Chord was pushed in as guard began to inspect him of any weapons. Piercings weren't aloud and with the bottom lip piercing he had, the guards removed it and place it on a tray. Soon he was exposed to guards and had his mouth opened to be checked once more. Several prisoners, mainly consisting of tough looking ponies along with young dragons that could fit in the facility and Griffins. They all pointed and laughed at his exposed areas. He only ignored it as they sent him in with prison fatigues. As he walked down the aisle, several prison inmates intimated him with threats.
The worse thing there was the fact there wasn't a single pony that could relate to him.
Twilight had shown up a week later. She saw several people there. Most of which were either family members who were used to them in prison or gang members planing to bust them out only to be detained after they walk out. There was one mare there with a new born foal who she was making a waving motion towards the stallion behind the glass. Twilight could only imagine when their baby was born.
She saw Hard Chord behind the glass. It almost pained her to see him in prison clothing. She knew that he wasn't a bad Stallion. He didn't ask for this. She sat down and talked to him through the holes in the glass that separated them. It wasn't long before Twilight had gotten angry. She yelled at Hard Chord for going with them. Hard Chord tried to tell her that he didn't have a choice or else they would have raised their foal homeless. Twilight only stated that maybe he should have prepared instead of being so lazy. She stood up and walked to her carriage outside in a fit.
Hard Chord put his hoof on the glass and wished he had said that he loved her.
Twilight was in tears from the confrontation. So caught up in her thoughts that she was unaware of a runaway carriage that slammed into hers and full speeds.
The funeral was attended. The ones who pulled the heist that were their apologized and blamed the death on themselves. In the front row of the chairs that were set to watch Twilight Sparkle be buried, rested her mother. She was a strong mare, having cried her tears with her husband. In her hooves laid a new-born foal with a black mane with a purple stripe in it with a light brown coat.
Hard Chord was informed the the next morning after he last talked to her. A picture of the foal was given to him. He could only stare at it and try not to cry. He had loved her but now regretted ever agreeing to this heist. He fought back tears for weeks. Prisoners caught wind of it and made jokes about Twilights death. A few actually said sorry for the lost. Even a few comforting pats on the back couldn't break Hard Chords depression. He knew that when he gets out in a few years that she wouldn't be waiting for him. Just one of her relatives holding their child who would hopefully have some symphony for him.
So here he was. Cell door opened all the way after what seemed an eternity. Hard Chord stepped out and into the real world. There was one thing he needed to do.
He saw the grave. His brother accompanying him. He simply bent down and ran a hoof over the grave. Tracing it in the letters engraved in the stone. A little foal walked up to him and hugged his hoof. Hard Chord only picked him up put him on his back and walked off with his brother.
