The Unexpected Saviour
Chapter 4: Cloudsdale
Previous ChapterNext Chapter-Jackson-
For half a second, while we made out, my mind wondered, ‘was that an accident or on purpose?’ but my mind, and nearly my body, too, melted at the passion in her kiss. Then I was kissing as well as I possibly could. Her lips felt weird but also somehow familiar. We kissed for about a half-hour, stopping only for air. After the extended make-out session, we got up, with no small amount of kissing, and walked outside. As we headed to Zecora’s, I confronted Rainbow with my fear of heights.
“If you are going to fly me to Cloudsdale, I need to tell you something”
“What is it?” she replied. She sounded a little annoyed.
‘Wow she really loves flying’ I mused.
“Well I'm not really the best person with heights. It’s not the height that bothers me, it’s the fear of falling and I also don’t like negative Gees.”
“Well at least I found out before you got the spell. I’ll fly carefully then.”
I didn’t expect that. I was surprised.
“Mmokay, then. But I need to get over my fear eventually, so you can fly as fast as you want.”
“Are you sure? I can fly really quickly, Jackson.”
“Just do what you need to, Rainbow.”
We continue walking and eventually get to Zecora’s hut.
We walk in and Rainbow asks, “Hey, Zecora, could you put the weight control spell on Jackson?”
“My dear, I understand what he needs.
Unfortunately, I have few leads.
You might try Twilight,
She’ll surely fix you up right.” Zecora rhymed, being her usual, confusing zebra self.
“Ok. thanks, Zecora.” I sigh at the Zebra.
Rainbow noticed the sigh in my thanks. “Jackson, what’s wrong?” she asked me.
I sigh, look her straight in the face and tell her about my dream. Her face gets more and more shocked the more of the dream I tell her.
When I am done telling her in great detail my dream, she groans stressfully, “aww man. I just got over depression, thanks to you. And now your dream makes you think we’ll lose each other.”
“yeah” I reply. “But what other choice do we have for the spell that is nearby?”
“Maybe Trixie. But she is really showy. Thankfully, she is in Ponyville today”
I think back to the show. “. . . Oh God, really? If I have to, Rainbow, I’ll bring her down a notch” I warn her.
“Don’t worry Jackson, I’ll hold you back.”
We leave Zecora’s hut and head back to Ponyville, searching for Trixie’s wagon.
After fifteen to twenty minutes of searching, we see a crowd on the side of the road, cheap tricks and hear somepony say, well, something.
“Trixie. . .” Rainbow and I say simultaneously, looking at each other.
We join the crowd and edge our way to the front. “Excuse me, pardon me” I mumble as I walk past many ponies. I accidentally step on a hoof.
The pony whose hoof I stepped on says, “Ow. My hoof. Watch it, you- . . . oh, a human.”
‘Human. . . must be a sort of auditory trigger for ponies’ I think, as all eyes turn to me, even Trixie’s. Trixie has an azure-colored coat and an ice blue mane.
“Excuse me, oh great and powerful Trixie,” I drawl sarcasm at her. “I need the assistance of a knowledgable unicorn. May I speak with you privately?”
“U-um yes human. Right this way.” She beckons nervously with a hoof and I follow, the ponies around me parting like the Red Sea did for Moses. I get to Trixie’s wagon and enter it. Rainbow is right behind me.
“S-so human, wh-what did y-you want?” Trixie asks me nervously.
“I need a spell put on me.” I answer.
“what spell? And why didn’t you go to Twilight?” Trixie asks, sounding a little less nervous.
“Weight control. I need it to live with my Pegasus marefriend. Oh, and if I hear any rumors about me and Rainbow dating . . . do I need to say more?” I threaten her, not really meaning it.
“I, the great-”
I cut her off. “Any of that, and I will just leave. I need this spell, no bullshit about you being better than anypony. I know you cannot match Twilight. The reason I chose you is because right now, my gut says ‘no’ to asking Twilight for anything, let alone seeing her in person. Can I rely on Trixie, the regular unicorn or do I have to leave?” I ask Trixie.
Her condescending attitude faded in an instant. She turns, checks her bookshelf, gets a book, and flips past a few pages.
“Aha, I found the spell.” She exclaims. She studies the book for a second. After a few seconds, her horn glows deep blue and I feel my body tingle and itch.
“Was it the right spell, Trixie?” I ask, concerned for my well being. She studies the book again, her nose inches from the paper.
“Yeah, I did do the right spell” she answers. There was something in her voice that made me think I was being lied to.
“lemme see!” I tell her. “gimme the book.” She hands me the book without closing it and shyly points out the spell she had really done. I see the spell and blush heavily. The spell she had done was not good.
‘Never-ending horniness. . . aw shit!’ I sigh mentally
I beckon Trixie closer. I lean into her ear and whisper, “Is this some sort of sick joke? Why did you do that spell?” I ask her nervously, hoping Rainbow couldn’t hear me. Thankfully Rainbow, was looking into a crystal ball, making funny faces, totally oblivious to me and Trixie whispering to each other.
I could feel that damn spell working. I quickly closed the book and I lay it over my crotch.
She whispered into my ear, “Well, I'm sorry, you are just so sexy. I had to see the potential. Plus I have never felt love” she sighs. I look at her with amazement.
“Me, sexy? No Fuckin’ way! I'm not sexy!” I whisper indignantly. “and I thought you were a bachelorette, just never saying yes to any stallion who asked.”
“I say otherwise.” She replies in a lusty whisper. “Both ways, unfortunately”
“look, Trixie, you are a great mare, but in America, it’s a bad thing to have more than one girlfriend” I whisper to her, unaware that Rainbow was now standing behind me, listening.
“Oh you silly. In Equestria, it is encouraged to have a herd.” Rainbow cuts in. I jump and force myself to breathe deeply.
“What!?” I ask, confused about the application of the word, ‘herd’.
“Well, since there are about four to five mares per stallion in Equestria, it makes sense for a stallion to make a herd. . .” Rainbow tells me, like it’s obvious.
“Ok rainbow. Thanks. And now that you’re listening, do you know what spell Trixie really put on me?” I ask her.
“No, why?”
I look at her with a straight face and say, “A spell that causes a never-ending boner”
Rainbow gasps and looks with amazement at Trixie. “did you. . .”
Trixie hung her head in shame. “Yes Rainbow, I did. I wanted him as soon as I saw him. He is so sexy. That’s why I had stuttered earlier.”
“Jackson?” Rainbow looks at me.
“Yes honey?” I reply, nervous about which way this will go.
“Are you willing to . . . to start a herd?” she asks, blushing a little at the end.
I look at her in amazement. “What, really? Are you sure? I-I don’t know what to say.”
Trixie butts in, saying, “Please, Jackson, just say yes.” Trixie looks at me with puppy-dog eyes. Rainbow does the same.
“If you say no, I might not remove the spell” Trixie threatens with a giggle.
“Trixie, I’m sorry. I cannot have you as a herd member. You’re a great mare, but I’m sorry.”
“Ok Jackson, here’s your spell. I had known it all along, really. I’m sorry.” She apologized and put the spell on me, blushing pure maroon.
“Ok, Jackson. Let’s go outside and test it.” Rainbow says, and then she saunters out of the wagon. I follow her out of the wagon. I get outside and all the ponies who had been watching Trixie earlier were watching me. I try my best to ignore them but I eventually I hid my face in a stage fright type thing I have.
“Ok get on my back. We’ll have to find out if it worked. The way I did it is that I imagine myself feeling lighter.” She kneels down and holds her wings back for me to get on.
“Ok” I reply. I walk over a little nervously. I step over her upper back and sit right behind her shoulder blades and imagine my weight decreasing.
“No, you’re still heavy. Try something else.”
“Ok,” I then imagine myself with my own wings, doing all sorts of stunts in the air, similar to what a Pegasus could do.
“That’s a little better. Can you decrease your weight more?”
I imagine myself in space, enjoying the huge view of the Earth like a giant piece of space junk with eyes and a brain.
I float off of Rainbow’s back slowly. “WHOOOAAAA!!! HEEELLP!!!” I cry out, slowly going higher, the ponies looking at me, gasping.
“INCREASE, JACKSON, INCREASE.” Rainbow cries out, already standing again.
I frantically imagine myself falling like a boulder thrown from a bully’s hand.
Before I can even form coherent thought again, I hit the ground, hard. I must have been at least 15 feet off the ground by everyponies’ stunned stares.
A pony from the crowd spoke first. “How did you do that, human?”
“Umm, first time, I imagined myself flying and doing stunts as a Pegasus. Second time, I imagined myself in space, looking down at the earth” I say in the direction I had heard the pony speak.
“You are awesome, Jackson. I think you should go see the princesses sometime on the topic of flying. They could think up something to assist with that skill you have. They will have a lot of interest in you.” Rainbow tells me.
“Ok, thanks . . . I think.”
“And this time, Jackson, just imagine yourself standing on the clouds.” Rainbow says.
“Ok.”
I cautiously imagine standing on clouds, enjoying the never-ending view. I feel the downward force of gravity on my feet and back decrease a little. I probably weigh about fifty-some pounds now, with the same muscle mass as before.
I jump towards Rainbow, a good twenty feet away, assisted by my decreased weight. I was enjoying this spell a little too much. I giggle while I flew through the air.
I landed on her back perfectly and she said, “Careful, Jackson, I don’t want you to get hurt.”
“Don’t worry, baby,” I reply. “I have it under control now. See ya Trixie. Sorry.” I wave and she waves back, her face maroon and her head hung in shame.
Rainbow then flares her wings, and takes off, turning towards Cloudsdale.
I can tell Rainbow is going easy for my sake. I look down and my stomach flies into my throat, but my eyes sparkle with great joy. I look straight forward again, just enjoying the view of everything above and level with our height.
“You can fly as fast as you want, I can live with it.” I force out.
She looks back to me and asks, “Really? Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure, Rainbow.”
She smirks mischievously, looks forward again, and we suddenly shoot forward at high speed. I loved it. The wind in my face and ruffling my hair, the little up-down-up of Rainbow flapping her wings, it was all amazing! About a half-hour later, I noticed her speed was steadily decreasing.
“Are you ok, Rainbow?”
“No. . . I need . . . some rest,” she pants out.
I saw a clearing and pointed at it. “There’s a spot to land. Let’s take a break, ok?”
For an answer, she angled downwards and circled. After a few minutes of coasting and circling, we landed. I jumped off, restored my original weight and looked back at Rainbow.
She was dead asleep, still breathing a little heavily from the workout she just went through. I was bored almost instantly, so I reached into her saddlebags to acquire my backpack, or more specifically, what was in my backpack.
I pulled my pack out of her saddlebag and opened it. I rifled around for a minute before I found it.
‘Finally, I can play my DSi, with no interruptions’
I turn it on and start playing ‘Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky’. I had been playing for fifteen minutes or so when I heard a branch snap nearby.
I closed my DSi and placed it in the backpack, which I then held an arm strap in two hands. I heard a leaf crunch behind me. I saw the creature making the noise. It was a timber wolf. Scratch that, a whole bunch of timber wolves. And they looked angry.
“Oh shit!” I exclaim worriedly. “Rainbow, wake up. We gotta go!
She must have had “good “dreams because she looked at me lustily after her eyes opened.
“So, what have you been up to?” she said sultrily.
“screw what I’ve been doing, we gotta get out of here!” all lust on her mind disappears in an instant, replaced by extreme fear.
She stands up and flares her wings.
I decrease my weight, toss my bag perfectly into her saddlebag and land on her back, in front of her wings. She takes off quickly, the timber wolves barely missing her hooves with their teeth.
Twenty minutes later, we arrived at the gates of Cloudsdale. I saw all the ponies stop and glare at us. I got a little nervous, but we were through the gates before I could see anything else.
“This is Cloudsdale, Jackson. It is the biggest Pegasus city you will find in all of Equestria.”
I looked around in amazement. This was awesome; Pegasi living on a cloud like it’s a giant city.
She landed and suggested, “Maybe we should walk now.”
I dismount and tenderly put one foot on the clouds.
“It’s fine Jackson. This is a heavily used cloud-road. There is less to worry about falling through, because the clouds are more compacted down. Just be cautious about the cloud edges, they aren’t as solid as the roads are.”
I place my decreased weight on the surface of the clouds and sigh in no small amount of relief. She then leads us to her house. It took fifteen minutes or so.
I wasn’t paying attention to anything but my surroundings. I was looking all around at all the sights that no human has ever seen before. I enjoyed it.
After what felt like no time at all, we arrived at Rainbow’s house. It was made of clouds like everything else. A typical Pegasus cloud-house, but more quaint.
“Make yourself comfortable, Jackson” she told me. I didn’t need telling twice. I walked inside and looked around. It was a quaint little house with almost no furniture or anything to make it feel home-y.
“Why is it so . . . unfurnished?” I asked.
“I barely ever use it, so I don’t buy stuff to make it look nice.” she replied.
I walk into another room and realize it was the bedroom. There were two beds, but there was no wall separating them or anything. ‘Doesn’t matter though does it?’
‘We’re in a relationship, so we can cuddle in a bed together, nothing else.’ I muse.
I walk out of the bedroom and check another room. It must be some sort of storage area.
“That’s the kitchen” she tells me.
“Oh, ok” I reply.
I walk back into the living area and take a seat on the couch. “So, what now?” I ponder, to myself more than Rainbow.
“Well we could go shopping or we could sit and chat. Maybe we could go to Twilight’s library and get some books. Any ideas?”
“First, I don’t really like shopping. Second, I don’t feel like talking much right now, cuz I'm more of a listener. Maybe later, though. Third, going to see Twilight gives me a bad gut feeling. You already know why.”
“Oh yeah, you don’t want to lose me and/or get your body and soul merged with Twilight’s.” she remembers. “but she might want to make our herd into an actual herd, Jackson.”
“I know, Rainbow” I think for a second
“. . . I just got an idea. Can I see my backpack, Rainbow?” I ask my rainbow-colored marefriend.
“Sure” she says.
she gets my backpack out of her saddlebags and tosses it to me. I catch it and rifle through it. I pull out: my xbox 360, the power cord for it, a small TV, a controller, and the A/V cord. I plug the power cords of the TV and the Xbox into the cloud wall, not sure if there is enough current to run both electronics. I plug the Xbox 360 A/V cord into the Xbox and the TV. I turn on the TV and Xbox and watch Rainbow’s reaction.
I giggle a little watching Rainbow contemplate how I did this and what the TV screen is doing. ‘She probably doesn’t even know what the Xbox or the TV are really called, I’m pretty sure’ I chuckle to myself.
“That looks a lot like the setup Princess Luna has in her cantelot castle” Rainbow states “it just looks a lot smaller”
“really, the Princess Luna here is gamer luna?” I ask, suddenly upbeat about my transportation here. Then I remember something
“aww shit. Is Princess Celestia- does Princess Celestia do anything odd?” I ask, nervous if it is either tyrant celestia, trollestia or . . . maybe even . . . Molestia. I hope definitely not the last one.
“no, she seems normal” Rainbow replies
No raping or hurting or tyranny for princess celestia then?” I ask hopefully.
“What would put those beliefs of our fair ruler in your head?”
“Rainbow, I can’t even begin to explain. So forget it.” I bite at her, a little too harshly
“Ok ok I won’t ask about it much” she replies
“How much current goes through these clouds in amps and volts?” I ask, changing the subject.
“About 150 volts and 5 amps,” she replies.
“Constant or variable?”
“Constant, unless there is a lightning storm. Then it gets increased to 500 volts and about 20 amps.
“Good that’s way more than enough power” I say to myself.
I open the tray, deposit the disc, ‘Fallout: New Vegas’ in the tray, and close the tray. I then sit and wait for a minute to let the console read the disc. As soon as the words “Fallout: New Vegas” and a cool icon for the game show up on the upper left square on the TV, I hit A on the controller and let the game start.
I had been playing for about an hour when I decided I was bored with this game. I went back to the home menu of the Xbox, ejected the disc, removed it, placed it in its proper case and rummaged around in my backpack for a racing game I so very loved.
“I didn’t like that game, Jackson. Too much blood and guts.” She shivered.
“I understand, Rainbow. It’s always rough when you see something nasty you’ve never seen before. And I'm sorry I didn’t realize it would affect you so much”
“it’s ok. Just please don’t play that game while I'm around, or any other gory game.”
I pulled out all my games from the pocket they were in, shuffled through them until I had found the one I wanted to play; ‘Forza 3’. I placed it in the open disc tray, closed the tray, loaded the game, and played it.
Her face changed from mild disgust in the last game to extreme interest in this game.
“Is that a racing game!?” she squealed.
I answered her question with the starting of the game and the choosing of a track and car. I was playing free play so I didn’t have to buy a car to race it. I chose the fastest car the game could offer and the biggest oval track too.
Before I could explain what was happening, the start timer counted down from three. On go, the car I had chosen, the Bugatti Veyron squealed off the line with smoking tires.
I could tell Rainbow really wanted to jump into the screen and race the Bugatti, but I knew two things; one, the Bugatti would probably smoke her, and two, she couldn’t jump into the game and start racing anything anyway.
The Bugatti flew around the track at over 250 miles per hour, sliding out a bit at the end of each corner.
Five laps and 50-some miles in, I got bored with that and turned the Xbox 360 off. I looked over at Rainbow and saw she was asleep and breathing heavily.
‘heh, she must have imagined herself racing against the Bugatti’ and I wasn’t so surprised. What would you expect from the fastest Pegasus in all of Equestria? There was nopony who could be a challenge for her anymore.
. . . or maybe it was from lust that she breathed so heavily. . .
Either way, she was asleep and I wouldn’t bug her, and that earlier possible fact won’t bother me.
I suddenly felt bone tired and pulled my phone out to check the time. It was only 8PM. Kinda early for me to go to bed, but who cares, I was tired.
I went to the bedroom, laid down on the smaller bed and fell asleep within a minute.
