//-------------------------------------------------------// The HIE Story That Needs A Name -by ChaosBrony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Hive //-------------------------------------------------------// The Hive Chapter 1: The Hive As Chaos awoke the first sensations he noticed were pain, followed by panic, he was floating in a weird, green liquid, it reminded him of murky water Chaos tried to move around only for a sharp pain to explode across his back, the pain continued and Chaos again fell into blissful unconsciousness, not noticing as his wounds slowly sealed, a single bullet floating out of a large hole in his back before that started to heal as well. Chaos slammed into the floor jolting him into consciousness, the earlier pain was gone; but he felt muddled, unfamiliar with his body. The mercenary tried to rise but soon fell back down onto... stubs of arms; Chaos gave a cry of shock raising his arms to look at them. they were covered in holes and they were rounded at the ends, like hooves but hard, and black; they were smooth, almost metallic in texture, almost like they had a shell covering them. Chaos felt his shock disappear replaced by curiosity and confusion, he peered backwards spotting a pair of small insectoid wings; they seemed far too small to lift him, as well as a second pair of hooves similar to his front pair. Chaos attempted to stand, yet again, this time taking note of his equine form and accounting for it, he succeeded in hauling himself to his hooves and peered around the dank, dark cave he was in, taking note of the odd, hollow thing that was leaking green liquid. Chaos leaped away from the odd substance, shaking his leg furiously. Having dispelled enough of it to feel slightly less disgusted, he strolled off in the only direction the cave lead. Chaos soon found a large hollow space, filled with trees and greenery, despite the lack of sun-light inside the cave. there were a few huts scattered around the area, Chaos walked up to one and knocked, tapping his hoof lightly on the door. The door opened and something similar to him, but not quite the same stepped out, this being was a mild blue, with pale blue hair, clearly female, she gave a semi-warm smile and greeted him, saying “Welcome... um, what was your name again? Trixie has trouble remembering your names.” Chaos gave a calm smile; “it's okay, you shouldn't really remember my name, I haven't met you before, I'm Chaos.” the blue equine gave him an odd look, before saying; “well, Trixie is pleased to meet you, Chaos.”  Chaos nodded before saying simply, “same to you.”  Chaos' voice wavered as he spoke; “I'm a bit new, do you know where I can find the person in charge here?” Trixie gave him an even weirder look; “how do you not know how to find Chrysalis? Any Changeling always be able to contact her!” She exclaimed. Chaos looked even more confused; “I don't know, all I know is I woke up in a cave and you were the first person I met!” He said, eyes wide Trixie seemed to realise, this Changeling needed help, he was asking for help and she was worried about trivial ideas. Okay, Trixie will help you find your way she said after a moments hesitation. Soon they were travelling through the large forest-like area, “so how does this entire setup work? I thought trees needed sunlight to grow.” Chaos asked peering up into the thick foliage above, seeming distracted by the conundrum. Trixie answered, “Trixie... Trixie actually has no idea.” The blue mare admitted blushing slightly. Trixie turned to Chaos, looking at him with a curious expression, “what about you, mysterious stranger? What's your story?” Chaos gave her a look before saying; “ you know, just the usual, took a bullet through a magical shield, felt an immense amount of pain, woke up here.” The look on Chaos' face was completely serious. Trixie gave him a look that said; “I can't tell if you're yanking my leg or not,” she said as much. “It's true, every single word.” Chaos stated with a half chuckle, “apart from that last sentence.” They were quickly approaching a cave, this one had a very wide entrance and seemed better lit than the first cave, as if it was meant to be very commonly travelled, after a few minutes of travel they came upon a wide, decorated area, Chaos walked right in, and the assembled group of Changelings all turned and STARED at him.
