"I know its hard for you but duty calls" said a snow white earth pony stallion with a light blue mane and a sun and a moon with a sword going thought it on his flank and grey hooves. Then he held a lavender earth pony filly with glasses and a necklace with a white jewel in his arms then he petted her golden orange mane that almost looked like a colts. "We're gonna be okay Medallion, we always have".
"You maybe right Stainless and who knows I might like where we're moving" said Medallion with a week smile. She looked at her brother with her rich golden eyes and gave him a hug. They got on the train and started to move towards there destination The next day, the whistle blew meaning they were at there destination, Ponyville. They hopped off the train and made there way to there new home. Stainless Steal started unpacking his things and Medallion did the same. After a few hours of getting settle Stainless Steal took Medallion to Ponyvill's schoolhouse. After a few hours of walking they finally made it as they walked in all the students were watching her. Her heart raced and her knees turned to jelly. Then the nervous little earth pony filly hid behind her older brother.
"Stainless Steal its been forever sense I seen you" said Mrs. Cheerilee. "How have you been"?
"I have been great" answered Stainless Steal with a charming tone in his voice.
Cheerilee looked behind Steal and saw little Medallion looking down shyly and hiding behind her brother. "Come, it's okay, I don't bite" said Cheerilee encouraging her to come out. After she saw her peek out from behind him she said, "Oh this must be Medallion oh you look just like your mother, beautiful, and smart looking". Then Medallion perked her ears down.
"Oh mind her she's a little shy. It's okay Dalli come out, everypony want to say hello to you"
"I don't know there's so many of them and there so, watchful"
"It's alright some of the students here are friendly" said Cheerilee.
"There looking at me".
"It's because they want to meet you kiddo" said Stainless Steal encouragingly.
"It's almost time for recess you can meet all the nice colts and fillies on the playground" said Cheerilee. The bell rang telling all the colts and fillies to play outside.
"Okay kid I have to got to work, also here's some advice, make friends they'll make you really happy here I guarantee it" said Stainless Steal. Before he walked out the door he gave he's sister a quick peck on the head. She walked outside to the playground with a confident grin.
"Alright Medallion time for you to make some friends" She said to herself. She froze for a second not sure witch pony to meet first. Which one, I'm not sure about this. No, you promised your brother you'll make friends and that's what your gonna do she thought to herself. Then her eyes were caught by two earth pony fillies. One was pink and had a pale violet mane and white streaks going through it and had a tiara on her head and her cutie mark matched her tiara. The other one was dark grey and had a light grey mane with a braid in it and a spoon as her cutie mark. They look nice I should meet them She thought with a large smile.
"Hi I'm Medallion it's nice to meet you".
"Like we would talk to a loser blank flank like you" said Silver Spoon with her muzzle in the air.
"I guess your to stupid to realize that" answered Diamond Tiara.
"Yeah I mean, look at your glasses they make you look like a nerd" Silver Spoon snickered.
"What a dumb looking mane cut, it makes you look like a colt" Laughed Diamond Tiara. Medallion laid in the grass with tears rolling down her face and her nose sniffling.
"How about that nickname her brother gave her, Dalli who would want that nickname" mocked Diamond Tiara.
"I guess he's confused by her hair too" answered Silver Spoon with a large grin on her face.
Then a light darkish blue earth pony colt with a dark blue ruffled mane and tail stepped and yelled, "LEAVE HER ALONE"!
"Ooh what are you gonna do Gamey Daze" asked Silver Spoon faking fear.
"You guys keep making fun of her and find out"
"You know Gamey your coat looked better when it was covered in ink" cackled Diamond Tiara as she got in his face.
"Oh same to you now beat"!
"Well see you two later" giggled Diamond Tiara.
"BLANK FLANKS" Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon chanted to make them feel bad.
"Are you okay miss" he asked. Medallion only looked away cause she's afraid he might make fun of her too. "I'm Shady Daze" he said cheerfully. Medallion stayed silent and looked to the ground. "Whats your name" asked Shady Daze.
"Oh um I'm Medallion" she said shyly.
"Medallion, what a beautiful name for a beautiful filly".
"What, you don't care about my looks"?
"I never judge a book by its cover, I learned that from my friend Applebloom". Then he noticed her necklace and said, "I love that necklace, where did you get that"?
"Oh this my mom gave it to me, my mom got killed when I was very young my brother is the family I have now"
"Wow t-that's really really sad" Shady sobbed. "When I get home I need to watch some Epic Pony Rap Battles of Equestria to get in a good mood again anyway me and my friends are starting a game wanna play"?
"Sure I would love to Shady".
"Come on, lets go then". They ran over the hill and saw a white earth pony filly with yellow hair and green eyes, a pinto colt with a brunet mane, a brown colt with a blond mane and an ice cream bowl on his flank, a cream colored pegasus with a light brown mane with caramel streaks and a scrawny body and a feather on hes flank, a light blue pegasus with brown hair witch covered his eyes, and 2 unicorns one with a scrawny, tall body and has a aquamarine mane and tail and the other has a greyish opal coat and a orange mane. "Hey guys you don't mind if the new girl plays do you".
"Na Shady we don't mind" said the pinto colt with a British accent.
"Come on, they said its okay". She shyly walked up the hill and everypony was looking at her, again. "Guys, this is Medallion, Medallion these are my friends". Once again she got spooked by the attention they where giving her and jumped behind Shady Daze.
"Wow she is shy" said the opal unicorn.
"It's okay Medallion, come on my friends wants to say hello" said Shady Daze calmly.
Medallion peeked out and said, "There staring at me".
"That's because they want to meet you" Shady explained. "The tall scrawny ones Snails and the opal one in Snips".
"Hey there" said Snips waving his hoof in the air.
The pinto colt approached her and said, "Hello dare my names Pipsqueak by most ponies call me Pip".
The brown colt came up to her and said, "Hi I'm Lickety Split but you can call me Split"
"Hi there I'm Chip Mint".
"I'm Featherweight".
"And that's Lemon Daze".
Lemon Daze broke her silents and said, "What are we standing around here for lets get this game started". Lickety Split tossed the ball in the air and bounced it towards Shady Daze and Shady hit it with his snout witch bounced near Snips.
"So tell me about yourself Medallion" said Lemon Daze after she bounced the ball towards Featherweight.
"Well you can tell I'm shy and I can be great at crafting".
"Sounds great" Lemon Daze commented. Lemon saw the ball coming towards Medallion and shouted, "Heads up"! Medallion looked up and the ball hit her in the face and knocked her off her hooves and unfortunately her glasses broke.
"Oh my I am so sorry" said Featherweight pleading for forgiveness.
"It's alright that happens sometimes". Her glasses fell to the ground in pieces she tried to pick them but Shady Daze already picked them up for her.
He said, "It's okay I got it. Lets go give them to Mrs. Cherailee so she can fix them".
"T-thank you" said Medallion in a soft gentle voice.
"For what" asked Shady.
"For being so kind. Your really thoughtful". Then Medallion gave him a kiss on the cheek. His cheeks reddened and looked down shyly. The two fillies, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon the same pair of earth pony bullies who where making fun of her before were giggling at them. And all because she gave him a kiss on the cheek?
"Aw looks like his girlfriend gave him a kiss" Silver Spoon cooed.
"Ignore them perhaps they might go away" said Shady icily. They made there way to Mrs. Cheerilee's office and the two fillies were 'coincidentally' going in the same direction.
"Look at that he's walking with is girlfriend" cooed Diamond Tiara with a slow tone
"Well I can't blame you. You two would make a cute couple" Silver Spoon snickered.
Don't react Shady they want you to react Shady Daze thought to himself.
"Oh what's a matter Shady cat got your tongue" asked Silver Spoon with a fake smoothness in her voice. He only glanced her way and said nothing as she was snickering. Then he went back the path he was walking to Mrs. Cheerilee's office. Then Diamond Tiara put her hoof in front of Medallion and tripped her. as doing so Medallion scraped her hoof on a rock. Blood started to trickle down her leg and she started to bawl like they made do before. Shady Daze held her hoof so she doesn't have to put any weight on it. She looked away and her face became a crimson red. Then he put her hoof around his shoulder and she started to limp near the schoolhouse.
Well at least I have something to cry about now Medallion thought.
As those two were giggling a pale yellow red maned earth pony with a red bow in her hair stepped in and yelled, "Y'all shut up at less she's not afraid to share his feelings with her unlike you two who are making like nothing"! They said nothing and flicked there tails as they left the scene. "Are y'all all right" she asked. "Howdy Shady".
"Hey Apple Bloom".
"Now who's she"?
"AB this is Medallion, Medallion Apple Bloom".
She gave a slight wave from her bad hoof and she struggled in pain for her it was really hard to just ignore the pain and she gave a few sobs followed by tears. Shady Daze wiped her tears away and said in soft, soothing like voice, "Now don't move it that much its gonna make it hurt". Glimmers off sunlight came off her rich golden yellow eyes and she started hugging and nuzzling him, pretty soon he started nuzzling her back. To think this colt was the only pony who stopped and cared about her besides her brother. "We'd better get you inside so Mrs. Cheerilee can bandage that hoof and fix your glasses".
He gave knock on the door to make sure she was in. "Come in" she said in a chipper tone. The trio came in the schoolhouse with Apple Bloom and Shady Daze carrying Medallion so her hoof doesn't pick up any viruses. "Oh what happened here" she asked, rushing to the lavender filly's side.
"You see Diamond Tiara tripped her and she scraped her hoof on a rock and it made her hoof bleed" Shady Daze explained "Oh and she got hit with a ball by accident and her glasses need to be fixed".
He handed the teacher Medallion's glasses and she said, "Well I'll have to talk to her father again".
"Again" Medallion said with a curious tone. "You're saying this happened before"?
"Sadly yes but mostly towards Apple Bloom and her friends".
"Yeah she thinks having a cutie mark and being the richest filly in Ponyville means she can treat everypony else like trash".
"That's just terrible" said Medallion. Shady and Apple Bloom set her on a chair so Mrs. Cheerilee can patch it up. Apple Bloom when back outside and Shady Daze was about to exit until Medallion spoke out, "You know you don't have to leave Shady".
"I know I'm making sure Apple Bloom left" Shady Daze explained. He pulled up a chair and sat next to her. She starts humming a tune to herself then she rested her hoof on a table and Shady followed suit. She brought back her hoof and blushed. Cheerilee was watching the 'lovely couple' while she was fixing her glasses. After Mrs. Cheerilee was done fixing her glasses she put them on her face and she can see more clear. Mrs. Cheerilee got a first aid kit and slightly dabbed the hurt hoof and wrapped it up in bandages. The bell rang and all the foals came in and Shady Daze and Medallion got to there original seats.
"Alright my little ponies today's art assignment is a group activities so everypony pair up two per group" said Mrs. Cheerilee with her chipper tone. After all the foals gotten instructions they hopped out of there chairs and started to pair up. Medallion sat at her chair and looked at her desktop she wasn't a big fan socializing. She only looked at her bandaged hoof and sighed.
"Hey want to be partners" asked Shady Daze as he came up to her. She gave a simple nod and Shady Daze pulled up a chair. "So what do you think we should draw" he asked hoped that she might have ideas.
She thought for a moment then an idea popped in her head. "Maybe we can do a romantic scene and it can be under a starlight sky".
"Yeah and a happy couple under Princess Luna's moon" Shady Daze continued for her.
"Yeah and the filly comes closer to the colt like this" said Medallion as got closer to Shady Daze. She started to closer her eyes and snuggle up to him.
"And the colt puts his hoof around the fillies shoulder like this" said Shady Daze as his put his hoof on Medallion's shoulder. Then he started nuzzling her face and she gave a nuzzle back. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were at the desk next to them and Diamond Tiara was pointing her hoof at her mouth wile it was open and her tongue was out.
Then they started chaining "Medallion and Shady underneath a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G".
Then they both open there eyes to recognize they where cuddling each other they turned away from one another and there faces were crimson red and Shady daze was rubbing the back of his head and Medallion was rubbing one of her arms with her hoof. "Let's get started on the project" said Medallion changing the subject. after 15 minutes of drawing it finally cam out as two pony's under the night sky with a full moon. "We want to present our picture now Mrs. Cheerilee".
"Alright give it up for our first volunteers" said Mrs. Cheerilee. The students in the room all clapped except for Diamond Tiara she was prepared to be bored out of her mind.
Medallion took there picture they drew and taped it on the chalkboard she wiped off some sweat, took a deep breath and explained, "You see the star night sky represents the beauty of the night and the couple. The couple represents the bond between them that can't be broken by anything or anyone also represents the glow that lives in everypony. No matter how cold the heart is theirs love". All the foals in the room clapped for her including Silver Spoon who felt joy. Silver Spoon who was so mean before now see's happiness in is purest form.
Shady Daze pulled out a boom box and turned on a song
he bowed his head and reached out his hoof. "May I have this dance" he asked in a soft gentlemen like voice. Medallion was surprised, stunted even nopony has ever done this for her. She gave a simple nod and she reached out her hoof for his. Until there hooves met he pulled her in closer and they started to dance the waltz. Medallion took a deep breath and started to sing the most beautiful way anyone ever herded.

The bell rang telling the students that class was dismissed. All the colts and fillies surrounded Medallion and Shady Daze. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon where the ones who left the class last out of the pack. "This is hoarse apples" yelled Diamond Tiara.
"Diamond calm down please" said Silver Spoon telling her not to cause a scene.
"Calm down that's easy for you to say who is she to take away our place" said Diamond tiara rising in anger.
"Come on now it will hopefully wash over".
"WASH OVER" she yelled. Then she kicked a sign post so hard it flew all the way over the fence. Silver Spoon was in shock she never saw Diamond Tiara that angry before besides the time her dad forced her into that bunny costume. She admitted was funny but turned serious in a second. "And what makes her so special whats so special about her at all"! Diamond Tiara stormed home leaving Silver Spoon behind. Silver Spoon put her ears down and bowed her head to the ground and started walking home herself.
