I... I Don't Need To... It's Fine...by Timey-WimeyChapters*Gulp*Eep!Um... I-I Have A Crush...You Don't Need To Take Care Of Me... That's Alright...*Gulp**Gulp* Rainbow Dash woke up and yawned. It was the morning after Fluttershy had asked her to speak with Spitfire and today was the day she'd set her friend up with the stallion of her dreams. She jumped out of bed and rolled her shoulders a few times, feeling the joints pop and crack. She cracked her legs, hooves and wings before stretching out her entire body, a shiver of pleasure running through her sleek form. She changed into her uniform as Celestia's sun came through her window and she trotted outside, feeling the warmth of the sun's rays. It was a nice enough day, perfect day for training. She beat her wings a few times before taking off, going at an easy pace to avoid straining her muscles. As the Academy came in sight, she could easily make out the forms of pegasi flying this way and that, others lounging for a break and some working themselves to the bone. She could see Thunderlane practicing on the Dizzitron, Cloudchaser making out with Snowflake... Again, Midnight Strike was soaring through the hoops with practiced ease and Spitfire was walking out of her office, brown shades on. A loud whistle bid her to speed up and she landed in line with the other pegasi, standing to attention as Spitfire marched towards them. The golden mare looked down the line as she paced in front of it, scowling at Cloudchaser and Snowflake who were pretty much glued to each other. She stuck a hoof between them to separate them. "No time for romance." She bark gruffly and stopped when a hoof prodded her. She turned to look at Rainbow Dash, impatience in her brown eyes. "What?" She snapped. Rainbow saluted her. "Ma'am, I would like to request meeting with you after training, Ma'am!" She said in orderly fashion, never looking the Wonderbolts' captain in the eye. Spitfire nodded. "Request accepted. NOW," She turned to look at the line of pegasi, their spine straight, their chins up as they glared at the air. "I want to see laps! Fast as you can go, don't stop until you hear the whistle! GET UP THERE!" She ordered blasting on the whistle. Instantly, the assembled trainees took off, pumping their wings as they sped around the track. She looked with a criticizing eye at all the pegasi, picking apart their performances. "Thunderlane move those wings! Cloudchaser stop drooling over Snowflake and get in gear! Midnight Strike watch those turns! Snowflake use those tiny wings of yours and move that flank! Milky Way pull yourself out of that cloud and try harder!" She shouted. Rainbow felt the prismatic trail behind her flashing proudly as she went as fast as her wings would allow. She passed Brolly, Cloudchaser, Snowflake, Thunderlane, Midnight Strike and Lime Jelly until she was at the head of the pack. She whipped around the circuit until her wings were numb, slowing her pace a bit but not enough to keep her from being first. A loud whistle made her screech to a halt and drop, landing along with her fellow pegasi. Right beside her Milky Way panted heavily, wings hanging at his sides. Spitfire walked down the line again, a sneer on her face. "Those weren't too bad... If you were looking to FAIL. You need to hurry those tails up because next time you do laps it won't be so easy. You're missing a member today because Pizzelle tore her bicep in a nasty crash this morning, so make sure you don't end up like her. We don't have time for injuries. Now I want you all to do something that you choose. Take on of the many tricks you know and pick the best one to perform in front of the everypony here!" She ordered. Five minutes later, she tweeted her whistle and pointed at Sightseer. "Get up there and show us a trick! Starburst get ready because you're next!" Rainbow Dash watched as the pegasi did their tricks. Snowflake did an impressive 30 barrel rolls in a row, Lime Jelly made a small twister and Brolly even managed to pull off dodging lightning. "Rainbow Dash get up there!" Spitfire hollered. The colorful pegasus complied, shooting into the air and climbing as high as she could. When breathing started to get harder, she hovered for a moment and positioned herself so that she was pointing downwards. Her wings started beating faster until she shot down, buzzing them frantically. She could feel the resistance start to build up, static crackling around her. Tears were forced from her eyes, trailing behind her and her lips flapped but she pushed through it. Pale flashes of color came around her and the cone thinned, making her stretch. Just as she felt like she was going to be torn in half, the colors strengthened and she shot forwards, a loud explosion ringing and making the clouds shake. A disc, the glowing gradient display of a rainbow shot out behind her, her mane and tail merged into one to become a blazing rainbow. She did rolls, loop the loops and spins until the trail wore off, leaving her hair brighter and sparkling as she touched down on the clouds, panting. Spitfire ran over and looked at her in amazement. "Wow kid... I have to admit it, but that was really impressive. I knew you could pull of a Sonic Rainboom, but I was knocked out at the time so I never saw it. You deserve a breather kid, I'll come talk to you in a minute." She said, giving her a congratulatory pat on the back. Dash nodded her thanks and flapped slowly onto a clouds that had been shaken loose by her stunt. She flared her wings and let them catch the air as they drape on the cloud. She knew she'd regret this later, her back always cramped up after a Sonic Rainboom, but for now she just wallowed in her pride, watching as the other pegasi tried to pull of something half as good as what she'd done. After a while, she saw Spitfire coming closer and sat up, wincing as the muscles in her back started to seize up. Spitfire touched down next to Rainbow and pulled off her shades, revealing her brown eyes. "Alright Dash, what's on your mind?" She asked, sitting down. Deciding it'd be pointless, Rainbow cut right to the chase, "I have a friend named Fluttershy. She's got a thing for Soarin', not a celebrity crush thing she's actually in LOVE with him. They've met before, I've seen her talk to him once or twice and she always leaves blushing." She explained. Spitfire nodded thoughtfully. "Can you describe her? Soarin's met plenty of mares so you'll have to be more specific." Rainbow smiled, she had a chance! She proceeded to describe everything about Fluttershy, from her appearance to her shyness. Spitfire's eyes widened and brightened, a smile on her face. "Soarin' told me he met a pretty mare, but never got her name. He told me he had a crush when he was a colt, but he never learned her name. I can't wait to tell him, he's crushing on the Element of Kindness!" She chuckled. "I'm gonna guess you want me to get him to go ask her out? Sure kid, I'll talk to him about it. He'll be thrilled. Whenever we have a show he always looks for her and tells us that if we see a pale yellow pegasus with a long pink mane then we stop the show so he can go and talk to her." She explained. She hadn't smiled like this in a while, it felt really good. Rainbow nodded. "Thanks Ma'am." She started to stand but her back protested and she grunted with the effort. "Do you have any pain medicine here? Ugh, my back always cramps when I do a Sonic Rainboom." She groaned, rolling her shoulders and letting out a sharp gasp. Spitfire nodded. "Yeah, they're in the kitchen you just have to ask the cafeteria mare for them. I'll talk to Soarin' and see what I can do for you." She called before flying off, ready for her lunch break and a nice discussion with Soarin'. Rainbow watched as she sped off and limped slowly towards the kitchen, ready for a nice meal and some disgusting medicine that would fix up her burning muscles. ~~~~~ "Soarin'!" The bright blue stallion turned to see Spitfire walk in, a smile on her face. "What is it Spits? I have things to do, Blaze wanted to show me a new trick." He asked. Spitfire grabbed him around the shoulders and shook him. "I know who your mystery mare is Soarin'!" She squealed. Soarin' tried to push her away. "Well I can't go meet her in you dislocate my shoulders!" His voice vibrated and he managed to shover her away with one back leg. His annoyance forgotten, his face brightened. "Who is it?" He demanded, starting to bob up and down with happiness. "Sweet Celestia I've waited so long for this! TELL ME." He demanded, pushing his face into hers. Spitfire pushed him away with a hoof on his snout. "Easy there lover boy it isn't me so don't go trying to smooch me. Her name's Fluttershy, she lives right outside Ponyville. So forget your tricks with Blaze, go get dressed and get your mare!" She snapped, pushing him towards his closet. Soarin's jaw gaped. "Fluttershy? As in the Element of Kindness? She's way out of my league Spits! She's an Equestrian hero and I'm just a Wonderbolt, why would she want to go out with me?" He asked, trying to stop his inevitable forced trek to his closet. Spitfire rolled her eyes. "Rainbow Dash is best friends with her and according to her, Fluttershy's got a thing for you! Not a celebrity fanmare thing, a real love! Stallion up, get dressed and go woo your lady before I drag you there by your ear!" She pushed him in and closed the door. She chuckled when she heard his pretend defeated sigh and smiled when she heard the rustling and sound of him grumbling about every little detail of his appearance. After a few moments, Soarin' stepped out. He was adorned in a tuxedo and his mane was slicked back. Well, it was, until it sprang back and shot a glob of hair gel onto the wall. He chuckled sheepishly before straightening out. "How do I look?" He asked in all seriousness. Spitfire giggled. "You look great. Now come on, go get her." She prodded him and he nodded, trotting away. "Oh and Soarin'?" He turned to her and she gave him a very serious glare. "You hurt her and I will make sure you fly until your wings fall off and then some. Got it?" She warned. The blue Wonderbolt nodded and took off, flapping his wings as he scanned the area for a small cottage. After a while he spotted it and descended slowly. ~~~~~ Fluttershy had been warned earlier by Rainbow Dash that she had spoken with Spitfire Soarin' might stop by. She sat in her living room, looking out the window with shining eyes. She was wearing a pink silk dress. Nothing fancy, just a simple dress the had long sleeves on the forelegs and fell neatly around her back hooves. Her mane was braided with ivy and flowers, just like at the Gala. After a while she retired from the window and watched her animals, her hope dwindling to minimal levels. "Oh what if he doesn't come? Or what if he does and he doesn't like me?" She murmured sadly. A knock on the door snapped her out of her thoughts and she trotted towards it, opening it with her wing and gaping at who stood there. Soarin'. He was dressed in a tuxedo with a rose in his mouth. He smiled warmly at her and leaned in to slip the rose into her mane. "Hello lady Fluttershy. I am Soarin' and I'm her to ask you to accompany me for a stroll this evening. Will you accept?" He extended a hoof towards to astounded mare, his mind bouncing around with glee. Fluttershy hesitated for a moment before she took his hoof. "I-It would be my honor Soarin'." She stepped towards him and the moonlight cascaded over her, illuminating the world in silver. Soarin' smiled and they started walking side by side. "I was thinking of the park, does that sound good to you?" He asked politely. Fluttershy nodded. "Oh yes, that sounds lovely." She agreed. Soarin' nodded and stopped, gesturing with a foreleg. "After you milady." He offered, smiling when she giggled and took his offer. Now unlike most stallions, he didn't stare at her rump. He payed attention to the swish of her mane, the spring in her step. She was a beautiful mare, just as beautiful as she'd been when they were foals. Fluttershy felt her heart flying in her chest, butterflies flitting in her stomach. He was such a gentlecolt and so handsome. Her cheeks blushed a faint rose as he walked beside her. Tonight would be amazing. The two pegasi could feel it. Eep!The two continued walking, talking to each other like old friends. They spoke of performances, animals and the beauty of the scenery around them. At one point Soarin' placed his wing over Fluttershy's eyes and told her to just let him be her guide. He stopped when they were close to a grassy clearing and took his wing away, allowing her to see the fullnes sof the divine park. The yellow pegasus' eyes grew wide. The clearing was a cascade of silver surrounded by trees the swished faintly in the wind. Clouds dotted the sky here and there, the brilliance of Luna's canvas shining around them. Purple, deep blue and black mixed together, dyed silver and white around the shining moon and stars. Everything glowed under a natural light, as bright as the sun. But instead of warmth, it left a refreshing coolness as they walked towards the clearing. Soarin' lifted any branches as to not let Fluttershy get her mane or dress caught in them. He stopped her just before she stepped in a small puddle and watched as she daintily flew over, her twee form making his eyes sparkle. Everything about her was magnificent. Fluttershy admired the beauty of the park. She'd never been here at night and she loved how the moonlight lit up everything in a silver glow. She turned to look at Soarin', who was walking beside her. He looked back at her and smiled warmly, causing her to blush lightly and hide behind her mane, hiding her tiny shy smile. She peeked through the strands of her curled mane at him, adorned in a tuxedo with his mane that he had attempted to slick back but refused to stay down. He was so handsome, she couldn't help but admire him. He was such a kind stallion too, fame hadn't gotten to his head. He acted like such a gentlecolt to her, keeping branches away from her and making sure she never stepped in mud or puddles. Soarin' looked at her through the corner of his eye. She was beautiful, but delicate and fragile. He loved the dress she was wearing, pale pink just like her mane. It wasn't frilly or lacy, just a simple dress that fell nicely around her back hooves with long sleeves on the forelegs. Her mane was curled with ivy and flowers, just like what she had done at the Grand Galloping Gala. He closed his eyes and imagined when he'd seen her at the Gala. Her stunning dress, her styled mane and everything about her was beautiful, her personality was the most beautiful part of- "Ouch!" He snapped out of his trance and turned to see she had tripped and fallen over while he'd been distracted. Cursing himself for his ignorance, he quickly trotted back over and kneeled down to examine her. The scent of roses and lilies filled his nose and he gently nosed her mane aside. To his horror her could see tears in her eyes. Another mental kick to himself. "Fluttershy what's wrong? Are you hurt?" He looked directly into her eyes, feeling nothing but worry for the beautiful damsel. Fluttershy's back leg had snared a tree root, causing her to stumble. Tears pooled into her eyes and she sank away from Soarin', closing her eyes. "Oh I'm such a clumsy pegasus." She sniffed miserably. She had been having such a beautiful moment and now it was ruined just because she'd been careless to what was on the woodland floor. Soarin' felt his heart break for the fallen mare. "You're not clumsy. Everypony trips now and then, it's nothing to be ashamed about. Here." He stood up and offered her his hoof. After a moment, a pale yellow hoof took it and Fluttershy raised herself up. The shy mare let out a little squeak and winced, lifting one of her back legs above the ground with a pained look on her face. Soarin' gasped softly. She'd hurt herself! "Fluttershy are you ok?" He asked dumbly. "Wait, no, sorry. I can tell you're hurt. That was a dumb question. What's wrong?" He corrected, taking a step closer. Fluttershy shook her head in response. "I twisted my ankle..." She whimpered, her eyes tearing up again. She unfurled her wings to start flying, more specifically fly away and hide her face in shame, but she never got the chance. Something swept her off her hooves and she was on top of something. She looked down to see Soarin'. She was on Soarin's back. "S-Soarin'? What are you doing? I c-can fly." She asked. Soarin' chuckled. "I know, but in the romance books if the mare twists her ankle then the stallion carries her. So I think it's only proper if I carry my fair maiden." He explained, looking back at her with shining eyes. Fluttershy giggled softly and smiled at him. "Alright..." She agreed quietly as he started walking. "Oh, and Soarin'?" "Yeah?" "Thanks." She nuzzled his ear and wrapped her front hooves around his neck in a warm embrace. Soarin' blushed lightly as he felt her warm breath on his ear and her soft front legs around his chest. "No problem Fluttershy." An idea lit up his eyes as he thought of a way to make it up to her. He'd beat himself up when he got home, for now he wanted the poor mare to have a nice time. "Hold on." He bid her and unfurled his wings, taking off. On his back, he heard a soft gasp as Fluttershy realized what he was doing. The timid mare buried her face in his mane, but pulled out when she caught a glimpse of the amazing view. Her smile grew wider and the tears left her eyes. It was so beautiful, she could see every detail from a bird's eye view, traced in silver. She let out a soft cry of joy and hugged Soarin' tighter. After a few minutes of circling and climbing into the sky Soarin' landed on a cloud and helped Fluttershy off his back so that she could lay down on the cloud. "Alright, lets see that ankle." He said gently, laying down next to her and giving her a comforting smile. Fluttershy smiled back and stretched her back leg out to where he could see it. The Wonderbolt inched back and examined her leg, noting the slightly swollen joint and faint bruise. "It isn't bad so you should be ok. I'm sorry Fluttershy, this is my fault. If I'd been paying more attention I could've kept you from tripping." He sighed, looking at her with sadness in his eyes. "I'm sorry I ruined our date." He apologized. Fluttershy looked at him and giggled a bit. "Oh Soarin' you didn't ruin our date. Accidents happen, it's fine. I'm grateful you care though." She declined his apology politely, a smile on her face. A cold draft blew by their cloud, making her shiver. She felt something warm press against her and pull her into an embrace. She looked up to See Soarin' looking down at her, eyes shining with his wing drape over her like a blanket. Soarin' looked up at the sky, Fluttershy pressed close to him. He felt her rest her head on his chest and he looked into those eyes. Those beautiful shining teal eyes. A smile crossed his and he looked back up, pointing out constellations to her. "See that one? That's the Big Dipper over there. And if you look up from its handle you can see the North Star." He whispered. For a while that was what the two pegasi did, watch the stars together. As a shooting star shot by, they each made a wish. When Soarin' looked down again, he saw that Fluttershy had fallen asleep snuggled up to him. He smiled warmly at her and rested his chin on her head, keeping the night chill from getting to her. In that moment of serenity, something clicked inside Soarin's head. The perfect moment couldn't be planned, it just happened. You couldn't ask for a perfect moment, nothing could predict a perfect moment. Even a simple accident could cause a perfect moment. Even if it wasn't a kiss, it could still be perfect. Here, on a cloud, under the stars with a sleeping mare snuggled against him, was Soarin's perfect moment. Um... I-I Have A Crush...Fluttershy was reading a magazine in the waiting room for the spa. It was a nice place, the fragrance of millions of flowers and the warming sensation coming from the steam room was enough to make anypony want to stay for a spell. The chairs and couches were comfy and the managers, Aloe and Lotus, were just so nice to everypony. There was a chime as the door opened and Fluttershy looked up to see Rarity trot in. "Hi Rarity." She greeted softly. She put the magazine down and closed her wings to her sides, walking over to her. Rarity levitated her hat onto one of the nearby hooks and smiled at the pale yellow pegasus. "Hello Fluttershy! So sorry to keep you waiting I suppose I should start to leave the boutique earlier," She leaned to the side and looked at the twins, "The usual please!" She called. Aloe and Lotus beamed brightly and trotted into the spa room, followed closely by the two mares. They were fit into robes, Rarity's having her initials scrawled on it and lined with golden plumes. They stepped into the steam room and Rarity wrapped a towel around her mane to keep it from being ruined. Lotus poured water onto the heated rocks and steam billowed into the room, wrapping the residents in a warm embrace. The pair sat down on the bench and Rarity let out a dreamy sigh. "I always look forward to our weekly spa meetings. They're just so relaxing!" She gushed. Fluttershy nodded. "Oh yes. It's always so nice to spend time with your friends." She agreed, a warm smile on her face. She breathed in deeply and unfurled her wings, letting the feathers on their undersides get some of the relaxing treatment. "I just love the steam room. It's so nice." She murmured, eyes fluttering shut. After a relaxing time in the room, they moved on to facials. While Rarity got her entire face covered and cucumbers over her eyes, Fluttershy only got a light smear on each cheek. They sat on the massage tables and laid down, Lotus filing Rarity's horn. Aloe ran out with a file, but backed away as she remembered that Fluttershy was a pegasus. Rarity let out a relaxed sigh. "Oh Fluttershy we must get our friends to come here more often. It's simply magnificent here! I'm sure we could convince Rainbow Dash to at least get a nice massage. This place is worthy of the Wonderbolts!" Her voice started vibrating as Quake stepped forwards and began her massage, drumming her hooves on the unicorn's back. Fluttershy felt her muscles loosen and relax under the gentle rubbing hooves of Lotus. "Yes... It'd be nice to have the Wonderbolts come to Ponyville..." She trailed off dreamily as the image of them entered her mind. Rarity turned to the direction of her voice just as they took the facial cream off. "I didn't know you were a fan of the Wonderbolts Fluttershy. Tell me, who's your favorite? I simply adore Surprise, her lightning tricks are astounding!" She looked to her friend with eager eyes. Fluttershy hid behind her silky pink mane, hiding her blushing. "Oh... Um... I really like Soarin'... He just seems like such a nice stallion." She whispered, her face going redder by the minute. "But Surprise is really nice to. She reminds me of Pinkie Pie in some ways. Her mane and tail basically. When she doesn't have it spiked up, it's poofy like Pinkie's. She doesn't act like Pinkie though, she's a bit... harsh... When it comes to some things." She admitted, trying to change the topic away from a certain bright blue pegasus. Rarity didn't miss this. "I think Soarin's nice too. I saw him at the Gala with Rainbow Dash, he really does love his pie!" She giggled, bringing a hoof to her mouth. Fluttershy nodded. She peeked out from under her mane and her blushing face was visible to Rarity. "I met him once in Cloudsdale, a the Best Young Flier's competition. He was very nice to me. He said I was pretty and... graceful..." She trailed off and a smile crossed her face, small but warm. Understanding dawned in Rarity's blue eyes and she smiled brightly. "Fluttershy! You have a crush on Soarin'!" She sang, tapping her hooves together in glee. "I was beginning to think it'd never happen. Congratulations!" She added, showing her teeth in a huge smile. The pegasus' teal eyes widened and she hid behind her mane again, covering her face with her hooves. She felt the skilled hooves of Lotus leave her back and she got up, hurrying to the mud bath and walking into it. "Oh... Um... It's nothing, I don't really talk about it much..." She admitted, turning away. Rarity followed, her entire form was being wrapped with seaweed and she hopped into the mud bath beside Fluttershy's. "Dear there's nothing to be ashamed of! I think it's marvellous that you have a crush on somepony, especially a nice stallion like Soarin'. I've had crushes before and it's nothing to be ashamed about. I assure you that it's perfectly normal." She reassured her friend, resting a hoof on her shoulder. Fluttershy nodded, looking up at her friend. "Thanks Rarity. You're right, there's nothing wrong with a crush. I'll get over it eventually." She smiled. Rarity gasped. "Fluttershy! There shall be no talk about getting over it, you need to make a move! You should tell our friends, I'm sure Rainbow Dash could talk to him for you, or Spitfire." She pressed. "No.. that's fine..." "Please?" "I don't need to-" "Please?" "But-" "Please please please please-" "OK!" Fluttershy gave up and sighed. "I'll tell them. But please don't make this into a big deal? I'll see if Rainbow Dash can talk to him, but I don't want a date or anything." She agreed reluctantly. I have no hope of winning this argument. No harm can come of this... right? Rarity smiled and clapped her hooves together in glee. She stepped out of her bath, discarding the seaweed. She was followed by Fluttershy and they stepped into the rinsing area. The water was warm and soapy, cleansing the relaxing and cool mud from their bodies. Shining and soft fur was revealed as it washed away, vibrant with cleanliness. The two mares exited the spa, Rarity insisting on paying. They looked rejuvenated, clean and relaxed. Fluttershy's eyes were full of uncertainty and nervousness, while Rarity stepped forwards with confident strides, determination in her blue eyes. They reached Golden Oaks in next to no time. Rarity knocked on the door and stepped back as a purple aura wrapped around it and Twilight Sparkle answered. "Hi girls! Come on in!" She greeted warmly, stepping aside to let the pegasus and the unicorn in. Rarity turned to her and whispered something in her ear. The librarian nodded and turned to Spike telling him to write a few letters. It didn't take long for Rainbow Dash too arrive. Following her was Applejack and soon after came Pinkie Pie... Through the ceiling. Not wasting time to ask how she got up there, Twilight and the girls gathered around Fluttershy and Rarity, eyes full of curiosity as to why they were being called here. Fluttershy gulped and straightened her posture, trying to look assertive. "I-I..." She stumbled over her words and shrank back down, her face turning pink. "I... I have a crush." She murmured from behind her very helpful mane. Applejack leaned forwards. "What's that sugarcube? Didn't quite catch that?" She asked, concern taking form on her face. "I have a crush..." "Flutters you've gotta speak up. If you keep mumbling then we can't exactly help." "I HAVE A CRUSH!" Silence. Fluttershy suddenly became aware of the fact that she was airborne and dropped down, trying to shrink herself to the size of crumb and hiding behind her mane. "I... Um... I have a crush..." She repeated, quieter than before. Rainbow Dash chuckled. "Is that it? Fluttershy we've all had crushes at some point or another! Even me! Come on, who's the lucky stallion?" She nudged her with an elbow, a sly smile on her face. The others leaned forwards, Rarity smiling encouragingly at Fluttershy. The shy pegasus backed away a bit and looked at the floor. "...I-I have a crush on... Soarin'oftheWonderbolts." She stammered quickly. Pinkie Pie giggled. "You'll have to slow down silly. Nopony will under stand you if you talklikethis." She reminded, speeding up just like Fluttershy had done. Fluttershy gulped. "S-Soarin'... I have a crush on Soarin'... Eep!" She covered her face with her mane and wings. Rainbow Dash beamed and hugged her. "FINALLY you tell us! I was beginning to wonder if you were just gonna keep it bottled up the rest of your life!" She exclaimed, pink eyes shining. Applejack gave her a pat on the back. "'Bout time y'all admitted it. It was pretty obvious." She congratulated. Pinkie Pie nodded. "Yeah! I mean, you were always looking at those Wonderbolts poster whenever they were up and you kept just staring at Soarin' you silly billy!" She pretty much tackled Fluttershy as she bounced up and slung a leg around her neck. Twilight just smiled. "I know what it's like to have a celebrity and you have all the signs. Honestly Fluttershy it's nothing to be embarrassed about." She rested a hoof on her friend's shoulder and nodded encouragingly. Fluttershy blushed but smiled. "Um... Dashie? Could I talk to you for a minute? If that's ok with you I mean..." She mumbled. Rainbow nodded and followed Fluttershy upstairs, away from their friends. Before her friend could speak, she turned to her with a knowing look on her columbia blue face. "Let me guess; you want me to talk to Spitfire if she can get Soarin' to go on a date with you. Am I right?" She guessed. Fluttershy closed her jaw and nodded sheepishly. "Please don't tell the girls... I told Rarity I didn't want you to do that, but it seems so nice... I'd like to try." She admitted, swinging her front hoof a bit. Rainbow smiled. "Of course I'll talk to her. I can't promise anything though, but I'll try my best. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" She did the gestures and recited the Pinkie Promise before hugging her best friend. She pulled back and then looked her very seriously in the eye. "Shy?" "Yes Rainbow?" "I don't care who Soarin' is, but you've gotta listen to me. If he doesn't treat you right, if he does anything bad to you, if he makes you uncomfortable or if he breaks your heart, I will break his wings, rip them off and beat him with them. Got it?" Fluttershy giggled at the technicolor maned pegasus' protectiveness. "Of course Dashie." She reassured. The two hugged again, one ready to bounce with joy the other only wanting to make her best friend happy. If this lead to heartbreak for Fluttershy, the Wonderbolts would lose a member and Rainbow Dash would never forgive herself. Celestia tell me I'm doing the right thing... You Don't Need To Take Care Of Me... That's Alright...
*Gulp**Gulp* Rainbow Dash woke up and yawned.
