“Today seems off don’t you think?” she asked one of the guards; who nodded his head, “Well, I hope it isn't just me, but I feel like something big is about to happen here in Canterlot; and that it isn't very good either.

Then she felt the presence of an evil that she knew all too well. Discord was back.

But how?

She rushed to where he was usually kept, only to find his statue missing; and in its place was Discord in the flesh.

“So it was you that I felt! Why are you here, Discord?” she questioned as her horn glowed intensely In anger.

“Well, nice to see you too. It has been ages since I was here! And, well, I am here to finish our battle once and for all.

“So you're here for a final battle? So be it.” and then her horn stopped glowing as her cutie mark disappeared, and a small crystal fell to the ground next to her. She glanced surprisingly at her lack of cutie mark, “What have you done, Discord?

“Well you see it's the part of the game and the fight. You're not the only one without their cutie mark! Hahaha, I have marked your friends Twilight, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and Vinyl Scratch as well for this game.

“Why are you getting them involved?!” Celestia glared at her mortal enemy.

“Well, you will see soon enough, dear Celestia.”

-Meanwhile in Ponyvile-

Twilight was getting ready to head to Rarity's; when she noticed her mark gone. She panicked heavily, galloping around the library in search of a book with explanation. She was about to head to Rarity's to consult her, but before she reached the door, Pinkie and her friends appeared out of nowhere, each wallowing in sorrow and confusion.

“So, I guess you all have no cutie mark now, too, huh?” Then spike looked like he was going to vomit, when a parcel from the princess appeared.

Spike unfolded the scroll and read it to the confused ponies:

Dear Twilight,

Something terrible has happened. Discord has escaped and took our marks away; and wants to finish our “final” battle with a “game”. So I want you and your friends to Canterlot Castle immediately (bring the Cutie Mark Crusaders, too!)

And by immediately, I mean IMMEDIATELY.

“Okay, let’s go y'all! The princess needs us! Rarity and I will round up the Crusaders!” They nodded, scattering around ponyvile in an effort to get ready for what was to come.

“I’m ready, Twilight!” Applejack said as she came into the Library, followed by the rest of the Elements of Harmony and the Crusaders, which amounted to nine in all.

“So to Canterlot we go right?” Pinkie Pie confirmed.

“Yeah; and Discord is free again. I am sure of it, and I believe this will be our ultimate test, and each of us needs each other in this. Let's start and finish this together!” Twilight proclaimed, and each of the Elements of Harmony laid a hoof on each other's, and yelled, “Together!” We are here they said rushing to the gates of the castle.

Aw there they are i was wondering when they was to arrive discord said ,smiling madly. So we meet again discord Twilight and the rest said in union! indeed so shall we begin he said as they was transported  to another place which they knew not of where the ponies were. What the hay is this place discord rarity asked calmly with a sneer. this place is called the crystal grove which is where the fun will begin, i will not allow the elements of harmony to be used in this game or ponies will start dying left and right.

so for the rules of the fight to come is simple. you each will find your cutie marks all over again wich when you find it your crystal will disappear symbolizing that you have your mark. second each of you may pair up if you wish but one must look for there mark alone if they are to succeed in this fight. third things aren't all what they seem and even i don't know where all this is as well so i cant help you if i wanted to.

Do you understand all this and they nodded. well time to go then and then he separated all 10 of the ponies to different regions of the crystal verse. laughing like a mad dragon he disappeared into the day

Celestia's point of view

to all my ponies do not fret please be strong and find your cutie marks its the only way to defeat the evil discord has unleashed and i don't know if i am gonna be able to help you ponies in this so be careful this is a dangerous game discord is playing on our hearts and minds.

Twilights point

well looks like i am on my own on this one and looks like i cant do magic like i used to she thought to herself.she started to move forward trotting at a good pace to get baring of her the place she is at now which looked like a freakish forest.

to each there own they must seek out the trust each pony is given a mission to find their cutie marks and find the truth in Discords plan twilight AppleJack rarity fluttershy rainbow dash DJPON3 and the CMC each must keep friendships strong in order to survive. Each will face a common enemy and find new challenges and friendships tested to the max.

can they do it and is it possible yes they each believe so as they mark the way on the journey that can change the lives they live forever.

twilight Sparkle. a wise unicorn who studies in magic is lost in a forest of time in search for her cutie mark she is Accompanied by Sweetie belle so they stick together in search of the marks and their friends as well to stop what evil has brought little do they no the trail in which they will face.

twilight why did this happen to us i feel like we was tricked into a game of cat and mouse. i agree little one but we must not be scared we need to find our friends. yea but we also need to find our cutie marks as well we must stop discord, i know and we will defeat him this time for good. Mhm sounds like a plan to me sweetie belle said smiling for once sense the start of all this.

Meanwhile a certain unicorn was watching from a far. Aw trixie i see you found your target Gamebug said in a deep voice. Yes this time i will finish what i started once and for all> they continue to watch as the manikin army that discord made approached twilights location from a far.
