The orange pegasus gave the smallest of sighs as she stared off into the sunset, she had tried everything, even things she was good at, but this, she had never tried, and she might die trying. A crooked smirk crossed her face, she would get her cutie mark, or die trying. She spread her abnormally small wings, then jumped, she dropped downward, holding in a scream, Rainbow Dash would never like her if she screamed! She was going downward at an insane speed, she spread her wings, and...they were too small! She kept going downward, she now screamed, as loud as she possibly could, suddenly, everything turned white, yet she hadn't even touched the ground! She opened her eyes and looked around...she was at canterlot palace, a majestic alicorn stood in front of her, her white head lowered to her ear and whispered. "Spread your wings." Scootaloo's eyes went to the size of saucers as her wings grew. She looked at Celestia, who's horn was glowing and sparking as she concentrated.
Suddenly everything went white again, and she was falling, falling falling. She spread her newly large wings and flew upward, she looked at her flank, something was appearing!
Suddenly all that was spoiled as her eyes opened. "C'mon Scoot!" A familiar voice called, it was the voice of Applebloom. Scootaloo groaned, and turned over, savoring the dream for a few moments, she dozed off again.
"SCOOT!" Sweetie Belle yelled into her friend's ear.
Scootaloo immediately shot up, her eyes wide as saucers, she kept having that dream, every, single, night.
They were at Rarity's house, they were staying in her guest room, it was pretty empty but not at all lacking in fashion. There was lace strung across the walls as if some sort of wallpaper. The bed, it looked like a wad of lace, pretty much.
Yuck...Lace. Scootaloo thought as she stood up and stretched, shaking out her wings, the dream was still fresh in her mind, it was the strangest feeling she had, like something was clinging to her mind and refused to let go, she had no idea what it was.
"We've got some crusadin' to do!" Applebloom said, "So don't go an' fall asleep!" She grinned, and shoved open the door, and shoved Scootaloo out, Sweetie Belle trailed behind them, her mane still rather messy. They walked down the stairs into Rarity's sewing room, it was quite clean, everything neatly put away in the drawers. They began to walk outside, but then were stopped by a loud voice.
"Girls!"
"OH PONYFEATHERS." Sweetie Belle muttered, her ears flopping against her skull as she remembered none of them had brushed their hair, she turned around and saw Rarity coming downstairs from her room.
"Sweetie Belle! How can you possibly let yourself and you- nevermind, come here, girls." She said, levitating a hairbrush over to herself and giving each of them a small, sly smile.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders looked positively horrified.
With obvious reluctance and a rather rude groan, Sweetie Belle plodded laborously over to her, and turned around, plopping her rump onto the ground and waiting for her sister to brush out her mane, with each stroke she cringed, until Rarity decided she was done, Rarity did the same for the other two, and they were quite lucky she didn't decide to style them.
"There." Rarity said, a satisfied look in her eyes.
"Can we go now?" Sweetie Belle huffed at her, she absolutely despised having her hair done.
"Yes." Rarity replied with a grin. "You may go." She trotted off, satisfied, but then stopped. "WAIT!"
"What?"
"You haven't eaten yet!"
"Ponyfeathers."
They trotted into the kitchen, of course, it was very clean and neat, everything was put in its' proper place. You could tell a lot about a mare by her kitchen.
And you could definitely tell Rarity was the 'clean' type.
Rarity trotted over to the table and gestured for them to sit, and they did as she wished. "What would you like? Eggs? Toast?"
"Toast." All three of them said, it was the quickest alternative.
Scootaloo groaned and rested her head on the table in a bad-mannered fashion as she watched Rarity pull toast out of her cupboard and shove it into the toaster. When two pieces were done she paused.
"One or two pieces?" Rarity asked, her ears twitching as she listened for their reply.
"One!" They all decided, perking up as they realized this would be even shorter than they thought it would be.
"One it is." Rarity said, and pulled out three plates, she placed one piece on two of the plates before placing another piece of bread in the toaster. Those two came out, and she placed one piece on the other plate, then trotted over and neatly placed the plates of toast in front of them, ignoring the fact for once that they ate as fast (And it seemed as grossly) as they could. She merely turned her head, "Feel free to go crusading when you're done." She said, suppressing a gag.
At that moment, there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it!" Rarity ran as fast as possible to the door.. She opened it quickly as possible. "Oh! Rainbow Dash! It's you!" Rarity gave a slightly mad chuckle.
Rainbow Dash's eyebrows raised. "You okay, Rarity?"
"Fine just fine!" Rarity said, though by the look on her normally calm face you could see she felt sick.
Rainbow couldn't help herself, she burst out in a continuous, loud laughter.
"You laugh now, but just you wait!" Rarity hissed, letting loose a snort. "What was it that you wanted?" She huffed in annoyance.
"Oh... I forgot." Rainbow Dash laughed a little more, tears lines on her lower eyelid from the laughter, she looked around, then saw a little orange filly prancing toward her.
"Hey, Rainbow Dash!" The filly said jubilantly, having trouble staying in one spot and unable to contain her excitement. "Will you teach me to fly today?" She asked, still bouncing uncontrollably.
"Uh...Sorry, kid." Rainbow Dash said, her tail flicking as she looked from side to side. "I have a wonderbolts try out...Gotta go!" She flew off in a flash, leaving the others behind.
I wish I could fly... An orange head hung.
